A neighborhood institution now set in the historic Olmos Pharmacy building, Volare remains family-operated with New York–meets–Naples flavor. Local outlets have covered its move and continued following; look for live music and classic pies.

OK. I got delivery pizza and it was great! Then I got delivery calzone. Definitely the opposite of great! Complete Ricotta bomb! Like...gross amount of Ricotta and I could not find the sausage at all. What I did find was badly undercooked! The pepperoni was fine, but not very much. Basically it was a tube of Ricotta with an incredibly difficult to cut crust. We ate 1/4 of it and tossed the rest. I might try the pizza again...but right now, I can't see it.

We came to Volare for lunch and it was incredible! Their lunch specials are a great value and the fresh, homemade pasta just melts in your mouth. The bruschetta appetizer was bursting with flavor. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a private Italian dining experience, and the attention to detail is amazing. Service was outstanding—friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

I have had the pleasure of dining at numerous Italian restaurants, but this San Antonio location stands out as a truly exceptional experience. For those seeking authentic Italian cuisine paired with an impressive selection of fine wines, I highly recommend this outstanding establishment

In town for a law enforcement meeting, our chapter (party of 12) popped in for lunch and had excellent service and tasty food. Our food server hustled her tail to get us on our way. The pizza is excellent.

Good food and pleasant staff. Sauce was very rich and delicious for chicken picatta. Thanks

I heard about this place from a friend and went to try it out while we were nearby. The place is smaller than I thought, with very open seating in the middle with booths around. It was decorated very nuclear with dim but nice lighting and was all super clean. The waiter & staff were super nice and attentive, Our party ended up ordering the garlic cheese bread which was amazing, especially with the sauce it came with and the calamari was good too. I ordered a Caesar salad, which was a bit on the sweet side for me but was really good. My main dish was the Pasta Della Nonna, the flavor was balanced, and the sausage in it was great, just wish it was spicy. If your craving Italian like me and my freinds were we definitely recommend them to anyone who has the opportunity to try it.

I had a wonderful time tonight, in celebration of my Birthday, (made it to 80! Thank You God! ) invited by my sister Angie and two of my nieces, Alexandra and Norma, who also have Birthdays this month. The food was great; the service was 5+, helped by nice Lulu. And the music was very enjoyable, versatile musician, singing in Italian, English and Spanish. Played nice songs, not too loud and not too quiet. I had the Linguine al profumo di mare; it had shrimp, clams and mussels 😋. Pinot Grigio white wine -and Tiramisu as dessert, also Cannoli that my sister shared. Sister and nieces also enjoyed their selections. Will definitely come back to this restaurant. 🤗 Thanks!!

Owner didn’t seem to care that we got overcharged by one of the servers. We ordered mozzarella sticks for $12.99 (on a cashapp card). Server charged us $37.10 and when we asked about it the server seemed nervous as if she knew she messed up. We asked for a refund so we could pay the mozzarella sticks. Owner didn’t help at all, got upset that we requested a refund & caught an attitude with us. Don’t get me wrong the food is delicious but they need to work on customer service.
