Three Houston Restaurant Openings Diners Need to Know About | Eater Houston

"Rising from the flood waters that ravaged the longtime Downtown Spaghetti Warehouse after Hurricane Harvey, Warehouse 72 officially opens August 1 with an industrial design, mural art, and an updated menu. Jaime Salazar, formerly of River Oaks' Brasserie 19, revamped the menu with more Mediterranean influences — think Za’atar roasted chicken with Aleppo pepper and a fresh cilantro salad; Mediterranean grilled octopus; and angel hair pasta with truffle cream sauce, grated fresh black truffles, and parmesan cheese. Salazar is also flexing his culinary muscles with house-made mozzarella used on pizzas and bruschetta, and multi-course chef tasting menus are available. Die-hard Spaghetti Warehouse fans won’t be disappointed: old favorites like spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and lasagne make an appearance on the menu." - Alaena Hostetter

Spaghetti Warehouse’s Spinoff Restaurant Sets an Opening Date for August | Eater Houston

"After months of delays and multiple revised timelines (initially slated for fall 2018 and later pushed to spring due to permitting issues), the new casual pizza-and-pasta restaurant outpost at the Marq*E Entertainment Center is now slated to open in August, replacing an earlier July 22 date that briefly appeared on the restaurant’s website before PR confirmed the change. The 8,650-square-foot space will feature a patio and a private dining room; a previously planned grab-and-go retail component has been dropped. The chain’s downtown location suffered extensive damage during Hurricane Harvey in 2017." - Adele Chapin

Spaghetti Warehouse’s New Spinoff Restaurant Now Slated to Open in March | Eater Houston

"Slated to open in spring, the pasta-and-pizza concept at 7620 Katy Freeway, Suite 305 in the Marq-E Entertainment Center currently lists on its website: “Warehouse 72 is coming soon: March 2019.” The opening was pushed from a planned fall debut, and a spokesperson told the Houston Business Journal that permitting issues caused the delay. When it opens, it will include a private events space and a selection of grab-and-go items for purchase. The restaurant's name pays homage to the year that Spaghetti Warehouse first opened its doors in Dallas, and the beloved chain’s Downtown location suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Harvey in 2017." - Adele Chapin

Spaghetti Warehouse Returns to Houston With a New Name and Location | Eater Houston

"Opening this fall at 7620 Katy Freeway in the Marq-E Entertainment Center, this 8,600-square-foot casual restaurant—launched as a spin-off a year after the downtown Spaghetti Warehouse location was damaged by Hurricane Harvey—features industrial indoor-outdoor design with 22-foot ceilings, table-and-chair seating, a two-sided bar serving both the dining room and a 740-square-foot patio, and windows that open depending on the weather. The space includes a private, AV-equipped dining room and an on-site retail store stocked with prepared foods for takeout. Executive Chef Don Flores (most recently of Katsuya in Los Angeles, with prior experience at several NYC restaurants) will revamp the menu while retaining some longtime favorites; offerings will include pasta and pizza plus American dishes with a Mediterranean twist such as short ribs roasted with Italian herbs and pickled baby carrots, a traditional porchetta stuffed with fresh herbs, roasted garlic and chili served with seasonal vegetables, roasted Brussels sprouts, warm beets with whipped herb goat cheese, and a Pizza Guanciale (Neapolitan-style pie with whipped mozzarella, Berkshire sausage, Tuscan pesto and local honey). Beverage options will include craft cocktails, sangria, Italian wines, and local and national beers. The kitchen is road-testing dishes at a pop-up at Evelyn’s Park prior to the regular opening." - Alaena Hostetter

We celebrated a Christmas party here, and everything was wonderful. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy, with beautiful artwork and a stylish interior that made the evening even more enjoyable. The service was excellent. I ordered the octopus with potatoes and a burrata salad — everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. My husband had a steak, which he also really enjoyed. The desserts were great, and the coffee was excellent as well. The place is spacious and very comfortable, perfect for celebrations or gatherings with friends. Overall, a lovely experience with great food, good service, and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Google
The customer service is excellent, probably the best in Houston. It’s located off i10 so there’s plenty of parking and other things to do in the area. My only issue (personal preference) the food is not good. It’s flavorless including the dessert which was shocking. I recently went there and had the prix fixe menu. The lobster bisque tasted and looked like tomato soup. Very shocking. The paste was not good; the sauce just and seasonings were bland. The peppermint bark cheesecake, was the worst. I was shocked at the cheesecake. No flavor, it wasn’t even sweet. My friend who had dinner with me agreed, the food is bland. The drinks were fine. Again, my personal opinion, check it out for yourself.

I went here for a 25th birthday party. It was a nice setup. There was a private room. The food was good. I enjoyed the herb roasted salmon, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I'm not really a big eater of brussel sprouts, but I could see myself eating these everyday. We didn't try any of the desserts as we had a set menu. The fresh House made mozzarella Patty was on point! I'm wondering if they make the marinara sauce in-house as well. Overall, it was a good experience. The bathrooms were nice and neat as well. The servers that we had, Casey and Brent, were phenomenal, accommodating, and friendly! The food and service were worth the price .

We first came here on a whim but fell in love with the lamb chops. Not only that, the first time we came there was a Branzino which was to die for. That has not been on the menu lately, maybe due to the season, but I truly loved it. We recently came again, which makes this about our fifth visit, and wanted to try something different. We ordered the truffle fries and my husband immediately said he was not going to eat them. Guess what, he ended up eating the majority of them. They were flavorful, crunchy, and absolutely delicious. We also got a margherita pizza and let me tell you, it is one of the closest to what the ones in Italy taste like. If you are looking for that authentic flavor, get the pizza. I also ordered the fish, which was very good. Definitely try this place. Just make sure to make reservations since sometimes the restaurant is closed for private events.

We came in for the restaurant week experience and this place did not fall short of excellent. Caesar and his staff did a great job looking after us. The food was bursting with flavors and they even helped us pair the starter, entree, and desserts together. The truffle fries were surprisingly one of my favorites but the gnocchi was one of the best ive ever had. Sadly its only available this month and I plan on bringing my family to try it out! The NY strip was seasoned to perfection. Over all the restaurant is beautiful and clean plus the bartender was killing it with the drinks.

Stopped in for a quick cocktail and was greeted Daniel. Such a lovely person! Felt so welcomed, and so easy to have conversation with. Then was served at the bar by Jose and he greeted us with such a big smile! The drinks were delicious, and the banter was comforting! Would definitely recommend stopping in with your friend or loved one!

Google
We did our post wedding ceremony dinner here, about 30 people. Fabulous time, the staff was attentive, the food was delicious, and everything went great! If you're looking for a private event, 10/10 would highly recommend. Have been there there before for just a two person meal, similar experience: great food great service. Gorgeous interior, great lighting. And for the experience and location, excellent pricing! Also the the theater is right there, so great for a dinner+movie date. If you're on the fence, pick Warehouse 72 any time!

Yelp
Love the energy of this place! Loud, upbeat vibe. If you have a larger group they have a back room right off the main restaurant where you can still see out into the main restaurant. Speciality cocktails are a little pricey at $18 each. Had a WH72 old fashioned. It was good but $18 for buffalo trace isn't the best deal. Beet salad 5/5. Red & golden beets with balsamic & candied pecan. Was super super good. I got it with no cheese Complementary sour dough bread with herbed butter is a nice addition. I don't recall getting bread in past visits. Brazino with brussel sprouts (instead of potato puree) & spinach was a 4.5/5. Fish had a nice pan sear crispy crust on the outside with skin & tail on. Very tasty. And this was the fish without the cream/butter wine sauce it comes with. Spinach was super flavorful. This review was for a regular dinner night, however, I've been here a few times even for my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. The manager was super accommodating & easy to work with. He really made our rehearsal dinner special while still accommodating regular patrons on a Th night. If you have a large group, special occasion, give them a call to see how they may be able to accommodate your group.

Yelp
Excellent experience from start to finish. Fixed price menu food was perfect. From the salad, to the scampi, to the salmon to the cake. The staff was attentive and spot on with recommendations Will return

Yelp
Wanting to try someplace we've never been foot New Year's Eve, we made a reservation at Warehouse 72. First - the place is gorgeous! The murals on the walls are amazing and if you scan the link it shows how they made of the models, photographed them and then the artist painted them on the walls. Now the food - we started out with the Charred Octopus beautiful presentation and's my husband said it was very good. I did try it because I do want to start trying new things. It wasn't too bad The pesto and chorizo on the fish mixed well with IT and it don't taste too fishy. Next he had the Roasted Beet Salad - again, I'm not a fan of Beets but I tried it. I'm still not a fan of beets but he assured me that they were sweet and the arugula and goat cheese was delicious. For our entrees I had the 15 Layer Lasagna. It has Italian Pork Sausage in it which gave it a little bit of a sweet taste. Really good. I paired it with the Broccolini. I would've liked the broccolini to be steamed a minute longer, but it was really good. My husband had the Sous-Vide Pork Chops. 14oz Double cut pork chops over white polenta! Cooked perfectly and it came with crispy Brussels sprouts. He loved it. Said they were the best Brussel sprouts he'd had. The pork chop had a glaze on it and it was really delicious. For dessert we had an Expresso with the Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta. Oh my gawd. So good. The berries melted in your mouth. Our waiter, Francisco was so attentive! Great suggestions for food and wine. We had Quilt Cabernet. James and Cesar also visited our table. Everyone made it such a great experience. We'll definitely go back. They have so much more to taste!!

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! I was celebrating my birthday with a friend, and the staff were so sweet, they gave me a complimentary cake and a card with written messages. Also, when we were indecisive of what to choose for our entree, our server Cesar recommended the lamb chops, which we enjoyed immensely! Overall great experience.

Yelp
I just think this is a beautiful, intimate spot. I don't know why I haven't seen it packed out. The service and food has been amazing to me. I've been for restaurant week, date nights, & girls night, and always enjoy myself. They were recently participating at a Yelp event and gave us some amazing samples. So my friend and I went over to get more food and drinks. She got the Tuna Tartare and I got the Frozen s'mores. Im a s'more's fanatic & I didn't know that was on the menu! It was so good and enough to share! The staff at the bar took great care of us. I really hope this place lasts!

Yelp
Ok after five visits, I'm writing a review to share my appreciation for Warehouse 72's ability to consistently provide excellent meals. I've dined here one on one and with large parties, greater than twenty, on two occasions. The decor is contemporary with lots of art in the entry way opening up to a large dining room with an open kitchen concept. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. I'm now under the impression that they will likely do all dishes very well. They have an exceptional Roasted Beet salad that I'll never skip. On my last visit, I ordered the Duck Cassoulet which was a first for this duck lover. Nothing was left on my plate. My high score reflects the restaurant's consistent quality products including great cocktails.

Yelp
Great service. Pretty interior. Perfect for date nights. Overall a good experience. I would come here with friends or my partner for a cute date night. However, I do think the food was rather average for my tastes consider the prices.

Yelp
I have visited several times. Once for a Yelp event, a birthday and most recently for several alumni events. It is located in the area where Dave & Busters are located in the Marq-E Entertainment Center. There is a small patio in front when you arrive and the private room is where most of my experience has been is all the way to the rear. It is a glass front room with multiple tables for seating. My alumni has had a few football watch parties here. They have a varied menu with many choices to choose from. There is also a full bar up front. Its a place where you can have a private event with a fixed menu or you can order from the regular menu. I have tried several of their menu items and they have never disappointed. If you are looking to have a private event, reach out to them as there is a total financial threshold to hit for your food choices.

Yelp
We decided to come check out Warehouse 72 on a Thursday night before our show at the Improv. Not busy at all - probably about 4 tables total. Our waitress was superb - very friendly. All the items we ordered were delicious. Not sure why this place isn't more popular - maybe on the weekends? The interior is beautiful and the food is solid.

Yelp
This was my final HRW stop making it a total of 10 this year, a new personal best! Walking up to the restaurant the first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful murals painted on the walls. Walking inside you see more beautiful murals around the interior walls. The dinning area is very spacious with an open concept. You can actually see the chiefs preparing the food or playing flip cup as it was slow during our visit. When the hostess took us to our table I thought it was cute how he positioned the table setting next to each other. Felt like he did me a solid to have my date closer to me. This HRW menu was on the nicer side with four courses. My date started out with the fried mozzarella which was a house-made mozzarella with marinara sauce and micro basil. I started with the beef satay which was grilled beef skewer that is served with Thai peanut sauce and roman lettuce. Both were amazing but my favorite was the beef satay. The beef was very tender and the peanut sauce stole the show. The second course were salads. I had the Caesar salad and Tiff had the garden salad. Not much to say here as beside the portion size was pretty small for my Caesar. Everything else about it would be what you expect. The third and main course definitely made up for the small salads. I had the jumbo lump crab pasta which is served on fettuccine pasta in saffron lemon butter with jumbo lump crab meat of course with a spinach and ciabatta breadcrumbs. The portion size was very large. The pasta was and crab were both cooked perfectly. The flavor of the sauce was spot on however I feel they did go a little heavy with the bread crumbs. Tiff had the Sous-vide pork chop. This thing was huge! It was a 14 oz Double Cut served with white polenta, crispy brussels sprouts, caramelized onions with a Garrison Brothers Bourbon glaze. I only had a bite of the pork chop which was also cooked perfectly and was well seasoned by itself. The bourbon sauce was good but I would recommend getting it on the side as I preferred the chop without it. The final course was desert Tiff picked the chocolate torte which is a Four layer torte. It consist of Nutella buttercream, chocolate pearls, and edible flowers. It looked impressive but after having a bite, I'm glade I didn't get it. Nothing was wrong with it but after such an amazing main course it seemed basic. I went with the caramel pecan cheesecake and yes it tasted as amazing as it sounds! The vanilla cheesecake is served with pecan-bourbon caramel sauce and toasted graham cracker. I would have liked more of the sauce because it was so good! Overall the service was great, the ambiance was romantic, food and drinks were solid. I would recommend this as a date night spot. We'll be back!

Yelp
Came in during HRW. Had a little girls brunch and we definitely enjoyed our time. There was live music and our meals were delicious! We are big bone marrow fans so we ordered it in addition to the HRW brunch choices. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. So delishhh.

Yelp
Went during lunch for a quick bite and cocktail. Ordered the mozzarella bites, Australian lamb chops and for dessert, frozen s'mores. The mozzarella bites tasted bland and as if they were precooked and put in an air fryer. Simply not worth it. The Australian lamb chops were flavorful but super greasy from the pesto sauce. Not my favorite but not the worst. For dessert, had the frozen s'mores which were very good. Possibly my favorite dish I had there. I also had two cocktails, the deep purple, was very nice and sweet and choco-tini that was also very good. I happened to sit at the bar where the bartender was friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is a nice place to have a cocktail and small bites. Have not tried all the dishes but can recommend to visit establishment to try it out for girls night.

Yelp
Been here on 2 occasions and enjoyed both times. The ambiance is whimsical, and there is very neat wall art. THe service was on point both times. For drinks, I had the W72 cava rose and sidecar. I enjoyed both every much. Their deep purple martini is also solid. App highlights were the arancini (great texture) and octopus (great texture and flavor). My fave entrees here were the lamb chops and branzino. The chops were very tender, both times I enjoyed them. Their top desserts were the s'mores bars and panna cotta.

Yelp
I went to a late lunch for a group of 7 on Saturday around 2pm. This was everyone's first time at this restaurant and the first impression was great. Although they were closed for a private event, they still accommodated our reservation! The entrance to the restaurant is really beautiful with artwork on both sides as you walk in! We were seated immediately and our waiter Daniel came over to tell us all about menu. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. I ordered the fried mozzarella and it was very good and cheesy! I also tried the grilled octopus and the tuna tartare. The octopus and potatoes with pesto sauce was good and I loved the puff chips on the tuna tartare dish. For my entree, I ordered the salmon. It was cooked to perfection, but it could have used a little more seasoning! My cocktail was well crafted and delicious. The waiter even took our advice to add an edible flower to finish off the presentation! He brought out two edible flowers for our drinks which was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this establishment! Their attention to detail and quality service was amazing.

Yelp
The food was amazing we started off with an old fashioned for our drink which was very good it was not weak by any means one of the best old fashioned I've tried. Followed by the fried mozzarella the crust was everything very flavorful I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken fried New York strip entrée it was a steak that was flattened and dipped in a batter and fried to perfection it was good could have used a little salt other than that it was good. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes as well as the green beans. For dessert I had the frozen s'more they were good as well I really loved the Graham cracker bottom. I could see myself dining here again. The ambiance was really nice it's a great place for date night or just an outing with friends and family. Service was top notch our waitress kept our glass full and was very attentive.

Yelp
What a great place!! We came here after having a sample to eat at a sloomoo institute yelp event. The food was excellent! We had a side of smashed potatoes and our waiter was so amazing that he offered to bring Parmesan along with the mayonnaise we requested to up the game. The truffle angel hair was absolutely delicious especially since I added two perfectly cooked scallops. The Mac and cheese with pork belly was delectable. Food was on point. I was so impressed because even the chef walked by and asked how the food was. What service! Our waiter was hands down amazing. He gave us suggestions and was super accommodating. He deserves five stars himself! Wish I remembered his name because he deserves credit! The decor was nice and modern and we loved the murals. We were impressed and will definitely make our way back.

Yelp
We made out second visit to Warehouse 72 last night in the past month, to give them a second opportunity to impress more that the first; didn't happen. We really like the vibe, but everything else falls short. At the bar before dinner, I asked what Sweet Vermouth they used in their Negroni's, I'm very particular and don't like the typical cheap Martini and Rossi so many bars use. To me the quality of vermouth is more important than gin. When they told me M&R, I said I'll have an Old Fashion. Unfortunately, they served me a Negroni, when I asked if I was served a Negroni, he said yes. About 2-3 minutes later the other bartender came around bar and said, "Try this I think you'll like it", this time it was an Old Fashion. I ordered the Charred Octopus based on the website photo, big miss between what I was served and the photo, check out the photos posted. My portion was half the size of the website photo, over cooked and chewy. Possibly one of the worst pieces of octopus I've eaten; and I've north of 50 octopus dishes in the US and Europe. My main complaint was the "Oven Fired" pizzas. Once I saw the picture on the website, I was excited to give it a try. What a disappointment! I've had much better pizzas from the freezer section at HEB. My Carne Pizza appeared to be a Tombstone frozen pizza cooked in a regular oven. The crust was one of those premade frozen that you get at the grocery store. If it was homemade, they need to fire the pizza maker or take pizza off the menu. I did see a fired pizza oven in the open kitchen, so it really puzzled me. Not dishes all were as poor as those above. The Sous-Vide Pork Chop was excellent and the Pan Seared Branzino was cooked perfectly. We love the vibe and venue that Warehouse 72 provides, but they really fall short in the kitchen.

Yelp
The charred octopus was delightful it was way better than I expected it to be Service was great waiter was attentive and super nice

Yelp
The staff was very welcoming and nice. The murals around the interior wall were beautiful. You have a view of a the kitchen, watching the chiefs prepare your meal. We ordered fried oysters 8/10 (not pictured) , charred octopus 10/10, fried mozzarella 10/10 for our appetizers. Main course (not pictured) we ordered steak and eggs 10/10 and truffle angle hair with grilled chicken. Overall 10/10 for service and food!

Yelp
I had a great experience here for restaurant week. The drinks were fair, service was great and fast, enjoyed the vibe and the food was tasty. Kudos to our server Daniel. My only complaint was the pasta. It was the worst pasta I've ever had/tasted in my entire life, and they should take it off the menu. I was grateful my server let me re-order and send it back for the pork chop, which was 10x better. Great menu overall and again, Daniel consistently went above and beyond.

Yelp
Went for a birthday party. We had the party room or a seperate space. I liked the mural. The food was decent. I ordered the lamb it was cooked perfectly medium. My husband had the chicken fried steak he enjoyed it. I just thought it was ok. I didn't like the mashed potatoes. I ordered two martinis and it didn't taste right. I'm not sure if there was a problem with the ice but my drinks had a weird after taste. The mandarin orange salad was nicely presented. I don't recall the salad dressing at all. I ordered mac and cheese and I substituted the protein for chicken. The chicken was super dry. Everyone else ordered pasta and steak. They didn't really say anything about the food. Our waiter was attentive and everyone was friendly. They sang happy birthday which, most resturants no longer do and gave him a complimentary dessert. I believe it was tiramasu. The birthday boy was pleased. I did like this resturant. I just would prefer better food quality.

Yelp
So we had a yelp event close to this restaurant and right after it I was sooooo hungry I decided to come here and try some more stuff off of their menu. I had already had a sampling of their food at the yelp event. Anyhow, the place restaurant was nice and dark with candles and I was wearing jeans and a T-shirt with slime on it. lol I did not feel like I was dressed for the place. Anyhow, we got 2 things that we wanted to try on the menu which was the pork belly Mac and cheese and the pizza/ flat bread. both of them were tasty. The pork belly was good but I like my pork belly in the crunchy side and the pork belly in this dish was not crisp like I thought it was going to be in my head. I thought the Mac and cheese was perfect. For the flat bread pizza, I thought it was good but it wasn't even hot when we got it to the table. I like my pizza hot/ warm. As far as parking spaces, there are a ton of parking spaces bc it's in the Marquee shopping center. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor areas for dining.

Yelp
Went to warehouse for a friend's bday and enjoyed such a great evening. The atmosphere was so classy and the staff very attentive. The food and drinks were up to par, but the small details of the restaurant make you feel like home. We had 3 of the greatest servers, surprised my friend with a personalized bday card and everyone signed it. The artwork in the place was really sophisticated. I plan on going back at some point to try more menu items

Yelp
My friends and I decided to go before a comedy show. We made reservations, checked out the menu in advance, dolled up & got ready to enjoy the night. Specifics? Nah... just know the food, service and lack of consistency was the thing. For instance, the menu said one thing, we received another(. The drink came out pink the first time... the reordered one was orange. The service was mediocre... They forgot we were there, then dropped off the wrong check. It was the end of Houston restaurant week, and I think they were short staffed, so I'll give them another opportunity to redeem themselves. Until then, 3.5

Yelp
A few past classmates and I went to brunch at Warehouse 72 yesterday. Overall it was a positive experience. Ambiance: 10/10. It is a very artsy, eclectic space. There were fresh flowers on the table. A live garage band was playing but they didn't overpower the atmosphere. The large wall murals were beautiful and added a nice chic vibe to the restaurant. Dresscode: casual brunch. Some people were dressed nicely and some were extremely casual. Service: 10/10. Our server Daniel was new to the restaurant but he was exceptional. There was never an empty glass of mimosa, a missed smile, compliment or minute we felt unattended to. Awesome service Daniel. Food: 8/10 ***This was our group average. The brunch items got a 7 and the lunch menu items got a 9** Appetizers: The deviled eggs- 10/10. Creamy, delicious, topped with candied bacon. Not sickeningly sweet. Just perfect. The fried oysters- 7/10. 1 person said it was fried perfectly. The other order was too crunchy/hard. Mains: ***Brunch items The steak and eggs- 7/10. The steak and eggs were fine but the potato hash lacked seasoning. There was no salt and some were undercooked. My friend wanted a better piece of steak. The eggs Benedict- 7/10. My friend said it was forgettable. ***Lunch items The seafood risotto: 9/10. It looked epic. Large pieces of seafood atop a creamy risotto. The angel hair truffle pasta with added scallops: 9/10. The pasta looked like it was bathed in a cream sauce. The scallops looked perfectly cooked. The chicken meatball soup: 8/10. It was definitely worth the price I paid but it could have used some spicing up. Large pieces of chicken, 2 meatballs and lots of veggies with orzo. I would buy this again. Drinks: My friends had their brunch mimosas and liked it. Likelihood of returning: pretty high. The vibe was nice. The service even better. When I return though I will be ordering off their lunch menu not the brunch items.

Yelp
Came here for houston restaurant week with my family during dinner. Highlights: Broiled Oysters 5/5 These were delicious and full of flavor with the butter and garlic flavors. The oysters themselves were a bit small but we loved this dish. Sous Vide Pork Chop 5/5 We ordered well done pork chops but the meat was very tender. The side of brussel sprouts was delicious and crisp BUT they only gave 3!!! Only 3 brussel sprouts total for the side dish. Decent: 15 layer lasagna 4/5 Decent lasagna. I felt there wasn't enough meat sauce but the cheese was nice and melty although 15 layers of pasta makes the dish a little more dry compared to other lasagna where you get more sauce per pasta bite. Ok: King Crab Pasta 2/5 Not much flavor of crab and the noodles were very bland. Bone Marrow 2/5 Literally only three mini bites on bread. totally not worth the appetizer. Beef skewers 3/5 Two small pieces that tasted alright but the peanut sauce it came with was not the best.

Yelp
Walking into this place looked fancy. The atmosphere and staff were wonderful! Cesar was our waiter and did a great job and Richard stopped by and made sure we were good and to call on him of we needed anything. My friend and I tried a few drinks...pricey for the size and flavor. Had the Mushroom Starter which was delicious. Then I had the Mac & Pork Belly (which had large pork chunks amd the mac seemed a little bland) and my friend had the Chicken Fried NY Steak (which was very good, but without the gravy it would have been bland). Just tried the Frozen S'Mores and if you love your marshmallows burned, you will absolutely love this dessert like I did!

Yelp
Went here for HRW brunch. Everything we ate lacked salt. We had the charbroiled oysters which were ok. Not as smoky or flavorful as we thought they'd be. The truffle arrancini were our favorite bite. Fried but not too heavy. The shrimp and grits desperately needed salt. Grits were very rich and heavy, but overall the dish itself wasn't bad. Husband had the steak which was super thin and over cooked. Nothing was like really bad, but nothing was executed super well either aside from the rice balls. The inside and outside of the restaurant has really nice murals. Service was pretty good.

Yelp
We went for Restaurant Weeks Houston. I have been following this place on social media for a year and have been wanting to try it. Restaurant weeks brought us in but the food and service will bring us back many times in the future! All those wonderful food pics they post totally lived up to the hype! 1st course: roasted bone marrow, the best I've had in Houston and the 2nd best in the US. Cesar salad, cold, crisp, crunchy and flavorful. New York strip cooked to perfection as I requested medium rare. My husband had the pasta with crab. It was very rich and full of lump crab. The caramel cheesecake was his choice also and the best cheesecake he experienced anywhere. Very light and not dense. Carmel topping thick and gooey and peaked this desert over the top.

Yelp
Brunch brunch brunch!! I chose this place for some friends and I to have brunch at. It is super cute in the inside. They showcase art work and have murals throughout the restaurant. This place is near Dave and Busters and be accessed directly or walking throughout the other shops. I ordered the fried mozzarella which was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! Still thinking about it days later lol!! I also ordered the Steak Frites which is pretty good, I just wish the fries were like truffle or had additional seasoning besides salt. Cranberry and orange juices are the only juices offered for mimosa. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be back to try other items. Also, my friends enjoyed the lamb chops.

Yelp
Initially, I was apprehensive of coming here as the reviews seemed iffy and the risotto unseasoned. I went off the employees suggestion and began my meal with salad. Walter was so kind and attentive. The place was very busy but we never felt ignored. It was a pleasure to eat here. The salad was fantastic, refreshing and addicting. The Lemon sumac vinegarette was delightful! At first bite, the risotto did taste unseasoned however somewhere in the middle of the plate, I tasted a burst of flavor and really enjoyed it. Shrimp were cooked perfectly and scallops were slightly overcooked but it didn't take away from the dish once everything was mixed a little better. I would return and try other items. The ambience is a great including the design of the place.

Yelp
We recently celebrated our anniversary at Warehouse72 and were blown away by the experience. My four-course meal was outstanding, with perfectly cooked steak and heavenly whipped potatoes. My husband raved about the sous-vide pork chop and polenta as well. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, surprising us with an extra serving of dessert and champagne. The cozy yet elegant ambiance, jazz duo, and impeccable service added to the overall charm. We'll definitely be returning for more delightful experiences.

Yelp
We came here on a whim after attending a nearby event. And we are very glad that we did. We got the smashed potatoes, which were awesome. We also had the Mac and Cheese with pork belly and it was well worth it. My wife had the truffle pasta. Service was great and everything was well worth it.

Yelp
Very nice space, the restaurant is a comfortable and effectively transports you from the outside hustle and bustle into a calming, jazzy atmosphere. Service was attentive, I visited during a Sunday live jazz session and was very pleased, all in all a great vibe. Drinks were perfect for me... refreshing, not too strong but you know you are having an adult beverage. The menu is full of good options, there is something for everyone, and the nice part was, although my party was there during brunch hours, we were able to use the full menu. Some places terribly limit your choices to pancakes , waffles and eggs Benedict ... I'll pass. The food was not only pleasing to the eye but it had great flavor , I would definitely return

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary dinner since it was on our list of restaurants for a while now. I thought it was more of a formal place but it was pretty casual. The aesthics of the restaurant was gorgeous. It had beautiful art work all over. We went on a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty. We walked in and the hostess looks as though she was just woken up from her nap. Not so much of a warm welcome. Our waiter was pretty dry as well. Maybe I was expecting upscale service in not such a upscale place. The waiter did know the menu very well and gave his suggestions. We had some type of Rosati balls and its definitely a required taste. I got the pork belly and Mac. It's was loaded with bread crumbs. I had to send it back and ask for no bread crumbs. It was a bit better after that. My bf had the fried steak. He said it was pretty good buy the mashed potatoes were the best although he got a small amount. The highlight was the side cars. The bartender made those perfectly and had to be the cheapest in town. We will definitely come back for bar action..not so much for the food.

Yelp
I had dinner here with a few friends during Houston Restaurant weeks. We made a reservation but really didn't need to since they weren't really that busy on a Wednesday at 7pm. There was a special four course menu for this time. It was starter, salad, main course, and a dessert. The price was around $55 for this. Based off of the normal menu prices, this was a really good deal. I actually opted for an item on the regular menu, tho. I got the Pork belly mac n cheese which really sounded pretty good. However, both the pasta and the pork belly were over cooked. The sauce that was over the pork was really sweet too which in my opinion didn't mesh well with the cheesy pasta. The location was really easy to get too as it is right off of the Katy freeway. I did enjoy the murals that are all over the walls, we got a pretty good group photo in front of one. Overall I think we might be back, the other items looked good, I think I just got the wrong dish.

Yelp
Consistency is what you'll get at any of their locations! Consistently delicious food, great drinks and amazing staff! Each place has an easy relaxing vibe.

Yelp
Wonderful night out with my young adult church group. The ambience in the restaurant is really nice. Appetizer 4/5 The fried mozzarella was good and came out very fresh. Charcuterie board was good. We had 2 but didn't get a pic of the other. Dinner 2/5 The lamb chops was not seasoned much. It could've also used more of a char on it as well. I also didn't like that the chops were extremely small for the price of $39. I was very disappointed in my dish. The mash potatoes I ordered for a side tasted better than my main course meal. The look of my meal was better than eating my meal. I didn't order the seafood risotto but my friends had raving reviews of the dish being good who ate it. What did not get great reviews were those who ordered the pistachio crusted salmon. Those who ordered also said it lacked a lot of seasoning. I am willing to try Warehouse again but I do not recommend ordering the lamb chops. Steer clear.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Love the industrial look here and the wall murals. Did HRW dinner here- a surprising 4 courses! Some highlights and misses: Black truffle arincini were wonderful- wished they were slightly bigger. Bone marrow was good but probably not worth ordering regularly- SO LiTTLE. Burrata arugula salad, great. Octopus- no go, too chewy. Meatball soup- light, but nothing special. Mains were all good and flavourful- squid ink pasta was slightly over cooked. Plenty of parking available at the surface lot.

Yelp
Very unique restaurant. Although I initially came for a preview Grand Opening, I haven't been back until a recent work meeting. The space is so interesting. Love how each of the five murals are based on real women. Both the photos and murals are prominently displayed. Amazing! The food is good. Originally the menus were set up with a nod to the old Spaghetti Warehouse, hence the name Warehouse 72. The citrus salad was light and delicious. The grilled salmon was so good. The fettuccine with burrata and grilled chicken was so rich and creamy. Bread is available, but only if you ask for it. Parking is plentiful as the location is not so busy. Service was great, but.... The private dining room is not really private. There are sliding glass doors, glass walls and there was no soundproofing. There was live music playing in the main dining room that was so loud that we couldn't hear the speaker over the music despite the fact that she had a microphone. The poor speaker was never notified that there would be live music playing until her talk ended. Nice place for dinner, but would not recommend for a business meeting, unless you don't want to be able hear the speaker.

Yelp
Have you ever met anyone who thinks highly of themselves but when you meet them, you think: nah, really, you need to settle down? Enter Warehouse 72-one of few restaurants on the HRW lineup that requires a reservation. I don't know how the other five patrons felt about their experience, but here's ours: Service was great. The manager came over early in our dining experience to check on us. He was polite and cordial and, I would imagine, a helpful human in a food crisis. Ambiance: definitely a fun atmosphere...maybe for a happy hour? ‍ but then again... Drinks: whiskey sour and purple martini...meh. For our first course, we had the chicken and meatball soup and the fried mozzarella. The soup felt a little fresh from a Campbell's can and the meatball was cold in the middle. The fried mozzarella was more like a like-warm brick without any frills or memorable descriptors. Our second course was worthy of the not-so-needed reservation. We ordered the Warehouse burger and the Shrimp and Risotto. In order of excellence: fries, risotto, burger, shrimp. Let that guide you where you will. The burger needed a better cheese other than plastic American. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked, BUT the richness of the risotto made me think that W72 might have some potential. Dessert: I would say that the desserts were decadent but I feel like that's a word one might associate with a dream and I can't go so far as to offer such high praise. It was...okay. Not anything you couldn't walk away from after one bite.

Yelp
Came for Sunday brunch with the girls. Chose this place I could easily make a reservation for a large group of people. Customer service - they were extremely short staffed that day. I do appreciate them for trying to be patient with a large group but it was hard for them to keep up. Drink orders were messed up but our food did come out correctly for the most part and in a timely manner. Food- appetizers - we mainly ordered the deviled eggs or the oysters. Very average and nothing to write home about. My main dish was the shrimp and grits and I didn't have any complaints about it! Most of the girls had chicken and waffles or steak and eggs and thought everything was okay. Overall- I won't be back for brunch anytime soon but would like to try their dinner menu if I'm ever in the area

The food was really good, the place was cute inside and they have an option for private parties. Very nice staff as well!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and interior. Modern vibe. Friendly, polished, attentive staff. Food was below average in quality and quantity. I don't think this restaurant will last more than 3 to 5 years tops. Check back in 2027 and let's see if I'm right. I came as part of a party of 8 on Friday night, and no one, not one, said that they enjoyed their meal or said anything positive about their food. I ordered the broiled Oysters for the appetizer. They were tiny, raw oysters, (though supposedly broiled) about the size of quarters, laying a pool of orange oil, underneath a layer of broiled cheese. Not very flavorful except the oily cheese. See photo. For entree, I ordered the NY Strip Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. The thinnest chicken fried steak I have ever eaten -- paper thin, yet surprisingly chewy, tough, and grisly with fat, and little to no flavor. I had to spit out pieces into my napkin! I gave everyone at my table a sample; Again, not a single person had anything positive to say. Mashed potatoes were almost as good as instant potatoes out of a box. Given only a few stalks of overly soft, smushy green beans. I have had real chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes at many other places. Waiter asked if anyone wanted dessert. Despite having time for dessert among some foodies at the table, no one ordered any. Will not be returning.

Yelp
My sister and I wanted to go out to a nice swanky spot and happen to end up here at W72 and we did enjoy it. Our waitress was very attentive and always had a sincere smile on her face. The drinks, the food, and the atmosphere was splendid. I

Yelp
You know... I am probably going to make a couple people upset with this review, but I have to say it. Went to Warehouse 72 because a friend recommended it. I honestly didn't know what to expect. It was kind of like a blind date. I went mid afternoon on a Saturday. It wasn't very crowded at all, which was nice. I loved the murals on the walls. It was decorated very nicely. All and all, it looked like a very nice and relaxing place. The service as prompt and the wait staff was very nice. I decided to order the pizza. This is the part that may upset a few of you... I really am not a huge fan of pizza, but for some reason... that day I wanted pizza. After ordering it I was questioning myself if I had made the right decision. When the pizza came out, it was pipping hot. Just the way a pizza should be. I must admit that I let it cool for just a moment as to not scorch my mouth. After the cool down period I took a bite. Let me tell you... this was probably the best pizza that I had ever had. It was wonderful. They have set the bar for pizza for me. Darn IT! Now my stomach is growling and I was one of these pizza's and it's only 9am. I guess I know what I'm doing for lunch today.
