Vui's Kitchen - Berry Hill

Much like the cafe that the owners also own next door, this place has a bunch of really good options. I recently had the pho from this place, and it is every as bit of good, if not better than a lot of pho that I've had. I got it to go because the store was about to close, but the owners running the places were so nice and caring. Great people, great atmosphere, and great options. Will definitely be going again!

The food is always fresh and full of flavor!! Staff is always helpful and friendly. I ordered the beef tacos, that’s my favorite from here. The Bao buns are good too!

I love Vui's. This is the third location I've eaten at and the are all consistently good. Here I had Sticky Wings and Thai Shrimp Skewers and was a happy Glenn eating yummy grub. Grab a Banh Mi. Est some Pho. The Pork Belly Bao Buns are the bomb. Here's the Breakdown: Fantastic food served by happy folks in a comfy place +5 stars. I think I might go again today.

Stopped here ahead of going to the movies to watch fantastic four. The service was good and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the chickenbrown rice bowl and had the edamame steamed dumplings. All were phenomenal at a very reasonable price. The restaurant doesnt have alot of seating but does have some outdoor options to make up for the more intimate environment. Overall, a great experience and would visit again

Absolutely wonderful! We have the vegan pho and tofu bao buns and both had amazing rich and bright flavors. There is also a second buliding where you can get fresh juice or a smoothie. It’s a perfect are to reset and refuel with some amazing quality and delicious goodies!

This is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants. We get carry out from here at least once a week. The ingredients are insanely fresh, and I honestly don’t understand how the prices are as low as they are given the quality of their food. This is quite possibly one of our favorite places in Nashville and I still like to think it’s a hidden job, but it’s definitely catching on!!

I absolutely adore Vui’s Kitchen Berry Hill. It is absolutely the best location in Nashville. The vibes are cozy, the playlist is hopping, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic. The chicken bowl is my favorite healthy Asian meal in town. I like to get the creamy citrus dressing instead, and add sesame seeds, and a side of gluten-free soy sauce. The chile lime dressing it comes with is awesome too. I grabbed a Thai Tea and went next-door to hang at Vui’s Juice Cafe after!! Best cafe patio in town. Peaceful and magical vibrations here off Studio Row….

The food was amazing as always. I will say that the various locations have varying portion sizes to some of the dishes. No biggie, it’s always good. It was just a little more belly than pork on my pork belly rice bowl that I’m used to. 😆It was much thinner and fattier than the last several times I have ordered from Hunter’s Station spot. Will still return and recommend highly to everyone I know! Aldo, it was kinda chilly inside. Brrrr!

This is my first time at Vui kitchen the food was good the place is clean ,the employee are very nice. I will eat at Vui Kitchen again. My husband brought me here he has eaten there before. If you are in the neighborhood come by you will like the food etc.

Time and time again, Vui's has surpassed my expectations. Amazing every single time and I crave it constantly! The shrimp pho or the bowl are my go-to. The pho broth is flavorful and the vegetables are fresh. The bowl has the most exquisite grilled shrimp. My only small criticism is the drink selection: no Coke OR Pepsi products. There is both indoor and outdoor which I love and sitting outside with my pho on a cloudy day is the perfect combo. I even drove out during a snow storm to eat their pho because it was all I was thinking about! You absolutely must try Vui's!

Vui's is such a go-to for me. It's delicious, pretty healthy, not unreasonably priced, and gives a good sized meal. They're also always SO quick to get your order out. I've done everything from dine-in, to takeout, to delivery at Vui's, and it always hits. I will HIGHLY recommend their vermicelli noodle bowl with chicken (the chicken is so flavorful, there are a ton of veggies, and the peanuts and crispy onions add a perfect crunch), and I usually ask for the soy-lime dressing instead of the chile-lime dressing. But both are good! Their tofu is also super great and tender and packed full of flavor. Their rice bowl is essentially the same but with rice, and so on. If you don't like spice, ask for the creamy citrus dressing (it's also delicious). They also have great pho! The meals are always big portions, and SUPER fresh and tasty.

I'm Vietnamese so I think I can say whoever Vui is, she must not be very proud of Vietnamese cuisine. This is not Vietnamese food, it's not even close - and it's not even good whatever the heck you wanna call it. I don't put too much stock in authenticity, but the reason the real stuff is famous is because it's just really good - something that the favorless bowls emanating from this abyss doesn't even hint at. The pho is like straight Swanson's broth poured on overcooked goop-noodles with a bunch of green onions on top; I've never seen tiny strips of sirloin over beef "pho". They still overcharge for this rubbish at $15 a bowl for "beef pho"! For their fresh offerings of rice and noodle bowls - some of my favorite. Noodles are overcooked and infantilized. The fish sauce tastes like water down ketchup. And they somehow manage to burn the meat but not have any hint of smokiness in the flavor! Best thing about this place is the restroom, which is cleaner than average to their credit. I wish they spent as much time flavoring their food as they do cleaning their bathroom... Yes, there's a reason you see no Asians in this place: we don't want to be associated with this kind of food. If you've never had pho before, please, please skip this place so it can (metaphorically) die the death it properly deserves.

Definitely not recommend. Pho broth is very watered down and zero taste. Also ordered 3 chicken tacos. Zero flavor as well. Starry pop choice was out as well and notified staff, when never changed it during our visit. Disappointing.

I don't know why this place doesn't have more stars! I got the noodle bowl and it was awesome. Needed more sauce but I got extra for my spring rolls and used that there and it was great. My husband got the banh mi, and didn't like it as much, but he's not as into Vietnamese as I am anyways. Fun place, too hot to sit outside, but looked awesome!

I ordered the pho ga. Whatever that was, was NOT pho ga. There was barely enough broth to cover the noodles. Super stingy. Also, the noodles were VERY over cooked. They broke when I tried to pick them up with my chopsticks. The broth was more of a chicken noodle soup base than a pho broth. Very Americanized. I see this place has good reviews. So, maybe this experience was just a one off? Idk, but I'm new to Nashville and I am really hoping this is not the bar set for Vietnamese food here. Very disappointed.

This place is always amazing! The food comes out quickly, and the meat is super tender and flavorful. Also, the toppings are very fresh. I love to sit on the patio when I come here because it is the perfect place to sun bathe and enjoy a good meal.

I finally wrote a review for Vui's after years of regularly dining here! Vui's is my go to place because it is only 3 minutes drive from my work and I can order ahead without waiting in line. My favorite is everything pork belly like Banh Mi, Bao Bun, rice bowl, salad bowl with extra pork belly, chili lime sauce and creamy citrus sauce. Sticky wings are good as well. If you like Vietnamese coffee, don't forget to grab some. Vui's is more than a restaurant for me. After a long day at work, I normally come here. The food and the atmosphere in the restaurant comfort me. I had to work on Easter this year and Vui's was the only restaurant around that opened until 9pm! Without Vui's, it would be hard on a rough day at work or on a holiday. Thank you for serving good food to the community. I love your juice bar too! Ps. Salad Bowl has raw cabbage in it. I am not a fan of raw green cabbage but it can be substitute with something else though :)

Holy cow. I've never had Vietnamese food before. After hitting up the spot, maybe that's all I'll ever eat. First, the staff is fast and friendly and happy to explain what the dishes are to newbies like me. While parking can be competitive at prime times, there is plenty of seating, both inside and out. In addition, the vibe is super chill and relaxing. I had the wings and buns with tofu. I've pretty much only thought about these dishes since I left the restaurant a few days ago. Cannot wait to back.

We got Vui's take out, overall it was very good. All the ingredients were fresh and high quality. The edamame dumplings were my favorite thing we tried, some other reviewers said they were too salty but I didn't think so! The beef pho was very good, portion size was a little smaller than other pho places I've tried and I will agree with some others who said it does not have the deep pho flavor as some other pho places but we still enjoyed it! Plenty of noodles and veggies, not enough beef though. The summer rolls were tasty but also on the smaller side. Overall it's a yummy pho place, portion sizes were small but everything was fresh!

Blah...disappointing. I have been to the Vui's in Nolensville which was better even though the same. I tried the Mahi-Mahi salad and it had a lot to be desired. The fish was like frozen and thrown on to heat up. It was hard on the edges and not like good crispy but nasty. I don't recommend this new dish what-so-ever and stick to their bowls/soups. The Bao buns also were not expected as to what I have had before. We came here because we didn't want to stand in the line for Baja Burrito across the street. We should have stayed in line...this one was a disappointment (especially for this area).

NOT GOOD PHO AT ALL NO TASTE IN BROTH AND SOUP ITS SELF NOT GOOD ! Also very dirty and have flies roaming in on when you eat and on your food , windows, tables,chairs and glancing over to the kitchen is just disgusting no good hygiene in their... Not Vietnamese pho at all.

A few of us ordered their beef pho and none of us liked it. Their meat looks disgusting and the pho barely has any flavor. The place is nice and clean and their service is pretty good too, but that won't bring be back here again.

What a nice lunch. Sitting outside in this great coolish weather. I had a vegan noodle bowl and it was delicious. The service was good. She helped me decide on the dressing and they were quick on the food getting to us. What a fun place.

Bahn mi and taco both with seared pork belly are probably among the best things I've ever eaten. And I'm a chef.

What a quaint spot for some pho on a cold, dark night. The highlight for me is the pork belly banh mi. An altogether amazing sandwich. Not made with a traditional light, crisp baguette bread and tangy pickled carrot and daikon, this sandwich has a really hearty grain bun with a healthy portion of pork and veg. Light carrot and daikon with veg. This is a 5 star sandwich. The beef pho is ok. Served fast food style with chopped basil and sprouts included, rather than plated on the side, this pho is a basic beef broth that lacks the depth of flavor of a traditional pho. The sweet undertones from cinnamon and star anise just aren't there. If it were, this would probably be a $20 bowl instead of $12. As expected, but not the rich flavors of a traditional pho. Noticed they have a soup sandwich combo which is a brilliant idea and undoubtedly a great value.

No. I get pho at least 3x a week and I travel across the USA/world for work and fun (CA, TX, NC, AR, AZ, Mx, and UT in the last few months alone). This isn't pho. At least the takeout version wasn't- can't vouch for the dine in version. The broth is wrong and too little of it to the noodle/topping ratio. And arrived too cold to cook the steak even though my delivery guy delivered it 10 mins after it was wrapped. The flavor was off and the broth was cloudy. The beef was cut super thick to where the steak doesn't get cooked through with soup that is even hot enough. The broth tasted like beef broth from a can. Just... worst pho experience out of the last 50+ pho bowls, no exaggeration.

boa buns are not worth it. Original Pho is alright. Beef tasted kind of funny. low quality. Service was fine. Atmosphere was normal for fast food pho. It's a one-timer for me, but the broth was good.

Really cool fast casual spot in Berry Hill with some indoor and a lot of outdoor seating with string lights setup. Employees were all great when we ordered, and it only took about 10 minutes for our food to come out to our table. The food: Pork Belly Bahn Mi: My sandwich was pretty big and full of pork belly which was great. Fair warning it comes with jalapeño so if you aren't a fan of spicy ask for that to be kept off. The bread was good but nothing that will blow your mind. Pork Belly Bao Buns: These were a real treat. Small, decadent, and pack a big punch for 3-4 bites before you're done with them. I'd recommend getting them and splitting them so you end up each trying one. Overall, really happy we tried Vuis and I imagine we will be back in the not so distant future :)

DISCONNECT As a Vietnamese-American, I do not claim to have some superior view of pho yet this place was nowhere close. I'd call it Asian-fusion at best. The broth did not nearly resemble or taste like a basic pho broth and the meat was cut into tiny strips instead of slices where the rare meat cooks in the hot broth which frankly, does not make it pho. The spring roll was pre-made and rice paper was hardened and almost inedible. If you are going for pho, there are more authentic places to find and if this is something to pass time, I suppose this can suffice. Pros: Staff were warm and friendly to guests.

If you want authentic pho, stay away. The beef pho was blah... broth was sour! Beef was a little bits almost like minced. Wings were flavorful but cold.

First and foremost I just want to say I love coming here for lunch. All the great fresh options at a fair price. However......today was different. I put in my online order for my lunch and in my head I marked it for 11.15 and on the website I picked the pick up time of 11.30am. I arrive at 11.05. I am standing there waiting...and the young lady asked me have I ordered and I said yes online. She asked my name ...I gave it to her and I hear talking in the kitchen...first thing I think is that placed my order at another store by mistake. Another young lady walks up to me and says you place your order for 11.30 am and I said oh that is fine I can wait. She hurry's on back and they get my lunch order out quickly. That is customer service....that is treating your customers like family. She could have said we will try to get to your order as soon as possible but you might have to wait 10 mins and I have have been 100% fine with that. It was my bone head mistake. have you seen Vui's during lunch... it gets packed fast. I just want to say thank you to the entire staff. Thank you for treating all of your customers so kindly.

This is a good consistent place. My teens love the pork buns. It has simple menu and is always good and affordable

I guess if you're tired of the same ol' BBQ in Nashville, this is some much-needed variety, but it's also fairly mediocre. While the chicken pho was solid and comforting, the shrimp spring rolls were like cold little fingers, with hardly any shrimp in them. An easy spot for a quick meal though, and a good dose of indoor and outdoor seating.

Literally the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had. It's not authentic in the slightest. The presentation of the food was nice. The ambiance of the place was nice. But the food was truly really bad.

I wanted to love this place! Pho is definitely one of my favorite meals on a chilly day. When you walk in, you're greeted by delicious smells. We ordered a beef pho, spring rolls, and noodles with pork belly. The spring rolls were a bit small and seemed like they had been made a bit ago. Still tasty and the sauce was great. The noodles with pork belly were ok; the pork belly was quite fatty. The beef pho didn't have the umami you'd expect from pho broth. I also didn't love that I couldn't add the condiments that I'd like since they were all thrown in beforehand.

Strangest pho experience I've had. I ordered the veggie pho and the bowl was mostly filled with mushrooms. There weren't any other veggies. The pho comes pre dressed with basil and bean sprouts. My kids had chicken pho and they ate some of it. Their pho also included the basil and bean sprouts already in their soup. I also ordered the fresh spring rolls and the sauce was very sweet, maybe it was hoisin sauce or American BBQ sauce. My husband ordered a sandwich. The sandwich was on a hoagie roll. The meat in the sandwich was American BBQ style. I was expecting to eat Vietnamese food when we visited but I would describe their food as American.

Food was delicious, service was friendly and fast. Clean, bright and comfortable. I look forward to trying more items. I ordered noodle bowl with beef.

Paid almost 15 dollars for a "large pho" Got it home to find a small container of broth. The 2nd container had merely a few ounces of shredded dry chicken with the rest of the accompaniments. The pho was delicious! Credit due! But the portion was unfair for the money and will leave you unsatisfied unless you are a young child. Cutting costs at the expense of your customer and your product is not a path to success. No matter how much profit you make. You lose. And I'm still hungry.

It was probably the worst pho I've had in my life. I wasn't expecting much since I was in Nashville, but it was truly so bland. No amount of hoisin sauce could fix the flavor, and they didn't give much broth either. The store itself was really cute, but I would never come back.

The only place we look forward for wonderful time and a fulfilling meal. Their Pho is to die for. My wife being a vegetarian, Its hard to fin d a Vietnamese restaurant that specifically does vegetarian Pho with vegetable broth and whola Vu's kitchen is the answer. Their Noodle bowl is another highlight we love. Can not go wrong with any options on their menu. Definitely everyone should try this place out. Winter is around the corner and make best use of their outdoor seating with a park like vibe and Yes, its pet friendly for outdoor seating as well :)

I have gotten a Banh Mi sandwich here before and thought it was great. IT's been a while. Not sure what has changed but it seems the bread has, but I may be wrong. A real Banh mi is on French bread. This was not french bread. For the price you think it would be. For less than half the price you can go the Asian market on the corner of Nolensville and Polk and get one on French Bread that is awesome. In addition, it was greasy. Very greasy. Very Disappointed.

The Pho is always scrumptious. Service was good, it was just hot on the inside of the building but I'm assuming the air was struggling to catch up with the sudden 100 degree weather.

We were starving and really craving some pho and decided to stop by this restaurant. The pho was alright, but it probably tasted better because I was so hungry. The broth wasn't as flavourful as some of the more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area, and there wasn't a lot of meat or other toppings. The restaurant itself is small so there isnt a lot of seating, especially during busy hours and the parking lot is even smaller. It seems to be more of a grab and go kind of restaurant. The food is ok if you're in a pinch and not looking to drive somewhere else, but there are definitely better and more authentic places for pho in Nashville.

The Pho was great, the service was fast and friendly, and the entire food hall was super clean! Would recommend, especially if you're traveling with a group.

Vui's used to be one of the best places to eat in Nashville. Portions were great, tasted great. Now they've shrunk their portions, increased the prices and it's a shame. The coconut pudding cup shine I to a 1/4 of its size. Same price. After years and years of going here I can no longer afford to take my friends out to dinner. Sorry guys, but no more.

Let's preface this by reminding ourselves we are in Nashville. I haven't seen more than 2 people of any Asian ethnicity, much less any specifically Vietnamese, in the last 7 days. That said, Vui's is as close to authentic Vietnamese food, as I think one can possibly find this far north of the West Bank of New Orleans. We had 1. banh mi (sandwich) with steak, 2. pho (beef broth and noodles) with beef, 3. salad with pork belly, 4. goi cuon (fresh summer rolls in rice paper wrap), and 5. bun (rice noodles) with chicken and veggies. 6. Avocado shake Almost all the ingredients were correctly presented, very fresh, and there was good flavor. It's just that I've lived for more than 25 years in US cities with huge Vietnamese populations, and this only ends up making me notice all the subtle differences. The flavor of the pho broth was on the milder side- not as richly nuanced as a stock that has been simmering for 24 hrs. The beef in the pho was a big, already-boiled-unsliced wad, instead of millimeter thin, raw slices which should cook quickly in a boiling hot broth at the table. The plate of basil, sprouts and chili slices that usually accompanies pho was missing too. The sandwich tasted great, and the bread and meat quality were really good. In the salad, instead of bean sprouts, there was cabbage? Still, the 2 thick pork belly strips atop the veggies were perfectly cooked, rich and tender with a delicious layer of fat. The dressing was a tasty blend of sesame, sugar and vinegar. But I couldn't detect a single drop of the requisite fish sauce. As for the steak banh mi- it was delicious with perfectly crispy and soft bread with marinated radish, carrots and chili peppers that packed a punch. The summer roll contents were right, but they looked like they had been wrapped by either 6 year olds or inexperienced staff. They were too small, not full enough, and highly irregular and pinched on the ends. But if you closed your eyes, they tasted just fine. Lastly the avocado shake was too thick for regular straws and came in an airline-sized plastic cup . Typical Vietnamese shakes come with thick straws to handle the boba and thick blend, and this shake was denser than normal. Which is good, because it probably wasn't made from a prepackaged mix, but bad because it ate more like a pudding. The lovely outdoor picnic tables in the shade made it a lovely spot for our afternoon meal. I am giving 5 stars to support an under-appreciated cuisine striving to improve the city's culinary diversity.

This is the original restaurant opened by John and Vui Hunt, one of four locations in Middle Tennessee now constituting a local chain of stellar Vietnamese cuisine. It was established by the couple after previously delving into the juice bar business. On a pleasant spring day, we sat at picnic tables under large red shade sails high above, with beautiful smells wafting from the kitchen and chatty patrons at all tables. Even Vui herself picked up our dishes and conversed with us, a co-owner of restaurants in 12 states who isn't above bussing tables and checking on customers. Berry Hill is a small enclave within Nashville, a tiny city with an area only four times the square footage of America's largest mall. But within this minuscule 0.9-square-mile, predominantly industrial region lies no fewer than 10 of Nashville's greatest restaurants, a city where you can't go wrong for lunch. Vui's Kitchen prominently sits at the strategic intersection of Bransford and Heather, welcoming motorists into this small neighborhood of charming little homes, many of which have been converted to music studios and eateries. It is here that one can enjoy authentic Vietnamese delights reminiscent of the cuisine I've enjoyed during my visits to Vietnam. This is the real deal. The original phở, the most well known of all Vietnamese dishes, is brilliantly refreshing with thinly-shaved slices of high quality beef in a bone broth simmered for 12 hours. These are NOT those noticeably tough, flavorless, cheap cuts of meat that are pawned off on patrons at many restaurants. This is like eating steak in a flavorful soup with an abundance of rice noodles and bean sprouts. From the complexity of the cilantro and Thai basil to the subtle heat of jalapeños and sriracha, Vui's simply nails the perfect phở. The appetizers are just as tremendous. You MUST order the pork belly bao buns, two small, open-faced sandwiches with unbelievably tender and succulent pork belly piled high on chewy lotus leaf bread. This was the highlight of the meal! The shrimp summer rolls are also good, with lemongrass shrimp and veggies wrapped in chewy rice paper with one of the better peanut sauces I've had. Speaking of sandwiches, Vui's also makes one of my favorite Vietnamese foods, the bánh mì sandwich, for which I must return. This is an ideal lunch for any fan of Southeast Asian cuisine!

A quick takeout for me, which appeared to be most of their business, but I would note that they had a very nice space with an outdoor picnic area as well. I was happy that my noodle bowl had options to customize it, adding things, leaving things off. The portion size I wasn't overwhelmed by, but the freshly seared tofu did have plenty of flavor, and the mix of noodles and crisp veggies delivered a rounded meal. I fall short of being impressed, but as a fast casual Vietnamese place, they got the job done just fine.

I have eaten here many times. It's time for a real Yelp review of this place! This place is great. Apparently, I keep coming back. It is lunch counter style service, you order inside, and on nice days you can eat outside. There is nice inside dining room too!! Today was an especially beautiful day, so the outside area was much appreciated! Today for lunch was Pork Belly Bao, Shrimp Summer Rolls, and Vui's Bone broth Pho. All were delicious! One of my favorite work break lunch spots!

Consistent unbelievable food. Simple menu great service. Everybody's got a smile. Price is a great the best pho I've had in Tennessee.

Don't let the outside throw you off. The food was awesome! They even made a special order of plain noodles for my super picky son. If you're on your way into Nashville or in the area, be sure to stop in here for some yummy food.

6 months ago it would have gotten a 5 star. The food is still great but the amount of toppings has completely decreased. I ordered a steak pho bowl and there are so few pieces of steak in here. Not much of the other stuff either. Plus they have increased the prices. Bummer. For the price I probably won't be back.

Closed early, refused service to both me and Uber eats that arrived. Why does everywhere in Nashville close before stated time? Change you're time if you won't stay open !

I think is the best pho I've have ever tried in TN, nice stuff, kind of small in the inside but you can always order to go.
