Don't buy meat here. Bought ground chicken and ground turkey and it was bad. They did refund my purchase, so i rebought more ground turkey with an even later sell by date and it was still bad. They clearly didn't check their supply after the first time i went back to get a refund.

I would have not written a review if the manager of store didn’t lie to me and consumers about the products freshness! Couple of weeks ago I bought cheese with cranberries for $1.99 with label “sell by” may 2024. I tasted the cheese and almost threw up. I take the label off and I see that cheese had an original stamp use by label June 2020. THIS CHEESE IS 3 YEARS AS EXPIRED! I went to the store and told the manager Scott about it, he said it’s his vendors who did it. Today, December 2nd, I went to the store and It was shocking to see this cheese back on shelf with all stamps and stickers off and now there was a new Vucciria brand sticker one, guess what, with fake extended expiration date!

Cheap, tasty vegies and fruit! Eggs are 69¢ a dozen. Meat that i found is a little more expensive and having fewer options than in other places, but good quality. To demonstrate the prices i am posting an image of what i bought for $16.08 in total (missing for corncobs there).

Always triple check your receipts as the cashier will overcharge you. It seemed like this cashier was newly hired and don't have the proper training. I purchased some produce today, caught the cashier running up the same item twice, which I politely told her about, to which she first acted surprised as if I was lying and have no idea what I was talking about. Once I pointed to the screen, yes, I can see the screen, she called over a co-worker to scan a card to void the duplicate item. I thought that was the end of it but there's more! She proceeds to scan the wrong pricing on another item, asks the same co-worker what the price of the item was and proceeds to add it to the total amount, to which I didn't catch before leaving the store. Produce here can be a hit or miss, always check to see how fresh something is. Their store is spacious and offers a variety of produce and grocery items. Staff can also be a hit or miss, some are willing to help, and some will ignore or look at their phone.

As a regular customer who has shopped here for years, I'm sorely disappointed by how unwelcome the staff now make you feel when shopping. You're stopped at the door, forced to check in your bag, backpack, purse, etc, in an unsecured area outside the store. This leaves the bags at risk of being taken if the single staff member watching the bags is unattentive. Produce is a hit or miss, make sure you check the quality very carefully. As many reviews have stated, sometimes the produce can be in very bad condition. Ensure to check dates of other products very carefully because on rare cases they have expired items. Other reviews have stated this issue. Certain products are security tagged, but not de-sensored when you leave after paying. This also leaves you at risk of having your receipt checked as if you did something wrong, while the supervisor watches. The new policies are awful for honest customers, & I personally will more than likely drastically cut down the amount of times I visit this store. I do not recommend this place unless it's past 9p.m. & you're desperate.

Touche' & kudos to Vucciria for finally having security both inside & out! I've been a lifelong resident of Bensonhurst & have been shopping at Vucciria forever! It bothers me seeing shoplifters inundating this store & local stores while others like myself spend their hard earned money! Sorry for those complaining about not being allowed to shop with backpacks but maybe it's because lowlifes have been robbing them blind! Vucciria's fresh fruits & daily soups are the best & I'd hate to have to stop frequenting this store & others who don't protect their regulars! It's one small step for man & one giant leap for mankind!

Warning!!! Skimming!!! We were in the store yesterday, got fruits and veggies for almost $50. Get to the register and get ready to pay. The front of the card reader falls off and we see the back with the wiring and all. This was a skimmer machine!!! Looked exactly like on the news! The manager comes and tries to put it back on. He questions if we broke it (we did not, we touched it to put the card in) and says they bought covers for the machines. No other machines had the covers on, only the one where we went (the one most people go to). We work in food and tell him the machines come in one piece, no covers. He admits he's seen about the skimmer machines on the news. Then why would you try to put it back and make excuses?!? As we leave we tell him not to put it back, this is a skimmer machine! Warning!!! Skimming!!!

DO NOT BUY DAIRY HERE!!! Used to be my favorite supermarket in the area until I purchased a Mozzarella cheese. I honestly didn’t check the date since the cheese was going to be eaten for dinner that same day. When I got home and opened the bag, THERE WAS MOLD INSIDE!!!I It was in between all the cheese so I obviously didn’t see it through the packaging when I first pick it. If it wasn’t because I was planning to use the whole bag that day I wouldn’t have noticed and my family would’ve probably ate some moldy cheese. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I don’t think the refrigerators are kept on all the time, maybe turn off at night to save energy?DO NOT BUY DAIRY HERE!
