Marty’s Deli, Viva Cubano, and Private Sector Provisions are new Ghost Kitchens to Know About | Eater Twin Cities

"Working out of Cathedral Hill’s The French Hen Cafe, Viva Cubano is a ghost kitchen run by AJ Louismet — who draws on 14 years as a bartender and server at The Muddy Pig — that serves a namesake Cuban sandwich along with other offerings like a walleye burger, a black bean torta, soups, and sides. Ordering is online-only through their website for pick-up or Viva Cubano’s own delivery, and the team has been working toward opening a brick-and-mortar since mid-February with help from local non-profits." - Lindsay Abraham

Wrecktangle Pizza’s Second Location Will Open Inside Malcolm Yards | Eater Twin Cities

"While the French Hen takes a pause on Selby Avenue, I discovered Viva Cubano is borrowing that kitchen and delivering sandwiches to the neighborhood Thursday through Saturday from 4 to 9pm; the restaurant, run by AJ and Jenny Louismet (AJ is a familiar face who used to serve and bartend at the now-shuttered Muddy Pig), is serving a carnitas cubano along with other sandwiches like a black bean torta and a croque monsieur." - Joy Summers

Best Cubano in the cities...if not the country. Roast beef is also the best I’ve ever had! Don’t neglect the vegetarian options (black bean torta, Brie and arugula sandwich) you won’t miss the meat!

Just yum! AJ is an incredible cook and his food makes my heart and tummy happy. So happy he's sharing his gift with St. Paul. Super easy online ordering and contactless pickup. Can't wait to test drive delivery too. Check these guys out, you won't regret it!!

The food and service is amazing! I spent a lot of time in Miami visiting family and one of the highlights was always eating Cuban food. No matter what I do I can’t replicate a traditional Cuban sandwich at home. So I am so happy I don’t have to go far to get one! And for non-meat eaters for Brie and arugula sandwich is amazing

We have been looking forward to these sammies for a long time and they were definitely worth the wait! Both the roast beef and Cubano were so amazing that it's hard to pick a favorite. The ham and cheese was great for the kid, but she's requested an upgrade to a more grown up sandwich for next time.

Best. Sandwiches. Ever. No, really. My husband & I ordered Viva Cubano’s Roast Beef and the classic Cubano Sandwich. The Cubano was everything you want in a Cuban sandwich. Pickles tasted homemade, the bread was chewy and toasted just right. The roast beef was absolutely incredible. We are putting it up there with one of the greatest foods we have ever eaten. Food was ready fast and ordering online was easy. Will be hard to get takeout from anywhere else at this point. Well done, Viva Cubano!!

Well yum. We got three sandwiches - the Cubano (of course), the black bean torta, and the roast beef. All were great! Somehow my 3.5 year old liked them too (it’s a miracle). I especially loved the bread on the cubano - perfect texture! Everything was well wrapped and stayed nice and warm. Get you some sandwich (they even have veg and vegan options)!

I’ve had the Cubano & Black Bean Torte this summer. Both were fantastic. Last night I bought the ham & cheese, roast beef, Brie sandwiches and the French onion soup and split everything with my daughter. Everything was so good. The soup was so delish.

Google
What an amazing find! Have eaten my way through multiple visits just to try as many offerings as I can! The Cubano? Super star! But its menu buddies are no slouches themselves, all fresh and so delicious. My favorite non cubano has been the Brie and Arugula, but i'm always excited to see something new on the menu! Pro tip, don't skip the sides! Their soups are spectacular, and the beans and rice perfectly seasoned and spiced!

Yelp
A new restaurant! My daughter loves Cuban sandwiches since visiting Florida recently. She asked that we try it out. I ordered online. It was easy to order! Easy to customize our sandwiches. We had to search for it because it is housed in The French Hen Cafe. I opened the door and a employee greeted me before I stepped in and was told they would bring my order to my car. My daughter really liked her Cubano sandwich, it was piping hot. My husband liked his roast beef sandwich, he would have liked more sauce. Nathan liked his BBQ pork sandwich, he said it was good but spicy. I had a brie and arugula sandwich, it is not their specialty and was fair. I thought it may be warm. It was toasted bread with slices of Brie, arugula and truffle oil. I would have liked it if it were more like a grilled cheese. My daughter also wished that they had plantains. Overall our family thought it was good.

Yelp
We loved the Cubano and Roast Beef sandwiches! Really rich and delicious. I also really enjoyed the crunch of the coleslaw. We'll definitely be back soon! Supporting small local businesses is my favorite Covid pastime.
