On the Grid : Violet

"A fashion boutique on the newly revitalized West 6th Ave, which features one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate colour, architecture and attention to materiality – the perfect invitation to express your individual style. The racks and beautiful table feature a touch of vintage patterning, clean lines and playful details to create an aesthetic that is at once strong, feminine and modern. A perfectly curated collection of timeless on-trend wares and adornments from the likes of Rachel Comey, Suno, Tucker, Whit, Rag & Bone, Cotelac, Des Petits Hauts and Lizzie Fortunato. An escape for beautiful things; including friendly chats, bright light and the scent of roses." - Arithmetic Creative

Best Delivery Restaurants in San Francisco | Eater SF

"When you can’t make it out, Violet’s is more than willing to meet you at your door, serving its much-talked-about burger, a comforting grilled pork chop, plus a Chino-Latino salad for some greens. The now worker-owned restaurant is on a number of delivery apps (linked out on Violet’s website), and if you’re feeling like a nonalcoholic drink, they’ve up for delivery as well, along with the restaurant’s Big Ass Chocolate Chip Cookie." - Dianne de Guzman

The Casual Date Night Dinner & Drinks Guide - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"A few blocks from Pearl is Violet’s, a restaurant with very good cocktails and a bar that stays open until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. And while you may not be here for a full on meal, consider stopping by for dessert, especially for their perfectly sweet and tart key lime pie." - taylor abrams, lani conway

Spring 2025: Check Out These 7 Dining Deals During San Francisco Restaurant Week | Eater SF

"This Clement Street mainstay was recently worker-reopened with help from the team behind Cantina Los Mayas; the $45 pre-fixe features the fan-favorite burger and a three-piece fried chicken, while the $75 menu includes options like a coffee-marinated salmon and a grilled pork chop topped with pineapple pico de gallo." - Paolo Bicchieri

Violet’s - Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"For a lowkey date night or a quick drink in the Richmond, Violet’s is a reliable choice. The restaurant and bar has plenty of seating for families and fleece-clad couples taking a load off on a Wednesday. Plus, you can usually snag a table without a reservation or a last-minute seat at the bar. photo credit: Grace Sager As for the food, it's fine. Long-time employees took ownership of the restaurant and reopened in September 2024 with a revamped menu. They added some mostly Peruvian dishes (or what they’re calling “Californian-Latino”) alongside Violet’s original classics like the burger and "Big Ass Chocolate Chip Cookie". Those previous standbys still get the job done, but your attention should belong to the newer, more flavorful adds like buttery clams and chimichurri fries. Or, instead of getting a full meal here, use this spot for an uncrowded Happy Hour with excellent cocktails and a plate of deviled eggs at the bar. Food Rundown Violet’s Burger 2.0 Fans of the bacon, chipotle aioli, and pickles from the Violet’s Burger of yesteryear will be happy to see them again. This burger isn’t going to change your life, but we’d order it again on a need-beef-now kind of night. Sofrito With Clams The clams really soak in the buttery white wine sauce, and you should use the side of grilled bread to sop up the rest. When you’re in the mood for something briny, this is a good option. Chimichurri Fries Excellent straight-cut fries that are pretty light on the chimichurri. We’d be happy coming here and ordering these and a cocktail. Lechon Pulled Pork Sando The meat itself is a little dry, but does the trick if you’re looking for a serviceable sandwich and nothing else." - Julia Chen
