Google
We had the 20" New Yorker Pizza . And the Italian Beef Sandwich. Both were amazing and the best I have ever had. The staff was very very good and helpful. David came and talked to us. Made it very personable. Would very highly recommend.

Google
We had heard great things about Virtuoso Pizza and stopped in for a quick lunch. It did not disappoint ! We had a slice that was fantastic. Fantastic crust with a nice chew and topped with crispy pepperoni cups. It is my wife's new favorite pizza! High praise because pizza is her favorite food group. The staff was incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with the owner. We'll be back on our next trip to Omaha and enjoy a whole pie.

Destiny Thompson

Google
5 stars all around! Everyone was so nice, pizza and cannolis were absolutely fantastic. Best place in Nebraska!

Isabelle Matthys

Google
Great experience and wonderful food! We tried a slice of 3 different pizzas and none of them disappointed. The cannolis are delicious!

Tracy McCarthy

Google
The pizza is excellent. It was one of the best I've had in this city. My favorite was the peperoni and specialty pizza. The cheese pizza was good but not the best that I've had. If you go during peak dinner hours, expect there to be limited seating. They do have bar tables to use and stand to eat. It's not a sit-down restaurant, its a order at the counter type place. Which helps with the trafficnduring busy hours. The staff is extremely nice and works hard to keep the wait time done. Everyone is extremely nice.

Google
As for the pizza, it was larger than expected. 2 or 3 slices was more than enough. The taste was excellent and reminded me of a good slice in NYC. I would definitely put this in my top 2 pizza places in Omaha. We ordered a large pizza for carryout. They said it would be ready at 7:20, but it was closer to 7:35 before we got it. With that said, they were churning out the pizzas, so they were working hard. It was very hot in the restaurant, which was decorated in itaian colors.

Will Howery

Google
One of my favorite pizza spots. Dave, Brenda and the whole crew are GREAT. The pizza slices are big, crispy, and packed with flavor. I leave happy and satisfied every time! Did I mention their music is awesome?

Brandon Fleck

Google
So, if you ever had real NY style pizza, you know that finding a good place os harder then it seems cause they all taste the same and nothing like real NY style. We saw this pizza joint while in Benson and had to try it, needless to say, ots the real deal. Then crust, cooked perfect on the bottom, a little floppy cause of the size of the slices, but plenty of crunch. Toppings were top notch, the wagyu hamburger pizza is by far top 2 best slices I've ever had. Really good pizza bottom line.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Grabbed a quick lunch with some friends. Service was good and the workers are super friendly. It's a smaller space so there are just a few booths and tables inside. I got a slice of the pepperoni with the side salad. The side salad wasn't my favorite because of the sweet taste to it. My friend liked it though. The pizza was VERY good. Slices are big but thin crust so ends up being the perfect size in my opinion. Will be back to try more!

Yelp
Cool, family owned pizza place. Counter service was friendly and helpful. Small but nicely organized dining room. Pizza was amazing - the crust is flavorful and the perfect mix of crunchy exterior while maintaining a chewy interior. Italian sausage and roasted garlic were both delicious-very flavorful.

Yelp
Another wonderful pizza! Continues to be , in my mind , one of the best pizzas in Omaha for New York style pizza lovers. Great crust, great sauce, and add some of their homemade sausage and you've got the makings of winner. Greatness takes time so plan on waiting at least 30 minutes for pizza or call ahead. Home made cannolis, etc. and we were offered a special treat today to taste their New England clam chowder - Ended up taking some home - yum!! Always a great stop for a super casual meal with many special to go options

Yelp
Came here with my husband while we were in town based on a recommendation. The pizza was fantastic, and the slices were huge! I got a cheese slice along with a small house salad, and my husband got 2 slices of the pepperoni. The pizza was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients tasted so fresh. The consistency was not too soft, but not too crunchy. Just the way I like it! The salad has a house made balsamic dressing made in house that was delicious. The restaurant itself was very clean and cool. They had a Ninja Turtles machine I wish I had the cash to play ! Very great service as well. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Omaha.

Yelp
Virtuoso Pizzeria, we walked over with this great weather. We had the Bianca, Midwest best, and a pepperoni slice. We also got the Mac n cheese. The Bianca had great flavor but probably was the last slice and been sitting for a bit just was a lot crispier than the other two slices. Still very good. Pepperoni was fresh out the crust is so light and airy. Midwest best also very good. The Mac n cheese was really good, has some spice to it. Too much for my wife. She didn't realize it was spicy when ordered but ended up with me enjoying most of it. The hours aren't the most convenient but we finally made it for a time it was open. Definitely will be back and you should too support some local za. Prices are very reasonable for the size and quality of the product
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Authentic thin crust pizza with the right balance of sauce and cheese. Coming from New York, pizza must be foldable to eat and this was just that! This pic does not do the slice justice cause it was big!
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
This is a legit good pizza place for dinner. Crust has great chew. Flavors are there. The Italian sausage is really good. It's a tad pricey for a whole pie but worth it. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Virtuoso Pizzeria is a little gem right in our Benson neighborhood. The owner, David Losole, is a certified Pizzaiolo, from the famed Lo Sole Mio restaurant family in Omaha - and the generations of love put Into the food definitely shows. Virtuoso opened a few years back, and we ventured there as soon as they were open (and have been back many times). You can't go wrong with anything you order! The ambiance and service is also a 10/10. Classic pizza shop vibes with a front counter display showing the pizzas on order that day. We usually order pizza (obviously), but my husband also likes to get the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. It's toasty buns, filled with a ton of Italian beef and giardiniera (pickled peppers). You can get it dipped in au jus or with the au jus on the side - we always get it dipped! The pizza slices are never too greasy and soggy, like some places can be, and the slices are GIGANTIC - almost a fourth of a whole pie. You can eat the slices flat, but it's a little messy that way, so I fold mine in half which makes it a little more manageable. Folding pizza slices in half usually makes the dry crust the first thing you taste, but that is fine here because Virtuoso's crust is actually toasted and tasty! Pizza-wise, we usually get the pepperoni, cheese, or meatball. The pepperoni has a little kick to it, which I enjoy. The cheese is just super cheesy and divine. And the meatball is delish and savory, with almost an airy/flowery flavor that I think comes from the Italian spices. SO GOOD! After your pizza or sandwich, they also have some delectable cannolis - I recommend the Chocolate Nutella! They also have a little walk up window if you want to come to the window and just order a quick slice while walking around the Benson neighborhood. If you are in Benson or passing by, I definitely recommend a stop here if you're craving a good pizza or sandwich!

Yelp
This New York style pizza hits the spot. Giant slices that are light on the cheese but heavy on flavor. They have a few pizzas you can buy by the slice otherwise everything else is in full pies only. They also have a few pastas and a rotating soup. They sell bottles beverages and have a water station. The cheesy bread gives elevated school lunch vibes (in the best way). The bread was similar to a hotdog bun. SO much cheese that got crispy on the edges. Would definitely reco getting a side of Marinara. The Cannoli is 2 little pieces which is perfect for sharing and a great small size after all that pizza. Check out the walk up window for a grab and go slice! They make their Italian sausage in house so give that a try. Parking is a nightmare in Benson so go early. There was a sign that they had parking in the back but I did not check that out.

Yelp
I joined my friend and his family for dinner here last month and it was pretty dang good. You walk in and all of the employees seemed really happy to be there and were very welcoming; which made a huge difference on our experience. I got the Jimbo Italian Hot Beef sandwich and it was kind of small, but pretty good. I also got a cup of clam chowder which was good as well, but IMO not worth the $9 for the little cup of soup. My friend and his family split a pizza and the pizza was pretty good as well. We all got a couple orders of their cannoli's and they were just okay. You get two really small cannoli's for $8. When in Rome, but those little guys weren't worth $4 a piece to me. I've heard about this place for a while and the food was really good. I just wish the prices reflected the quantity just a tad bit more. With that said, I would come back and try something else.

Mercedes F.

Yelp
I cannoli say, this place is AMAZING! I walked in after seeing the delicious pistachio cannoli's online, only to find out that they were sold out. David himself overheard and immediately went in the back to whip up a fresh batch from scratch! What a guy! I love when you can see the love and pride the owner has for their business. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Great vibe, super nice people, huge pizzas and quality ingredients. Not my regular preference for pizza, but definitely worth putting in the rotation.

Meredith L.

Yelp
Best pizza in Omaha!! Everyone I bring here loves it. Service is so nice, we've even become regulars and I love the older time feel of the place! Always a happy experience
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing NY style pizza. This place is amazing! Hands down best pizza in Omaha. Crust was cooked perfect, plenty of crunch.

Juan L.

Yelp
The Food The Atmosphere Everything is flawless and the servers its like all they know is fine dining and breathing

Aaron S.

Yelp
If you are driving here, call first. They close when they run out. Don' t waste an hour like I did.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know how to appropriately express my feelings for this place. Whatever you think about pizza, you don't know until you've tried it here. With slices the size of a small child, baked to perfection, it's hard to find an equal. The homemade vodka sauce on a slice with pepperoni cups and fresh mozz is heavenly. The salad is layered with fresh thick shaved parm, sweet red pepper, and a balsamic vinaigrette. They have a small variety of drinks, but a nice dry red is perfect with the pizza and salad combo. The staff is all friendly and helpful, you'll have a fantastic pizzeria experience here!
google avatar

Jamie R.

Yelp
The pizza is above average. It didn't knock me on my butt like I expected after hearing about it for years. The slice in my photo costs $7 which seems steep, personally. Just not a fan of warmed up slices I guess, maybe I need to try a whole, fresh one.

Dennis M.

Yelp
Absolutely one of our favorite places on earth. Why? David and Brenda. The crust! The patio. The vibe. The pepperoni. The Chicago Beef Sandwich. The cannolis. The cracker crust. The hot honey. Tiramisu! Go to Virtuoso. NOW!
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
I recently tried a plain slice and I think an italian beef slice. I would love to try it again but either get a full pie or dine in when they reopen dinein. Since I got a slice and took it home, I feel like with the delay to try it and the packaging (paper plate + bag), led to some condensation that made the crust softer than I think it nornally would be

Mike P.

Yelp
Killer NY style pizza. Drop in for a slice. They are huge and delicious. One slice and a salad is plenty and I eat like a basking shark. Nice folks and a pleasant low key setting. Service is excellent and prices are reasonable. Omaha has a lot of places that will put a terrific slice in front of you. Virtuoso ranks up there with the best in town. Give them a try. You will be glad you did.
google avatar

Richard N.

Yelp
If you find yourself in Benson, consider Virtuoso for your next meal. Whether looking for a sit-down meal or just grabbing a quick slice, Virtuoso has you covered. Fantastic pizzeria that offers classic pies and some that are slightly more adventurous, there are options for just about every taste. Pizza is a classic NY style, and the slices are cut from a 20-inch pie so one or two will usually suffice. Virtuoso also has a delicious Italian Beef sandwich - I prefer mine dipped, and a Spicy Meatball sandwich that is a wonderful punch in the mouth. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Jack P.

Yelp
Wow. The service and the speed were second to none. And let's not forget about the pizza. This pizza, without hyperbole, was the greatest I have ever had. If you have ever used the phase "a slice of heaven" this is the living breathing product of that. I hope that anyone reading this can experience the feeling I felt when I had this pizza, at least once in their life. Oh Virtuoso, how I love you.
google avatar

Doug D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. For transparency sake I need to admit that my review is only relevant to olive lovers. OLIVE OIL Chicago Cracker Thin Style... Kalamata Olives, Green Queen Stuffed Olives, Black Olives, Minced Garlic & Fresh Ricotta Cheese The Olive Oil pizza is hands down the best pizza I have ever had, ever. Did I say ever? Ever!! Ridiculously good. The staff is always energetic and friendly and seemingly passionate about what they do. I have vowed to try one of the other pizzas soon but keep reverting to the Olive Oil.
google avatar

Leah R.

Yelp
Really great pizza! Friendly service. We tried a slice each of pepperoni, meatball and bella mia. They were all so good! They offered to cut our slices in half so we could share which was nice. My favorite of the three was the pepperoni. I really liked the crust - it's fluffy and slightly chewy, and it held up well. There is a decent sized indoor searing area with a few booths and several tables. It was very clean and welcoming. They also have a walk up window which is convenient for grabbing a quick slice.
google avatar

Rosario C.

Yelp
The best pizza in the Midwest! Perfect crisp and tand on the sauce, quality ingredients and great family!
google avatar

Jose C.

Yelp
If you could give this place a 0 stars I would. Over-priced greasy slices. Terrible environment. Dirty bathrooms, dark, dingy dining room, loud music, lazy service. You have to scan the code to get a menu, and then you have to go up to order food. Staff wasn't friend. Owner didn't seem to care if you were there or not. Hit up other places in the area. Copps hands down puts this place to shame.
google avatar

Jon K.

Yelp
Dispite the order window mishaps, which I think is being underutilized especially late night on the weekends. The pizza is some of the best in Omaha, not many places where you can order just a slice of pizza. I know Omaha tries to do that Pizza bracket every year to vote for the best pizza...but this place is much better than Big Fred's or Mama's pizza. The only close competition to Virtuoso is Frank's or Mangia.
google avatar

Margaret S.

Yelp
Hot damn. Virtuoso Pizzeria by David Losole is legit fire. The artisan slices David hand crafts are unique & so full of flavor, stone baked & the slight char to finish is what makes it over the top !!!! The spicy giardiniera is out of this world. David told us tonight it's a 14 day process for each batch. The ingredients he uses are fresh & top of the line. There are usually 3 rotating daily special slices in addition to the regular menu offerings. Today I had the Paisan which was Chorizo sausage, pepperoni, minced garlic, peperoncini peppers, ricotta cheese. It was perfection Get to Benson & get a slice. Don't forget a cannoli
google avatar

Carolyn H.

Yelp
This pizza is phenomenal. Phenomenal taste, phenomenal size, and phenomenal price. Our large pizza came to about $55.00 last night. I nearly fell over when the exuberant, personable woman behind the counter gave me the total. I glanced down to see if she had double-charged. But the damned things are out of this world. It's not my first time. I freak out over the cost each time I've gone, denounce the place for a few months. But inevitably I return... It's So. Damned. Good.
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
This was delicious pizza - definitely worth the drive down to Benson. The crust was amazing,! I had the veggie pizza and it was one of the best that I have had. Hubby says pepperoni pizza was excellent! Bought a pizza slice to go for lunch tomorrow.
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
SUCH good pizza. Only one star dinged for the price, but that didn't seem to stop anyone from lining up to the street. There are two standing tables outside, so you have to be a bit competitive to grab one. Pizza is excellent and I will be back!

Sidney P.

Yelp
The owner and the staff are all incredibly nice. The pizza is so so good. 10/10! Super convenient window to order a slice as well.
google avatar

Yelp
David and Brenda are absolute legends. I began eating here regularly on Wednesday nights because I was a couple doors down at Collective's Corner for Pokémon Nights. I would've never imagined how this place would change my life. Let's start with the ambiance. Absolutely amazing. The TMNT game, artwork, and honestly their logos and shirt designs are fire. I love the front window where you can order from, I guess it holds a special place in my heart because I remember ordering from it all the time while the renovations were happening. Next stop, the food. Literally the greatest pizza I've ever had in my life. My order is always the pepperoni with a little East Coast Love thrown on top. Ask them for it and say Donovan told you to do it. Now, even though, that is my regular order, I am easily enticed into ordering their weekly specials. Tons of great rotating pizzas. But why stop at the pizza? Their lasagna, with the chorizo and pepperoni will melt your face off. One word. Cannolis. You can't eat here without adding an order of them on the side. Every flavor is a great choice. My personal fav is the lemon curd, but that is a special, so if you see it on the menu, RUN, don't walk, and get in there to order them. Thank me later. Now finally, the last piece of the puzzle that brings this entire place together is the family that runs it. David and Brenda made me feel at home from the first night I ever ate here. They give this place a hometown feel, with all the family love you'd want at your favorite pizza shop. I can't thank them enough for being such great people, loving the community so well, and for all the great memories I'll always have from their restaurant. Ok, now quit crying from the sentimental-ness and get over there and order yourself a slice!!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
This is 5 stars for me. As someone who is from New England and NY, this was a breath of fresh air. Pizza was delicious, staff was extremely friendly and nice, and it's also a little Italian market. Highly recommend to anyone in Omaha. Also very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
I have tried 3 different pizza's and they are all phenomenal. The Fat Tony is amazing, the Jesus Pizza is incredible, and just a plain pepperoni pizza is awesome. Everything is fresh, fresh ingredients, it is like a blend of New York style pizza with fresh real ingredients. I live in Bellevue, and it is worth the drive to get my Virtuoso Pizza fix. I saw this advertised on Great eats with Serese Cole, and wow, it is like a party of flavor in your mouth. Wonderful dough, ....just wow. And great service to boot.

Graveyard D.

Yelp
Growing up in North New Jersey, I know a good pizza. I also know bad pizza. But this was REALLY bad pizza - WAY overpriced greasy slabs of reheated and handed to us through the window on a single cheap paper plate, that collapsed beneath the weight of tasteless cheese and canned sauce. Oh yeah - I suppose you are expected to bring your own napkins because our request was ignored three times before we were grudgingly given a single thin bev-nap each. If the price was even close to reasonable, I would've simply avoided this joint without mention - but this insane price for a subpar slice (burnt crust, soggy underside and all) enticed me tome to warn others THIS AIN'T NEW YORK STYLE PIE - no by the longest stretch of the imagination. This place would be closed in the first month of business unless they were running numbers out the back. Pee-Yew!
google avatar

Cadence D.

Yelp
This place is delicious! Hot cheesy pizza is perfect, though a bit pricey. I was out on a stroll through town doing some thrifting and im so glad i found this place for lunch! Not too busy, though had a little of a wait but super worth it. Def coming back if im ever in the area again
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
A big 5 stars. The Chicago Italian Beef is amazing. Piled high with tender flavorful shaved beef and loaded with hot gardinia. Crusty bread with Au Jus to dip! Delicious!!! The pizza slices are huge. NY style, a sauce on the sweet side with awesome crust. There was a line at the window when they opened at 12. Can't wait until this covid crap is over so I can come eat inside!

Darin N.

Yelp
We had the opportunity to get carry out from Virtuoso Pizza in Benson last night. A great experience all the way around. Service was top notch from taking the order to making the pizza. While I waited, no need to hurry something good, I could tell it was a place I'd like to dine-in as well. I saw the owner, when not making pizza, visiting with customers. As for the pizza, easily the best I've had in Omaha. The 20-inch pizza is huge, with 1 slice enough for an average meal. We will be going back again.
google avatar

Shayna F.

Yelp
Such amazing pizza. I love that they use whole garlic cloves and not chopped. The sauces are worth. Getting too. Plus the pouch drink.

Jesse B.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Nebraska, hands down. Great Pep, good sauce cheese. Only feedback would be add 15% more cheese, and the crust which is really good because the ovens good would be look at a sourdough recipe. 8.3, could be a 9+ if they dial in sauce and crust a little tighter. Great spot
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
I have been here a few times. However, I went this time with a review in mind. I know that, every time, their specials are truly awesome. I just got some slices with my son at the walk up window. He got the cheese slice. I got the special called Sweet N Spicy which was pepperoni, garlic, pineapple, and sliced Serrano peppers. I can't speak to the cheese as my son's rather descriptive "good" probably doesn't do it justice. The Sweet N Spicy was amazing. The slices are huge so I recommend folding like a taco. The crust is basically perfect so please eat it all!

Pamela W.

Yelp
Wow!! This pizza is incredible. From the super friendly customer service to fun atmosphere with awesome music, to the hearty pizza packed with ingredients and flavor...highly recommend this place. We ordered the New Yorker with pepperoni and sausage and added mushrooms. Delicious. They were unfortunately out of the thin crust but the new york style was really good too. Tried a few of their hot honey packets drizzled on the top, added the perfect amount of sweet and heat. We ordered a side of the garlic infused olive oil which my husband really enjoyed drizzled on top. Their pizza is definitely more higher priced than most, so just know that going in. But we were definitely not disappointed!! We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Kendra D.

Yelp
Hooray NY style slices you can fold! I've reviewed a number of pizza places around town, and I'm so glad to have a great new place in Benson. Probably my favorite part about this place is that you can order by the slice any of the pizzas that they have made at the counter. They quickly heat up the slices in their oven, and their you go, fresh pizza in minutes. Their slices are large, one is usually enough for me with a coke for a meal. My boyfriend is a little more content with two slices. I haven't yet ordered a full pizza pie from them yet, mostly because it's just so easy to just order a slice. Their biggest downfall is the walk-up window. Sounds like other people have enjoyed it, but it's never been open when I've swung by. I hope to finally catch it when it's open one day! I'd also love to see it open later so I can grab a quick slice as I'm hopping along the bars in Benson..... Overall, this is a great addition to Benson and a good addition to the pizza options in town.
google avatar

Douglas C.

Yelp
Talk about yummy, tummy happy. It is very difficult to save room for dessert, but the cannolis are to not be passed up
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
This was my first time here, recommended by my sons. I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. It reminds me of a wood oven but much better. Wood ovens make the dough very tough, this was perfect, just the right pull and just the burn in areas of the pie! The sauce was good, reminiscent to to my Nana's. The cannoli, people it's REAl! And yes I'm an expert, self proclaimed but I know what's good and what is correct! Perfectly filled using ricotta and the proper flavor. I had the pistachio and one was not enough! Worth a stop!

Yelp
My dog and I were wandering around Benson First Friday's looking for something for me to eat quickly that I wouldn't have to leave my dog tied up somewhere outside or in the heat. Virtuoso was a great option since they have a walk up window to order from. I believe the window hours start later in the evening but the kind lady inside opened the window and took my order after seeing Henri by my side. I wish I had gotten her name; she gave such exceptional service. She offered both me and the dog water, and also asked if I wanted to wait a few min for a fresh pie to come out of the oven or if I wanted the one already ready. A+ service from the lady at the window! The cheese slice itself was around $6, but about the width of 3 slices from Pizza Hut. I really enjoyed the flavor of the dough and the marinara sauce. The cheese was a little stringy but I also ate it right out of the oven. It was good pizza. Overall, for a Slice at the window at 7 pm on a Friday- five stars. I read some of the reviews about the window service being poor. In the daylight hours that I visited when most of the patrons were dining inside the restaurant, the window service was on point. (I could see how 11pm-1am the line could get long, and sloppy with the after bar crew, but for the daytime- like I said, amazing service.)
