"Vivi’s is Hillsboro’s solid Vietnamese choice, with classics like beef pho and crispy spring rolls covered. Unusually, tripe and tendon is nowhere to be found, though here the dac biet features chicken breast, beef, chicken, and shrimp balls, in addition to the usual flank steak. Juicy and char-streaked grilled meats come with rice and nuoc cham, unless they’re rolled in rice paper with herbs and cucumbers. However you order, it’s hard to go wrong." - Krista Garcia, Janey Wong

Amazing food and lovely staff. Our meals came out very quickly. The Vietnamese iced coffee was great too. The place was busy when we came in despite being midday on a weekday! A good sign. Excited to come back!

This is the best pho we've found so far in Hillsboro. We had the beef stew and the pork vermicelli bowl. Both were delicious. The beef stew was an interesting twist on pho, with a rich, well seasoned broth and big chunks of tender brisket. The vermicelli bowl had their BBQ pork, which was good as always. Recommended.

This is from a vegetarian viewpoint. Since ViVi’s changed locations, the food is not quite as good,BUT is still a very solid choice. The lemongrass tofu is great. Ingredients are fresh and food comes out fast.

This is my local Pho place. I have been coming to Vivi’s for many years. They used to be in this little house around the corner when they first opened and quickly needed more space to accommodate all the people who fell in love with their soup. So they made the move to this location close by. I always get the beef pho with extra beef. It’s amazing but if you have the $$ and space in your belly, I recommend also getting the green papaya salad. I just love it! Super fresh and a great starter to share. Their broth is unmatched. Try it before ruining it with sauces. lol it’s seriously life altering good. Prepare to fall in love. 😍 ✨ The service is always friendly and fast. But this new location gets super packed for lunch because of Intel. So get here at 11 or parking and seating could be tough. It can also be a bit noisy because of all the people so if you are sensitive or hard of hearing, you’ve been warned.

I’ve been coming to this place since I was pretty little, and live away now, but still come eat every time I’m in town! Some of the best Vietnamese food ever! If it’s your first time coming, the Vermicelli bowls are always amazing, you can never go wrong. The pho combo with all meat types is amazing as well. The papaya salad and limeade are so refreshing too! I seriously dream of this food!

2024 update: I still love it here! My husband and I came for a date - the gentleman serving us on a busy Sunday was SO kind, and helpful. I have issues with too much gluten and he let me know which part of my meal had gluten… it helped me decide what was best for me. Thank you so much for continuing to make our visits enjoyable and delicious. I really had a great first experience here. I ordered to go and the lady helping me was so kind - she brought my son and I glasses of water while we waited. The food was nicely packaged and the food was delicious. I have tried 2 other Vietnamese places in Hillsboro area and this place is in my #1 place for now. It wasn’t too greasy like some places & didn’t upset my stomach. Sometimes other places put so much oil it bothers my stomach. I had the vermicelli bowl (with meat variety) and spring rolls.

Been visiting this place since 6+yrs and everything is same. Excellent place to have some of the best healthy and tasty food. Definitely worth making this your goto place. Their spicy sauce on the side is excellent complement to the dishes. Chicken vermicelli noodles were deliciously, tofu was good too. This place has been my goto, definitely bringing in more friends here. Highly recommend everyone

Yelp
I used to be a regular at this place many years ago when I used to live in Hillsboro. I still remember the small place that Vivi's was and the amazing smell as soon as we enter the restaurant. I recently happened to visit Hillsboro and both times I ended up going to Vivi's for lunch. I tried their Tofu rice plate recently and it was delicious, no change, nostalgic!

Yelp
First and last time here. Service was very slow, portions are small. I ordered the bun bo hue and it did not taste like authentic bun bo hue. I'd rather drive into Beaverton or Portland for better Vietnamese food.

Steven Brenner ..

Yelp
Food is excellent but one of their drivers simply decided to take my food and abscond.

Yelp
First time here for lunch on a Tuesday @ 11:30am with friends. Surrounding parking area has enough spots if you come at the right time but when I left, there were no open parking spots. Choose your arrival time wisely. Inside the restaurant, I found plenty of open clean tables and friendly staff. Water and the menu were promptly brought. I always ask for the favorites and was told to try the Pho Soups P1 or P4. I ended up with P1, the $14 beef noodle soup. It comes with fresh herbs (Thai basil, mint), beans sprouts, lime, soy sauce, and chili ( if you like the heat). I've tried beef noodle soup a number of times and unfortunately, mine tasted diluted. Couldn't taste the beef broth...maybe too much water? I normally leave no trace of contents in my bowl but this time, nope. Payment is by the cashier station by the kitchen area incase you forget and think they'll come to your table. I may come back and give the soup another shot. How was your soup?

Yelp
I see that my first review for Vivi's was 13 years ago so I'm looong overdue for an update! Vivi's is still my favorite Vietnamese restaurant and they are literally just as good today as they were 13 years ago. They're in a new location now which has more space (they quickly outgrew their original location) but still has a lot of the charm of their original location. There are beautiful Orchids and other fresh flowers placed throughout the restaurant. Makes it well worth the effort to dine in (plus the food will be fresher)! I've had their beef pho several times and it's always spectacular. I've also started trying other items from the menu and greatly enjoyed the lemongrass chicken and pork rolls. The spring rolls and summer rolls are also terrific every time. And there's plenty more on the menu to keep me busy for quite a while! Service is always warm and friendly. Sounds like I just talked myself into going back :). Let's go!

Monalisa H.

Yelp
Delicious Vietnamese food. Their fresh rolls are made to order with a variety of options. The bun is also one of our favorites.I ordered spicy pho with beef and it was yummy. The staff is super friendly and it feels like a family business.

Prag R.

Yelp
Great food and all the dishes we ordered tasted amazing. Lot of options for vegan food lovers too. I got Spring Roll, Lemon grass chicken, Grilled veggies and tofu. Good spot to hangout and grab some food with friends.

Kathirvel G.

Yelp
I cant speak about the authenticity since I am not Vietnamese, but the B3 spicy pho is a transformative experience, spice that opens up glands on the face to the maximum instead of just being painful, makes you realize why people fought wars for spice. Amazing service, clean, warm people, makes me proud to be American and have access to food and great people like this. Five stars, first review i have ever done on yelp

Nu N.

Yelp
I ordered special Pho, its not how I expected. I asked for hosin sauce, siracha and chilli oil. But they gave me hosin sauce and lemongrass oil, I added both and it didn't help the broth taste authentic Pho. Also, when my partner came to pick up the food, he was 1st in line and the food is ready but they skipped him to helped other people behind. I got recommend from other people, so I want to give it a try but my experience wasn't great, either the service or the food.

Yelp
Vivi has been our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. We've been noticed their portion has becoming smaller, but today's visit was disappointing. We ordered beef pho and chicken bun. Both tasted good as usual, but pho had less meat. Bun had less meat with very small amount of vegetables. I had to ask more vege. They used to serve generous amount of vegetables. I miss that. For our past visit, we also noticed summer roll became mini size. Everything became expensive nowadays. I understand they need to raise price and make a portion smaller to make profit... but we need to stop coming here for a while and go somewhere else to give us good portion of meal.

Ben C.

Yelp
Something has changed. Stir Fry was so small & flavorless. Unfortunately had to remedy with gobs of oyster & Sriracha sauce. Pho was not hitting the depth it used to. Not sure what the tip is for when you have to walk up to the counter for basic water & napkins & sauce? Pay at the counter? Hmmm :/

Yelp
Environment: New location since I last went and I'm happy to see them becoming more and more successful. Nicer space, different types of seating, open kitchen, and fun colors. Staff: very friendly and kind. Welcomed us with constant smiles. Food: To go We ordered their first pho. The soup was good as we didn't get thirsty after drinking it. The meat was still very tender, one of the most tender-beef that I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant and it was take out, too! The one thing that could be better was the toppings. It was limited and not just the one I ordered but the other pho options only had a few toppings. I'm sure you could add more with additional cost but other restaurants would have more meats and such. ~$15 We also ordered their lemongrass pork. Gave us 3 generous slices that were seasoned nicely. The meat was not too dry and I saw them grilling it on the spot. There were also some eggplants, one slice of grilled carrot, sweet potato, and a broccoli. Their rice was good. $~15 It was okay!

Carol M.

Yelp
I ordered delivery of the grilled pork vermicelli bowl. It was delicious! The good mix of vegetables with the pork and noodles. The fish sauce was also tasty and added the right amount of tangy flavor! I also enjoyed the spring roll. Service was prompt and efficient.

Bernie R.

Yelp
Been coming here for years for the friendly service and fresh food. Kids also love it!

Victoria K.

Yelp
Ahhh Viet food in Portland area has been hard to find. I started going to Vivi's when they were in a stand alone building next to 808 Grinds. It was a small place with about seating for 10 people. High amounts of take out orders, but I've always opted to dine in. Here is what we've tried: Spring Rolls: deep fried to goodness. I love asking for a side of fish sauce for these hot rolls! Summer Rolls: delicious and fresh. I love the bean sprouts and the mint leaf; however my husband hated mint and he thinks it is overpowering. Entrees: I am a huge fan of their vermicelli bowls. The meat is delicious and flavorful! They do come with a spring roll, some carrots and daikin, and bean sprouts. It is such a hearty bowl filled with noodles. I love adding fish sauce. In addition they do rice bowls: so instead of noodles its rice! The fish sauce tends to soak better in the rice over the noodles! They have pork, beef, shrimp, and a combo! I love the combo of meats for either entree Phos: We have tried the basic pho, the combo pho, AND the spicy one. I love the spice but ask for extra sriracha on the side. The pho broths are fairly clear and have a great flavor. Crispy Lemongrass Tofu: although I know most pho places are known for their phos. HOLY MOLY- you must try this tofu dish. It is great. It has a little kick of spice, but such a great lemomy flavor that is not overpowering. I love the dishes that I get here. Due to the influx of orders and moving places; they have expanded well. They are now located in the shopping center! Parking is hard due to the crowds, but it is easy to spot the purple sign. The only thing I want to fix a bit is the efficiency of service. However- understood that its hard to keep workers. There was only one server for the whole dining room while every other person was working on to-go orders. With the new and bigger space: I hope they can hire more and become efficient in serving their dine in customers

Ken H.

Yelp
This place will rock your world with the amazing flavors of Thai/Vietnam. This gem should be your fist stop in Hillsboro OR. The service is second to none. They are gracious in tailoring ordering to customers needs. Miss this place at your own risk.

Ashwya N.

Yelp
Easily the best Pho in the neighborhood!! I surprisingly like their chicken better than their spicy beef offering . It's a family owned and the food reflects the effort put in by the team . Incredibly consistent and tasty . I have been frequenting since 2017 and not sure why I only got to penning down a review now !!

831KaliKing

Yelp
My daughter loves their GÒI CUÓN and Beef PHÒ BÒ, but I am all about their calm environment where I am typically having Pork CHÀ GIÒ and BÚN BÒ HUÊ with my service animal @831Peep. Not only my favorite Vietnamese Soup, but overall at my favorite restaurant that unlike most Asian spots, is open 7 days a week. Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. and Friday & Saturday until 8 p.m. Happy New Year. Dragons all day.

Yelp
Came here near closing time and the restaurant was full. The owner (i think) came to greet us and is super inviting. I saw her go around chatting to the other tables as well. Shes super friendly. The food came out super hot and fresh. I was so excited to eat I burnt my tongue. While slurping the noodles i splashed a drop on my leg and burnt my leg as well so be careful when eating your food! We ordered the beef pho which was delicious. The broth was clear and tasty. The bowl was the perfect serving portion for me. We tried to order the B3 but she warned us about how spicy it was so we changed our order to B2 which was a good choice. It was spicy enough to have a kick but not too spicy. She even came up to our table after to see if we liked it. The My Tho had a different broth than the broth in both of the beef noodles and was savory and a beautiful chicken broth. The grilled lemongrass chicken was ok. Nothing special. When coming here i would stick to the noodles. They are so delicious, fresh and well made. The service here is great. Vivi's is a homey, inviting place to get some authentic Vietnamese food to fill your stomach.

Jonice H.

Yelp
The service was friendly and welcoming, but the food was not authentic at all. Definitely caters to the American taste sweet and flavorless. I wanted to give this place a good review but I just can't. I've been to many Thai restaurants and I've also been to Thailand and this didn't even come close to being real, the fish had no garlic. The had no herbs. It was very bland and sweet.

Katie B.

Yelp
Vivi's is one of those unassuming, tiny, hole in the wall type of spots which serve absolutely delicious food. For the past several years now, they have been our go to pho spot in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area and I'm honestly disappointed most of the time when I try anywhere else. Their beef pho and chicken pho are both delicious - especially the chicken. I love their crispy rolls and the rice noodle bowls. You honestly can't go wrong with anything here. The place is small, so time your visit if it's around lunch time, or get it to go. Another plus is that the prices are still very reasonable, in the $10-12 range for some pho.

Nathan S.

Yelp
Vivi's is top quality local Vietnamese fare! The food is fresh, delicious, and their service is great. I've eaten here a few times already and will be making this a staple lunch and dinner option. Notable menu items: 1. Their fresh salad rolls are some of the best I've found locally. They pack them with flavorful fresh herbs and not cheap filler iceberg lettuce or an unruly amount of rice noodles. They're swaddled bundles of joy and goodness. 2. Their soup broth is healing. Wonderfully flavorful, and also paired with the freshest ingredients. This is a go-to for myself and coworkers on cold days and when anyone is feeling under the weather. 3. Everything else on the menu - while I haven't tried everything, anything I've seen someone else order has looked great, and their review has been nothing less of well pleased.

Aqeel R.

Yelp
Love this place. The food is very flavorful. I also get the potato pancakes. It isn't something I had before but I've grown to like. The service is also impeccable.

Marty B.

Yelp
SOOOOOO delicious!!!! We were happy to see the place busy at lunchtime on Labor Day. The coconut juice is very yummy - sweeter than regular coconut water, and with delicious slices of soft coconut at the bottom. I had the B3. Hủ Tiếu Bò Satế - Spicy Beef Satay Soup and it was outstanding. It's quite spicy, requiring lots of water and napkins, SOOOOO good! My husband really liked their summer rolls, and his entree was B5. Bún Thịt Heo Nướng - Grilled Pork Vermicelli, which he really enjoyed. The staff was very nice (always with smiles, asking if everything was to our liking), and despite the crowd, service was very fast. We'll definitely be back!

Frank C.

Yelp
The wife and I are on the mend from the flu, so soup sounded good. Did my usual yelp search, found this gem. Had the loaded pho and a side of 4 rolls, food was hot, fresh and tasty! Service was good, polite and friendly. Aplus!

Joy M.

Yelp
Always delicious. I got the 4 different salad rolls, shrimp, chicken, beef and pork. Also the Super Bowl with less noodles. Great combo and very tasty.

Tina L.

Yelp
The Super Bowl was a nice mix of chicken, pork & beef. Flavors were on point, not sure I agree with the menu's description of "hearty serving" My order was takeout in which the service was fast.

Anna G.

Yelp
Love this place. Food is always good. Service takes a bit long. But worth the wait. Ambiance in the new location is nice.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
This is probably the best place for Pho that I've found so far. The broth is not as sweet as I prefer but it's definitely good and savory. I also tasted their chicken noodle soup with organic chicken and it was just perfect for when you're feeling a little off. Note that it's Vietnamese style chicken noodle soup, but its clean and delicious. The summer rolls were also a great side dish to have. As for the toppings, they are limited but honestly, I prefer it that way. Most of the times you end up not using all the toppings given so this is a great way to not let food go to waste. If you go heavy on the sauce, I'm sure you can request more. We didn't but I don't see why it would be an issue. Service was also wonderful. Everyone was kind and welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. Will be our go to spot from now on!

Yvonne Y.

Yelp
More authentic than most other Vietnamese restaurants. Worth a try. They get busy early, so either show up early, or be ok with the wait

Sam G.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food in Washington county! Love the salad rolls, and the vermicelli. The chicken is grilled perfectly, and so yummy. I could drink their peanut sauce!!

Karishma A.

Yelp
**vegetarian review** Vivi's has an extensive vegetarian selection which is a delight! I ordered crispy lemongrass tofu with rice, crispy tofu with tomato, spring rolls and fresh rolls. The dipping sauces weren't sweet which I liked! Both the rolls were perfect!! I loved the lemongrass tofu and my friend loved the tofu in tomato sauce! The portion sizes were good and the food was well packaged. Definitely recommend as a strong vegetarian option

Kim M.

Yelp
No. Pho. Better. This is my go-to comfort food!!! Pho Ga is what I want when i don't feel well. Or when it's chilly. Or when I need a pick-me-up. Or just because.....

Barlow B.

Yelp
This place is very good. I've visited a couple other restaurants in the area that claimed to be Vietnamese but were just weird general hodgepodge Asian restaurants with random assortments of food from different cultures. But this place is the real deal. And the food is very good. I got a spicy soup with a peanut base that was amazing. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Kay C.

Yelp
Ordered food to go from here! Everything was spot on and totally delicious! The veggies in the grilled beef vermicelli were crisp and fresh. We saved the pho we ordered to eat later. It was packaged so nicely so the broth was separate and didn't make the accompanying parts soggy. This allowed us to heat up the broth at a later time. I have never had the grilled chicken roll before (only just had it with veggies and no meat), but I have to say this was really a highlight of my order. The flavor was so great! The veggies again were fresh and crisp. The dipping sauce was so delicious and I wished for more. Finally our meal was finished with the fried bananas. I was pleasantly surprised that there was coconut inside! This was a great addition I haven't experienced before. Again, the sauce put this dessert over the top. Would definitely order from here again. Was especially pleased at how my to go order was packaged.

R K.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal. I ordered the ribs and they melted in my mouth. There was a small issue with my order, but when I brought it up to the friendly staff they quickly remedied the issue. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Don R.

Yelp
I have lived and worked in the area for many years and a friend recommended to me. Food is great. Service is outstanding. Will come back very soon.

Lea V.

Yelp
My family loves Vivi's!! We start with the Summer Rolls, with the best peanut sauce ever. They're perfect. Then Super Plates - with the juiciest grilled meats. We also love the Tamarind Soup. And round it all out with Coconut Juice to drink. We've been coming here for years and it consistently good.

Malisa T.

Yelp
Cozy, warm environment and next to my daughters Montessori school. Their pho is more Northern style pho, and my boyfriends mom loves this place (she'll drive all the way to Tigard to come here). We usually get the Pho Dac Biet. We normally don't like tendon, but lucky for us they don't put tendon in their pho's which is a +1 I got the Ca phe du sua and it's very well balanced with coffee and ice. I hate places that give you way too much ice but they're very mindful. Will always be one of our favorite pho restaurants on the west side of town

Joshua L.

Yelp
One of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Hillsboro. The staff is always friendly. One time we found a fly in my wives soup and they happily replaced the bowl with another. Their pho is great with a rich sweetness to the broth. There was one time where the soup felt a little oilier than normal, but otherwise no complaints. The portions are huge and definitely hits the spot especially in the colder months. One of my favorite entrees is their Combo plate which has pork, beef, and chicken, with decent portions for each.

Irene M.

Yelp
The food here was shockingly disappointing. It's overpriced for what you are served. The quality and presentation were less than mediocre. The pho was too salty that my kids could not eat it. The combo rice plate looked like meat from The Dollar Tree - lack of quality and flavor. The service was ok and the restaurant looked cleaned for the most part.

Zili T.

Yelp
Last tried, it's not good as used to be where was in the old location. I think owner has been changed and didn't see familiar staffs. The meat in the soup is of poor quality and there is not much of it.

DiAnne A.

Yelp
Went with Vietnamese friends who were in town. We shared three different types of Phô - all were WONDERFUL! all food items were delicious and authentic. We will keep going again & again!

Melissa S.

Yelp
I was really sick with strep throat so my husband got me some pho. I swear almost immediately after eating it I felt like I was feeling better and by the next day I was very much recovered. Granted I had already been ill for a few days but I firmly believe this soup had some healing benefits

Manawin O.

Yelp
If I could give a negative star I would. This place change location and moved to another building which I thought perhaps I should try it again and check out if it's gotten better. It didn't. The first thing, as you walked in there's a note saying "short staffed". Which everyone is so I was willing to let that go. After our order was taken, it took them 2 hours to get our food. The whole 2 hours, they have made other peoples food after us and not our table. A lot of people have checked in after us, ate, paid, and left. Once our table called them to check our situation, they forgot our food and it's was the wrong order. I got bun Bo hue and they gave me vermicelli noodles in my soup. At check out, I've spoken to the lady about comping our food coz we weren't being served , they've forgotten our order, made us wait for not "1" but "2" hours! Waiting wasn't even a big deal breaker for us but it was forgetting our order. The lady said she can't do anything about that. She Proceeded to say that, sorry i don't know how to do that, I'm not here to argue with you but we are short staffed and everyone is asking for a discount, all I can say is I'm sorry we apologize, we work really hard to help everyone, we either stay open like this or close the store until we're get staff. And walks away. It was infuriating since we weren't one of the tables that they "helped" . If everyone asking for a discount, that is saying that your service is awful and you need to reconsider. If you don't want to argue just do it. Flavor and quality of food, it's edible. The flavor is definitely lacking when you can't even provide manageable restaurant. Consider closing your store until your are staffed because you'll lose a lot more money losing customers being open.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Vivi's has been a favorite restaurant of ours for years and the updated location takes the dining experience to another level. I especially like the Bun Bo Hue, a spicy beef noodle soup, but the traditional pho options are also good. If you are looking for something other than soup, the rice plates or rice rolls are also delicious. I always get a Vietnamese coffee or lemonade too.

Timothy S.

Yelp
My wife and I do takeout from Vivi's all of the time. I really like their beef vermicelli bowl. If you're haven't been, give them a try!

M B.

Yelp
I've never had a bad experience with Vivi's. The food is so tasty and fresh and crisp, the flavors are super well balanced. It's the best Vietnamese food I've had in the PDX Metro area. I'm so happy they moved into the new space, because now it's much bigger and easier to move around in. One of my favorite less expensive places to eat for warm comfort food. I'm especially fond of the Pho Bo and the Vegan Rolls (great even if you're not vegan!). The wait staff is always nice and responsive.

Amber B.

Yelp
all I can say is YES. Vivi's is our go to celebration restaurant cause all of us love it!
