Delhi 6 Thali
Vrindavan (like many other all you can eat food places) is a vegetarian ONLY Thali place, which means you'll have an assortment of dishes on your plate to try and the refills are unlimited. They have 3 different types of Thali's that are available on different days of the week (Monday's are off) and all have a particular signature dish. The ambiance is chic with a flower theme and bright colors. The place is big enough to accommodate bigger parties along with ample parking space.
We tried out this place on a Sunday evening and they had the Delhi 6 Thali for the day. We got in relatively early so the place was empty with only a few tables occupied (this place does fill up pretty quickly with long wait times). The thali typically has around 15+ different food choices to try; at our time of visit, and this is going to be a mouthful, about 4 different Vegetable curries, 2 Dal's, 2 different sweets, Kadi, Rice, Salad, home style Pulkha Roti, Poori, Chaas (butter milk), Dahi Vada, Makhmali Kabab, Vegetable Pakoda, Khichdi with a few chutneys.(the portion size is extremely small, this is intentional so that there is no food wasted, and moreover, there is unlimited refills)
Taste wise, this leans towards traditional Indian food, so you won't be blown away with spice or flavor, but there's a subtle hint of home style cooked food and authentic mild punch, with great texture. The food was fresh, the roti and poori were great, the kabab and pokara were fantastic and the Khichdi reminded me of home. The Choley Poori (which was the signature dish for this Thali) tasted yum. Not every dish they serve is great and thus the portion size. The service was quick (since it was empty at our time) and they have microphones to let the other servers know about a dish that you want. The price of Thali over the weekend is a little steep ($23.99) and they tack on 15% gratuity (not sure why this is the norm over here, anyways, service-wise, we didn't have any complaints, else this wouldn't be justified).
Vrindavan is an experience, with it's unlimited Thali, to the service, to the food. All you can eat places are an overall value for money, most of the times, and this restaurant has the ingredients to champion that statement. The ambiance is modern yet grounded, the place feels airy and the service was quick. The quantity of food served here is no joke and everything felt fresh and delicious. I'd surely visit this restaurant to try out the other two thalis. Overall, a must try restaurant for all the Thali lovers.
