We recently chose Vive to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better spot! From the moment you walk in, the aesthetic is absolutely gorgeous and so cool—it truly elevates the entire dining experience. As an extra fun touch, we ordered their Halloween themed drinks, which were creative and delicious! Our Anniversary Feast Calamari Appetizer: A fantastic start! The addition of the sweet, spicy bite from the peppers really made the dish shine. Branzino with Caesar Broccolini (Mine): The fish was light, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The Caesar broccolini was a unique and delicious side that complemented the branzino well. Truffle Norcini (Husband's): My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta! It was rich, flavorful, and definitely satisfied his truffle craving. Biscoff Cheesecake: Our server recommended this, and we're so glad we listened! It was absolutely delish—a perfect sweet and comforting ending to our meal. Vive is the ideal spot in West Bloomfield for a special occasion or just a chic night out. We can't wait to go again soon!

Came in as a walk in on a Saturday and they were very accommodating! Very friendly front desk staff. Seated within 10 minutes. Started off the either calamari which was amazing. My husband had the lemon chicken and I had the wagyu burger and both were very delicious!! The cocktails here were great. The service was among the waiter was constantly checking on us. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Google
A truly amazing place - service, vibes, food and drinks are ALL top tier. They have the BEST burgers and spicy margs! Also love their house-made pastas, pastries and sourdough! I've also attended a few events in their private dining room and it's such a beautiful space!

Google
I loved it! The bread service was great, the drinks were delicious. I love the atmosphere and decor, and the service (thanks, April!) was top notch! Both the short rib and sea bass were very tasty.

Google
Ambiance was absolutely lovely, however, the food was a great disappointment. The arancini was not very flavorful but the chicken parm in vodka sauce was even worse. My fiancé had the wagyu burger which did not live up to its expectations either. The cocktails were very good and the cocktail art was a fun touch. Would recommend if you want a nice spot for drinks but wouldn’t eat dinner here again.

Google
Maybe this isn’t a fair review as it was takeout (5min drive home), hence the 3 star. Steak tartare was great. Sous vide carrots were bright but lacked salt. Steak frites had tough steak and sad fries. Thought it was a cheap NY strip instead of the listed ribeye because it was so tough. The lobster burrata pasta was watery and bland. Both lobster and pasta were over cooked, maybe due to takeout, but it seems like it’s an unpopular dish with other reviews too. Definitely not worth the premium prices, even if they sprinkle caviar all over the menu.

Attending a friend’s birthday celebration, I encountered several concerning issues from the outset. Initially, the reservation for 7:30 p.m. was not honored, with seating not provided until 8:00 p.m. Despite this setback, we anticipated a satisfactory experience. However, the waitress, Lydia, initially provided competent service but ultimately failed to meet our expectations. While she was courteous, she neglected to inform our party members of an additional water charge. Although this was not a significant matter, it was a matter of informed consent. Our food arrived slowly, as the table adjacent to ours had vacated. Consequently, the subsequent party that took their seats had already consumed their meals before ours. My food, which was designated as the special of the night, arrived last, and it was not the chicken breast ordered. Instead, it was a chicken quarter that was raw, undercooked ,and pink in color. When I confronted Lydia about the situation, she assured me that she would involve the manager and expressed understanding. However, her colleagues informed me that she had presented my concerns to management in a manner that contradicted my recollection. She reported that I had expressed anger and fury, which was not my true demeanor. I was merely seeking clarification and resolution to the issue. Regrettably, this misunderstanding escalated the situation, leading to further complications. Once again, I was informed that I would be speaking with a manager. A man wearing a beanie and an outdoor jacket that appeared unclean approached me. Apparently, this was the “Chef.” He failed to apologize and instead provided excuses for the pink color of the chicken. He continued to offer me more food, despite our extended wait time. Before leaving the table, he audaciously declared himself the “Chef of the Year.” His dismissal and rudeness were extremely unprofessional. When another waiter approached, I showed them the picture of the chicken. They informed me that this was not what the chef had seen. They proceeded to take my phone to show them in the back, but no management came to speak. I believe the next person I spoke to was the bar manager. He was very sweet, understanding, and compassionate about the situation. After this, I asked for the box of bundt cakes that was brought for the birthday. She took them out of the box and placed them on a platter. Again, this was not what I had asked for. After waiting another 20 minutes for the bills, the water that was charged to our bills was brought out. She initially stated that it would be split evenly between us all, as the water is $8 per bottle. However, as a side note, we did not request three bottles. She continued to fill our cups without asking if we even wanted more. The issue with the bills arose when they were not divided evenly among everyone. When she was questioned, she said, “Oh, it’s the computers doing.” Again, 24 divided by 6 should result in a complete even number. Overall, the “Chef” was rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. I have had better service at a fast-food restaurant. Lydia needs to be re-trained. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Google
What a great experience at Vive with my fiancée! We celebrated our anniversary here and it did not disappoint. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. They even gave us special menus where it said “happy anniversary “ on them which was an unexpected touch. We really enjoyed the special holiday cocktail menu. The calamari was also our favourite appetizer, one of the more unique ways we’ve seen calamari be prepared. The rest of our food was amazing as well. Overall would highly recommend.

Yelp
This place exceeded expectations. The Sinatra Night show was fantastic and really brought the whole evening together, elegant, fun, and nostalgic. On top of that, the food was excellent and clearly made with care. A perfect spot for a special night out.

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Vive in Bloomfield and had a lovely experience. Since it recently opened when we went, it wasn't very busy, but the interior was beautiful and very spacious. Service was attentive and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the starters, the caviar fries, and the spicy pasta--everything was flavorful and well done. Such a great spot for a relaxed celebration. Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
10-10-2025 Came here after an emotional visit with my mom and the glass of wine and ambiance were great! Our server Alex was friendly and low key but my lamb ragu came out room temperature and it was a disappointment. The app, baked feta was really good tho.

Yelp
Went for happy hour which had great specials. The service was attentive and pleasant. Food was just ok. I had the oysters and they were so small and lacked flavor. (I got them chargrilled and paid extra for it) I will go back and try more dishes but not immediately impressed with food but the service and atmosphere will bring me back to keep trying.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my time visiting vive. Things I loved: One- free parking and the staff is very friendly. I did not see a valet option, just fyi. The decor on the outside and interior of the restaurant is very classy and beautiful. There was some music playing in the background and it is a little dim, inside. The ambiance is elegant with some fake trees inside and the tables are spread apart a bit which I liked. We got the calamari to start, Delicious sauce but no red sauce with it, it was more of a lemony garlic sauce which was tasty. I highly recommend the sourdough bread with the maple dip and the tomato basil dip, it was excellent. They had a very cool spooky cocktails menu which was full of creative and tasty sounding options, I got the lychee witchy drink which was great. I also got the lychee sparkling drink off the regular menu after and while the drinks were good I don't think there was much alcohol in them? So beware of that. I got a Caesar salad which was a great size portion wise, I split it with two of my friends as an appetizer. It wasn't the tastiest salad I've had but good portion for the price. For the main entree I got the spicy vodka chicken parmigiana. It came with two pieces of chicken (good portion) which were tasty but for some reason the pasta was colder whereas the chicken was hot? Kinda odd. I also wish the portion of pasta was bigger as it was tasty and wish it could be ordered as a main entree with chicken added even. So for the entree the chicken was great, but the pasta should've been warmer and also just wasn't as spicy and creamy as I would've wanted. For dessert we got the carrot cake which was delicious. All in all I would, I come back here as the menu is creative and diverse/ has unique flavors and the food is definitely delicious and the ambiance is gorgeous.

Yelp
We went here on a Friday night with a reservation and we're seated right away. Service was great. The cocktails were really good and had a nice presentation. We really enjoyed the calamari and it was a great portion size. When our entrées came, they were fresh and flavorful. Overall, it was a great experience and we would go back.

Yelp
We surprised my sister for her bday and decided to try Vive. I haven't been here since it was L George's and the remodel is beautiful. They have a private room that seats 24. The room was very pretty as well. First.... Service.... Phenomenal! They were very attentive, quick, and accommodating. Well done to both of our servers. I wish I got your names to call you both out. Second... drinks....excellent! I had the strawberry spritz with vodka. Finally... food... perfection! Every one of us loved our food and drinks! Well done to the owners, designers, and of course the amazing staff!!

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant! They have a festive drink menu for the holidays and the drinks were all good! Food and service was great too!

Yelp
I'm from Vegas and, man, am I sad that I don't live here! This place is amazing! From the drinks to the food to the service. Top notch! Bartenders Jeff and Alex made my night! Thank you for the conversations and amazing drinks fellas! Lydia (food server) is the cutest thing, helped me with so much and also made my night! I highly recommend the Lavender Sol drink. Get the bread, just trust me. For dinner, order the Village Salad and the Sea Bass. Both so good. For dessert, Jeff recommended the Biscotti Cheesecake and it was also good. Nothing but good stuff. Managers is you read this, please reward your staff at they did excellent!

Yelp
To celebrate my birthday and a colleague's birthday, we decided to dine at Vive Restaurant. It ended up being the worst service we've ever experienced. First, they only allow happy hour at the bar -- fine. But when one of our Senior Vice Presidents arrived and went to the bar to order a drink, she was completely ignored. She literally had to follow the bar manager just to get any attention, and even then the service was terrible. At that point, we got up and left. We went to J. Alexander's instead, where the service was excellent, as always. I strongly recommend not patronizing Vive Restaurant.
google avatar

Joy A.

Yelp
There was techno music playing which made it hard to have a conversation. I got the Caesar salad as an appetizer and it was very good. Main dish was steak frites with French fries. The sauce for the steak was served on the side & tasted funny but the steak didn't need it bc it was nicely seasoned. I felt like the meal was overpriced. Service was fine. Would rate at 3.5 stars.

Yelp
The drinks were extremely watered down. I ordered My Sweet Espresso and it lacked flavor and substance. For it to have Toyota, Courvoisier and luxardo espresso + espresso simple, there was little flavor . My daughter had the Figgy Bourbon and it came with a cup of ice like it was an Italian icy! She had to ask them strain that immediately and add a solid cube. Another fail with no flavor, super watery. The vibe in the restaurant is cool, ambiance great, but those drinks...lacking. Maybe get new bartender. I've been here twice before and the food was delish and drinks were good...guess we got a bad unseasoned bartender...

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience! The waiter was polite, the food offered a great variety, and everything was fresh--the salad was crisp, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The selection of appetizers really stood out for us!

James P.

Yelp
Love this place...food is incredible, great atmosphere and I really like the live music every Monday! I come here every time I'm in Michigan on biz

Yelp
I've been a couple of times since they opened and had great service each time. Lovely ambiance. Food was good. My favorite dishes were the King Salmon (risotto was really good), oysters are amazing (East Coast!) and their caviar fries were really good. Will definitely go back!

Edward S.

Yelp
Ambience was beautiful very relaxing tones with wood accents. We started with lamb bites and beef tartare. Both were beautifully presented and came out in a timely manner. We shared two pastas and a burger. All of which were quite tasty especially the ravioli. I found the entree menu a bit routine, with no creative unique or creative dishes. The shared Caesar salad was ample but the dressing had no flavor to be honest we had a discussion if was even dressed. Service was pleasant and efficient but basic service was ignored. I'm speaking of reaching over guest and ensuring flatware was replaced between courses. I saw I breadboard go out and was glad I didn't invest the 9.00 menu price. I'm not sure I would return but mostly due to the lack of menu creativity I can get decent steak and pasta at 50 other restaurants.

Yelp
My wife and I returned tonight with my mother-in-law who has been wanting to try this relatively new restaurant. My wife had called a few days ago because the menu on the website no longer had the short rib bolognese on the menu she enjoyed so much on our first visit. She was told that they change the menu periodically but that others had also let them know they were disappointed at its removal and that it would likely come back at some point. When our server came to the table to tell us about tonight's specials, the first special was.....short rib bolognese which put a big smile on my wife's face. Needless to say, that is what she ordered for her entree as did I. My MIL ordered the lemon chicken on the recommendation of our server telling her it has been one of their most popular dishes lately. My wife and I ordered a caesar to share (the salads are more than large enough to share) and my MIL ordered a Vive salad. We also ordered bread service. That was one of my "gripes" in my original review, that is, restaurants no longer serving bread with the meal or charging for it. Let me say this. I will never NOT order the bread service here when we go again. Outstanding loaf of sour dough bread right out of the oven. The salads were very good. Bolognese was as good as the first time..different pasta but all their pasta is made there and excellent. I also complained about empty water glasses in my original review. That has been fixed as they now provide a carafe of water on your table and our server stopped by frequently to fill our glasses and to bring a fresh carafe when it was low. It's nice to see a restaurant listen to feedback to make changes where needed. Oh, my MIL also ordered the biscotti cheesecake for dessert which we had to sample of course. One of the best cheesecakes we have had we all agreed...much better than Cheesecake Factory though a bit steep at $15. But, a worthwhile indulgence even with the price and the calories. I would say Vive has made a lot of progress since they opened up and will definitely return again. And again.

Yelp
Beautiful place, delicious food, the friendliest staff and yummy cocktails- definitely will be back!

Yelp
Dined here with a couple friends and it was a wonderful experience! All of the food was very good. Some highlights are the calamari and King Salmon. The oysters were extremely fresh, but extremely small. I actually prefer small oysters, but these were so small that it was difficult to tell if the shell was empty or not. The steak tartare is phenomenal, however I wish they served it in a traditional style where the tartare could shine, instead of on layered potatoes- which I personally feel takes away from the star; the tartare! If you go, I highly recommend ordering an actual cocktail instead of a mixed drink since from what I experienced the bartenders are talented!

Yelp
Went there yesterday for lunch with my group(10) for our 13th anniversary. Our waitress was very sweet and very helpful. Never got her name. Really liked the decor. Really nice improvement over the previous establishment. The was decent but I felt that it was overpriced for what we received. Several of us ordered the lobster roll which was palatable enough, but the portions were extremely small for $20. Two orders put together would have been substantial. The salads and other dishes looked ample and I understand they were good. If I return I will definitely not order the lobster roll.

Yelp
Wonderful food, fresh/delicious, amazing service, local, nice vibe, beautiful decor. Easy parking. We'll be back!

Yelp
I miss George's menu. It was a classic spot for the food, and the food is no more. I used to fly home anticipating a George's salad, or the one with candied walnuts and blackened salmon. The saganaki was a charming staple. If I want an $18 burger, I'll go to redcoat. If I want a $50 steak, I'll go to prime 29. Sorry!

Yelp
10 out of 10!! The food, ambiance, and service was fantastic. The Vive salad was delicious with the best dressing and fresh vegetables, the Branzino was fresh and deliciously prepared, and so was the cream corn. Save room for dessert - the hot and freshly baked cinnamon roll with warm icing your server pours over it!

Miya J.

Yelp
Food was really good! Came with a group and everything tasted great and came out hot. Verrryyyy pretty interior

Michele M.

Yelp
Nicely appointed space, polite and pleasant service, delicious food! We Were there for a relaxing lunch...I look forward to coming for dinner.

Yelp
Go on Monday before HH ends at 6 and listen to jazz singer Dana perform. Her performance is once again month

Tricia D.

Yelp
The ambiance was lovely, service was fantastic and the food delicious! Averie took great care of us. 10/10

Patricia A.

Yelp
A review of 1 is too generous. The experience was deployable. My colleagues and I attempted to celebrate birthdays. The evening started off well until a colleague was ignored after her simply request of asking for a lemon drop martini. The bartender gave her a look of disgust while walking away to decorate a Christmas tree. Please know that there were less than 10 guests, including my group of 6, on a very slow Tuesday evening on November 13, almost 45 days before Christmas. What's startling is that the rude bartender serves dual roles. She's also a manager. Now, I beg the question, why is the leader so far removed from customer servicing. I hate to think of how she's training the team members. Sadly, my party left without consuming food. We paid for the drinks and left in a hurry. I strongly will not recommend this establishment as a favorable dining place. The ambiance is inviting, but the staff is not!.

Ceren K.

Yelp
Food is excellent and consistent. We've had really great experiences with all the waitstaff and bartenders. The vibe is fun and laid back.

Tommy A.

Yelp
Outstanding service and dinner, food was fresh and delicious. Drinks are amazing at a great price. Lobster rolls are a hit! Went back to back nights for dinner and both nights were amazing. Will definitely be my date night spot

Cheryl B.

Yelp
The restaurant is a beautiful upgrade from the former George's. The menu and prices have both been upgraded quite a bit. The server for my solo lunch was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my carrot salad and fresh-made Arnold Palmer, but the amount of salad was skimpy for the price. Since the restaurant is close to my house and has a nice setting and vibe, I may try another meal there.

Chris R.

Yelp
It's so nice to have a new lunch spot with wonderful food and great service. They did a great job remodeling the space. The lunch menu includes multiple sandwich choices with fries for $15-$18. The portions are large and the quality and taste is wonderful!

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pleasant setting, helpful wait staff and some amazing food. Their crispy shrimp with Chinese eggplant keeps calling g to me. It's spectacular. Tasty drunken noodles ( though noodles are usually broken, not long). Definitely worth a visit.

Raquel K.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. Absolutely loved the ambiance and decor! Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. We ordered the Vive salad, it was simple with fresh ingredients. I had the short rib bolognese which was good. Although, it was not hot. My friend had the roasted chicken and said it had great flavor. We had coffee and a honey cinnamon latte for dessert. Overall, a great experience. We will be back!

S P.

Yelp
Laid back Sunday dinner. Dirty martini was excellent. Hamburger was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Loved the bacon jam. Splurged on dessert with the strawberries covered in Dubai chocolate. This restaurant is not George's. It's sophisticated, classy and a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was excellent. Wyatt was a fantastic server. We will be back again and again.

Lisbeth V.

Yelp
I hated this place this service was so slow, and my food was so cold and so hard and no seasoning. Never coming again don't recommend.

Wyatt A.

Yelp
Perfect place for an upscale, fine dining experience. The burger is amazing. Service was great.

Pavane H.

Yelp
Over price garbage won't be returning food was either cold or burnt the place is more for cocktails that's it

Lea M.

Yelp
The restaurant was beautiful the drinks were delicious and the service was about a 7 out of 10 some items that were special request were missed. However, this restaurant should be known for drinks ambience and appetizers only..appetizers in particular french fries, martini dip, sweet potato croquettes, braised lamb bites and bread service were great shareable for our party of eight. The entrees were extremely underwhelming they lacked seasoning and the homemade pasta were gummy and lacked flavor the desert:( the cinnamon bun with drizzled glaze to accommodate my lobster rigatoni that I was later charged full price at the end of the night was over cooked and served with a cold cup of coffee. I will not be returning.

Robert D.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Food, service, and ambiance were great! Can't wait to come back to eat here. My new go to spot for every occasion. Even for a chill night.

Lani W.

Yelp
The remodel is beautiful! However, the execution and service did not remotely come close to matching the aesthetics. The waiter did not know what the food consisted of and had to repeatedly "go ask" someone. The 6 raw oysters my husband ordered were barely there, poor quality, and nowhere near what they should have been, or would have been at any other high-end restaurant. My oysters Rockefeller were completely inedible; TINY BURNT SALT NUGGETS! NO CHEESE, NO SPINACH, AND NO OYSTERS. My uncle's onion soup had 0 cheese. His chicken entree was TOO salty, as was my aunt's burger. My dad's steak and whipped potatoes were barely warm, although he said the steak was flavorful. The clamari was good, which is the only reason I am giving 1 star. My salad contained cucumbers, despite expressly omitting them when ordering. The drink prices are obscene. The window blind behind us did not extend to the bottom, so we were "blinded" by the sun. The bathroom ran out of paper towels and was not particularly clean. Given the prices Vive charges, I expected 100%, particularly since the owners ARE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS! I suggest they WATCH THE BEAR on Hulu, hire a competent chef, and hire experienced back-of-house and front-of-the-house managers. We will never return, and I suspect nor will many others after their first curiosity-driven experience. Ilana Serafini, Bloomfield Hills.
