Wagyu

A very nice restaurant with good food but for these prices (we did have the wagyu steaks) you would expect more. Like cooking at the table? There are more tourists with shorts there eating hamburgers which we like, but that doesn’t count up for the prices of the other meals. We did use a 1 star restaurant before with same price but the experience there was much more value. However, the Wagyu steaks were great! Service was nice but some speak only French language, in 2025?

I had dinner here last night. Pretty big restaurant with 2 levels of putdoor seating. Funny enough, the place was pretty much empty except for maybe 5 tables. Did not expect that on a Thursday night, but this was fine for me. Very friendly staff I must say. I had a Dubel beer to start off, because I was thirsty. I ordered the Wagyu Bavette and it was cooked to perfection, delicious! Also the truffle fries were really good, perhaps the best I’ve ever had. Even the green beans were tasty: fresh and seasoned well. The Malbec paired really well so I was happy with my decision and decided to have a few more glasses. Should have bought a bottle, but oh well.. Thinking about coming back today, because it was a great experience. Tnx Wagyu

Nice restaurant with a large variety of meat dishes. We preferred the filet pur over the bavette wagyu. Dishes come without any fries, sauce, or side dish, which you have to order separately. Certain wines can be ordered by the glass. Restaurant is connected to hotel, next door.

We discovered this restaurant as part of a hotel package. We were quite disappointed by our experience. While Wallonia is known for its warm hospitality, the welcome here felt impersonal — more like a number among many. The atmosphere didn’t help either: cold and noisy, with loud house music that made it hard to enjoy the moment. As for the food, which is supposed to be the highlight in a meat-focused restaurant, our côte à l’os saignante was served cold. The fries were poorly cooked — quite a letdown in Belgium, where they’re a point of pride. Sauces didn’t redeem the experience either: the pepper sauce lacked depth, and the Béarnaise was far too salty. With prices as high as they are, we expected much better. Overall, the ambiance felt more like a canteen than a quality dining spot. There’s potential, but both service and food need serious attention.

Back ground music with DJ is really pleasant. One thing that was a little annoying was, that our waitress after greeting us in French, we explained sorry we do not understand, and then continues to come back and speak French. That i found unprofessional, due to the fact the town in a tourist Hotspot, not just for French speakers. Small details on the meat, could be better. Side dishing was great.

The meat was good, I liked the chicken also. Variety of side dishes. It is located in the city center with an easy access and parking next to it.

As you would expect, very professional and polite personnel. High quality establishment and food. Very nicely grilled and great desert. Of course it's pricy but I thought it was definitely worth it. Located in the ever so beautiful historic center of Durbuy as part of Les Sangliers restaurants and hotel.

Despite of the reviews of the restaurant in here, we really like the place. The restaurant is nice, great atmosphere, the service is good, they had a DJ playing lounge music. The food is tasty, well prepared and served. Sure a place to visit in Durbuy.
