TLC Is In The H.

As Amex platinum charge card members, we came without any expectations.
TL;DR: Our meal turned out to be a reasonably novel experience though not one that earns a place on our return list.
So from the get-go, the 9+ marbling wagyu steak was a clear 'misrepresentation'. That signature lace-like intramuscular marbling was absent, and the texture was noticeably chewy. Our palettes are discerning enough not to be misled and we didn't appreciate what felt like a deception with the grading.
On the other hand, the scallops were a standout, a superb composition that balanced the savory, smoky notes beautifully against the sweet corn sauce.
Beyond some shavings of winter truffle, bits of umi and caviar that added a sense of occasion, the meal felt like a passable one-off. Sadly, the issue with the meat grade dampened our curiosity about a return visit.
As for the view, it’s one easily replicated from numerous tall buildings around the CBD though that may simply be our jaded perspective. We're a tad blasé.
But hey, aren't we ultimately here first and foremost for quality nosh?
YMMV.
