You have to be stupid to visit Wake and Late. $20 for a tiny, TINY burrito. If it fits in my palm like a hot dog, don’t charge me $20. And if you’re charging $20, use ripe avocados. How in the world can you charge so much for an already small burrito and use rock hard avocados? How about seasoning? Where’s the flavor? Absurd. I’ve actually given this place two chances but I won’t bother with a third. Not worth it whatsoever The service just makes it worse. Staff is unnecessarily rude for no reason

Google
One of the best breakfast burritos in Hollywood Los Angeles. I got the Bacon Breakfast Burrito with the cilantro crema sauce. Love the crunchy tator tots in the burrito. Adds a tasty dimension. Very clean atmosphere and super nice staff high energy and polite. Take not that there’s no where to sit down or eat. It’s a grab and go type place. Order was ready fast less than 10 min.

Google
Without a doubt the best breakfast burrito I have had (and in LA that’s saying something). The parmassean bagel with the lox spread was chefs kiss 🤌. Service was absolutely incredible, I could tell Eric and Bruce genuinely wanted to make sure I had a great experience and day. If you like burritos you NEED to go here - Wake and Late is my new go-to spot.

Google
Had seen this place and was curious to try. I did see all the reviews and became a bit hesitant, but still ended up giving it a try. I went with the streak burrito. Once your order you wait a bit and get your order outside. Each burrito comes with a choice of 2 side sauces. Well, I wasn’t disappointed. It was pretty good. It comes with everything I like (meat, eggs, potatoes, avocado). It is on the greasy side. But, even though the burrito wasn’t that big, for everything that was in there, I got full. I loved the flavors. Yes, $19 is on the pricey side - for sure. But, once in a while, I don’t mind coming for a treat.

Google
Wake and Late is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting! Their bagels and breakfast burritos are absolutely unmatched. Every bite was bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The variety of cream cheese spreads is incredible, and each one adds a unique, delicious twist to their already perfect bagels. The breakfast burritos? Pure magic. The sauces are flavorful and perfectly complement the fresh ingredients, making each bite unforgettable. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service. The gentleman who helped us was not only knowledgeable but also had such a warm and welcoming personality. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel as valued as he did. Wake and Late has officially become a must-visit for me every time I’m in town. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, incredible service, and a vibe that makes your day better, this is it! Highly recommend!

Google
I came here a couple weeks ago and was served a bagel with a long black hair baked into it which caused me to be sick once I realized. I work the night shift so I rarely can come here before they close at 2 because I don't wake up until after that. I finally had a chance to make it back here today and explained what happened and still put in an order. I asked if anything could be done for me because of that horrible experience and I was told no and still charged full price with no accommodation. Not only is that disgusting but I found it very rude and greedy that they couldn't do anything for me after I had that gross experience. I will never come back.

Google
I've always loved WAKE AND LATE (since their DTLA location). It's always straight to the point, great burritos with some awesome sauces. This was my first time to the newer Hollywood location (stumbled upon it) and, not only were the burritos excellent, but all of the staff members were truly phenomenal. Such attentive customer service and just genuine good vibes. Is it more of a take-out place, of course. But it is so so good. :)

Google
Delicious burritos, great service, and a warm atmosphere. I suggest getting the bacon burrito, it’s delicious, filling, and has amazing sauces to match. Eric was so welcoming and a great conversationalist. We will DEFINITELY be back (we already came two days in a row 😂).

Yelp
Sabrina and Genesis are the best around! I love this location so much The matcha is my fave!:)

Josduar S.

Yelp
This place deserves all the possible stars! Our guy in the counter Bruce lee, genesis and Sabrina were amazing helping us get one of the best breakfast burritos ever! Also the honey with the bagel melts in your mouth like butter!! Definitely coming back!

Tatiana S.

Yelp
My favorite spot for an incredible Gluten Free breakfast burrito! It's my birthday today and Genesis welcomed me with the brightest smile and great recommendations!! Thank you for making the morning of my birthday so memorable, I will be back so soon!!

Yelp
Quite literally my favorite breakfast burrito! I always get the bacon burrito with the cilantro crema. It's sooo good!! And of course their natural squeezed orange juice :)))) Genesis and Sabrina were the best! They answered all our questions and gave us their recommendations! They were incredibly nice

Yelp
Perfect little Sunday spot especially this location since its caddy corner to a farmers market. Perfect for walking off the calories! Especially since you'll be back more than once for these burritos. The concept of this place is efficient and minimal. Straight to the point to get you in and out. All while the staff is informative and helpful especially if it's your first time. Orange juice 5/5 Veg burrito 4/5 Having fresh orange juice is always a plus in my opinion. Typically more of a coffee gal but the juice did pair nicely with the burrito since it did have a bit of kick when paired with their chipotle sauce. That sauce alone blew my mind. It's the little things like that when combined with everything else that really do make a place stand out. The burrito was a good medium size, I really do like that it came with pickled jalapeños and a generous amount of avocado. Not overwhelming at all. The balance between soft and the crispy tots was perfect. The only thing that's stoping me from giving the burrito a 5/5 is that I do wish the tortilla was a bit more grilled. Next time I'll ask if that could be possible. Then I'm sure id be extremely pleased! *Even though the farmers market is there and I love that, still it did make finding parking on a Sunday rather difficult. There is a trader joes near by that you can park at (just make sure to get your ticket validated). Hope that's helpful!*

Yelp
Went on a Thursday around noon and it wasn't too busy to where there was just 1 order ahead of us and our food came out in a fair time. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito, 1 plain bagel and 1 parm bagel, 1 plain cream cheese and 1 lox cream cheese (minimum of 2 bagels and cream cheeses per order) and 1 iced matcha latte with oat milk. The total was around $40, which is pricey but I think worth trying at least once. Because they were out of parm bagels, they subbed it out for a sweet onion bagel and threw in 2 free bagels. Along with this, they also gave us a complementary drink. Great customer service. The worker also explained why their burritos are so famous (including Michelin guided tortillas), which was interesting to hear! Their burrito was very good. Very tasty, savory and flavorful, despite it being a little one dimensional. The tator tots were crispy and salty, the tortilla was good and the avocado was a nice touch that most traditional breakfast burritos don't have. The chipotle aoili was pretty chipotle-forward, I thought it was okay. For $18, it is a very small burrito but again, worth trying once. The bagels were fresh, warm and soft. They're rip n dip style. As bagels go, they were both pretty standard. The lox cream cheese could've used more lox and less dill. Both cream cheeses had a good whip to them. The matcha is provided by Lamill Coffee. It wasn't one of the best matchas I've had but it was pretty unique in its sweetness and earthiness. Not overly sweet. I enjoyed it more the more I drank it.

Yelp
One steak burrito the size of my hand is $20+ after tax and tip. For some reason they require you to order a minimum of two bagels and two cream cheeses per order, which means you have to spend at least $15 just to try one bagel. We've been a fan of wake and late since their DTLA location opened, but given the high price and stingy portions, we're unlikely to return.
google avatar

Tommy S.

Yelp
WOOWWWW! Best breakfast burrito I ever had! That Steak and egg is gassss! All 3 sauces goooo hard too! Fresh Squeezed OJ man! Not a bagel guy but there's is next level. Honestly Best I ever had again! They got a honey dip and a scallion get em both! Don't sleep! its heaven in Hollywood! Trust!

Yelp
Wake and late has the best breakfast burrito in LA! I like this location more than the downtown one because it has a few seats outside. I like getting the steak burrito with hot sauce and cilantro crema. I like that they give you two sauce options. I love that there's avocados and tater tots. The steak is well seasoned too. The burrito is on the smaller side for $20. I think if youre gonna share this, you won't fill like it's heavy.

J M.

Yelp
The FRIENDLY people in the world. We came for breakfast on our first day in LA (from Sacramento), and HAD to stop on our last day for breakfast. The crunchiest potatoes, the best tortilla, the juiciest steak! Omg.... You just couldn't get any better for food or service. I highly recommend 10/10
google avatar

Alex J.

Yelp
$20 for a tiny burrito with unripened avocado. Wow. A year ago I knew this burrito wasn't worth it at $16.50. Now the burrito is $20 and I figured maybe - just MAYBE - they actually improved given the price hike. Nope. It's actually worse than I remember. The burrito is small. Like embarrassingly small for the price. I'll start with the good because yes, this burrito actually - shockingly - has some good components. The tater tots are so crunchy without being greasy. Same with the bacon, being very crispy without the grease. The cilantro sauce is also delicious. The chipotle is no big deal. But that's about it. The eggs don't even have seasoning. It's actually a very bland burrito without the sauces. And that includes a lack of salt, something I rarely ever want in a breakfast burrito - more salt. The worst part of it all? The hard avocado. How are they going to charge $20 and give me avocado that isn't even ripe. What. A. Joke.

Yelp
Overall 3/5 rating for Wake And Late. In summary, the vegetarian burrito is good but pricey for its size (about 6 inches). At least they fill the burrito well without having extra tortilla left. Let me break down my rating here... 4/5 rating for taste of the vegetarian burrito. 5/5 rating for the delicious & simple latte with oat milk. 2/5 rating for pricing for the $15-$19 breakfast burritos 0/5 rating for using boxes to hand the burritos in, why?! 5/5 rating on customer service! So I went on opening day and the burritos, bagels and drinks/lattes were on the house, but this review is unbiased. Super friendly and great staff! One of the operations director came out to greet us and thank us for attending. The process of ordering and pick up is on point. The ambiance on opening day was super nigh energy. Everyone was excited to be there for free burritos! While in line, they offered samples of their tasty chocolate croissant, lattes, matcha and fresh OJ. But honestly, breakfast burritos shouldn't be this much $$$. If you're a family of 3, breakfast is going to run you ~$70 !? I get it, you have "the best" tortillas, bacon, steak, eggs, etc. But burritos never asked for this! And why waste paper boxes to box the burritos? It's just a waste because most will eat it on the spot and the box only made it from the kitchen to the sidewalk and tossed. If you want to treat yourself, enjoy Wake And Late! You'll find the Farmers Market next door on Sundays. Limited street parking.

Evelyn T.

Yelp
Wow this is the best breakfast burrito I've had in LA. My gf and I got the vegetarian burrito along with the steak burrito. It was very filling and delicious with all 3 sauces. Every bite was heavenly and well worth the price. We also tried the iced vanilla latte and match latte with oat milk. The vanilla latte was the right amount of sweetness, still allowing me to taste the coffee. I can tell they use good quality syrups and espresso. Genesis and Maggie were super helpful with giving us recommendations and very friendly! Another bonus is there is plenty of metered street parking nearby. Stop by if you're craving breakfast burritos, you won't be disappointed. Will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends/family!

Yelp
You can taste the passion in the food and the quality of it. Absolutely friendly and upbeat staff that makes you feel welcome and to start you on a good day. I got the bacon burrito and let me tell you. It was amazing. Great ingredients, fresh and makes you feel ready for the day. It's the perfect size so it doesn't make you feel bloated and tired and not to small that you'll want to get something else on your way. The sauces are top notch. I'll be hitting this spot on my daily routine.

Ayana B.

Yelp
I've tried a bunch of spots in San Diego and La but NOTHING compares to these breakfast burritos. Me and my girlfriend got a vegetarian and steak burrito and they were both perfectly seasoned with all of the right textures from the crispy tots to the tender meat and fluffy eggs. We got all 3 sauces which were the cilantro cream, chipotle aioli and hot sauce and they were BOMB. I was actually pretty shocked with how elevated the hot sauce was because I was expecting a typical red hot flavor profile. But it's tangy, spicy and even a little sweet that just hits the right spot. I definitely do reccomend all 3 sauces if you are a sauce person. Génesis and Maggie were the employees that helped us out and they were absolute angels. They were super sweet and helpful which we really appreciated. Not to mention, they got our order out in under 10 minutes!! They know how get customer service right at this location so if u want bomb burritos and a good vibe, I highly reccomend.
google avatar

Ariel V.

Yelp
Shoutout to Maggie and everyone at this location, dope vibes! They are always warm and welcoming. Burritos are great! All sorts of textures if you're into that. I come here at least once a week. Lmao.

Yelp
I am ecstatic that there is FINALLY a Wake And Late in Hollywood. My boy Bruce is ALWAYS a vibe and when I came into the restaurant today the lovely Sabrina and Genesis got me right with my order. I'll be back for that steak burrito tomorrow! The service and team are phenomenal, definitely recommend 10 out of 10. Only spend your money where you win.
google avatar

Aiko K.

Yelp
Literally every LA food vlogger talks about this place and we finally fell into temptation when the one in Hollywood opened up. The line and wait was definitely long when it first opened but it hasn't been as crazy since. I can definitely see the hype, I'm obsessed with the bacon burrito and their sauces are delish too. BUT! Definitely the smallest (and expensive) burrito I've had in LA so far. The staff are friendly but the music can be a bit loud at times. It it weren't for the price, they'd definitely get a 5!
google avatar

Alaaeddine S.

Yelp
I am no stranger to Wake and Late. Breakfast burritos with the sauces and crispy tater tots are always top notch. Don't sleep on the bagels, they come out hot and delicious. But the reason I am taking time to do a review is that I visited the Hollywood location for the first time yesterday. The staff, especially Eric, made my day. Eric's presence, positive, upbeat attitude, and genuine inquiry about how my day is going (above the normal business formalities/salutations) really uplifted my mood even when I was having an already fine day. He also kept me informed about the status of and checked on my order regularly. The rest of the staff was also very pleasant. Now that is customer service! Will be back not only for the good food but the great staff.
google avatar

Zander G.

Yelp
Genesis was absolutely incredible!! Her recommendations were impeccable, and i have never received sweeter, or more efficient service from anyone at this location ever! :) I will be coming back only if she is there!! huge shoutout to this location and team, and of course to Genesis again!
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had, my wife doesn't really like breakfast burritos, but she loved her steak one. The vibe was so good, Bruce and Sabrina were such a pleasure, they really made me feel welcomed and that they were going to take care of me, such a great staff and amazing food..
google avatar

Rowanne K.

Yelp
Highly recommend their steak burrito. Service is quick and personable. Perfect spot for on the go breakfast. Good vibes!

Mister W.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood! Thanks for being so friendly and making the best bagels around. Always fresh. The burrito rules. Also, it's so nice not being hounded for a tip.

Leor I.

Yelp
Wake and Late in Hollywood is my best experience since moving to LA. Bruce, Maggie and Eric are the most amazing, friendly, genuine and authentic individuals I've met in La. Today was my first time trying , the food was actually incredible, but the staff and service were even better. This spot will become my new regular breakfast spot not only bc it's delicious, but because of the amazing staff. Ps get the iced vanilla latte. I love how everything is so organic and clean ingredients. Place is clean, aesthetic and vibes are a 100/10

Dan M.

Yelp
I came today with my child and the service was amazing. As I was ordering our meals one of the workers I believe his name was Bruce. He gave my child an orange juice and proceeded to ask her thoughts on it. Most people usually ignore children but he made her opinion feel validated. She loved the orange juice, which is freshly squeezed everyday! I had the vegetarian burrito and it was very satisfying especially with the chipotle sauce. We also had an order of plain bagels with the honeycomb butter. The bagels felt fresh like they came right out of the oven. Plain bagels itself seemed sweet and with the honeycomb butter just adds the perfect amount of sweetness. My child and I would give wake and late a 1000/10. I would recommend for others to try this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Best burrito in Los Angeles- nothing else to say here (I've tried the pasadena -dtla locations) - get the steak one- in my opinion the bacon one was salty... and always always ask for additional cilantro crema on the side. I tried the vegetarian option too (cuz I was curious haha) and it wasn't too bad--- the steak one was just so phenomenal Their gluten free coconut tortilla-- I don't rlly care ab gluten free stuff but I just tried it out and wow I think it was lowkey better than the regular tortilla cuz it kinda has a chewier texture to it
google avatar

Francisco O.

Yelp
I'm so excited about Wake and Late being open here in Hollywood! My friend couldn't stop raving about the Steak breakfast burrito, which I definitely needed to try. I'm so glad I did! That breakfast burrito with all the sauces was DELICIOUS . It's a 10/10 from Me and I will definitely recommend to a friend. Genesis and a Maggie were phenomenal and hilarious to interact with. THANK YOU for Everything

Adrian K.

Yelp
I ordered a veggie burrito and received bacon. I am allergic to bacon so I'm highly disappointed. Also the ladies working the front were quite unfriendly. They both had a very condescending attitude. Guess I'll just be taking my business elsewhere moving forward.
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
this was my first time trying this place and it did not disappoint! big shoutout to Erik/Eric not sure how he spells it but you get the point. he said he's normally in the kitchen but he definitely had the best customer service and did his big one :) thank you E for setting the tone for such a perfect meal. it was definitely an excellent experience!!
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
This place in my opinion, makes one of the best breakfast burritos in LA. So flavorful and has the best sauces in the game. I originally started going to the location in downtown LA a couple of years ago. And after having it, it's hard to top. I will say that I feel the size has gotten smaller from a couple of years go. Not sure if the size is a location specific thing. But it's definitely gotten smaller within the last 2 years. Especially for the cost of $20. It has definitealy also gone up a few bucks in price. But hey, that comes with the quality of this place. It's a nice breakfast treat. But price aside, still hands down the one of the best and most flavorful breakfast burritos you can buy. With the cilantro green sauce and hot sauce *chefs kiss*.

Yelp
Walked and in and was instantly greeted by smiles and a loud "welcome in!" I then proceeded to have what is undoubtedly the best steak breakfast burrito of my life. What a gem of a breakfast spot.

Yelp
Amazing meal amazing service! Sabrina, who took our orders, was so accommodating. Will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in LA. Been at their other locations for years and FINALLY in my hood. Quality organic and well-sourced award winning ingredients all come together in a tight package. Missing the grilled onions, though. Oh captain, my captain crunch. The bagels are fantastic though I'd love to be able to get just one with my burrito. Barrier to entry seems unnecessary, buying 2 and two spreads. Costs too much for someone already buying a burrito and wanting to try them or get just a little more food as the burritos are a bit on the smaller side. I just like fresh bread, hot bagel, without all the wasted food and shmear. Bread quality alone tastes good and you don't need the extra. Seems like they'd actually sell more if they didn't force people to buy a whole double dragon double dutch. I know I would add one on the regular. Buildout of the space nice, though the parking and pickup sitch gonna be a mess on Sundays with the way those delivery drivers do on a tricky one-way turnaround. Order ahead on the Local Toast app.

Yelp
This morning I Had the bacon breakfast burrito. Incredibly salty. Was thirsty all day after. And while it tasted OK while eating it, left me with a terrible taste in my mouth a while later. Super heavy and left me full for hours after - and not in a good way. While many social media reviews praise this place - unfortunately, I have taken it off my list.

Yelp
Best breakfast burrito in LA! I usually don't get breakfast burritos, but had to try to see what the hype was about, and it surpassed my expectations. Today was grand opening, and my party arrived around 7:50am before they opened at 8 (but their normal hours are 7am) which the line wasn't bad at all. It was super organized despite the amount of people waiting and by the time we got our food, it took about an hour. Right before opening, the director of operations came out to thank us for coming out. The employees were all super nice and they even gave a sample of the chocolate almond croissant and a choice from three drinks (vanilla latte, matcha, orange juice). The ordering process was pretty easy, you can order with the employee and they call your name out for the drink, which you can then head outside where there is a pickup window. They also ask for your phone number so they can text when you can get your order. We ordered the bacon and steak breakfast burrito, and for the drinks, orange juice and a matcha. The orange juice was sweet and refreshing, while the matcha was slightly bitter compared to the sample because we got oatmilk instead of the fresh milk. There is no inside seating, but there is outdoor seating. The steak burrito was literally so good, and it comes with spicy sauce that wasn't that spicy but it went well on the burrito. The tortilla had a nice crunch. The grass-fed steak was cut into small pieces which I liked, and comes with egg, avocado (you can also choose to not include avocado), tater tots, and cheese. I tried a bite of the bacon breakfast burrito from my mom, and it was good also, it was saltier than the steak one though. Overall, while definitely pricey ($18 for a burrito that is about the size of my hand), I left feeling full. It was a good experience and was worth the drive to LA to try.

Earnest S.

Yelp
Best burrito in LA Easily!!! I get it everytime I'm in the city. Especially the one in Hollywood. It's the cleanest
google avatar

Jan S.

Yelp
The price is WAY WAY too high for what you are getting here. It is a small burrito with average ingredients served in a catchy orange box. It must be the orange box that gets people to go there. Got the vegetarian and felt very overcharged. In addition the ratio of ingredients was not ideal. Not enough egg. They give you the choice of 2 "salsas" but really they have one salsa and 2 non-salsas which were a cilantro crema and a chipotle aioli. I don't want a mayo or crema option on my burrito. I want salsa choices. Not coming back.

Sabrina R.

Yelp
Amazing service and the best breakfast burrito in LA. Thank you especially to Bruce and Sabrina!!!
google avatar

CJ J.

Yelp
Look I'm going to keep it 100 it's pricey and that's the only thing you can complain about...it's the best breakfast burrito in LA by far and the sauces are just out of here. If Anyone says this burrito is not good just don't trust their opinion on food you can't say nothing bad about the taste of this breakfast burrito perfect in every way just a little pricey would love if it was $15 but I give it 5 stars because it's delicious simple

Matt K.

Yelp
$20 for the smallest burrito I've ever had in my life. The burrito itself was very tasty, I ordered the steak. But for the price I feel like I was totally ripped off, I honestly don't know how they could make a burrito smaller than this. The definition of shrinkflation is this.

Roman B.

Yelp
Bacon burrito is so good, vibe of the place is awesome and everyone is very sweet. 10/10 would recommend if you want a breakfast burrito. and good orange juice!

batya

Yelp
This place is so cute and the service is amazing! The food is so good i would definitely recommend!!! DEFINITELY STOP BY

Elaine L.

Yelp
Offensively tiny burrito. Was looking forward to trying this place based on the buzz, but it's clearly trying to catch some increased profit by riding the wave of being trendy - charging outrageous prices for smaller and smaller burritos. Were the 3 bites we had tasty? Absolutely. But check out any other lauded burrito place and you'll find that most of them hover around $9-15 (vs $20 here) for a burrito double the size. Maybe the downtown location serves larger burritos? I'd be willing to try. But don't reward this place particular location for sacrificing quality (size) while capitalizing on social media better than other deserving restaurants.

Rahben H.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and so are the employees. Well kept, very clean, and the staff is amazing. Maggie service was exceptional and the crew was great. I appreciate the speedy service because sometimes I'm running behind and they always have my food ready on arrival. I love the Hollywood location

Andy H.

Yelp
This place is awesome Sabrina and maggy were awesome people I was in there for 10 minutes and it was the best 10 minutes ever haha great energy awesome place. Also got some OJ on the house . Food is FIRE!

Forrest L.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible! One of the best breakfast burritos. Staff was extremely friendly and inviting. They overly communicated and recommended menu items. Will definitely return because the staff is the best part which is super rare
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Limited menu which I get. However, when you only have breakfast burritos and bagels, I'd expect you have these ready when you open. They were just making the bagels at 7:15 when they open at 7. Food is good though, so I'm hoping this is just initial growing pains.

Cevina M.

Yelp
Great service and energy from Maggie! The space is very cute and the food is delicious.

Brandon M.

Yelp
I'm addicted! Wake and late has become a favorite easily. Not only are their burritos always on point, their service is always so warm and welcoming! Shoutout to Maggie for always making the experience here great.
