Love their ramen. Chili calamari was really good. Apple, mango, pineapple juice was refreshing as well. Service was a bit down since we waited for our server for a while.

It was a spur of the moment decision to celebrate my birthday in Waga Mama Midtown with some friends and I would say it was an excellent choice. From the appetizers to the main dishes I would say that they were all delicious. The service was ver good and the Supervisor, Ernie, was so accommodating and friendly to the customers. We shall return soon!

Great concept, food and service. This is NYC alternative for those looking for something good and healthier. The menu is great and the price is even better. I will def recommend this place to friends and family.

The worst food I’ve ever had in New York City. We ordered Chicken firecracker and chicken pad Thai. There was literally one or two pieces of chicken in the meal, which costed us 23 bucks. Besides, the cocktail was so watery and no alcohol at all. The services was good tho, but still, I would never go to the place again and would rather spend my money on Panda Express than this place.

Really huge restaurant; you can bring a table of 20 at the last minute or a bunch of 7 feet tall basketball players (ceiling is 2 stories). Great service, excellent food, and terrific value for NYC $30 Restaurant Week Lunch Menu.

OK place. We ordered edamame, tuna tataki, and chicken udon. The food was good but nothing special; my taste buds weren’t particularly impressed. The service was quite slow on a Sunday night, even though the place wasn’t packed. The prices aren’t cheap here either.

First time here after a co-worker in Dallas raved about it. It did not disappoint. The food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I wanted to try something different and this hit the spot! This is my new to go place. Very rarely does a recommendation live up to the hype for me. Wagamama does. Can’t wait to come back!

We love Wagamama! We have been to a few. There are lots of options for dietary restrictions. It is clean. The people are friendly as clean bathrooms. This particular one has bathrooms on the bottom floor. We have the two different boa dishes that are vegan Bang bang cauliflower Katsu curry 3 shots of the immunity booster A balanced juice In case you do not know, Wagamama is accidentally also a juice bar. They have fresh juices that are literally exactly like 2 to 3 ingredients so good for you! And so tasty! The only reason I left a four star for the service is we kind of lost our server. Our server started out really strong, but then suddenly we had two other people taking care of us. We weren't left wanting for anything that's the good news, but it was a little confusing. Everything we ate was outstanding and the service was helpful and efficient! We had sweet potato bao, bang bang cauliflower, and duck ramen. All sooooo good.

Felt the experience was okay. Pan asian which is nice. A little bit of everything but idk if anything was done exceptionally well. The crispy rice tuna was good. That was probably our favorite. The Bao was also good The rice dish with steak and shrimp was just okay. The service was good but had to keep asking to get some basics.

I've seen Wagamama's all over the city so we had to stop by for a quick date dinner. Their Asian fusion fries were seasoned perfectly, the perfect combo to dip our ramen broth in. Yes, ramen weather is upon us. The biggest thing to note was their firecracker rice, order extra for the table. You'll thank me later!

Great lunch spot for a delicious bite to eat. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was fantastic. Nice modern looking restaurant and the staff was friendly. My friends ordered the ramen and said it was great. The portion sizes were generous and I could not even finish all of mine.

This was a return visit to Wagamama in Midtown. Our orders for the PM; especially the Mushroom Bao, was incredible. We noticed neighbor diners that had ordered the Ramen. My husband ordered a seafood version. Short answer about food - absolutely delicious; however if you're looking for 'authentic' Asian, Wagamama is more of an approximation. Its menu and palate is accommodating to a global taste. It works well (and I'm of Asian heritage) and in the end, the Wagamama menu is amiable to healthy, rather than authenticity of recipes. In our contemporary climate this means more to me. My only criticism is that even though it was good, the music was a bit loud. Service was terrific and entertaining without being imposing. Cocktails are spectacular - treat yourself and celebrate !

There were no surprises, as the spicy chicken broth with grilled chicken was a great mix, and with some soft noodles, though the chicken could have been spiced up better. The space is big enough to host you and your friends, and there are some good vibes and amazing service from the waitress. This is a great place to start your night out.

I'm so sad that the korean beef bao is gone but I love the food regardless. I never had an issue with the food. I recommend the Tantanmen beef brisket with udon noodles!

Nice place just off the beaten path of Times Square area. Servers were very attentive and friendly. There are many neat cocktails to choose from although I went with a Kirin on draft tonight. The food was good, not fantastic. My bowl was Korean brisket on white rice and the rice was incredibly dry on the bottom. I'd ask for fried rice to make it more edible. Overall a good place and reasonable NYC prices.

The food was ok not the best. Little pricey. It is a tourist area. Gyoza was not cook that well. The soup chili shrimp with spicy vegetables it was OK nothing spectacular.

Just came in for some midday drinkies. Drinks were good and the bartender was cool. Go upstairs to the restroom! It was a whole other world of pink flowers (cherry blossoms?) like everywhere?!! (How do they clean this? Lol) I have no pics bc i didnt have my phone with me

Visited Wagamama in Midtown earlier this month with a group of 6, and the service was pretty solid. The staff handled our party well, which is always a plus. As for the food, it was good overall, but it didn't quite hit the spectacular mark. The noodle soup was enjoyable, however the ramen's broth was a bit on the bland side, lacking the depth of flavor expected from ramen. It's important to note that while this is a chain the Wagamama in Dubai actually has excellent ramen. While the food didn't blow us away, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service made the experience smooth. If you're in the mood for decent noodle soup, Wagamama could hit the spot. Yet, for a truly standout ramen experience, it might fall a tad short.

I love Wagamama's food so we decided to come here for my friend's birthday, but I was extremely disappointed and regret having brought her there on her special day. The atmosphere gets a 3/10. It was deserted and weird. And the service was no better. We were brought the wrong food, no water, had to ask for every basic little thing like to clear empty plates from a packed table. Also no recognition of my friend's birthday. None of these are a must, but at the price point this restaurant operates you expect a little more. It's a no for me.

4/5 food -- I got the vegetable yaki soba noodles. It was good and had similar flavor profiles to alot of other comparable asian fusion restaurants. Lacked spice in my opinion but they had a chili oil which helped with this. I also really liked the crunch and flavor of the pickled vegetables 5/5 service -- checked in on us pretty frequently and were helpful 3/5 price -- was way too overpriced for what it was. I asked for tofu to be added to the noodles and they said it was a little extra. I was fine with paying the extra amount but they added exactly 3 very very small pieces of tofu and charged for that so it was not worth the price at all. Other than that the price was pretty average for new york.

I had the spicy salmon teriyaki soba and it was as delicious, flavorful, and savory as the name suggests. Noodles were cooked to perfection and seasoned as well as the salmon with hints of sesame oil, garlic, peppers, and teriyaki can definitely be tasted. Waiters were especially impressive, kind, and attentive interior also was also very pleasant, chill, and vibes

3.5 stars -- this was my first time going to wagamama, so let me start by saying that I (and my group -- we were five in total) definitely plan to return. Really like that it's Asian fusion -- two of us got Pad Thai, one got a Korean fish, and two did two different kinds of ramen. We shared edamame to start with, and tried the chili version. It had garlic added to it and some red pepper flakes for a kick. We really liked it, but you need to like a little heat. We also shared a plate of steamed pork gyoza to start -- five people, five gyozas. Perfect. No fighting. I was one of the people who got the Pad Thai, and I enjoyed their different take on it -- wagamama incorporates mint as a fresh herb as opposed to basil, and the flavor was a welcome surprise. One person got the spicy beef brisket donburi, which was delicious (and, as promised, spicy!). The last person in our group got the chicken gyoza ramen. Our server, whose name was difficult to hear, but I think was Nisha or Anisha, was terrific -- really went through options and checked in on spice level with us before we ordered. My one complaint was that our dishes came out at different times -- and there was a pretty decent gap between them. The pad thais came out first, and after waiting for a bit we dug in. Then two other dishes came out and they did the same when their dishes started to cool. By the time the fifth person's dish came out the rest of us were done or almost done. Also, not a complaint but a tip -- the specialty drinks (non-alcoholic -- meaning boba tea and the health drinks) are expensive, and will definitely cause your bill to expand. The location on 55th Street can't be beat for when you have tickets to City Center, which we did. For that reason alone, we plan to try wagamama again, and will update this review when we do!

I had the ramen and it was the worst I've had. The noodles were way overcooked, the toppings were scarce, and the soup tasted like it came from an instant packet. The overall menu had very few selections, and the prices were way too high for the quality. The service matched the quality of the food. It took 10 minutes to get my drink order and I had to remind the server. The only redeeming qualities were the convenient location and the nicely designed interior. Overall, this place is not worth the visit.

This was my second time at Wagamama.I first tried them out a few months ago when I ordered takeout from their midtown east location. Last week, I went back for dine in at their midtown location. Since we didn't have a reservation, we had to wait a few minutes. The restaurant is mostly set up for communal dining so they don't have very many individual tables but instead long bench-style seating. One thing I didn't like about the seating was that most of the tables don't have chairs and the benches don't offer as much back support. Once we were seated, the waiter came to us right away and took our orders. Since we had a show to catch immediately after dinner, we appreciated the quick service. I ordered the chicken katsu which came with a side salad. My fiancé ordered the chicken firecracke, which is apparently listed under curries, but it didn't look much like a curry ti me. I got the curry the last time I visited so I knew what to expect. I though the portion was generous and I enjoyed the curry sauce on the chicken. My fiancé also enjoyed his chicken. He said it wasn't as spicy as he expected but it was good. In general, the service was quick but it was a little off in some instances. For example, I had asked for salt and two different people came at different times to bring it to me. Also my fiancés order came out several minutes before my order. I thought they probably should have come out together. Aside from those minor blips, I had an enjoyable dinner and I would come back to this location again.

Came here when the weather changed from sunny and hot to rainy and cold. Rained the last three days of our stay, Sept 23-25, so was up for ramen noodles and broth. Unlike most of the ramen places, which were small and dinky with limited seating, this place could easily seat 130+ people, with at least a dozen four person booths and 8 ten person communal tables. Very important on rainy days, as nobody wants to wait outside for a table to open up on a wet windy day. Came here twice for lunch, both times after 1:15pm on weekends, and the place was empty. The $20 shirodashi pork was the best tasting dish I had, with three good size pieces of pork belly. half an egg, vegetables, noodles in a great tasting chicken broth. Slow cooked and tender pork belly with more meat than fat. Noodles on the thick and firm side. Slurped down the last of the chicken broth. Would order again. The $21.50 beef brisket was also a winner, although could have used more meat. Chicken broth delicious, along with the noodles. Wife had the $21 spicy pork szechuan. Not as spicy as advertised, and the pork was ground up like hamburger. Not too fond of the mix of teriyaki sauce and chicken broth. Wife's second visit had the $20 chili shrimp with five good sized pieces of shrimp with kimchi, noodles in a spicy vegetable broth. Now this was a dish I could enjoy. Again, not too spicy. Comfortable spacious place to eat while watching the few pedestrians outside get soaked in torrential downpours and high winds. Not a time to eat take out outside on the steps of water fountains on Sixth Ave.

Updated review: came in on a Wednesday night at 5pm to give this place another shot considering how great the food was the first time. The restaurant wasn't nearly as busy as it was on the Saturday night just 4 days before. Was immediately greeted by the host, seated at a booth by the window and was helped by Jose who took the time to get to know us. Really appreciate the customer service to make us feel welcomed. We each ordered the Thai spicy margarita, crispy rice pork belly shareable appetizer, steak bulgogi and spicy brisket rice bowl with egg on top, and had the chocolate layer cake. Everything came at the same time. We both enjoyed our orders and were cooked to perfection! Service was on point and ambiance was good. There's 10-12 long tables that sit larger parties, 6-10 booths that can sit up to 4 and some smaller tables. The waiters/waitresses checked on us multiple times to ensure we were good and even gave solid suggestions on what to order!

I had not been to a Wagamama in years! The last time was at their London location when I was living over there and I was so excited they had a NYC location and so close to my hotel! I sat at the bar and asked for recommendations from the bartender. I was in the mood for something spicy and they recommended the spicy cauliflower appetizer. It was great, but very saucy. I would probably ask them to go a bit lighter on their sauces next time. I also had the black ink entree and it was delicious! Keeping with the spicy theme, I had the spicy Thai margarita. Definitely recommend. I do feel like I should have taken some anti acid beforehand, now writing out all that spice! Ha! It wasn't too busy at the time I went so I can't speak to the noise levels, but I loved the decor and the large windows to watch people on the NYC streets go by!

So this place was a last minute plan which turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Loved the flavors in every dish we ordered. The ambiance was nice, the top floor has the beautiful floral decor. But just be prepared for sitting on stools! There aren't too many seating options with back supports which doesn't make it kid friendly or for those with back issues. The service was ok. We wanted to order appetizers first but the server told us you order all at once and whatever is ready comes out first. We also asked him what cocktail is good and his response was it depends on your emotions (not very helpful) . But if your looking for good Asian flavors then this is your place.

First time customer. The food is delicious. The drinks are another story. My friend and I ordered calamansi drinks on the menu, but the waiter returned and explained it didn't have calamansi to make the drinks. My friend then ordered milk bubble tea which it was able to serve. I then ordered Smoke & Pear which it didn't have the custom rum ready yet. So I ordered Aviation, which was not to my liking. Fortunately, I asked the waiter if it can remove cocktail from the bill to which he said "yes". It's a nice, modern restaurant. Dark decor but ample lighting. Nice bathroom. Staff, from front door to dining area, were all polite and professional.

This was my first time at wagagmama and I was not that impressed (as someone who is GF). There are only three options on the menu that are GF, so I went with the ramen. I was not informed that the gluten-free option of the ramen removed all of the spice so it had almost no flavor. The service was pretty slow, but it was also lunch on a work day. It may be better with the whole menu but if you want spicy, gluten free food, I would look elsewhere

I had a great experience here! I came here on a Sunday night so it wasn't too packed but we were seated right away and our food came out promptly. I got the duck ramen and 10/10 would recommend! It was so light but also filling at the same time and of course full of flavor.

Perhaps I forgot my earlier review...but there we were, on our way to a 7:30 dance program at City Center, which is a good solid 3 minute walk, so say 8-10 minutes from Wagamama into one's seat...and it was before 6pm. So no possibility of being late, right ? Well, not quite right. The restaurant was not busy until a few minutes after we sat down, and though the waiter seated us, he disappeared for at least 15 minutes. I had to request someone take our order. I said we had a 7:30 curtain, but did not say where. Wagamama, on 55th and 6th is certainly close enough to many theaters....well, in our experience, not nearly close enough. I ordered a cocktail and my 2 friends ordered juices. Mine came right away, after 10 minutes, I had to ask to have theirs served. Our dumpling appetizer did not come until 6:30, then one dinner came then a second and the third did not arrive until nearly 7 and only after I got out of my seat, having been ignored by all of the staff, to say, "In other restaurants, all of the guests are served at the same time....and we have a 7:30 curtain as I told you when we ordered." Fortunately, the last diner to be served eats quickly and I had to ask for the check while he was doing so, so that we left at 7:19. Had City Center started exactly on time, we would have been late and not been seated. This is simply not acceptable when we had arrived at 5:50. The food was ok though quite salty, miso cod ramen -- the ramen was incredibly overcooked and soggy, steak bulgogi -- the steak was flavorful but tough and chicken ginger udon, plus dumplings as an appetizer, but even better food than this, and reasonable portions cannot make up for a harried experience, with servers who seem to be rushing around and yet totally disorganized. Wagamama means "selfish" in Japanese with the implication of "ignoring the needs of others because you are wrapped up in yourself" and the name just seems so apt. I think no self-respecting Japanese would ever think this is a good name for any business that wants customers.

The food was nice and hot. The pork pop stickers were delicious. The Szechuan ramen was cool. It is spicy which is fine with me but tastes more like chilies. The service was cool. When I was done people would pick up my empty plates. The tumeric shot was very tiny. Not worth it. It tasted full blown like ACV overall it was clean and the bathroom was clean. The servers were nice and gave honest recommendations

Food was tasty! Service was incredible. Drinks were delicious. Very quick meal and prices were reasonable for the area. We weren't rushed out the door which was also nice!

I met a friend at Wagamama for a pre-theater dinner around 6pm. I was able to just walk in and grab a table, but it did start filling up as the night grew. The space is very big and vibes were good. We both had a drink to start, which was nice. I had the green tea soba noodles with miso cod. This was delicious. I loved the soba noodles and the miso cod was well cooked and flavorful. We split an order of the green tea cheesecake and it was a comically small portion size for the price. I would not recommend that one. Service up until we ordered dessert was great. Once we ordered dessert, it took about 15-20 minutes for the dessert to arrive. Coincidentally, we were never able to actually flag down anyone to ask about the dessert taking so long. I'm not sure why it took so long considering how it was literally just cutting and plating a slice of cheesecake? Either way, Wagamama is a solid pre-show choice for dinner.

I came here for dinner and think it fulfilled my ramen craving. The food took kind of a long time to come out, but the waitstaff was friendly. The interior is also very nice and it's a good first date spot. The broth was good and flavorful, and I really liked the texture of the noodles; they were chewy and not soggy. The chicken could have been a little more flavorful, but the portion size was good. I liked how the spoons they gave us were comically large but it scooped up the soup and toppings well!

I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. The bang bang cauliflower was so flavorful and delicious. It is a little spicy but I didn't even care! I could eat this again for sure. I ordered the Duck Ramen. The duck was tender and falling off of the bone. However, my egg was overcooked, the noodles didn't really hold the flavor of the broth so kind of tasted bland. It was just okay. Nothing I'd go out of my way to try again. My mom ordered the katsu chicken curry. It was also decent. Not mind blowing or anything.

Food certainly wasn't bad, as quality was expected given it is a chain. Chicken was somewhat dry and the noodles didn't were okay. Pork belly bun was fairly lackluster but acceptable. Service was excellent. A decent meal but for quality ramen, money probably more wisely spent elsewhere.

Wow. we were blown away after many trendy and expesive places in NY. This was the ultimate in comfort food for weary tourists. We had chicken wings, goyza, and chicken ramen. Food ranks five stars. Service is odd. Stuff comes out of the kitchen as it is done which makes for fits and starts at the table. It's ok but if they worked at it they could make it better. The staff are all very friendly and while there are a couple of small tables, generally it's a big picnic table experience with your new friends sitting side-by-side. casual dining expericent. don't expect white table cloth but it's not greasy and the food is great.

Recently visited this place with my wife for dinner and I must say we totally loved the dine in experience. Tried their Korean chicken wings and chili chicken ramen which was super yummy. Highly recommend this place if you're near Summit one Vanderbilt and the Empire State Building view from the dine inn will be an additional plus. It was not crowded as we were there after 9pm. I would definitely come back for their friendly service and super pleasant atmosphere. Attached some of my captures from this place.

Food quite good. Service not so much. After order was delivered, no follow up. No refill drink. No offer of dessert. Nothing. Bartender was busy with prep work the whole time. Paid absolutely no attention to people eating at the bar. A couple he did give some attention to in the bar area, left wanting to thank him but he never looked up at them. He has no peripheral vision. Food was very well done. If you can survive on your own after it comes try the place. Otherwise pass.

They didn't add the egg in the chicken teriyaki and had the nerve to walk over after returning the dry meal back asking us if we wanted the eggs to go? Ummm NO Thanks to the mgr the check was void and we paid nothing. First time and last time here.

We went to wagamama late and we were just super hungry. As soon as we walk in it was a wait. This restaurant took so long! The host was nice, but then the manager of the restaurant took our drink and food order and we never saw her again after we got our food. Not once. Food was okay nothing special.

We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner after a long day at the museum (MoMA is 2 blocks away). Because it was during a non-peak time, we had most of the place to ourselves to unwind and relax. The place did fill up quickly as dinner time approached. We started out with an order of regular edamame, which is just your typical steamed soybeans. Hubby had the pork belly ramen, daughter had the chicken ramen and I had the miso cod soba noodles. I don't know if having had nothing to eat since breakfast played a factor in all of us gobbling up our food or if they were all just that delicious. I'd like to think it was a combination of both. To finish off our meals, we had the chocolate layer cake and fried banana. The desserts were decent (not great, but not bad either).

Okay. Ordered two Ramen dinners. Chicken Ramen was almost too spicy and not enough chicken (we like spicy ) Vegetarian Ramen was a treat to have, but there was hardly any tofu in it. Service slow because they were short staffed but staff was not very appreciative or friendly about our patience and waiting. Will probably try somewhere else next time.

My colleague and I were nearby attending the APAP conference at the Hilton Hotel and came upon wagamama. Luckily there was no wait and we were able to be seated right away. The ambiance was cool, and the place was dimly lit with long family style tables and a bar. Somehow the vibe also reminded me of Chipotle - maybe that's the chain / slightly overpriced part of the vibe as well. Anyway! Our waiter was amazing and steered us down the right path. We each had an amazing cocktail, steller appetizer - the duck lettuce wraps, and good bowls. I got the spicy pork szechuan ramen dish and my friend the Nama spicy tuna bowl. Both were good, but not some of the best we'd had. For the price in the neighborhood it was pretty expected, but we were probably better off researching a bit more. However the cocktails were amazing, the location was right, and the timing couldn't have been better. Pretty good!

For what it is-a fast casual Asian-fusion place, this place excels. It is a cut above the usual fast casual with a full bar and reservations. The menu features rice and noodle dishes with some appetizers. There are a couple of vegan dishes and plenty to please the pescatarian like myself. The spicy salmon noodle dish is to die for but so is the miso cod soba. Those are the two we had this evening and we are contemplating lunch here tomorrow. Service is great and food is served as it is ready so it comes out fresh and piping hot. You can't miss on this one. Oh and clean restrooms are an added bonus!

The ramen was delicious very flavorful. The lychee martini was good as well. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The location ids very nice and ideal to take cute Instagram picture.

I came here with a friend last minute for dinner. We were at NoMA nearby and wanted some dinner when wagamama came up as an option. I made a last minute reservation on OpenTable and it allowed us to be seated immediately compared to people who had just walked in. The decor was very trendy, and it's clear that the restaurant is trying to be a hip place to go to. We ordered mushroom + panko eggplant baos and bang bang cauliflower to share. I also ordered a yasai katsu curry and my friend ordered one of the meat based ramen dishes. The baos were absolutely delicious. They were soft and had a good amount of sauce on them, which I appreciated. The bang bang cauliflower was nice and crispy, albeit a bit too spicy for us. My curry was good, but there was quite a bit of it. I also found my rice a bit on the undercooked side, but the veggies and the side salad were delicious. My friend also enjoyed her ramen! Our server was kind and kept things moving, but it was clear that this restaurant likes to move tables as quick as possible. It's not a place that I would go to for a nice, casual meal where you want to take your time, but if you want a quick meal with good table service, wagamama is great for this.

My coworkers and I were walking through the city heading to an event and we're starving. I was craving pad Thai and looked up this place so we decided to check it out. The place was large and had a good atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was quick and everything we ordered was delicious. It was a bit pricy but definitely worth it. 10/10 would come again!

Great ambiance and food is great for its price range. Chicken ramen and BBQ beef baos were delicious. Luz, our waitress was amazing!
