Do not go to this restaurant unless you are prepared to spend a lot of money !
There are 2 parts to the restaurant: the public part on view from the street, which is very crowded, and a small part at the back of the hotel, near the bar, which isn't. We went to the latter and had an excellent meal. We started with crostini, and my wife then had he bouillabaisse and I had the veal cheeks, all washed down with a delicious bottle of Riesling. For dessert we both had chocolate torte with a glass of Kuchner sweet wine. The service was impeccable: friendly, attentive, quick. The food was all excellent. The only thing not to like was the bill (210 Euros) but of course as English people we are crucified on the appalling exchange rate resulting from the crazy decision to leave the European community, so we only have ourselves to blame. If you apply the exchange rate of 18 months ago the meal would have been very pricey, but good value. As it was, you just had to suspend your disbelief and concentrate on enjoying yourself, perhaps recalling that our European colleagues are now able to enjoy relatively inexpensive food when they come to the UK !
