Vintry is a cozy Wine & Whiskey bar in the Financial District, boasting an impressive selection of wines and artisan-crafted cocktails paired with shareable plates.
"Whiskey Den in Financial District Vintry is a small, cozy bar and restaurant in lower Manhattan. It provides a welcome counterpoint to the larger gathering spaces in the Wall Street area - it has the vibe of a discreet speak-easy. Vintry specializes in artisan producers of whisky and wine - they have carefully selected an interesting group of handcrafted libations. There are 80 wines from France, Italy, Spain , and the U.S. available in a "tasting" size, glass or bottle, plus hundreds of other wines by the bottle. There are also 100 whiskeys. Vintry's specialties are cocktails from the house mixologist featuring homemade bitters and syrups. I don't consider myself a whiskey drinker, but I absolutely loved the Gingerade, a shaken cocktail made with 13 Jameson black barrel Irish whiskey, fresh ginger extract, fresh squeezed lemon juice, fresh lime, Peychaud's bitter, cane solution and ginger ale. It was ice cold, crisp, slightly sweet with a subtle twist of ginger and lime. DELICIOUS. This warm, dark, welcoming bar is easily the type of place where you can pass a good amount of time before realizing it. Vintry also has nicely prepared food - along the lines of veal meatballs and lamb ragu - to accompany its wine and whiskey list."
"The emphasis at this wine bar is on Burgundy, as evidenced by the dozens of excellent options from the region behind the bar. As the name suggests, they also offer carefully-crafted cocktails that generally revolve around whiskey. While it’s best as a post-work or pre-dinner pit-stop, they serve a limited menu of share plates."

"Bathtub Gin is hosting a pop-up called Bathtub Whiskey in the Financial District. The pop-up will serve bacon and whiskey flights, along with several cocktails, from Vintry Wine and Whiskey." - Luke Fortney
I really enjoyed my experience here. We were well received as soon as we walked into the restaurant. The two gentlemen were very attentive too our needs. It was a Monday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy. They had a nice selection of wines, they even let us sample two different wines before purchasing a bottle. I had the truffle mushroom pasta which was delicious along with grilled shrimp on the side. The shrimp was a bit to cooked so I probably wouldn’t order it again because the truffle mushroom was good alone. My husband had the boeuf bourguignon, puréed potatoes with baby carrots. My over all experience was great and I will definitely be back. There open on the weekends and also offer a brunch. I would say it’s casual dressy. The restrooms are tiny and the sink and mirror are outside of the bathrooms.

We stopped in here for a quick drink. We found an expertly-prepared cocktail that was a real treat! Huge selection of whiskeys and other liquors. Our fine bartender suggested "A Wicked Fight" which was fantastic. There is nothing quite like a sophisticated drink made by someone who knows exactly what they're doing. The complex flavors were easy to taste (especially the BBQ bitters!).
The bar was very clean and beautifully appointed with crafted wood and leather. The fascinating array of ingredients and liquors was neatly arranged and very clean. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in the financial district!

This place fares well below what it's trying to be: a fancy and cozy hideaway for sampling high-end wine. Their wine selection is good without being memorable: the choices are relatively straightforward. There I a considerable lack in character on the part of the sommelier. But it gets worse: between the mediocre country rock music, the faux stone washbasin, and the sexist ad in the men's restroom, it comes at no surprise that the typical clientele consists of finance Bros and boring boomers. I haven't tried the whisky.
TLDR go there if, and only if, you're a male whisky fan on your own in FiDi. Otherwise, don't bother.

The Vintry is slightly more expensive than most other places on Stone Street but also a little bit more upscale. Cozy in the winter and fun in the summer with the outdoor seating

Unfortunate because the food was good.. previous review : "The food menu has been upgraded recently. The tapas style is a great addition to Stone Street. Definitely check out the cheese plate, and the Tortilla Espanol."
