Google
This ice cream was the bomb! They had some unique flavors that I had never tasted. I got two scoops and I waffle cone. The service was great, I was offered taste samples to help me better decide and I chose the tiramisu/ abuelita’s chocolate.

Vivian Lee

Google
I’ve been getting ice cream here for years (since 2014/2015 probably) One of my favorite places with unique flavors. They no longer do flights, which is a bummer. I always come for seasonal flavors! They have single scoops, split scoop, and tasting trios available. Come! You won’t be disappointed. Vegan flavors also available.

Kiana Daniels

Google
My favorite ice cream flavors in woodland hills. This place is so yummy and they often have asian inspired flavor profiles, which I love! Like Taro crunch, thai tea, black sesame cookies and cream! So yummy!

Trekking Pawns

Google
Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! So many cool and fun flavors! I wanted to taste test everything but felt guilty after 3. I wish I could pay $10 and just get a tiny scoop of everything. Each flavor was a hit or miss because we had an idea in our head what we wanted it to taste like vs reality. Definitely try a sample before getting the scoop. The cone was very sweet and does not go with all ice creams. Lactose free ice cream available as well as lactase to buy at the counter. The décoré was on point and very fun to look at while waiting for our turn.

Ever Grant

Google
I personally like the flavors they have here but when it comes to scoops, they need to put their back into it and scoop. Every time I go here, I need at least 2-3 scoops because one is too small. Good overall

Cassie

Google
Loved the texture and flavor! The only bad thing was I could not get every single flavor! Would recommend the Ube.

Alejandro Garcia

Google
All time fav ice cream stop. Must try there new flavors. Overall a great experience. Prices are reasonable. Flavors are unique but a must try. Overall 10/10 would reccomened.

Jan

Google
What a lovely store and cool origin story to the business. The ice cream was fabulous. Aiden was friendly, engaging and kind. What a treat to visit the original location! Open a store in the Galleria Area of Houston! I’ll manage it for you!

Reza S.

Yelp
Unique flavors They have a three scoop sample option which is great The flavors I tried were so good I did two sampler options and had 6 flavors All amazing!

Yelp
Wanderlust has a great variety of unique flavors. The worker who helped us was very kind and helpful showing us the different flavors! The shop is really cute but very small. Parking at this location's lot is a hit or miss. Small lot shared with multiple businesses.

Yelp
Aside from the delicious ice cream I had last night their employee Bridgette was super helpful and gave amazing customer service. I would definitely make this place my go to for my ice cream cravings :) Recommend: Abuelita Malted Crunch

Janice A.

Yelp
My first time at this location. I never saw it before today wtf lol. ALL the flavors are amazing not too sweet very enjoyable. The girl working today is so polite. 9years here and I don't know. Now I do and I'll be coming here a lot more often when the cravings kick in.

Trang N.

Yelp
Wanderlust has become my favorite ice cream place (with multiple locations in the valley) thanks to the Tres leches pandan and Ube ice creams (and their respective cones flavors)!! So delicious!! They also sell pints to go. The options are so diverse and unique (for example, they have a Mango & sticky rice flavor which tastes exactly like the dessert). You should go now and thank me later :)

Grace H.

Yelp
Great Ice Cream Spot!! Interior is clean, decorated nicely, and there are so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. Employees were patient and gave us whatever samples we asked for. Each flavor was great but I opted for a vanilla!

Kislev A.

Yelp
It's already May so Wanderlust changed their lineup already. But just in case they bring back the flavors, and to showcase how amazing this creamery is, I will go ahead and still review my visit from April 2024. Thai Tea Boba. Cannot go wrong with this classic flavor. And they didn't. Brown Bread & Butter. Delicious! If you like your desserts with small bursts of sugary sweetness, this is perfect. Stout Chocolate w/ Whiskey Caramel. If you like desserts with a small kick, this is delicious. Hubby doesn't like liquor flavors, but I don't mind it al all and this is a great flavor combination. Kinder. When in doubt, the kids get Kinder and they are always happy they get it. Our server got himself out of his break to patiently serve us. How cool is he?

Michele P.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place as I had it bookmarked for a while, and I was intrigued by the unique flavors. Thank you to the sweet girls working behind the counter who had a lot of patience as our family of five tried multiple flavors before finalizing our decision . Unfortunately, nothing quite hit the mark for me, despite sampling four different flavors. They were all sooooo bland. I was disappointed. So, I didn't get any :( My kids liked their ice cream, and the Ube cones were very unique attribute. Excessively overpriced, though!

Emily P.

Yelp
Love that they use actual spoons to give out samples instead of plastic/wooden ones. I loved the Subak Hwache sherbet! Very refreshing and I enjoyed the jellies but wished the pieces were a bit bigger. It's a seasonal flavor so go try it out! Service was fast and I loved the inside decor. There's outside seating btw!

Janelle L.

Yelp
Fantastic Asian influenced flavors to choose from anytime you stop! This place is excellent. The flavors bring back all kinds of memories from childhood. I love that you can grab a pint to take and share. The space is tight but there's an outdoor patio that you can sit in the summer heat and melt your scoop as you lick.

Kalie H.

Yelp
I've been coming here since they first opened. Wanderlust has always been a great ice cream spot with Asian flavors. I love the pandan & mango with sticky rice. It's so fun that they come up with new seasonal flavors every month. It keeps you wanted to come back to try more! :)

Priscilla Y.

Yelp
First discovered at the Topanga Social mall and amazed by all their flavors. I love the diversity and dedication to the different cultures. I'd definitely recommend getting a triple split scoop if you want to try 3 flavors for only $.75 more than a single or a split scoop (2 flavors). You can also order or buy pints - though the prices just went up to like $13. It's definitely a "special occasion" treat so can't wait to have it at my wedding!

Camille W.

Yelp
I always recommend this place to people. Their flavors are consistently delicious and I really appreciate that you can sample multiple option. I took off one star because a couple of times they've said they were open and they weren't, which those insistences are rare. Overall, I highly recommend you check them out, just call first.

Emmanuel F.

Yelp
Scoops are tiny ! Not worth it. You need like 5 of these scoops to make a normal scoop

Megan A.

Yelp
Bomb.com the smoky road and Vietnamese road are TO.DIE.FOR!!! Friendly and patient staff, let me try like 5+ flavors lolll. Cute spot off the freeway. Parking is kind of tight fyi. Right next to Coffee bean, can be kind of hard to see from the street. Looking forward to coming back for more scoopzzzz!

Anna J.

Yelp
10/08/2023: Why does it feel like summer in October? Off to get some ice cream to cool down. YAY! The flavors are so much fun and endless. There were so many choices. I wanted to try them ALL. In honor of Filipino American Heritage Month, I had to try Bretman Rock Collab called Da Fruity Salad w/ a scoop of Pandan. I'm from Hawaii and you know, I had to support Hawaii locals. The Pandan was lacking the "pandan" flavor. Da Fruity Salad however was delicious. It reminded me of my childhood living in Oahu. The chunks of the fruit and tropical flavors were spot on. Thank you Wanderlust!

Tu-Anh N.

Yelp
WHEN: Sun @2:30pm PANDAN TRES LECHES Sweet cream ice cream serves as a blank canvas for crumbs of housemade pandan sponge cake + ribbons of condensed milk in this southeast Asian-inspired take on tres leches. The pandan is subtle here since it's in the sponge cake, and not the ice cream it self. Still overall good, and the nice textures of the cake. I got the Single Scoop ($6.50) on their ube waffle cone ($1.50) and it's just a very gorgeous site. I'm so fascinated by all the different and unique flavors, especially when they are inspired all parts of Asia. This location was inside a shopping area so there's a decent amount of free parking but they are all pretty tight.

matt g.

Yelp
The venue at Topanga social is everything. It's a better concept than just a food court in a mall. At 10pm ppl were still hanging out. Young couples were watching movies on their iPads lol. The flavors were fun and unique. But the ube crunch is still my favorite. The malt like crunch is chewy and crunchy, salty and sweet. I didn't try them all but the ones I did were incredibly creamy. But here for the late night vibes, live band and good energy. The whole family loved it.

Yelp
It's 95 degrees and up out... Do you know where your inner child is? Telling you to cool off with something tasty, refreshing and dare I say... Wonderful? It's at this local small shop Wanderlust Creamery location in the sunny San Fernando Valley city of Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. The place with a smorgasbord of delicious flavors like no other!! Do try it all or if you're like me and dairy-free, everything you can which is a very healthy amount. Vegan Malte Ube all day!! Sticky Rice + Mango, a classic go to, Earl Grey (Coconut) Milk Chocolate... We very much enjoy you to though not as much as Passionfruit Cacao and the brand new summer seasonal vegan goodness that is Aussie Pavlova "white chocolate" passionfruit that will take you miles away... and make you non passive in every way!! Sorry Drake, I like my mix for this... much like the outstanding Wanderlust Tarzana Team service!! The people who work here are enough to make you want to come back and enjoy... Did I mention you can also by buy the pint... Put those ice packs and ice in the cooler and stock up! Like most locations there is only seating directly outside, but for WC TarZ... you can do so under some shady spots on their shared patio with other fooderies. The parking lot is also shared and usually pretty easy in and out with some metered options on Ventura Blvd and side streets from the corner of Reseda Blvd / Ventura Blvd (the corner of this creamery) and beyond. Get two scoops, maybe three... maybe more... So you can stay cool in summer and wonderful with frozen fun all year long with Wanderlust - Tarzana. Q Tip: Read the signs for the doors please, also help cut down of the cross heat breeze.

Yelp
Really delicious, love their unique flavors and how the menu changes. They can get busy, but for good reason! My husband and I recently went to try the Lilikoi Li Hing Pineapple flavor and it was sooooo good! We also bought a pint to bring home and and have in our freezer. They have some indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating in a little courtyard. We love Wanderlust Creamery and also take our friends and family when they come to visit us.

Carl G.

Yelp
Good ice cream one of the best. I wish they opened one in Valencia . I would be there everyday it's that good

Er3yn G.

Yelp
Open late and had a variety of flavors. It's a bit more on the expensive side but hey if you're treating yourself! Unfortunately I got a flavor I didn't like but I'll definitely go back to try more. I like the opening seating and parking lot out front. Just wish it was kept a bit cleaner and more lit at night.

Edwin M.

Yelp
I tried the sticky rice and mango which is described as "unintentionally vegan". I only meant to have a few bites as a palette cleanser, but the flavor was so intriguing I almost ate all of it.

Diondra B.

Yelp
Stopped here to grab vegan ice cream. I got the mango sticky rice and ube. Ice cream was ok. I liked that they had unique flavors. Staff wasn't friendly or helpful

Jan M.

Yelp
The ice-cream and exotic, international flavors here are delicious! I got the three scoop tester and it was much larger than I thought it would be. I enjoyed every bite! Looking forward to going again soon. :-)

Caren R.

Yelp
What has happened to Tarzana. Graffiti on all the storefronts. The ice cream was fine. Most are creamy without nuts or anything crunchy in them. They have interesting flavors, but You wont find vanilla, chocolate, chocolate chip or any standard flavors there if you are looking for that. The sitting area is terrible outside. Tables broken, dirty, not pleasant place to sit and graffiti all over their storefront. It's sad to see the area like this.

Johnathan Y.

Yelp
Amazing variety of Asian inspired flavors available. Can totally understand why the ice cream here is so beloved. Tiny store front that's clean and well maintained, with plenty of parking available. Zach provide awesome service and was so patient in answering all my questions and making recommendations for flavors to sample/get. Will absolutely be coming back again!

David L.

Yelp
Came here for some post-dinner dessert. Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 4 Ube Malted Crunch® Inspired by: an American-Filipino upbringing Malted milk. Sweet purple yams. Crunchy malted milk pieces. Pandan Tres Leches™ Inspired by: Southeast Asia Sweet cream ice cream serves as a blank canvas for crumbs of housemade pandan sponge cake + ribbons of condensed milk in this southeast Asian-inspired take on tres leches. ~4/5. Ice cream was quite smooth and it was delicious. Also a great mix of unique Asian flavors. Would definitely come by again.

George S.

Yelp
Wanderlust Creamery always seem to come out with new limited flavors and we always want to try them, and they never disappoint! We tried them all! If you want a tarty/sweet flavor, try the Yuzu Creamsicle, this was my favorite. I got the split single size cup (two scoops) and paired this with the Mango Sticky rice (my go to). The Royal Milk Tea Ramisu, Black Sesame cookies and cream were very good, they both had pronounced flavors. The Jasmine Sea Salt and Strawberry Daifuku had subtle flavors which were very good! We really enjoyed the Injeoli Toast also! Reminded me of Brick Toast dessert. The service was great, place was clean, and there are seating areas both inside and out. They are located in a strip mall with ample parking. I encourage you to sample some flavors before you choose your favorite. All there ice creams are wonderful so you can't go wrong! Enjoy! Happy Nom Nom!

Rameil A.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying ice cream is probably the most delicious thing in the world so there was nothing terribly wrong with this one either. Next everyone at the store was super nice. It was clean and they were very helpful. Now that we have that out-of-the-way, this store advertises itself as an artisanal internationally based travel ice cream. Whatever that means. All I know is that the scoops were small and the flavors were not as crazy and delicious in my opinion as Handel's or McConnell's, which are still as of today THE BEST. Go to Handel's ice cream store to experience a good ole American Midwest deliciousness instead of this minuscule international ice cream experience, blah blah blah blah blah. But it was ice cream and it was OK.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Wow. I went looking for a certain flavor I like and ended up finding a few new favorites. Black sesame is great but the Ube crunch is dream worthy. We went back for sending scoops. A fun place to try new flavors, much more so than most specialty ice cream or gelato places. Nothing we tried was way too sweet. Vegan options available. They really should consider selling pints and to go containers, but other than that, top notch. Also, the portion options are small for value.

Abby G.

Yelp
One of my favorite ice cream shops. The ube malted crunch and the pandan tres leche flavors are a must try!

Tishni W.

Yelp
Wanderlust creamery was a hidden gem in the valley and for a good reason and now it's one of the well known spots for ice cream. You cannot go wrong. The ube waffle cone with any seasonal flavor will lead to heaven. The only thing I wish is if they would have more south asian based flavors but an ode to flavors on the world -- regardless such a good vibe, service and truly a sensational experience with experience.

Edythe M.

Yelp
Flavors are artisan, quirky and plentiful. I like the unusual blends. I was a little bummed it melted quickly, low fat content I guess. I liked it but didn't love it, plenty of closer options but I'll give them a second chance

Angel C.

Yelp
Wowww this place rocks haha. Came here and beat the evening rush but the servers were super quick nonetheless. They were also really patient and allow you to try as many samples as you want, which I think is a must because everything is so one of a kind. My favorite one was the yuzu creamsicle but I'm such a sucker for yuzu I knew it would be exactly what I needed on a hot day! It was tart and sweet and had a perfect texture. I also got the chocolate which had a hint of black licorice which was kind of strange over time lol but the chocolate flavor was so full. My partner got a peach one and that was top three! Deff try three scoops in one lol.

June O.

Yelp
DELICIOUS ice cream with such unique, creative flavors! I recommend Japanese Neapolitan and Vietnamese Rocky Road as my top two favorites. Their portions are a bit smaller than other generic ice cream shops, but they are perfect enough to cool you down without upsetting your stomach. You can get 2 scoops for $7. This is my go-to ice cream store in the Valley!

Kristin K.

Yelp
So many bizarre flavors and particularly slow service. I ordered the hazelnut "Kinder" flavor, and was okay. Sort of one note, if you will. My husband had the smoky road, which he seemed to like, although it was extremely messy. My real objection was how poorly the young gentleman was at serving ice cream! It was as though a four year old with weakened muscles was trying to scoop for the very first time. Also, not sure why this site has only 1 $ rating. Single scoop for 3 people was over $22.

Claire G.

Yelp
Wanderlust is a great little gem, and now my favorite summertime treat spot! It definitely echoes that hip, monochromatic chic that LA is notorious for, but with a charming kick. This is the kind of ice cream shop that you go to if you're not the typical chocolate or vanilla person and want something different from your ice cream. With flavors like Thai Tea, Tres Leches and Earl Gray, this is definitely a place to explore the world's flavors. The staff is always on top of things and offers samples for those curious to try before they commit to a scoop. You can get a scoop in a cup, or in a homemade waffle cone that never disappoints.

Ron L.

Yelp
Eating at the most unusual ice cream and gelato store in Los Angeles. Melodie and I are having Sticky Rice with Mango and I am having a scoop of Blueberry and Elderberry and Melodie is having Hazelnut Praline and Chocolate.

Darisha J.

Yelp
Best ice cream, variety of flavors, many non dairy options, also sell pints of ice cream to take home

Emily C.

Yelp
Unique flavors around the world! I came here with a friend on a Friday, and I believe a few workers were being trained when we arrived because five staff members were working up at front. Which, is great if there were a lot of customers! But there wasn't (it was just us two when we arrived) so... I confess... it felt a bit intimidating to have all eyes on us. Okay, long story short, it felt awkward! So I kinda rushed into choosing what flavors I wanted... but that's okay! My problem for feeling awkward. I only took some stars off because the ice cream didn't taste as fresh or delicious as other places I've been to (like Salt & Straw, Dreyer's, etc.) Maybe it's the flavors I chose. It was just meh... I should probably come again and try different flavors next time, but as I mentioned, it just tasted OK... nothing really special... especially given the high price point. Nevertheless, don't let my experience sway you... decide yourself!

Daisy V.

Yelp
I love wanderlust but after this visit I guess that statement should read as I use to love wanderlust. I walked in excited I greeted the worker and she stood there in silence, making it a bit awkward. (Granted there's a possibly she did not hear me) After a couple of minutes of silence she then asked if we would like to try anything. I declined and stated that I knew what I wanted, i ordered the mango sticky rice as she is scooping she asked me if I wanted an other scoop and I said yes I'll take a double. She then said we don't do doubles so if you want an other scoop I'd have to put it in an other cup. Honestly i was confused and didn't question it and just took my $7 single scoop that looked like it was a kids scoop. The ice cream is good but the price point vs the scoop just doesn't make sense, you're better off going to salt and straw!

Elisa H.

Yelp
Been here many times but it's been a few years. We were very disappointed. First of all the portion size has shrunk considerably. A single scoop in a cup is just that, nothing extra. And the price has gone way up. The scooper was shaved so only the amount inside is released into the little cup. There used to be a choice between a cup or a cone now there's additional charge of $1.50 for a cone. Napkins used to be available on the counter now you have to ask for napkins and they gave us two two very small thin napkins. They also ran out of my husband's favorite flavor. How do you not have enough ? The outside eating area is dirty and the tables have writing on them, looks like they haven't been cleaned in days and the trash cans are overflowing. So sorry to see that one of our long time favorite ice cream places has slid all the way down the hill.

Christina D.

Yelp
What happened to this ice cream place? The last few times we have gone, all our favorite flavors were no longer available. We go for those flavors we like and like to sample the new ones. Just yesterday, we made a special trip to try their flavors of the month to celebrate filipino American month only to be told that they have been sold out of most of those flavors for the about a week. Come on.... How hard it is to make more if the flavor is popular. On top of that, our favorite flavor were no longer available. We did not care for some of the newer flavors. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Vivian N.

Yelp
So yummy! I've been to this location multiple times and I've never been disappointed! I think my absolute favorites from the signature menu are honey lavender, earl grey, and Vietnamese rocky roads. I've never been disappointed in any of their tea flavored ice creams, so I definitely recommend those if you're a tea lover!

Brennan E.

Yelp
Amazing assortment of flavors! They even have vegan options for those who enjoy that. Great service and a nice little outside area to boot. Highly recommend this place to anyone who likes ice cream.

Robert M.

Yelp
I've been going here for a while and think the product is good but not great. I'd love it if they had new interesting flavors. Seems like the menu stays the same.

Maddy M.

Yelp
Whenever I am in the mood for chocolate, Wanderlust is top of my list. I cannot get over their Gianduja flavor. It's vegan, which is surprising because it is the richest most delicious chocolate ice cream I've had of all the boutique-y ice cream shops. Overall their selection of flavors is always interesting and I like that they change their flavors seasonally. I've tried some of their other flavors and I feel like while they have just a hint of the flavoring as reads in the description. I wish the flavors were a little more bold! But overall, their ice cream is tasty and very rich. It's a great place to take friends who have never tried it before! I find that people are often impressed by their unique offerings. I love their ube cones!! I gave it 4 stars because recently I feel that the customer service has been lacking a little. The employees behind the counter just scoop and ring you out. While they do let you try flavors before you decide, I wish I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. They do often have a line. I won't ever come here on a Saturday night for that reason. It gets BUSY. The layout of the shop itself is a little cramped and claustrophobic. It's hard to stand inside, especially if you are there with more than one other person. There's no distancing between the people behind you since everyone tries to cramp inside the store while they wait to order. They also have pints to go if you are looking to take some home! Also sign up for their rewards program to get a free cone or scoop with the points you earn :)

Erika B.

Yelp
I really appreciate their unique flavors from many different cultures! One of the flavors I got was alright but I would love to try a few more to find ones I really like! The staff was kind and we enjoyed our ice cream seated outside.
