I had quite high expectations since this restaurant has been awarded a Michelin recognition. However, I felt that some dishes lacked the distinct aroma or flavor of the meat — the other seasonings seemed to overpower it completely. The main course was a bit too fatty for my taste, making it slightly greasy. On a positive note, the curry rice was excellent — flavorful, balanced, and served with freshly cooked hot Japanese rice, which made for a comforting and satisfying dish. Other items on the menu were decent, though they didn’t particularly stand out. Overall, I’d still recommend everyone to try it for yourselves.

The food at Wagyu Kappo Yoshida was good, and the quality of the wagyu was enjoyable. However, I noticed that the wagyu certificate shown to us looked almost identical to the ones posted by many other reviewers. It made me a bit unsure whether each guest is actually shown the specific certificate for the wagyu served that day. Overall, it was still a pleasant dining experience, but I hope they can provide more transparency with the certificates in the future.

Had my birthday dinner here, very nice ambiance and friendly staff but still retained a more reserved and professional setting. Good view of TRX. Food was great, but for the price point I think there might be better competitors. That said, some dishes were very good for their intended purposes. Overall happy with my experience here.

I opted for the premium Wagyu set menu, which was absolutely fantastic value. The chef is Japanese and uses only certified Okinawa beef from virgin females, the only certified beef in Malaysia. The quality is palpable; it melts in your mouth like silk. The service was incredibly attentive throughout, and they even grabbed a phone holder when they noticed I was using my phone. I even had a special dessert from the chef for my birthday, and the whole restaurant burst into a happy birthday song. It was a real surprise! Highly recommended!

Chef Hattori is a true artist – every dish was cooked to perfection, and the balance of flavours was simply unforgettable. The seasonal soup and the Wagyu were easily my top favourites – delicate, rich, and deeply satisfying. A special mention to Kim, our waitress, who truly elevated the entire experience. He was warm, genuinely friendly, and constantly engaging without ever being intrusive. His attentiveness, timing, and ability to read the room were outstanding. He made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers, and that makes all the difference. Steve, the chef’s assistant, impressed me with his remarkable attention to detail. His explanations of each course were insightful, just the right amount of storytelling without ever feeling overdone – it created the perfect bridge between professionalism and friendliness, making the entire dining experience both educational and genuinely comfortable.

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service was top notch and they are very attentive to details. Needless to say the food was superb. The chef may change the menu according to the seasonal ingredients available at the time. Overall very happy dining experience.

Came here for lunch set.... unfortunately it's not filling and I didn't know it's only 4 dishes only....I think people don't dine here during lunch? Cause no people during lunch time....
