The 15 Best Korean Barbecue Restaurants in Orange County | Eater LA

"If looking for an affordably priced all-you-can-eat experience, family-owned Wang Cho has it covered. Though the restaurant started in Chino over 10 years ago, it has since opened another location in Santa Ana near Southcoast Plaza. Even with three distinct AYCE tiers to choose from, each comes with over 20 meat options. The most commonly ordered cuts are the Angus beef brisket, marinated beef bulgogi, and the LA short ribs. The flavorful marinades stand out in particular, with options like basil pork belly, smoked honey barbecue chicken, and rosemary spicy shrimp." - Cathy Park

Google
Great place for an AYCE Korean BBQ. We came in a group of 4 (+1 baby) and ordered the King menu for each of us. I recommended the first 9 items. They were really good. Garlic butter shrimps, tofu stew, and steamed egg were on point. House noodle soup was also very tasty, as well as corn cheese. Assorted vegetables were also very fresh. The only thing I disliked was rice soup. It was very plain, like basically just roasted rice with boiled water. The service was fast. Staff were nice and helpful. They moved fast, served fast and cleaned fast, too. I would recommend this place if you like Korean BBQ and AYCE.

It was a great experience and great food. For a Saturday night, we were seated promptly. Overall, be ready to have an excellent meal and give yourselves at least an hour and a half to really enjoy it. It's great to take the wife have a drink or two and catch up on your weekly conversations. Stop by and enjoy.

My friend and I decided to try out this restaurant for the first time. I've been to many different Korean BBQ places before, but I have to say that I was really let down by the service, food, and cleanliness of this particular restaurant. It felt like a "sit, order, eat, and leave" kind of place. We had to cook our own food, which is not what I'm used to. Usually, at the other Korean BBQ places I've been to, the servers or waitresses would cook the food for us, especially if it was our first time, to ensure we had the best experience. But that wasn't the case here. The servers and waitresses didn't engage in any small talk or check in on us to try and establish a connection with the customers. The meat was just okay, but the stew was completely tasteless. It felt like I was eating watered-down stew instead of something flavorful (we ordered the tofu stew and another item). And don't even get me started on the state of the bathrooms. They were so dirty that it almost made me sick. Almost every toilet was clogged, except for one. I understand that the restaurant was busy and short-staffed, but it's important to regularly and frequently check and clean the restrooms, as well as ensure that the toilets are working properly. If they couldn't fix the issue, they should have at least put up a sign or notice saying that the bathroom was closed. Overall, for our first time at this restaurant, we were extremely disappointed with how we were treated, the lack of cleanliness, and the poor quality of the food. Thankfully, one of the managers gave us a discount, but it will be difficult for us to give this place another chance. We were truly shocked and left feeling very disappointed.

Google
It's a good place to go. Their cut on their meat is not lost in their price. Although we paid for the king menu, so the cuts ought to be good (i.e. not too too fatty brisket). The service went down when they got too busy though. Our initial waitress "abandoned" us for 45 minutes. I suppose that's how it is for most restaurants. Luckily my friend saw a friend who works there! So we receive consistent service after that. So... It's (only) a good place to go.

Google
I like that you can pick a tier and it’s ask you can eat anything on that section of the menu. I have been to Korean BBQ places before but not all you can eat. We had a large group of about 20 after a graduation and they took care of us. Everyone was really nice and they made sure everybody got what they wanted. I liked so the options, the soup, the sides, the meat options. We all got the prince option but next time I’ll go up a tear so I can choose seafood. I highly recommend this place if you like Korean BBQ.

Google
The store is huge. Fast and friendly service. Their menu is top notch compared to other AYCE locations. The King menu has intestine which you can rarely find at the others.

Google
Pretty good Korean bbq spot the staff was amazing and the restaurant was really nice. Definitely will be returning and recommend.

Yelp
I've been to quite a few KBBQ places around so cal and everyone has their "this is THE spot" . Well this is that place for me. Everytime I come here with my boyfriend the service is always amazing. The servers are always friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Never have an issue with food quality (or quantity, as some places give you very little) . Would highly recommend this place to people who are either new to KBBQ or want an ayce location that is worth your money. Did I mention they have amazing soju cocktails?

Yelp
If you like meat... a lot, you find yourself at an utter convenience. Steak, chicken, heck even octopus if you are down for an adventure it is all immaculate. The service is great and they continue to bring out A+ food to add to the grill. You can cook everything just how you like, right in front of you on the grill. All in all, wang cho's is an absolute must and I will continue to recommend it to everyone.

Walker W.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Our food was delivered to us very quickly and all the meat was top notch. I would highly recommend the steamed egg as well.

Yelp
Fam Visit down to SoCal with a friend's rec for an early Father's Day lunch! Large 1st portions of beef belly, bulgogi, brisket etc... 2nd portions are normal. Also ordered corn cheese- yum green salad-no hype noodle soup(eh-lack of flavor) Steamed egg-good Newbies-Make sure if u order lunch special, that u get that price ($26) we were told to scan the QR code menu on table and ordered-not knowing it was gonna b the higher price! Explained and was adjusted- thank you! Clean restaurant! Clean bathrooms! All in all- we would return but would seek out other multitude of kbbq in SoCal.

Yelp
I don't go out to eat KBBQ very often anymore, but I came here with a large group of coworkers/friends, and it was wonderful! Our server's name was Jaswa, and he killed it! We were being especially rowdy and goofy, and he didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, he was super accommodating and chill! The food was really good too! Lotsa brisket for me, and beef tongue too! Whenever I go to KBBQ, I like to keep it simple, so I'm often ordering non-marinated meats, and going ham on unlimited sides as well! I especially like that thinly sliced pickled radish. Other notable goodies include the corn cheese, pork belly, and beef belly. We also got a steamed egg. Who doesn't love a steamed egg? It's fluffy, savory, somewhat sweet, and STEAMING hot. Those koreans really know how to keep hot food hot! Wang Cho? Go, bro!

Yelp
I was a bit skeptical coming to this spot as I saw quite a few one star reviews, but I thought I'd try it out since I didn't want to travel more than 5 miles for Korean bbq. Coming in, the hosts were very kind and they sat us right away. At the moment my partner is handicap and has issues with sitting on hard chairs so I felt bad requesting a booth, but they had accommodated us without making us feel guilty and all which I really appreciated. Our server was very nice too! He took our orders fairly quick and our meats were brought out instantly. I honestly loved the meats! The bulgogi had a lot of flavor, but I will say the brisket and steak didn't were kinda dry. I really needed to dip those ones in the sauces provided to us. But other than that, everything was great! I loved the corn cheese and the spicy tofu soup. It was so goood. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back at all if I'm in the area!

Yelp
Meh, wasn't great but wasn't bad, I've had better AYCE KBBQ at other places. The service was good and the only thing memorable to me was the cheese corn.

Yelp
We came here on a random whim, like saw it on the corner of the stoplight and flipped a U and came in and ate. For such a random spot we didn't know of, it was delicious! They had a pretty good variety of meats and chicken and sauces to try. They were busy and the staff wasn't as attentive as I would have liked, we ran out of water and waited a bit for the food, but overall it was a good experience and I would come back.
google avatar

Yelp
went here recently & loved my experience! the food was good & the service was fast! their dinner menu is around ~$33 which is normal for kbbq. their bartender bryant was super friendly & so FUNNY and the drinks he made were delicious!
google avatar

Zien T.

Yelp
One of the best Korean bbq! Made reservations with a big group of friends and they were able to accommodate also kids (private room). The food is good and also the service! Ambiance is welcoming and you can celebrate a big party in the restaurant. I will definitely come back!
google avatar

Janette B.

Yelp
Their website says they close at midnight. We came on a Saturday night at 10pm, they told us last call in 10 minutes. We drove an hour to get here! Service was fast and efficient, however. Our server said they weren't busy this evening, so the "Manager" decided to close shop early. Hah! How about that. As we were still eating, the staff started cleaning up to close around us--mopping the floors, putting chairs on top of tables, and even having someone stand right next to our table, holding a mop! Clearly waiting for us to finish. So rude! We understand that every business has closing hours, but there's a way to handle it without making customers feel rushed or unwelcome. Instead of allowing us to enjoy our meal, we felt pressured to hurry up and leave. It completely ruined the experience, and we left feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied. They should have waited until after we were finished to begin cleanup. At least the section where all the other customers were. Sadly, this lack of courtesy and professionalism overshadowed everything else.

Yelp
I wouldn't say this is my favorite KBBQ spot, but it does the job! I came here with a group of friends, and we had a good time. The meat and side dishes were good, the servers were attentive, and the restaurant was very clean. Parking was also very easy. Definitely worth a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Always love hitting this spot for ayce KBBQ. Service is attentive and the lowest tier menu serves us best. You will walk out smelling like bbq but that is a given.

Yelp
Happy birthday to me! I love some KBBQ for my birthday dinner and Wang Cho is our go to!! The restaurant is large inside with seating options all over for big or small parties. The menu is generous for the price, the service is fast and friendly, this place DOES IT RIGHT! The meat tastes fresh and seasoned perfectly. I really love coming here it is a great experience everytime. Thank you Wang Cho!

Yelp
"Everybody Wang Cho'ng tonight!" I've been to this spot a few times with my friend AA, and it's clear why it's his go-to for AYCE KBBQ. He's at Wang Cho Korean BBQ almost weekly, so much that I'm pretty sure the staff know him by name - HA! I joke but I'm sure it's true. Since this place is like a second home for AA, I let him take the lead on both the ordering and the grilling for us. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=504&select=lvcAQTXidN2VHQoRQXN2nA Wang Cho Korean BBQ delivers a solid Korean BBQ. The all-you-can-eat option offers a wide selection of meats, including beef brisket, short ribs, and pork belly, all of which come well-marinated and flavorful. The meat quality is good for the price, though some cuts could be a little fresher at times. Meats - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=504&select=1OEFq2l7At0Ygue4cwEwFw The banchan (side dishes) are generous, with kimchi, pickled radishes, and a nice variety of vegetables. While the variety isn't overwhelming, they complement the BBQ well, adding a balance of sweet, salty, and spicy flavors to the meal. Banchan - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=504&select=9pxF38GsIGG-yFIECEjlXA One standout aspect of Wang Cho is the great service. The staff are quick to refill banchan and drinks and replace grills before they get too charred - an important detail that makes the dining experience more enjoyable. (The last AYCE Korean BBQ place that AA and I went to, wasn't so diligent in replacing the grill and he made note of it.) The restaurant gets busy, especially on weekends, but the servers still manage to stay on top of things without making you feel rushed. Dipping sauces - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=504&select=dJjEO1XbCDSAWDd_34_MCA The atmosphere is lively and loud, which is to be expected in a Korean BBQ joint, but it may not be the best spot if you're looking for an intimate or quiet dinner. It's a great place for groups, especially since they have larger tables that can accommodate parties easily. Pricing is fair for what you get, though the premium menu is definitely worth the few extra dollars if you're a fan of more specialty meats like galbi or rib-eye. Overall, Wang Cho is a solid pick if you're craving some KBBQ in Orange County. The food, service, and ambiance make it a fun spot for a casual night out with friends or family, especially if you're ready to indulge in some serious BBQ feasting! I'm looking forward to the next time we return. - Big Aloha! Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Value: 4

Yelp
First of all, this restaurant is very accommodating big party. We were able to get reservation for 13 people through phone call during diner rush. Overall service is fast and professional. Menu has variety of options including meat/ soup/ appetizer. I enjoyed the beef belly / tongue very much

Yelp
Excellent Service. Great Food Options! Great Ambience. The staff is constantly checking on you for food refills. My place of choice when craving Korean BBQ. Highly recommend!

Yelp
On it's website, Wang Cho Korean BBQ states that it is "California's premier all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant". In addition to this Santa Ana Store, there are locations in Chino and Riverside. The system is easy. They have three packages: the Prince, the King and the Emperor. Compared to the Prince, the King has a longer list of items to choose from; and the Emperor has a more robust selection than both the Prince and King. On this occasion, our group of three each chose the Prince (3 x $33.00). We also ordered a hot tea ($2.95), Sapporo draft ($7.00) and Coors Light bottle ($5.50). With tax ($10.58), our ticket was $125.03 before gratuity. We were provided with a good selection of banchan (side dishes). All of the banchan were "good" in both quality and taste, but nothing was particularly noteworthy. The thing I appreciated was the wide selection. The proteins ordered (beef, pork, chicken, octopus) was good quality; and the food was seasoned well, too. The store was well staffed. Getting a hold of someone to make an additional request was always easy. And someone came by regularly to exchange fresh griddle plates onto the BBQ. In short, the food was good; the service was very good; the environment was neat (clean); the exhaust fans worked really well.

Yelp
Went during lunch on a Saturday - and the service and food were impeccable. I highly recommend the Garlic Pork Belly and Rosemary shrimp - so be sure to eat like a King, and get the king menu Ambiance was pretty normal for a KBBQ place - but I have to say some of the best service I've ever had.

Yelp
Some friends and I were in the mood for Korean BBQ and we usually go to another popular place but I discovered they got rid of all their live waitlists and we didn't feel like waiting an hour in line in the hot sun. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I searched for somewhere else to go and came across Wang Cho so we decided to give it a try. I appreciate any restaurant that has a live waitlist as nobody likes to wait a long time to eat. I was a little concerned that the waitlist said there was no wait when we were about to arrive at 6pm on a week night. We walked in and were seated immediately as it didn't look busy but it became a lot more busy over the next hour. The restaurant is spacious, has high ceilings, great ventilation, and the tables are spread out well. The restrooms are large and very clean. The All-You-Can-Eat menu has three different price levels and the higher priced options have more items available. We went for the King option which seemed like the sweet spot and $12 less expensive than that other place we usually go which has a regular and premium option but nothing in between. Banchan is served first including bean sprouts, pickled cucumbers, glass noodies, kimchi, macaroni salad, and regular salad. The King menu has 43 different food options and we ordered a lot of the meats and seafood. Everything was delicious and my favorites were the LA marinated short ribs, Angus beef brisket, beef bulgogi, Wang Cho steak, and garlic butter shrimp. Service was excellent and there was a whole team of servers bringing platters of new food, clearing away empty platters, putting in fresh grills, and refilling drinks in a friendly and timely manner. The amazing thing is that even when the restaurant got very busy, there was barely any smoke in the air. I usually come home from the other KBBQ place smelling like I have been standing over the grill all night but not here. Wang Cho really is a hidden gem and this is now our new regular KBBQ spot.

Yelp
tldr: YUM! AYCE KBBQ so yummy. We got here around 6pm on Thursday and there were plenty of tables open to seat our party of 5 immediately. Our servers were so good and the meat came out so fast. The plates were actually very cold and the meats were nice and solid because they were cold too. The servers were great in checking in with us to see if we needed to order any more and changed our grills several times. Your entire party has to order from the same menu, but the Prince which is the cheapest option at 33 per person was more than enough for both the meats and side dishes. Make sure you get some extra sesame oil, rice paper, radish paper! The bulgogi is nice and sweet. The garlic pork belly was a surprising favorite of mine. The beef belly was super thin and stuck to the grill so it was hard to get off the grill. The spicy pork bulgogi wasn't spicy enough. A solid favorite and great service! Would definitely come again :)
google avatar

Ryan N.

Yelp
I came here on 4/27/25 with friends for lunch. This is our go to spot for kbbq. The food and service is always excellent which are the reasons we come back. We usually order the King option at $38 per person. All the meats are good but the LA Marinated Short rib and Beef Rib Finger stand out. I would return and definitely recommend.
google avatar

Wayne T.

Yelp
I came here with my good friend at around 3ish or 4ish. It was still slow, so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The menu comes in 3 different meal options which are Prince, King, and Emperor. Cheapest one is Prince, which is about 30-35 dollars I think. There are a variety of options to choose just for the cheapest option. Me and my friend mostly just ordered spicy beef brisket and spicy beef belly, which came as good meat quality. Servers here were pretty good too. They respond quickly and I can see how hard they work by running around. My only issue with this place is really just the grill. It's either that or the flame, but the grills burns up quickly. So every time meat gets put onto the grill, it will start to get burnt quickly. So we had to keep asking the servers to constantly change it. This place was quite large for a KBBQ spot. It kinda feels like Gen.
google avatar

Mikey V.

Yelp
Probably not my top favorite Kbbq spot but it's still good. I normally just get brisket and it didn't disappoint. I also tried Bulgogi and it was just alright. I thought the spicy bulgogi would have more flavor but it was just bland without the dipping sauces. I could have skipped the garlic chicken and had the teriyaki chicken instead cause that was good. There wasn't not enough banchan options here. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area, but it's not my first choice
google avatar

Anu V.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite KBBQ spot in SoCal! I've tried quite a few AYCE places, and this one always comes out on top. They offer a great variety of meats with three pricing tiers--I usually go for the second tier because I'm obsessed with their short ribs! Their brisket sauce is also my favorite out of all the KBBQ spots I've tried. One of the best parts? There's rarely ever a wait, even on weekends and during peak hours. The space is clean, roomy, and just has a great vibe overall. The staff is super friendly and always quick with service. I always leave happy--can't recommend this place enough!
google avatar

Yelp
Tried a few more dishes today. The lowest price tier "Prince" is sufficient. The following items are great... Beef Bugolgi Beef Belly (it's shaved paper thin) Cali Steak Sausage Vegetables Cheese Corn Garlic Chicken Pork Bulgogi Fried chicken (has sweet n sour sauce) LA marinated short rib (higher tier item) There following items are average... Marinated pork ribs (bit rubbery) Smoked honey bbq chicken Brisket Pork belly Shrimp (higher tier item; it's shell on which is a pain) The following items are not that great... Fire cheese chicken (meh red sauce) Beef rib finger (higher tier item) Wang Cho steak (higher tier item) We also love the huge bottle of Hite beer, the Blue Moon on tap, and the Nautilus Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Mariah G.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night cause we were craving KBBQ. Love how you can add your name to the waitlist when you're otw there. Service was quick and were able to order a lot at once. This place has all my KBBQ essentials such as corn cheese, steamed egg, steak, brisket, soju, japchae, and more. One of my favorite places for AYCE.
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
All you can eat $35 dollars I can't believe they charge for kids under 6, like how much is a child going to eat....... We were starving and didn't even realize they didn't bring us any sides, just rice paper and lettuce. :( Service was great and fast They def have to work on the "tofu stew", it's spicy water with the tofu. Meh Meats 1,2,3,6 were good and so was the pork belly. Plenty of space and they are open unlike the others that reopen in the evening

Sharon K.

Yelp
Good food but saw a cockroach!!! and super dusty ceilings. Great food but the cockroach makes me hesitant to go back
google avatar

Dana L.

Yelp
Meats are delicious, side dishes are plentiful and the servers here hustle and work really hard. They changed our grill for us so many times and we could easily order more meat from the menu. The parking was super easy in the shopping complex, and we showed up without a reservation but it was a very short wait for a table for 4. Everyone at the table has to agree to one of the three set menus. The meats came quickly and were fresh. The pickled vegetables were awesome, especially the cucumbers and radish wraps. The one downside is that it was somewhat hard to hear conversations but the ambiance was fun and it's a great group activity.
google avatar

Dagoberto P.

Yelp
Service has definitely improved since the last time I came. They checked on us before our meat was all cooked, which is always a good sign of attentive staff. With every kbbq place, I have to judge them on their salad as it is a staple for me. Their lettuce is CWISP (crisp) but their dressing had a hint of wasabi which threw it off for me. It was fresh, but it was hard to eat with the dressing. The meat quality was good too; I love the variety of the menu even with getting their cheapest menu choice. Their sides are also top tier with the Japchae. This might be my go to for AYCE kbbq.
google avatar

Ernest C.

Yelp
For AYCE, the Emperors meat quality is good. Our 이모's service was exceptional. Even though it was busy, she answered questions, providing great suggestions and making sure we were okay during our whole meal. People like this can make an average meal a great experience that wants to make you come back.
google avatar

Yelp
A decent All You Can Eat Korean BBQ option in the area, but not my favorite so far. It is advertised as a bit cheaper than the other options in the area, but if I am already splurging for KBBQ, I would rather pay a bit more for the better options in Koreatown or other cities that are close enough to drive to. I will admit that I was a bit under the weather when I ate here, so I won't judge too much on the quality. The staff were helpful and service was quick which was good. Only other complaint is that for two people, they made us sit at these circle tables across from each other; I think I prefer square/rectangle tables for such interactive meals like this.

Onder K.

Yelp
I just want to take a moment to highlight the exceptional experience I had at Wang Cho with Jaswa our server. Second time he is serving to our table. At the first time I forgot to give review. We had king menu. Marinated boneless beef another level. From start to finish, Jaswa went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. His professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care truly stood out. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but he handled every interaction with kindness, patience, and respect. Whether it was answering detailed questions or helping resolve an issue, Wung Cho did it all with a calm and welcoming attitude. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated and positive, and I truly believe the Jaswa server is lucky to have him. Jaswa brings an uplifting energy that makes the whole environment better. Thank you, Wung Cho, for your amazing service! Keep shining!

Yelp
Overall, it was good. There's lots of parking and easy to get into the area, it's not far from South Coast Plaza. They had three tiers to choose from, we opted for the King because I really wanted shrimp. We ordered so many different plates but my favorite was the beef brisket. I had two plates of beef brisket. I like to make mine a little crispy and wrap it up in the rice wrapper dipped with the different sauces mixed in with the salad. The plates of food came out quickly so that was great for us because we were hungry. The meat quality was decent, especially for being an AYCE KBBQ. I missed not having onions or butter to prevent the meat from sticking to the grill. I do admit that they switched out the grill pretty frequently.
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
Came here with a party of 6. Food/meat was okay. We got lots of meat and enjoyed lots of their sides. The place was really loud and not the cleanest spot. They limited 4 orders of meat at a time but didn't come very often to take more orders. The service was pretty slow and the server rarely came to the table- maybe because they were a lot of customers. The food was okay but the low rating is mainly because we'd order certain sides or meats and they'd either forget about it or take really long to come over. I don't know if I'd come to this particular ayce spot.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Great all you can eat Korean BBQ. We got one of the inside booths, seating was comfortable. Reasonably nice atmosphere for a casual special occasion. The Banchan side dishes were pretty good, I really liked the macaroni salad. We selected the King menu, I think it's one of the best selections because it has the marinated short ribs and steak. I feel like the Emperor selection is missing the true high-end selection other Korean BBQ places have available. But overall this place has a variety of good options even on the lowest tier. I do wish the menu had some pictures though. It was busy the night we went and service was pretty good, with regular grill changes and asking for orders.

Yelp
Best Korean BBQ I have been to a little pricey but it's good fast service forsure would come back again

Yelp
Let me just say the thing that is impressive about this place is the service. A lot of Asian places are known for having bad service but the servers here work HARD. They were constantly moving, helping, serving food and it was impressive. They deserve all the tip they get. As for the food, I strongly recommend sticking with the beef items here. We ordered a few non beef items like pork and seafood were just OK. But the beef items were the star. I'm not going to recommend one in particular because everyone has their preferences. Just get what you like and it will be be delicious. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Wang Cho Korean bbq never disappoints. Inside the place is clean and well kept. There's plenty of seating so you don't have to worry about the wait times here. There's three menu tier level items to choose from and you cannot mix lower tier with higher tier. The party will all have to agree on one tier. The service is always great and you get many different servers and bus boys helping to clean up your table from your empty plates and they are quick with bringing out your food to you after you order. You'll get a 2 hour time limit to eat your food which should be plenty of time. Most of the meats are delicious and are packed with flavor. I love their Bulgolgi beef, garlic pork belly, and their short ribs. Pretty much all the meats are pretty good. Only thing I wish was that they had more sides to give you. I had a great experience here and I think you will too. Whether it's with family or friends, this place will not disappoint.

Yelp
We LOVE Wang Cho and come here every chance we can, the selection of meat even with just the price menu is amazing and we've never had a bad experience

Yelp
Service was terrible, our waiter showed up once after he sat us down and from there the boss boy was helping us. The hostess told us there was a lunch special and in the end they charged us full price. The meet was flavorless and the amount of side dishes they give you is ridiculous. 1-3 side dishes with one cucumber and like three stands of kimchi. Have you heard of Mr.BBQ? Well run there. Better service, cleaner, better meat quality and no lies on the menu.

Yelp
I don't know how many times I've come here and ALWAYS forget to take pictures & leave a review! I guess I'm just too excited every time! My family and I LOVE coming here, we really do believe this is the best place for Korean BBQ, even after trying different restaurants. We came in on a Friday night at about 6:30 and were sat right away but that is how fast we usually get sat regardless of time and day, I think because of how big the restaurant is. We always order the brisket, spicy pork bulgogi, beef bulgogi, and spicy pork belly. (Usually with a few others sprinkled in depending on what we are craving.) We also always order spicy rice cakes, corn cheese, and usually have to order refills of the cucumbers, salad, glass noodles, macaroni salad, and spicy sauce (I like to combine all my banchan with my rice). The restaurant itself is always very clean and they come around very often to change the grills.

Yelp
I would give this place 4.5 Stars, but I'll round up! Had a pretty good experience here, AYCE, price ranges from $33-$40ish depending on what tier you get; higher the tier the more choices. Sides were decent, they had macaroni salad, jap chae(this is a plus! Some AYCE kbbq don't have this!), kimchi, been sprouts, cucumber, rice paper, good salad! Meats and sides are super fresh, meat is very soft and tender, beef belly, beef tongue, brisket are my go to and they were all good! They also have cheese corn! A few criticisms is that the tofu soup and the egg soup tasted kinda bland, watered down, little flavor. Beef tongue cut was kind thick, it was hard to chew at one point (Otherwise taste is good).

Yelp
Updating my review cuz the service was crazy good! I guess I've been sleeping on Wang Cho a little bit! Decided to come here on a whim on a Thursday night. We used the Yelp waitlist which was oh so convenient. We were sat right away! We were tucked into a little corner of the restaurant so we worried a bit at first about not getting good service... boy oh boy were we wrong! The servers came by NON STOP and they were oh so quick. There were very few times where we had to initiate and ask the servers for anything. As soon as we emptied a dish, someone came by to swoop it up. Servers came by often to check on us and see if we needed anything or wanted to order more meat. There were even people walking around to change grills! We never had to ask to change our grill -- we ended up changing grills about 3 or 4 times throughout our meal because the servers came up to us and asked US if we wanted to change our grill. AWESOME SERVICE! The service was so fast that I truly felt like I was eating constantly. There was hardly any dead time in which we were trying to flag down a server. We tried a few things: brisket, bulgogi, beef belly, pork belly, and steamed egg. We also tried different banchans and of course asked for rice and rice paper. I asked them for a LOT of hot sauce and bonus points for them for taking me seriously because they actually filled up a whole bowl. My favorite had to be the brisket (but brisket is my bias). I also really enjoyed the beef belly. Pork belly was good! I wish we got to try the marinated pork bellies, but my own belly had no more space. Bulgogi was fine, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The steamed egg was good but was a bit overcooked (probably just steamed for too long). Overall, the brisket and beef belly is where it's at!!! If you want a no nonsense KBBQ experience with great service and good food, this is where to go!

Yelp
This review is for Saturday Dec 23rd around 8pm. As we entered the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a host. Asked us how many, She then walked us to our table. We then got greeted by our waiter totally forgot her name but she was so nice and attentive. I feel like today the service was top notch other times it was kinda slow lol. We opt to the prince menu getting the classics ofc! They do have 3 menus you can choose from. I love their banchan , salads and tofu stew. Fire And they def have an open bar! For all you soju lovers they def have soju cocktail ! Great food, great ambiance and great service (: There's always room for dessert lol Don't forget to try their macron ice cream sandwich! Will be coming back

Yelp
As an Asian who eats a lot of kbbq, it's really not good. Meat - Dry and chewy Banchan - Few and not flavorful Sauce - Not flavorful enough and not at the slightest sour/tangy for the brisket sauce and radish paper. Overall it was not an enjoyable kbbq experience

Yelp
So this isn't my first rodeo with Wang Cho. First visit was at the Chino Hills location and I loved EVERYTHING they served us. Finding out that there's one closer to me, Santa Ana, I nearly fainted LOL so I told my gf about it and we're here probablyyyyy a few times a month hahah! But enough of the introduction, lets talk about food! FOOD You're starving. You want mouthwatering meat with heartwarming tofu soup and to top it off, all the sides you can think of! If I like something, I'll stick to it. Their BRISKETS and BEEF BELLY. You cannot go wrong with those 2 items, the Bulgogi and Pork Belly are on the same boat but be sure to have some extra brisket sauce cause that thing is liquid magic. Can I also say that the sides are just the perfect abundance of what you need? It's fresh, presentable and of course unlimited! [Just gotta ask ;)] And I can never leave without having both the tofu soup and egg soup. I just eat too much lmao! SERVICE & ENVIRONMENT So I want to give a shout out to the servers during the weekend of January 13, 2024 around 2pm-ish. Ya'll were so attentive and super nice, the grill changing was just out of this world that I couldn't keep up LOL You need more sides? Garlic? Jalapeno? MORE MEAT!? Count on the servers here! They got your back! The environment. Oh the environment. I love every bit of it. I want to add that I never have to fight for parking, I don't have to wait 20mins+ just to get our table. It's like the second we get there we're instantly seated! AND in a comfy booth that have super awesome grills that suck the smoke so you won't be leaving smelling like a KBBQ restaurant LOL That's a definite 10 out of 10 in my book! OVERALL This is my go-to kbbq spot. If you're in the area, definitely check it out! And then you can take a walk at the South Coast Plaza mall from eating so much hahah! Food Quality: 10/10 Service: a spicy 10/10 Location: 10/10 (Don't park under the trees, there are birds waiting o.o)

Yelp
Family wanted to try out a spot near their new place so we decided to come here. It's very spacious and had a lot of seating. Pretty clean too. But we don't care about that, now do we lol. The meat quality was honestly lacking and it felt very catered to "foreigners" (as we say in Korean). Doesn't mean it's bad, just gave that unauthentic feel. Really felt like they were using lower quality food because non-Koreans wouldn't know otherwise. It was comparable to Gen kbbq-- not out of this world, but reliable-ish? I felt that it wasn't worth the money since I can find plenty of spots within the same price range with higher standards. That being said, the staff were all very nice and attentive. Unfortunately, I won't be back here again
