Their club sandwich was really good. Hubby enjoyed it and it tasted even better the next day after it was cold. The burger was delicious, I wanted well done and didn't get that but it was still yummy. Fries were a bit salty but nothing that would deter me.

I went here for my lunch break while at work. I have been to many diners and must say the food and service are in the top ten. I will be back for sure. The prices and portions were also reasonable. My buddy asked for some extra cheese for his eggs. The waiter went over and beyond to make sure the meal was to his complete satisfaction. Melted cheddar cheese poured over the top, excellent work!

This is the best place for breakfast. We had pancakes, omelette, homemade salad which was so good. Everything was fresh and delicious. We went there on busy hour so the store was busy and they took little longer to bring our food. But they keep checking if we need something. I saw lots of flies roaming around table which they should take care of . I would recommend everyone to visit this place.

I can't even count how many times I've found myself here, especially since it was the very first spot I devoured a meal after moving to this awesome community. And guess what? They're open 24 hours! That's right, when those late-night cravings strike, Wahi's got your back. Look, it may not be the absolute best diner this side of heaven, but it checks off all the boxes when it comes to convenience. You can get your fix of breakfast goodies like bagels and omelettes, and let me tell you, those open face sandwiches for lunch are seriously underrated around here. And hey, even though the dinner options are so-so, you can always count on classic meat and potatoes being available. Sure, sometimes you might find yourself sitting on a slightly rocky chair, but the homey vibe of the place more than makes up for it. And yeah, the price can be a bit steep for what you're getting, especially when you're forking over 20 bucks for a meal. But hey, who's complaining at midnight? Wahi burger was amazing quite surprised And highly recommend with some fries great tasting patty nothing was over done.

I love dinners so with that said. I might be a bit bias. I love the quiet, the old school, the trip back in time and im really young. Lol

Service wasn’t bad. The staff could be a little friendlier, but I never felt unwelcome. Pictured is the He-Man Special. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. I particularly liked the challah French toast. It never tasted dry. I’ve also ordered take-out from the Diner and the food was great then. This is a good stop for breakfast or if you’re in need of a place to eat near the New York Presbyterian Hospital.

The food was delicious (banana walnut waffle with bacon and eggs). The coffee was both good and hot. The waitress was nice and kept my coffee full. Everything was really clean, only losing one star because the furniture was a little on the old/worn side. I really like the place, and I would definitely go back. It's really close to the hospital, so I hung out here while my wife was in surgery since they don't let you stay in a waiting room anymore.

I am a local in the neighborhood and have been going to Wahi diner for many years. it's one of the best diner in the city, good food, reasonable price, good portions and fast delivery. one of the only diners near me that are open 24 hours. I would recommend this diner if you are near the area and need something quick.

this place gets zero stars!!! Ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese and they got this simple and common order wrong! To top it off when I receive the order the bag is crumble like it was opened and my sandwich looked tampered with under further review I notice a cockroach embedded in the egg ...gross! I call them to let them know and the rude woman who took my order said "what do you want me to do about?" in a very rude tone then went on to tell me I didn't order a BEC and never addressed the cockroach! I just took the loss cuz I don't want to eat there ever again! do not recommend! I forgot to take a picture ugh!

Service was absolutely fabulous. Friendly and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty. I had the egg omelette and a side of sausage and grits. Cooked to perfection. Its the 1st time in a northern state that the grits were great.

My family and I went here over the weekend. It's a cute diner with amazing food and service. I had a turkey club that did NOT disappoint, my husband had a Cubano that was very good as well. My daughter had turkey sausage and french fries. I recommend this place 100000000%

It's my go to Diner in the area. They downsize the portion a little bit I noticed and I hope no more. Love the chicken wraps and hospital workers get discounts. The restaurant itself looks like typical diner.

Ordered $30 worth of food and received only one item and it was wrong. Called and they didn't even want to accommodate for their screw up. Not ordering here again.

This establishment needs to be reconstructed when it comes to decor as for the menu it sucks we work at the hospital the only thing that I enjoy her is the chicken soup !!!!!! The older woman with the glasses that's the cashier needs to just retire!!!!!! She is all over the place!!!! I placed a delivery order a few time and there's been a few issues . I've also eaten in the restaurant and have been for years! This particular time I spend $18+ for a breakfast platter with corn beef hash, eggs scrambled with cheese and home fries. The delivery came and I received 2 boiled eggs and corn beef hash for $18. So, I walked to the diner to speak with the manager and they redid the order. I left and I checked the platter and they forgot to add the cheese SMH Went back to Wahi and told them again! So, they offered to put the cheese on it! At this point I was turned off! The delivery was incorrect, then I went to the restaurant and it was still incorrect! Incompetent staff at best! I simply asked for my money back and I will not be returning again! The quality of the place has gone down but the prices have gone up! George why did you leave???

While we were seen quickly and our server was very nice, the food was mediocre and quite bland.

Very average diner. The food doesn't blow you away but it is edible and tastes like food. Their portions are of diner proportions so it does fill you up. The prices are also just okay. I think for the quality of food and convenience of it all, it's alright but I probably won't go out of my way to try other things from here unless I'm craving food at 3am. This diner is also in need up some decor upgrades too. The booth I sat in had seats that were torn up and everything overall looked super worn down. They did have a regular influx of customers so I'm assuming that's a sign they're doing okay? Not saying they need to do a huge renovation or anything but maybe just replacing or upholstering the chairs/booth cushions could go a long way. The biggest plus was that the waitstaff we interacted with were very quick and attentive and checked in on us every once in a while to make sure things were good.

One of the best egg with sausage sandwiches around - it had real sausage rather than a patty! That item was a reasonable price; however, the rest of the menu seemed high to me possibly because I'm not use to NYC prices. The diner is a great location if you have to pass time because you arrived early for an appointment at Columbia Presbyterian

The food is excellent. Was there 2 days ago. I had coconut shrimp. It was so good great flavoring. The service was very good. The waitress was friendly. The owner was friendly too. He gave us flan on the house. I highly recommend this Diner.

I placed two orders of French Toast from this diner through Grubhub. And they sent both orders to me with no butter or syrup. I called to let them know about the mistake. And the lady I spoke with tried to blame me -- claiming that since I didn't check the box to include utensils, that they didn't send condiments either. This is an absolute nonsense story as the box in question ONLY mentions utensils. I've ordered from this diner dozens and dozens of times before. And this is such an EASY problem to fix. But this arrogant, lazy woman wouldn't lift a finger to help. And I just couldn't believe it... I definitely will not be doing business with this diner again. Imagine driving away loyal customers over packets of butter...

Pretty easy, no frills dinner. I stopped in for a quick breakfast and had the waffle deluxe, which was massive. The dish came with a Belgian waffle (obviously), sausage, bacon, and ham. I also added an order for scrambled eggs for $1.75. Because what's a waffle meal without a side of eggs? Overall the meal was pretty average. I will say that the sausage links did taste a bit rubbery, but other than that, I did not have any major complaints. My waitress was pretty much on point with everything. Is it the nicest looking diner? Nope. For the price and service, it is pretty decent.

I don't understand the simple following of instructions. I ordered fries and requested they make a hole in the lid so the fries are not soggy and they didn't do it. NOW i have soggy fries. Who wants to eat soggy fries?? It's such a simple request and yet they seem to over look it. Or do you not care about your customers?

I hate to have to be that guy who has a negative interaction and reports it but it has to be done. I've ordered from this place 20x or more and only because it's convenient. As of today I will no longer order from here and you should not ether. I ordered food and called an hour later and the guy was being aggressive on the phone - claimed delivery guy came no one answered and they checked the call back and the person who answered said they didn't order - my phone did not ring nor did my bell. Extremely unprofessional. And what made it worst is he hung up on me lol kind of service we running here? Food is basic tasting and do not recommend . Have a good day.

The food here is really good and the service is good and fast. Ambiance inside is chill and comfy. Breakfast is my favorite time to eat here but lunch is good as well I usually get the cheeseburger deluxe with fries.

This place was terrible. They were mad that I was a "bit far" as if I set up the delivery area. Then they didn't send the large soup I ordered after two hours. I called and they blacked the delivery person for not picking it up. Like really? And they yelled and cursed at me for something their fault. I have NEVER been talked to like that from a supposed business. Finally I got one person on the phone and said no worries come tomorrow and we will replace your food. I called back because I realized I didn't get his name. Because grub hub issued a refund the original man said u ain't getting Sugar Honey Iced Tea from us. BITC you know what. Wow. All for a soup. I feel bad for the one decent souls that works there and was actually going to resolve this. I hope that business goes down in flames for that attitude.

The service is impeccable-fast, friendly and accurate. The food is very good. We went there several times while my son was in the hospital and they even recognized me and asked about his recovery. Would recommended the Italian chicken wrap, chicken and waffles, and the vanilla shakes. Highly recommend.

Got Basic Real cheese and bacon it was pretty good. Another time do scrambled eggs and bacon is pretty tasty.

My friend and I have been here a good amount of times. The first time we came, I ordered an omelet, the omelette was good up until I found a brown hair sticking out of it. It disgusted me and made me unable to finish the meal. I decided not to alert the waiter and left there giving the benefit of the doubt. Today we come again, and my friend ordered a chicken wrap, and half way through the first half, a hair. Second time. We alerted the waiter. Disgusting. They also tried to overcharge me for a specific request I made on my omelette, and only lowered the price once I brought it to their attention.

The waitress was unwelcoming. This morning I went and sat on the right back, near the bathroom. The waitress whom is Hispanic, lacked interpersonal skills and was condescending. She seemed troubled when I asked her for sugar! She was extremely rude when I asked her for another pickle. She scolded me and indicated that it would cost extra. She then returned with a plate with around 12 pickles! If I asked for an extra pickle, why would you bring 12 of them dear. Did you think I could eat all those pickles? We ordered a grilled cheese with tomatoes and bacon. It was delicious. We shared it . However , it was so good , we ordered another one to also share. The second grilled cheese was cold and soggy. The diner is filthy and needs to be updated! I do not recommend. I was charged $2.75 for extra pickles. Princess, you could have cut the pickle in half , like you did with the first order. The waitress seemed triggered and upset . I can't understand why , since I did not interact with her other than asking for the pickle and the sugar. Of course when it was time to offer the bill , her demeanor changed and she switched to kindness . I gave her 20%, little did she know my dining out breakfast tips usually start at 50%. Do better...

I really enjoy coming here.. neighborhood friendly and extremely reliable. The food is always cooked exactly the same so you know what to expect. Its your typical diner- I love it! It's clean, the staff is super quick and efficient. Never have to worry about someone messing up your order (favorite part about coming here) and the coffees great. Very cozy. Came here today alone and was reminded of what a gem it is to have in the neighborhood.

First time moving in for college. Wanted to grab something nearby to eat. And the first thing I notice was mold on my sandwich! Although they exchanged my meal I was not compensated for it.

Great food. I never ever leave reviews but I saw a lot of mixed reviews from others. I've never ate in the restaurant before so I can't speak to the customer service or ambiance. However I do faithfully order from them on uber eats and their food and it's presentation has always been outstanding. Good quality food for an affordable price with great portion sizes. 5 stars

Not a lot of diners this far uptown, and even fewer open all hours. Very good food and service. Space reminds me of diners in LES in the 90s (and upper west side in the 80s).

Listen the food is medium good, but if you want a straightforward classic cheeseburger and French fries and a piece of pie at 3 am delivered in 15 minutes and everyone is friendly, you really can't beat Wahi. They're always consistent and reliable. A late-night go-to and I'm glad they're around.

The omelets here are top notch! I am a frequent customer for a reason. Takeout is always fresh- so good!

My food was hot fresh and tasty I'm so thankful for the chili, I was craving chili and Wahi chili hit the spot the French fries were also delicious. I will be a returning customer.

I was not impressed at all with this diner. I ordered a Patty melt melt with french fries and when it was served to me did not look appetizing at all. It had no flavor the fries were bland. Was not happy at all eating at Wahi. I highly doubt that I will be Revisiting this establishment. Find another diner experience.

Delicious food and wonderful ambiance. Came here with my best friend and was not disappointed with the jalapeño poppers and alfredo pasta. A great meal after a long day. Service was top notch and this is some incredible comfort food.

My boyfriend and I came to Wahi Diner for breakfast and everything was perfect! It was extremely nice and cozy inside, which is important with all this snow outside. We had a breakfast feast and everything was clean, fresh, and tasty. The waitress was really nice and the service was excellent. The prices are very affordable! This is the closest diner to the NY Presybetarian hospital. My first time coming here was to grab my mother a soup while she was in the ER. The soup was super salty and their mash potatoes were equally as bad. The only thing she could have was their apple juice. I tried the soup and mash potatoes myself and I def couldn't finish any of it. I ordered myself some chicken tenders and they still tasted a bit frozen. My second visit was for breakfast with my boyfriend. I got a basic bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll from here and they managed to mess that up. The eggs and bacon were super dry so the sandwich was practically tasteless. This is def a place u go to at 2 am out of desperation and not because you love it here.

I walked in, nodded, and said, "I'm gonna sit at the bar." "I mean Counter" (it's the Diner!) After perusing the menu I ordered the PASTITSIO (Greek Lasagna). It was soooo good! We order here all the time. The food is decent and they have fast service. They launched an online program where you can order from their website and earn points for coupons. We earned enough points on July 3 and decided to redeem our coupon. A nice lady called and said her manager said there is no 10 dollars off. I explained it was from the loyalty points on their website. After a brief pause I was connected to the manager who stated there is no free 10.00. I said that's what popped up on their site. He then stated there never was. I said you mean discontinued because I have an email about it. Then he said discontinued the program a while ago. I said we just earned the points this month so i couldn't be awhile ago. He said no, and that he told me this several times and wrote it on my receipt. We've never used the points before and I've never spoken to him before. The information is on their website even! I told him to cancel the order and he told me he already did, and that again, he has told me this before. I didn't enter in a code. It popped up when I checked out. My email from tonight even said I earned more points! It doesn't make any sense and I don't appreciate being told we've talked about this when we haven't. It sounds like they are running a program and don't want to pay up.

I can trust that most of the items on their menu are good! I was pretty impressed with their pastas!

Very quick delivery which I greatly appreciate but really could have used more B with my L&T. Also, quite pricey for a diner but note that it is better to order directly from them rather than grub hub, seamless etc.

Normally just ok food but tonight we ordered through Grubhub and the wait was way too long. So I called the dinner. A guy answered right away. I asked for an update, he asked 'What did you order'. Half tired, I didn't recall (ordered for my kids) I said 'hold please, let me check the app'. The man starts yelling 'cmon lady, you don't even know what you ordered?!' I said 'excuse me?' He says 'yeah I'm talking to you!, I got five other ppl on the line!' I hung up. Food arrived. Tasted bad. Got a refund.

This is a neighborhood diner close to work so I drop in at least once a week for a burger. They serve a great cheese burger deluxe, satisfying without being over the top. They have a complete diner menu, but I always stop by for my burger fix.

My go to spot to order breakfast and Lunch! Delivery is always fast and food is always fresh and hot! Orders are mostly always accurate.My favorites are their Tuna Salad Panini, The silver dollar pancakes and the 2 egg any style platters! Their homefries can sometimes be a hit or a miss as far as flavor and seasoning which is why I give a 4 star review. The Grilled Chicken club sandwich was amazing! Very flavorful and filling. Other than the small hiccup on the homefries, it's a great restaurant in which I recommend to friends and family!

WAHI dinner (formerly George's coffee shop), just reopened after a MAJOR face lift. I had the patty melt, it absolutely rocked. For a little $ you get an amazing sandwich and mountain of string fries. This place has the makings of a classic New York diner that will serve a mean lunch, pancakes at 4 am after a crazy night, and the egg's that will cure the ensuing hangover. Pro Tip: Sneak away from Columbia medical for a cheap, quick lunch at a diner that feels like a diner should feel.

As an NJ native, diners are my go to for breakfast for dinner or an early morning waffle, so I'm glad that I live in the neighborhood with a few options to choose from. Started coming here after Remy's closed. Not as well priced, but still a very solid diner overall. On weekends, its very busy despite its size, so expect to wait a few. Still, its worth it if you're hungry. The menu runs the gauntlet of diner staples like waffles, burgers, open face sandwiches, club sandwiches and the like. My go to is the Belgian Waffle, because I love waffles obviously, but I'll get a burger or the chicken salad here or there. You get enough food to take home if you aren't so hungry which I always appreciate. Its very well lit because it sits at the corner of the block. You can grab a booth that can fit 4 to 6 people or sit at the bar/open table if you're by yourself or with one other. Pay at the front and remember to tip!

WaHi Diner serves your standard diner fare and as a result of that some things are hit or miss but they're open super late, so they come in the clutch for those 3am orders. I tend to stick to the basics when I order from here - omelettes, eggs over easy, pancakes, burgers, grilled cheese. Sometimes my omelettes randomly has cheese on the outside instead of the inside or my sandwich will be on a roll even though I've asked for toast but other than that there haven't been any glaring issues.

I don't know why this place gets so many three stars or less. I'm a huge fan. Maybe because I only get delivery and haven't been in to the actual place. The service is always quicker than the time they give me on grubhub which is a plus! I typically get the breakfast items which are perfect. I love the whole pancakes, all meats, and egg meals. I've never had a bad breakfast meal from here. Even the cake (Black Forest) is legit. Recently I ordered the patty melt, which is on point! I love it. The grilled onions go well with the melted cheese and the toasted rye bread. I will be exploring the menu more (it's so huge!)

Ordered breakfast catering from WaHi diner. My friend who payed for the catering had an issue with the payment verification (credit card got declined last minute). Luckily the employees at WaHi diner were so understanding of the situation and still delivered the food despite the payment issue with my friend's credit card. The food was delicious; eggs were delicious, pancakes and french toast hit the spot, potatoes were awesome. The event we had was a success thanks to WaHi diners. Would recommend breakfast catering.
