Six South Denver Restaurants to Try This Week - Eater Denver

"Even Denverites who have never been to VooDoo Doughnuts are still likely to recognize the iconic pink boxes that carry these zany, and sometimes risqué, doughnuts. With this new location on South Broadway, it's now easier for Denverites who live on the south side of town to grab fan favorites like the Oh Captain My Captain, a yeast doughnut topped with vanilla frosting and Captain Crunch cereal. There is also the recently-debuted Cannolo, a tube-like doughnut stuffed with cream cheese filling." - Georgina Rupp

10 Essential Denver Doughnut Shops | Eater Denver

"Like the outpost on East Colfax, the new South Broadway location of this Portland staple offers over 50 different doughnuts, known for their innuendos and snark. Voodoo takes the doughnut game to the next level, topping creations with cereals, candies, and powders to make morning-friendly desserts that pop. Warning: The shop is open 24/7." - Camila Navarrette

Voodoo Doughnut opens a second Denver location - Eater Denver

"Voodoo Doughnut now has its second location in Denver, opening on June 16 on South Broadway. That means bacon maple bars and vegan doughnuts served 24/7. The new location features indoor seating, custom doughnut orders, and both legal and non-legal wedding ceremonies. The grand opening on Sunday includes free doughnuts for dads from 10 a.m. to midnight, and events for the whole family including magic, balloon animals, stilt walking, and a non-legal wedding ceremony. Voodoo with its cake, yeast, and specialty doughnuts opened in 2013 with long lines at the pink swaddled location at 1520 E. Colfax. The Voodoo Doughnut legend started in 2003, when co-founders Tres Shannon and Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson launched the business in Portland. Shannon lived in Denver for a while and decided to expand to the Mile High City. Classic Voodoo irreverent specialties include the “cock-n-balls” shaped raised yeast doughnut that’s triple filled with Bavarian cream and topped with chocolate frosting; the Memphis Mafia with banana chunks and cinnamon covered in glaze, drizzled in chocolate and peanut butter, with peanuts and chocolate chips on top; and the vegan School Daze “PB&J” filled with raspberry jelly, and topped with peanut butter and a side dip of peanuts. Raised yeast varieties include the Dirt with vanilla frosting and Oreo cookies; Old Dirty Bastard with chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies, and peanut butter; the Loop with vanilla frosting and Fruit Loops; and Oh Captain, My Captain with vanilla frosting and Captain Crunch. Cake options include Tangfastic with vanilla frosting, Tang, and three marshmallows; Marshall Mathers with vanilla frosting and mini M&M’s; the Ring of Fire with a chocolate cake doughnut dusted in cinnamon sugar, cayenne pepper, and topped with a dried red chili pepper; and the Triple Chocolate Penetration with a chocolate cake doughnut with chocolate frosting and Cocoa Puffs. The 24-hour doughnut shop, which is currently hiring, takes over the former Famous Pizza space that closed last year after 45 years." - Susan Stapleton

This is my new favorite donut place! I ordered delivery and it was fast, accurate, and super tasty. The donuts here are one of a kind! Their selection of great donuts seems to be always growing every time I order, and whenever I order it always tastes great! The staff are so nice! I ordered chocolate sprinkles on one of my donuts, which they didn’t have - but they made it up by giving regular sprinkles and an extra donut on the house! That was so kind!

Google
BIG DONUT LOVER HERE! VooDoo Doughnuts is the place to go! I would give more stars if I could. the storefront sign caught my eye while on vacation in the area, so we stopped in to check it out. So glad we did! The service was awesome, the store was clean and the selection was incredible! We grabbed a half dozen of random choices and I was super impressed with the freshness and the tastyness. I thought the prices were fair, considering the high quality of their baked goods. If you love donuts like me, it's definitely worth a try!

Google
Whether you are just visiting or live here, this place is a must! It is an entire experience, the staff is amazing, and they have such a unique and fun variety of donuts. We have not had one that was anything short of amazing. Highly recommended and going into the shop is a whole experience. Not to mention a bargain for the custom selections and they have all of the regular donut options as well as vegan. Highly recommended!

Google
This was our first stop in Denver and it started the trip perfectly. All the donuts were delicious. We got a vegan half dozen. Flavors went crazy and they were so cute.

Google
Josh was our cashier/host this time and he was super patient and answered all of my questions. They are big donuts and they offer a variety from super sweet to sweet and savory! They're unique and that's definitely why I came back.

Google
We've got the Voodo Dozen, I'm telling you, this box is HUGE, Donuts are pretty good. We loved them, $32 for a Dozen is kinda crazy and expensive for me but we wanted to try them, thank you guys

I’m not sure if Marty K was the same person who helped me yesterday, his name was on my receipt, but whoever it was, he was incredibly friendly and helpful! I had parked a good distance away to pick up my large online order for an event we were hosting, and the gentleman at the front desk kindly offered to help me carry everything to my car. I wish I’d had more of a tip to give him, but I hope he sees this review! He was so accommodating and genuinely kind. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely be coming back! And by the way, the doughnuts were absolutely delicious!

Kayla Treutle

Google
Loved the donut I got - Dirty Old Bastard. I also love the pink interior and the look of the other donuts, I am looking forward to trying other flavors. We visited this location during the Halloween Parade so it was pretty busy and the line went to the door but it was still a pretty quick service.

Yelp
All of these were very delicious, my personal favorite is glazed! Makes for the best late night snack!

Yelp
Ambiance semi cool Service very personalized with so many selections of donuts Ordered an apple fritter and it was all over fried crust minimal apple for $4.50. Embarrassing. Back to Dunkin D

Yelp
My family and I love Voodoo Doughnut because of the vegan options. My son is severely allergic to milk and one of my daughters is allergic to egg. This is one of the few places we all can enjoy donuts together safely. We love the vegan Dirt, raised glazed, chocolate ring, and maple bar. They taste like regular donuts. The size of each justifies the price. We prefer this location because it's closest to home and also not full of bums/construction like the original location. I hope more locations will open up in the future because delicious vegan donuts are hard to come by. The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly as well. I think they are careful with keeping vegan donuts from regular donuts.

Yelp
There is no better way to reward yourself after a walk around Wash Park than a fat doughnut at VooDoo. There, I said it! After doing exactly that, my friend and I opted to stop in for a sweet treat and landed on two different types of doughnuts. A maple bacon topped doughnut and a berry filled cream doughnut - both of which were made with love and delicious!! A must try in Denver!

Yelp
First time trying VD, though I've always seen it around in various cities. Ordered the following flavors: + cinnamon sugar cake + maple bar + Double chocolate + Vicious hibiscus + The Homer + chocolate glazed Cinnamon sugar cake was my favorite, followed by the maple bar. Overall I wasn't terribly impressed though - would rather get my treats fix at Reunion or another bakery.

Yelp
Voo Doo Donuts is one of my favorite places to go, and I don't get there nearly enough. I hadn't been to the one on Broadway, and it's now my preferred location because of the seating area. They have lots of windows to do some people watching while getting your sugar fix beneath the beautiful chandeliers. The room has cement floors that added to the noise of the metal chairs being scraped around, but I still enjoyed being able to eat right there. My Portland Cream donut was soft and delicious with lots of custard inside. The chocolate cake donut was also very good. Granted, I've never had a donut that wasn't excellent at Voo Doo. We also had a cup of coffee that was a little bitter but it could have been because it was sitting in the pot on the counter too long. So - I can't help but wonder how many visits I'll need to make to try all their varieties.

Yelp
Of the four locations in the Denver metro area, (one now on Concourse B at the airport), this is the one location I visit the most often as I always get great service and delicious, melt-in-your-mouth donut concoctions. The location along Broadway always has a great view for people watching- both in and outside of the store. My favorite donut is the "Homer" an homage to the great Simpsons' donut. Also in the order was a chocolate round and maple bar. These are incredibly sweet and always hit the spot.
google avatar

Kelsey J.

Yelp
I tried a different VooDoo location 2 years ago and they were dry and crusty donuts. I was near this location the other day and decided to give it another try. I'm so glad I did.. they were some of the best donuts I've had...maybe ever. I couldn't believe it! They were so soft and fresh. Perfect donut-to-icing ratios. I might have to make some special trips over here to get my next fix! My favorite donut was the classic maple bar.. but honestly they were all 10's. You can see from the picture, that I couldn't wait to take bites before snapping the pic :D.

Yelp
Such a cool location located right in the heart of downtown Denver. Incredible options, very clean and large space and a fantastic selection of donuts. There was street parking and lots of indoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped into the Voodoo Doughnuts location on South Broadway on a busy night to get doughnuts to go, and service was friendly and patient with me as I decided what to get! I had been to Voodoo Doughnuts on a trip to Portland 7 years ago and had not been there since, so I was excited to re-try this famous gem. There are so many options to choose from, even if you're vegan! The doughnuts are biiiiig, so they're great for sharing. The cake doughnuts are so good. You end up cutting a piece for yourself, and then another one, and another one... you get it. The south broadway location is super cute and retro. I'd definitely come back!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
It's a cool vibe, trying to make donuts edgy, but it's really just a decent donut at a decent price. Nothing I'd travel miles for, but was a perfect stop for us while we waiting. I'd say kids will love it, because what kid doesn't love a donut, but there are a few sketchy options that I wouldn't want my kids to ask about! But staff is friendly and the place is a retro donut shop from the 'bad' side of town, so give it a go.

Yelp
Indulgent worthy doughnuts! While driving by, I saw the lit sign on the corner at dusk back in July of 2022 but didn't stop in due to the parking situation and my time restraint. Fast forward to April 2023, parking was still a beast, but I had more time. Parking is definitely an issue unless you find a spot on the street that has a car leaving or is vacant. They don't have a lot to park in. After circling around the block a couple of times, I finally found a spot. Broadway is a one-way street and it's metered parking here. I don't particularly care for the name or theme of the shop, but I had heard a lot about this doughnut shop originating in Portland, OR. We have one here in the Los Angeles area at Universal Studios, but I never visited it. So, I came here while I was in town! There's a poster on the window where you can look at the doughnuts and see if any are of interest to you before walking in. Yes, I saw many doughnuts I would have loved to try, but since it was just me, I very carefully chose two. There's a rotating carousel displaying three tiers of delicious doughnuts. The lady at the counter greeted me and waited patiently as I was taking forever to make my selection. She grabbed my doughnuts and put them in a pink box. I was surprised that they weren't crammed in a paper bag, thank you! I don't think they use bags, like my local doughnut shops. The shop has a two sections; one for ordering and the other for dining. It's very spacious! There's lots of room for people to stand in line. Also, it's nice that the line is not in direct proximity to where people are sitting trying to enjoy their food. The inside is all pink & black and has chandeliers! Mango Tango & School Daze PB&J were my choices. The Mango Tango is a raised shell filled with mango jelly and topped with vanilla frosting and Tang (the drink powder). Delish! The School Daze "PB&J" is a Vegan Doughnut, but it didn't seem like it. This one is a raised yeast shell filled with raspberry jelly, topped with peanut butter and a side dip of peanuts. It was so flavorful from the PB&J"! I like some of the creative names of the doughnuts! Would you like a Oh Captain, My Captain with Cap'n Crunch on top, Marshall Mathers with Mini M&Ms on top, or The Homer which is has strawberry frosting and round sprinkles? Upon another visit, I'd be interested in trying the Ring of Fire (Devil's food cake with cinnamon sugar, cayenne pepper, and a dried red chili pepper), Viscous Hibiscus (hibiscus frosting and black sprinkles), and the Apple Fritter (fried dough with apple chunks and cinnamon and topped with glaze)! Maybe I'll have someone to share these with!

Yelp
I was so happy there was a Voodoo Doughnut on Broadway, I bit into my maple bar before I thought to snap a pic. Nice, friendly service with plenty of a selection. This one isn't as crowded as the location on Colfax so I appreciated the short line and very little wait.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried this place while in Denver this week. The donuts are bomb! So good. Had the maple bacon! Really quality donuts. Service is good and place is clean and organized.
google avatar

Eric N.

Yelp
As my wife and I were eating our donuts in preparation to go to a comedy show down the street, she said "I'd stab a guy for another donut!" Higher praise has never been given
google avatar

Phillip B.

Yelp
I didn't realize they had built another voodoo donut downtown on Broadway. After leaving a performance I happened into the establishment. Though they didn't have my favorite maple and bacon donut I found a few others to replace it. They now take credit cards in which they didn't when they first opened in their original shop. The shop looked clean and the one employee behind the counter seemed to be on top of things as the line was building but it wasn't too much out of hand.
google avatar

Jennie S.

Yelp
Quick easy place to pick up a sweet treat. These donuts were really delicious and they have so many flavors. They were also very quick. They're open pretty late too so if you're out in downtown it's easy to come here afterwards the is really nice inside. It's very spacious lots of places to sit, but you can also take out.
google avatar

Cassie M.

Yelp
I first went to Voodoo almost a decade ago! And I was happy to return. The best one I have had so far is the Memphis Mafia!! It was ginormous & delicious. The fried banana pieces in there were a unique touch. The banana cream pie was like a bababa pudding in a donut also really good. Lastly this time I also got the buttermilk bar which I was disappointed about because I didn't realize it was a cake donut & I strongly prefer yeast donuts. That one is just like a giant donut hole. I went at night time & the donuts were still fresh!
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
Too many donuts..too little time. I love this place but caution they get super busy. It is definitely worth the wait for these super delicious treats.
google avatar

Abbey L.

Yelp
Voodoo never disappoints. Unique flavors, fast service. Very sweet for my taste but if that's your thing then you'll love it here. Most convenient part is the late night hours.
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
Super fun and creative donuts that live up to the hype. If you want a donut that's a bit funkier than your classic glazed or shaped in the form of a ghost, no matter the time of year, then voodoo is the place! They're always coming up with something new and fun.
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
I used to live in Portland, OR where voodoo originated so I was very excited to find out there was a location in Denver. A lot of Portland locals don't care for it because there are "better donuts". However, I've always been a big big fan. I love the variety, the quirkiness and a donut is a donut. They're all good! This location had a very short line; in Portland the line can take an hour sometimes! I got the big jelly donut and it fulfilled my every donut fantasy. I gave up sugar for lent and this was the first treat that passed my lips. What an experience it was. The gooey, oozing jelly amidst the flaky sweet dough let me wanting more. The voodoo doll (also filled with jelly!), cookies and cream and homer are all some of my favorites. If you're looking for a wonderful donut experience, look no further.
google avatar

Shin M.

Yelp
$8 something for 2 donuts Portland creme was pretty good, just like a Boston creme donut Mango creme donut was aiight
google avatar

Dre H.

Yelp
Never tried this place. My friends and I ordered through Door Dash. I have to say paying 45.00 dollars for donuts and the quality was disappointing. The buttermilk bar was dry. Diablo Rex was meh. Tasted stale. Raspberry Romeo was pretty good. Voodoo Doll being their signature donut was the best as well as the blueberry cake. I have definitely had better. I don't know if it would make a difference going in. My friends and I agree that we prefer another establishment. May give it another chance. Just sad that it wasn't the best.

S H.

Yelp
Not as good as the og in Portland but still delicious! Good the second day but not so good third day - common sense but in case your eyes are bigger than your stomach like me, be warned they wont last over your trip. Located in a pretty walkable area.
google avatar

Maura R.

Yelp
I've been hunting for the best donut for 3 years and always try new places when I travel. Heard great things about Voodoo but to be honest, they're fine. I've had fantastic donuts and these are Dunkin' Donuts level (mid to subpar), but Dunkin's chocolate donut is better than their's. The s'mores was good but it's nothing mind blowing. Blueberry tasted fake and spongey (not cake like). They have a fun Photo Booth which was nice (6$ though). Staff were friendly. I would recommend other places before Voodoo but it wasn't awful - just not the hype I've heard.
google avatar

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Such a yummy donut! I got an apple fritter and it was perfectly chewy, light, and sweet! Love the apple chucks too. I got a chocolate one to take home to our son. He will be thrilled. Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Deborah M.

Yelp
I haven't met a doughnut I didn't love and this is no exception! I brought my sister here after a show at Redrocks and she thought it was a hoot! The Portland is a fave with yummy cream inside and there are lots of choices!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Got the dirt donut which was good but felt like the donut itself tasted like any other regular donut. The Oreos did give it good texture. Loved the pink walls--great ambiance.
google avatar

Aundya A.

Yelp
Got a dozen donuts via mobile order on a Sunday. While the line was long, I was able to skip the line and pick up on the side. The donuts were extremely tasty, and I really enjoyed the Dirt and the Maple Bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful with making sure my order matched what I ordered online. Cute donut spot that had lots of seating
google avatar

Philip H.

Yelp
Amazing doughnuts! Lots of sweet!!!! The variety is epic and there are all kinds of flavors

Stephanie K.

Yelp
These donuts are absolutely delicious and the coffee was good . But the best part about this place is their staff. They are super friendly and helpful. I was an idiot and ordered the wrong donuts , I went back in several hours later to ask for the correct ones and she just gave me them to me on the house. :). I plowed thru a half dozen in a couple of hours and do not even regret it. SOOO GOOD :)).
google avatar

Casey M.

Yelp
Holy cow I am so impressed with voodoo doughnuts and the wide variety that they have to offer! Not to mention the fact that they have VEGAN doughnuts that are actually incredible!!! (They even separate the vegan from the regular in two separate boxes). My personal favorite vegan options are the School Daze (Pb and J) and the Vegan Voodoo Doll... anything filled with their raspberry jelly is unbeatable! Some fan favorites are the old dirty bastard, the homer and the blueberry doughnut. I also loved that they had star of David Jelly doughnuts for Chanukah! It is so rare to find Chanukah related items in the mix of all things Christmas out here, and they were insanely delicious!! Pro Tip: Voodoo delivers on all the major sites like Grubhub and Seamless, so you don't even have to leave your couch to get to this deliciousness.
google avatar

Nate C.

Yelp
If you are a donut connoisseur then VooDoo Donuts has to be one of the top 5 spots to match your taste. In this case, traveling to Denver Colorado was an exceptional experience. My first encounter with this donut laboratory was back in 2006 when I went to Portland Oregon and stumbled upon the very first VooDoo donuts locations. The quality, care and creativity that goes into the production is incredible. It is a donut lover's paradise! The history is this: Portlands own Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson and Tres Shannon collaborated on the creation of Voodoo Doughnut. They shared a desire to fuse take entertainment and business together. With this in mind, they discovered that downtown Portland lacked a doughnut shop. As a result, they rented a small storefront situated between two nightclubs in Old Town in 2003. Today they operate 17 locations across six states and the numbers are climbing! The hours vary but here in Denver they close at 3am, cultivating the needs of donut lovers around the city with expectations to deliver. There is never a dull moment with lines sometimes stretched around the block. So there you have it. Give it a try if you are a first timer. The only requirement is that you have a sweet tooth that cannot be erased. Cheers!
google avatar

Molly W.

Yelp
Delicious evening snack! We went on a weekday and there wasn't a line, no customers sitting in the store, and they had almost every single flavor in stock. It sucks when you go to a bakery later in the day and the assortment is minimal. I'm a cake doughnut girl myself and they were delicious, I just wish they had more options! I can't say that voodoo is necessarily worth all the hype, but hey.. the doughnuts are good.
google avatar

Steph Q.

Yelp
I've never been to Portland, so I can't compare this location to the original, but I will say these are probably the best vegan donuts I have ever consumed. This is especially notable for the fact that every single donut that I tried was extremely moist, which is a testament to the baking process here. Being the mile high city, the high elevation makes it extremely difficult to bake consistent goods, so I was highly impressed. I ordered the dozen vegan donuts, pick up was very easy, and street parking was abundant. The staff had it ready to go at the time they said it would be ready, even though I was half an hour to closing, so I deeply appreciated it. Since it was late at night, we did get a bit of redundancies, but my standouts were: 1) The Apple fritter which was literally perfect, 10/10, no notes. They weren't too sweet and had these perfect chunks of apple that were bit soggy and it had perfect cinnamon flavor. It is a treat that is completely satisfying to eat from start to finish. 2) The voodoo doughnut, which was a fun little jelly filled guy, 3) The Boston cream donut, perfectly sized, great proportion of filling to dough. I have eaten vegan baked goods all around the country and I will dream about that apple fritter until the day that I can visit a Voodoo Doughnut location again.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Every once in a while I have to dive back in to the sugary ridiculousness that is voodoo doughnut. This time around they got me with their 'limited edition' banana cream pie doughnut. I mean this doughnut was everything I wanted. My favorite dessert but I don't have to use a utensil. If they keep this on the menu it'll be very dangerous for my wallet and waist. I tried some other classic options (hibiscus, mango tango) but overall the sugar blast is harsh on my tastebuds. I'd definitely prepare for a sugar rush and then coma after eating one of these.
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
Super cute donut shop on Broadway street! Person behind counter was so nice and helpful! They have a cute rotating display where you can see all the donuts and flavors!

Christi D.

Yelp
On Saturday, November 23, I had a friend bring me a doughnut I wasn't feeling well and she brought it to my door. When she left, I opened it. It was one white powdered doughnut. I took a bite out of it, and the whole thing was hard and crumbled????? I called voodoo and telling them hey you might want to look at your donuts check them out, especially the powdered ones and pull them I experienced a doughnut powdered doughnut should be soft or any donut soft when you bite into it The guy who's working on Saturday, November 20 at 1 o'clock who answered the phone said .... And I quote ... In a very snippy tone drone no carring voice, like, not my donuts !!! Said...mmmmm hhhm? Well thanks for saying. I said that's it? No I'm sorry or how can we make it better for you and he hung up on me :( This is the customer service nowadays, but that's OK. There's a beautiful donut shop down the street for me on Lincoln where I live because I live behind voodoo donuts I won't go there anymore. And I will tell people the rudeness that is behind the counter But honestly, I don't think it makes a difference anymore nowadays All I can do is go down to the street here and enjoy nice fresh donuts on first and Lincoln
google avatar

Yelp
This is the second Voodoo Doughnut location for Denver and also putting me at about half as far as paying a visit to all of their locations. I have kind of moved passed the more elaborate doughnuts with jelly filled Voodoo doll shaped features but really get into the more basic ones like powdered sugar and a favorite the Ring of Fire which is like a devil's food doughnut with peppered kick. This location was pretty slow and I was able to place my order right away as there was no line. I don't think I've been this fortunate since paying a visit to their Eugene, Oregon location. Not sure if it's like this all the time but it definitely was refreshing!
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
Y'all already know this place has amazing gourmet donuts. Awesome decor, great customer service. I only go on weekdays to avoid the crowds, I've heard the weekends can be insane but have not experienced it myself.
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
Everyone deserves a delicious donut and this spot hits the spot. Michael and his wonderful crew will take care of you and no matter what donut you choose you cannot go wrong. Great hospitality and deliciousness has earned this spot my award for favorite business on Broadway. Go, yum!
google avatar

Carlos D.

Yelp
Great donuts! They have a ton of selections. My top favorites were maple bar and the dirt!
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
We visited a Voodoo Doughnut at Universal and were soured by the incredibly long line just to get a donut. We didn't encounter that problem at the Voodoo Doughnut in Denver. There was no line and they even have a decent sized sitting area. The donuts are fresh and there are so many unusual options to choose from. Voodoo Doughnut is definitely not your typical donut. Spot on for a fun different donut.
google avatar

Christopher E.

Yelp
Ordered here both online and in person. Overall, great customer service, friendly staff and clean location. Price is a little more than others but mostly good quality. Maple bar and the Bacon Maple Bar are great. The raised ones are super fluffy and delicious but some are a little too sweet. Haven't tried the filled ones yet. However, It never fails that the chocolate old fashioned doughnuts are BARELY dipped in chocolate! Added what I got versus what's advertised. Otherwise they'd get a higher score.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
I would love to give them a 5 star but no matter the time of day we go in there, there is always just one gal running the register. I'm not sure if they need more help or if they just like to make people wait 30 mins for one donut. Faster service would be better for a 5 star review. But all the donuts are AMAZING!! Haven't had a bad one yet. We love them and visit both locations on the regular.
google avatar

Richard C.

Yelp
Voodoo dozen donuts. Great variety and they are all great. I'm looking forward to going back.

The doughnuts are just okay. Nothing spectacular but at least their open late so you can satisfy a sweet craving on a late night. I just wish fresh or warm was an option. Good customer service, they stay busy so don't take it personal that there isn't a lot of conversation. The atmosphere is live and energetic.

Yelp
I don't get the hype of voodoo donuts ‍ They were nothing special (in my opinion) I went with 2 stars because we purchased 5 kinds of donuts and 2 of the 5 were good. I had an old fashion and it was so dry and lacked flavor (and ingredients... where is the chocolate on top?) We also had a sprinkle cake donut which tasted stale, if I didn't know better I'd think it had been sitting out since yesterday (but yesterday was Christmas and they were closed so clearly it was made today) My mom had a maple bar and said it was good, and we also liked the blueberry donut. On a more positive note... The place was cute, and clean and the employees were very nice and helpful.
