"Locals already know Wandercrust does some of the best pizza in London, but it still feels like a closely guarded secret from the rest of the city. Cooking from the kitchen at The Pelton Arms (a pub with a very decent Sunday roast), Wandercrust specialises in Neapolitan-style pizzas, but the margherita and the American Psycho are the only two you’ll need. The dough is chewy with gorgeously blistered crusts, slightly soupy in the centre but just strong enough to eat without a knife and fork. And the tomato base actually tastes of tomatoes. If you can get a table, The Pelton Arms has a comfortable, old-fashioned pub feel, otherwise take away and perch on the wall outside the Cutty Sark overlooking the river." - jonathan hatchman

This Greenwich pub has a comfortable, old-fashioned feel, but if it’s full, The Crown is a short walk away. It also slings pizzas and although Wandercrust’s are better, we reckon The Crown is the nicer of the two pubs. One peerless pizza of his is the American Psycho, which consists of San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, Ventricina salami, Roquito peppers, Moon chilli honey and fresh basil layered over a light, puffy, Neapolitan base.
