"Vixen’s Wedding, the Goan restaurant in the Arrive East Austin Hotel from Lenoir owners Todd Duplechan and Jessica Maher, is closing. Its last day will be Sunday, November 5. Vixen’s Wedding opened in July 2019 serving dishes from the Indian state of Goa, which is heavily influenced from its former colonization by Portugal. It was known for dishes like gunpowder cauliflower, whole fish, great cocktails, and gorgeous decor. Duplechan chose to focus on Goan cuisine after due to his relationship with Indian chef and former colleague Floyd Cardoz." - Erin Russell
"Located at the base of the Arrive Hotel on a busy stretch of East 6th Street, Vixen’s Wedding specializes in Goan cuisine, blending Indian and Portuguese flavors, resulting in dishes like a rich and spicy pork rib vindaloo with coconut salad or savory roast quail over a mole-esque, bittersweet chocolate curry. There’s a very solid prix fixe tasting menu, and if you’re here for a special occasion, it’s probably the way to go. Otherwise, pop in on a casual weekday and order most of the same dishes, a la carte. Whichever route you decide, dishes will generally be served family style.
