Denver’s Waffle Brothers to bring fried chicken and sweet treats to the westside - Eater Vegas

"A Las Vegas local and a Sydney, Australia, ex-pat have been serving Belgian waffles in Denver since 2010, and are now one restaurant closer their dream of bringing their sweet and savory menu to the Strip. John Power and Rod Dupen, the self-styled namesake Waffle Brothers, are on track to debut their first Las Vegas outpost this summer. Operating two Denver locations, the casual restaurant specialty is Liège waffles, prepared as a breakfast dish with eggs, fruit and meat, plus chicken and waffles served as sandwiches or with butter and syrup. Sweet creations are topped with options including marshmallow cream cheese, Nutella, and raspberry cheesecake swirl, plus lemon and blueberry Zingers, and tiramisu combinations, and the “Full Monty,” finished with cinnamon and powdered sugars and whipped cream." - Bradley Martin

Our first time visiting this restaurant and we will definitely be going back! A winner for all of our senses!! Awesome atmosphere, sensational smelling, visually stimulating, kind and outgoing staff, plus the food presentation was great and tasted delisH. We highly recommend Waffle Brothers 😁

The food is mediocre. It is definitely overrated. The waffles were dark, eggs flat and fried hard. The toppings made the waffle good. Don’t expect service from the business. You pay and tip before you sit down, if you decide to dine in.

I had an amazing experience at waffle bros, from the service to the food! The whole staff was super friendly & help me find the right waffle for me! I really enjoyed the food, I had the razzle dazzle waffle & I would recommend it to any who loves fruit. I also love how they have vegan & vegetarian options! This is now my favorite breakfast/brunch stop.

I discovered this place via a church newsletter after a Sunday mass. I was hopeful. Okay here it is. 1. You don’t get to sit and wait to order. You need to queue to place your order by the counter. 2. When ordering, you get charged extra for each little piece like a bacon strip is $2.25, etc so it’s not like a breakfast plate is $14.+, you get charged for a piece of meat each time. 3. Then get a big card game, sit down, and get ready to WAIT….15 mins later.. still waiting… 30 mins later still waiting.. no coffee no water no nothing but just waiting :( 4.Finally, food came.. no coffee.. lady clarified which coffee was ordered and 5 mins later, coffee came at last! 5.Food- my first reaction was “oh okay”…then silence. It’s our first time dining there and if you’re like me always wondering how is this place different from the others then prepare to get disappointed. Photos of food looked good but in real life it’s… not. Waffle is limp and stale. Chicken is dry and cold, bacon is too salty and chewy. Eggs are well eggs I’d walk out if they got that wrong!, sausage was maybe from Kroger. I like Kroger so that was good, coffee? I wish they do it like McDonalds at least… 6.Price/value for money- I paid $80+ inc tip. For what its worth, I never learned. I am such a “let’s try something new person “ and then I get disappointed and decide that’ll be the first and last. I suppose I learned not to put this food joint another try. 7.overall, we came as first timers full of good expectations and left feeling frustrated and disappointed. That’s awful no? It would have been nice to talk of how good the food was and plan when we’re coming back. But such is not the case rather, we all agreed that was it! I believe in individuality so I asked my family how they would rate their experience and in unison they were like1,2,3. I thought that was funny! My husband said it’s ok he gave it 3, my mom said I just had to eat cause it’s food and you paid for it. She gave it 1. My daughter scored it 2 cause of the “discount”, so I gave it back to the bloke on the till who claimed to be doing the job the first time. (Took a while before he got our orders right.) 8.The verdict- No I don’t recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. I would go Egg and I or iHop, or Omelette House (yet to write my reviews on them places). It’s strange how I would be so keen to flag a review when I don’t get my money’s worth on an experience and not so keen to review when I do. Perhaps I feel the need to warn people somehow. We did not get to try the sweet looking waffles though so them may be a different story. Thanks for reading, sorry it’s long.I hope I helped you a bit on your decision whatever it may be. Hopefully as well that you’re luckier than I. Have a good eat. Be blessed x

From the moment you can automatically smell the deliciousness being prepared! From sweet to savory this spot has you covered! They use only the freshest fruit and the hand crafted fruit dips are AMAZING! It doesn’t stop there! The Belgium waffle is made with secret ingredients straight from Belgium so they hit way different than a regular waffle. The chicken is the best in town hands down. Perfectly coated and juicy every time! Try the home made strip dips with these bad boys all of the flavors are unique and there own. You can’t go wrong here. A++

I won't say 5 star unless a place truly merits it. Let me tell you, it's safe to say these guys will be receiving plenty of 5 star reviews. Clean, welcoming environment with some of the friendliest staff I've met but that's not the half of it. The food!! Omg, the Food. This is Comfort at its best. The Chicken! The Waffles! The Chicken and Waffles!! Don't know what the secret recipe is but it's magic. Go to this place asap, it's a must have. Ebjoy!

The way Waffle Brothers combine the crispy, savory chicken with the softness of the sweet waffle is a perfect balance of taste and textures!! Wasn’t a fan of this dish until I tried it at Waffle Brothers!! Add their homemade sauces and great service, it keeps us coming back for more!!!

We found this place through Keith Lee’s TikTok and we were not disappointed at all. I love chicken strips and these were the best I have ever had. We enjoyed each of the four waffles with the amazing refreshing flavors. The cherry bomb was our favorite. We are only in town for three days and we are returning today for our second helping! Such an amazing joint!
