"Mexican cafe and bakery Vivir’s morning menu features chilaquiles verde, breakfast tacos, avocado tostadas, and more. To end breakfast on a sweet note, save room for chocolate mole cupcakes or a guava roll. Online ordering is available." - Stacy Brooks

Vivir - Review - Minneapolis - The Infatuation

"Vivir is a part-market stocked with goods by local and Mexican makers, and a part-counter-service cafe with a bright green-tiled bar. The oversized burrito stuffed with your choice of meat (our favorite is the chorizo) or scrambled eggs is one of the best all-day-breakfast deals in town, the duck carnitas tacos are the antithesis of a sad desk lunch, and the spicy hot chocolate with coconut milk, cayenne, cinnamon, and vanilla is the perfect thing to pair with it all. Don’t overlook the baked goods, like cinnamon rolls with guava paste, mole chocolate cupcakes, and masa cookies loaded with rainbow sprinkles." - Stacy Brooks

Northeast’s New Mexican Shop Serves Breakfast Sandwiches and Gifts | Eater Twin Cities

"I note Vivir opened today in Northeast, where Jose Alarcon and Jami Olson have taken the former forward-thinking Popol Vuh space and remade the room into a half retail shop/half quick-service café. The shelves are stocked with gift ideas including stoneware, snacks, and bottles of wine, while the food side features baked goods from pastry chef Ngia Xiong and breakfast items; there's also a case with sauces, tortillas, and other foods to bring home and cook. Hours are Tuesday–Thursday 8am–8pm, Friday–Saturday 8am–9pm, and Sunday 8am–8pm." - Joy Summers
