"Viva la Vegan, owned by a brother and sister team, lies just on the outskirts of Adair Park. The no frills restaurant serves quick—and delicious—“all-American” and Southern food with a vegan twist. Try the fried green tomato sandwich or the Philly, which replaces steak with jackfruit. The menu at Viva la Vegan categorizes its dishes by soy, non-soy, and raw items." - Beth McKibben

We stopped here on the way through Atlanta. Meatball sub, shrimp sandwich, chili cheese fries and chicken and waffles. Great vegan choices, everything we had was very good. We got there right before they closed and they were out of the cheese sticks, I really wanted to try those. Maybe next time we are in the area we can get them.

I got the Shrimp Po boy w/Dill fries and my husband got the Philly w/sweet potato fries. They were out of bread and were offered wraps which was ok. My Po boy was spicier than I would like but the Konjac root was amazing. I never had it before and I was shocked it tasted just like shrimp but meatier. The dill fries were just regular French fries with dill sprinkled on top The Philly wasn’t as spicy but it was so good. I’m definitely getting that next time. We waited til 1 when they opened and I was first in line. It took maybe 10 minutes for our food. But it was a line before I finished ordering my food and everyone received their food not too long after I received mine. Super fast, super good.

This place is awesome! Yes its in the hood and yes it can use a makeover but the food and service speaks volumes. I will definitely be back. Everyone eating the night I went was amazed and couldn't say enough about their food. I'm so glad I found this place it makes my healthy journey that much easier. I had the Philly combo fried cauliflower and side kale salad. My husband had the nori roll and that delish collard spring roll. We we were so full but now nasty full and we had a lot to take home.

Employees were very friendly and helpful, large portions of food. I got the Buffalo Cauliflower sub with dill fries and it was all delicious. The texture of the cauliflower is perfect. It's a small space so it did get hot when more people were in there but not too bad. Clean and bright restaurant. We will be back! :)

I give the food here Five big stars. There were so many options of food choices. I had the Shrimp poboy with chili cheese fries, my mother had fried green tomatoes and their sweet potato fries. My friend had the Bbq bacon cheeseburger. I tell ya vegan and the name of these dishes don't seem to go together. Just go and try it...you will be convinced that every dish in the world should be vegan. Don't be deterred by how the outside looks. Just go in and enjoy the food. Seating is a little limited but I asked if I could sit with another dining guest and I made a new acquaintance. All was love just like the food...made with love.

We had a questionable first experience there but management made up for it so won't complain. The food was delicious. My vegan Fiancée enjoyed her po boy sandwich. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious. I had the BBQ jack. As a non vegan I enjoyed it but thought it would have tasted even better with different kind of bread. We would go back to this place. It's small and cozy. Service is friendly. He prepared to wait 10-20 mins or more depending on how busy they are. Call ahead if you can.

Great Food in Hole in the Wall Place I've always known, that good food is not always found in fancy places. This place certainly fits the bill. The location is sketchy but don't let the outside ( or inside) deter you. Although I'm not a vegan, I'd read highly rated reviews and stopped by for dinner on 7/9/17 about 4:30. They prepared my food and brought it out to in containers already bagged up since they were closing at 5 pm. I ordered the shrimp po boy, chicken and waffles, collard green spring roles, buffalo cauliflower wings and cheesecake. (They forgot to give me the cheesecake which I didn't discover until after I'd left. 😐 But I had so much food, the portions were generous! Food: Collard green spring role: They are large! A meal by themselves, we ordered 2. The greens had a spicy smokey flavor and were the best I've tasted! I highly recommend these Shrimp poboy: This was amazingly delicious. The texture, reminded me a little like crab meat, and the sauce was delicious. I couldn't finish it Chik and waffles: delicious lightly battered. I will definitely go back once we are again in Atlanta.

Came to Atlanta for the weekend and made this place the last stop before heading back home to Nashville. Being new to the plant-based diet lifestyle, it is more difficult to find places that have vegetarian and vegan options. This place made it 110% simple! Lovely little hole-in-the-wall feel, but the owner/head chef knows her stuff. EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan and is made to order. I couldn't believe it! I ordered the "chicken" gyro with dill fries (pictured) and my girlfriend ordered the chili dog with cheesy dill fries. We split a slice of Oreo cheesecake (couldn't snap a pic before taking a couple bites) which I could've easily eaten about 5 more slices. Everything was so fresh, flavorful and healthy. I can't wait to come back to this place. Favorite in ATL by far.
