"The elevated location between Lake Constance and the Alpstein is quite something! As in the small castle hotel, the focus in the restaurant, too, is on the organic and ecological. This translates into sustainably produced ingredients and organic produce from local suppliers, plus vegetables and herbs from the hotel's own 2 500m2garden. From the terrace there is a wonderful view of the countryside and Lake Constance." - Michelin Inspector

We went to Schloss Wartegg for a short stay, from Friday to Saturday, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. And we had a splendid time. From delicious dinner to delectable fresh (self-picked) tea from the herb garden, to strolling through the castle gardens, the turquoise bath and sauna, and a concert outdoors. We loved the quality of it all, also the (simple, very well-designed, and inviting) rooms, the overall venue, and the friendly staff. We will certainly come again.

Our stay at Hotel Schloss Wartegg was a perfect blend of relaxation, culinary delight, and exploration. The combination of the historic ambiance, modern comforts, and exceptional service made it a memorable experience. As we reluctantly departed, we were already planning our return, with Room 205 and its lovely balcony firmly in our sights. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a culinary adventure, or a peaceful retreat, Hotel Schloss Wartegg is sure to exceed your expectations.

Castle Wartegg is located at the beautiful bodensee. The old castle is hidden in between trees and a beautiful huge garden. The food is prepared very well and tastes fantastic. Recommondation as an entry is the Salad. The main dish was even better. Unfortunately the portion was not that big. It could have been a little bit more. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The staff is very friendly. Sadly the chairs outside are not that comfortable. All in all was a very nice lunch with a great view. Highly recommanded.

In this beautiful old manor house you feel both the history and the present, interconnected and respected. A truly special place, managed with love and a very high degree of old fashioned hospitality. Will definitely be back!

Had an event at St. Gallen and found this lovely nice little castle. The view and the atmosphere is beautiful. It has an amazing few over the lake. You can do walks and even walk down to the lake for a swim. Dinner was very delicious and the staff is really friendly. The rooms are nice and quiet. You have all you need. Great place to do some seminars, retreats and workshops.

My husband and me spent a weekend in January at Schloss Wartegg and loved every minute. Great location, service, attention to detail, the food is of very high quality, local, organic and just delicious. Don't miss the beautiful and intimate historic Turkish Bath.

The hotel is simple and beautiful, cozy decorated. The breakfast and the dinner was fine (there are options for vegans, gluten & lactose intolerants). The best part is definitely the famous historic bath which you can book for one hour for additional price. We booked it twice and it would be nice to stay there longer than 1 hour per session. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only the hair conditioner and bath salts & oils were missing. Overall it was a great experience!

The castle, the grounds and setting are magnificent on the outside, but inside, the decor is more conference and seminar centre, than historic fairy-tale castle. The staircase and historic bath are splendid, but the rest of the interior looks more like an Ikea showroom....in my opinion a confusion of styles. The restaurant areas are lacking ambience and are functional and sterile looking, therefore we ate elsewhere. I may sound harsh, but am trying to be honest.
