"The creator of Hakkasan and Wagamama introduces a new dim sum restaurant with a dining room on an elevated platform. The modern design affords views into both open kitchens where cooks steam and roll hundreds of dumplings. White furnishings are off-set by black walls that serve as backdrops to swirling light shows that play out on the walls, floors, and ceilings. "Set in a joyously bizarre restaurant that feels at once like both a black box theater and a cruise ship, Alan Yau’s dim sum restaurant is fun. An elevated dining platforms looks out over the open kitchens that lay beyond two of the restaurant’s four sides. Black walls and stark white furnishing serve as canvases for the colored spotlights that swirl in ever-changing patterns. But the highlights are the dumplings and perfectly fluffy steamed bao buns." - Janna Karel

Great meal! The dumplings were delicious, and the vegetable spring rolls were truly exceptional. The meal was perfectly completed with a sweet and refreshing Mango Sago. Highly recommend this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed! Sadly don’t remember the name of my waitress, she was very lovely and helpful! True expert in Chinese food!

This was our first dining experience at the Fontainebleau resort and it was amazing. The food at Washing Potato is reasonably priced and is really good and filling. It’s traditional Chinese food with dim sum options too. I don’t think you can go wrong here! I can’t wait to go back and try more new things!

Great food here! Also a fun atmosphere with the lights. We made a reservation and the room wasn’t too crazy crowded and food came out in good time. I would recommend the duck salad and suntory sunrise was amazing ! With all the other food we ordered

It was a wonderful experience at Washing Potato restaurant, also for all the visitors. The first four hours of parking are free here at Fontainebleau Hotel. The food was very high quality and delicious. We shared some dim sum and entrees, and we finished all! The atmosphere was really nice and fun, and we loved watching the cooks make food through the window during eating. My 15-year-old son loves this restaurant and he thinks he fits here. 😊 We think all the staff and management are so nice. They really care about their customers' service. We will definitely organize all our family party here and bring my family and neighbors back.

Nestled inside the Fontainebleau Hotel, this spot serves absolutely delicious dim sum! Every bite was a treat, and our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. We loved the cool and vibrant ambiance, making it a must-visit. without a doubt, we’ll be back next time we’re in Vegas!

I recently discovered a unique Cantonese dim sum restaurant in Las Vegas, located in the Fontainebleau Hotel, with an unusual name in both Chinese and English--Washing Potato 中薯! The restaurant has a stylish and modern ambiance, and the food is incredibly delicious. The staff was very friendly, making us feel right at home. We ordered some of the most classic dim sum dishes, including shrimp dumplings, chicken potstickers, fried taro dumplings, soy sauce chicken, stir-fried beef rice noodles, and egg tarts (we couldn't get a picture of the last two before digging in ). Next time, I'll definitely come back to try more dishes!

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat, a walk-in without reservations. They seated us promptly. The food was delicious. The soup dumplings! The broccoli was hot and crunchy! Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken were also wonderful. Everything came out of the kitchen when it was ready. There were plenty of servers who were all very helpful. The music was loud and the younger customers enjoyed it. I even saw them dancing in their seats. I saw the waiters singing along to the songs. The lighting was like being on a stage, bright and spinning. I couldn't help but think of the saying- "If the music is too loud, then you're too old." Food was great. I am old. 😀

First time at the fontainebleau and my partner took me to washing potato. Let me tell you the food was amazing and our server was super friendly and helpful. She explained to us what food items she recommends since it was our first time and there were stuff we never had and didn’t know about on the menu. The chow mein and kung pao chicken were my favorite and the soup dumplings were great! The food was fresh and the portion sizes were good for two people and we still had left overs to take home.

Yelp
100/10 Washing Potato has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. From Asian comfort food favorites like Congee to perfectly spiced meats like the Sichuan Beef, there's a lot of different and delicious options available at Washing Potato. Like many restaurants in Vegas there's lights, music, and it's a little dark (even during the lunch hour), but don't let those things dissuade you from coming here to eat. The service was impeccable. We ordered a lot of food for just two people but I'm so glad that we did because we got to try a little bit of everything at the Washing Potato. Small side note: the lemon tea was very strong with some bitter notes--and I loved it, however, it may not be everyone's "cup of tea".

Yelp
If you're staying in Vegas and want a good Asian food experience, I recommend Washing Potato. Reservations full up fast so call at least a day in advance; they take walk-ins but the wait could be long. The menu is relatively simple but really tuned in. Your meal is family style, served on bigger plates for everyone in your party to pick from. The food comes out as it's ready so you might not get everything at once. Their dumplings/dim sum are delicious as well as their noodles and sweet and sour pork. The crispy pork bites are a bit too big to eat in one bite, I would recommend that they be served in smaller pieces - it comes with a honey mustard that wasn't a hit at our table but to each their own. The milk tea was simple and delicious, mine was iced and presented beautifully. Our server was fast and very attentive to our needs and even took care to note allergies at our table to prevent any cross contamination. The restaurant is dimly lit with cute lamps at each table - some of the tables are rather close together but the second level main eating area is pretty cool. The overall smaller space for the restaurant is why it fills up so fast but they do have a large window to be able to see into the kitchen where all the magic is happening.

Yelp
Giving it a 2 ONLY because the hostess was kind. Last night I took my sister here for her birthday. I made the reservation three days ago. I've been once before with friends & the food was amazing, service was great so I thought hey my sisters never been here before I'll take her! What a mistake that was. WHAT A LET DOWN. Terrible. DO NOT SIT WITH CINDY. At first service was well, my sister really enjoyed the atmosphere, started off with drinks which were delivered fast & Cindy seemed very kind, urgent & efficient. Food was good, just good. The chili sauce they give was SUPER GOOD. At end of our meal, she didn't offer any dessert AT all, just gave us the bill. Kind of weird considering I booked it with a note saying it was for a birthday celebration. I don't expect a dessert or anything but just an acknowledgement would've been great! The fact out of all the amazing restaurants on the strip we chose to go THERE is the most upsetting part. I'd assume as a normal person who doesn't even like birthdays a simple acknowledgment is kind, but no NADA. Nothing!!! At all!!!!!!! So I'm thinking- ok maybe the birthday note didn't save when I booked the reservation?? Maybe it was my fault, as I was extremely disappointed so I took it upon myself to get up & go to the host stand to see if it was in fact my fault & I couldn't blame Cindy! Nope, hostess confirmed without even looking at her screen that it was noted on the reservation that we were celebrating my sisters birthday. ok, maybe she forgot or the message wasn't relayed to her? Nope hostess further explained THEY HIGHLIGHT it on the paper they hand to server. WOWWWWWW not only did she KNOW she truly didn't care- which is fine I get it. But wow very very disappointed. Hostess was kind enough to pack it to go- which was such a nice gesture but cmon who wants their birthday dessert TO GO?!!!!!! Especially ice cream. Again very nice of hostess, very thoughtful & it truly is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars. We were bar & restaurant hopping so we didn't want to carry a bag around all night, so I told my sister just have a little bite now before we go on with our night. She opened up the bag & the Hostess even included a CANDLE! How sweet!!!!! Mind you, this whole time we're SITTING right next to the POS where Cindy is, she's WATCHING us do that STILL no acknowledgement- at this point obviously we were over it. Not sure if it's because we're young? Or just a two top so we didn't have a crazy large tab? That maybe was the reason She was so rude to us, but the funniest part is my sister wanted to blow out a candle & also take some pics so she asked the server at the POS for a lighter surely enough it was CINDY. She lit the candle & never said HAPPY BIRTHDAY LMAOOOOOO Never coming back. Wish I got the hostess name because you could tell she actually cared, and felt my disappointment. I respect her honesty & her kind gesture.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. I can see all of the lights that could transform this restaurant into a venue that feels entirely different, and during a normal dinner service it had a nice, elevated ambiance. The food was good. We got some favorite staples including Har gow, shumai and char siu steamed bao. All of these were tasty and ranked with the expectations I have for good dim sum. The salt and pepper shrimp was tasty, and COVERED in a fried garlic mixture you could eat spoonfuls of (if you don't mind torturing the people you're hanging out for the rest of the night).

Amanda I.

Yelp
This place was ok. The ambiance is super cool, music and lights, makes it a pretty solid date night spot. The staff were all super nice and friendly. We tried several dishes and appetizers and they were good but nothing that stood this spot better or bigger than an off strip Asian cuisine restaurant. We had Mongolian beef General Tso, chicken, shrimp fried rice, sweet-and-sour pork.

Yelp
Wow.. Washing Potato serves excellent Chinese cuisine~The atmosphere is ultra chic and modern. The background music is not obnoxiously loud. Do not allow the eye catching sleek decor and chill ambiance woo or repel you.. Come here for the food. We started off with strong cocktails. The ChungKing Express with Don Julio Blanco Tequila and cherry bark vanilla bitters was a winner for me. My favorite entree was the crispy Singapore noodles. Lightly fried noodles with sautéed vegetables, topped with large juicy shrimp and fresh squid. The noodle texture was crispy on the edges and soft in the middle (drenched in seafood broth)- Fantastic! We also enjoyed their unique pine and squash dim sum. The scallop shumai is not to be missed. I dipped the shumai in hot red chili sauce-yum. I found the fresh tasting choi sum vegetable dish savory and delicious. My dining companion enjoyed the crispy Char Siu (pork) entree. Overall, every item we ordered was terrific and high quality! Perla was our friendly and warm table server. The service was excellent and pleasant thanks to Perla! Washing Potato has become one of my favorite restaurants for Chinese cuisine. Wow.. Washing Potato serves excellent Chinese cuisine!

Yelp
Lively decor and high end Asian food. Vegas atmosphere for sure. Of course the prices are going to be higher than the places on Spring Mountain road, since you also paying for the experience and location which is easily found inside the Fontainebleau Hotel. The service was timely from seating to all the food coming out. Could have been a bit more top of bringing out the drinks though. The dim sum was great and had a delicate touch, the noodles and rice were filling and decent were of portions. Overall food was tasty and well cooked. We finished it all.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenal and was ideal for sharing. Definitely making plans to return.

Yelp
"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players." If you read their statement, you'll soon earn that the owners must really love Shakespeare as the above quote is listed in their menu. Meant to evoke "stage dining," the interior is dark, moody, with the occasional spotlight above casting a glow on your table. It's a vibe. I'm not sure it's my vibe, but it's a vibe no less. White Mountain ($21): Osmanthus infused Fords gin, suze, and amaro sibilla. It's a dark and aromatic drink. Forgotten Moment ($21): Belvedere vodka, Luxardo maraschino, lime, pineapple, heavy cream, egg whites, soda water, and grenadine. Sounds cute, right? You really can't go wrong with a drink with fluffy egg whites in it. Peking Duck Salad ($21): Think of the most basic bagged salad and top it with some delicious roast druck. That's pretty much what you're getting. The orange slices and nuts on top do make it lovely. Crisp Pork ($28): Ten cubes of crispy delicious pork for $28, served with yellow mustard and a salt blend. Delightful! Black Pepper Beef ($31): The fact that this Black Pepper Beef costs more than the Crispy Pork is almost a crime. For the price, I thought they would be serving beef cubes, but they serve the beef as slices. Beef Chow Fun ($23): It's a decent chow fun! Classic, no frills, it's good. Mango Sago ($10): Get this dessert. You won't regret it. Birthday Ice Cream Trio ($0): Two scoops of popcorn and one mango! Perhaps it was the items I ordered, or maybe their dim sum is where it's at, but I thought the cuisine was pretty mid. In a town where you can get a lot better Chinese fare for similar pricing, why settle here? I would even argue that there are better Chinese spots on The Strip if you don't want to venture off-strip.

Hani J.

Yelp
Such a delicious meal! My partner and I had quite a few tasty items. The service was friendly, informative, and very prompt without being overbearing at all. Decor was super unique - being seated in the center of the restaurant was something unlike anywhere I've ever dined. Highly recommend checking it out. For our food: Soup dumplings: delicious, a couple popped open on pickup but that's okay Potstickers: you know these were great Congee: not my favorite but that's a me thing General tso chicken: absolutely delicious Banana egg roll dessert: pretty good but a little hard to eat. Will certainly be returning here at the first chance I get. We both really enjoyed it.

Yelp
The food was good but a bit pricey. If you want really good dim sum this is not the place other than it's convenient therefore you're paying for that convenience. I would probably just go to Chinatown if I'm craving dim sum again. Service was really good and the music was great but the rotating lights was kind of annoying.

Saniyyah L.

Yelp
Tonight was my husband and I's first time at the restaurant & wow! The food was amazing! Delicious, quick & flavorful. The service was also wonderful - everyone was very nice and polite. The ambiance of the restaurant was quiet but not uncomfortable. The music choices were also very interesting - from Prince to Queen. 10/10, will come back soon!

Nicole M.

Yelp
One of the coolest restaurants I've been to, they have lights and other elements that make the walls change from time to time so it's an experience while you're dining. Everything we ordered was extremely delicious . Staff was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend any of their soups, especially if you're hung over! Huge WIN for casino.

Yelp
They've gotten rid of a few things on my recent trip back to Washing Potato. The char siu pineapple bun and siu mai are still good. The beef rice noodles are good but a little salty.

Jana N.

Yelp
In one of the newest hotels in Vegas, I had to check out Fontainebleau and decided to eat at Washing Potato. Besides its unique name, I was able to see the full menu with pictures in their website which I definitely appreciated. It was a little hard to find the restaurant since I didn't see any signs, but luckily there were quite a few staff around who were able to point us in the right direction. I absolutely loved the interior - lighting elements on both walls, giving it a WNDR museum-like feel and entertaining light displays. The tables and chairs were all white along with red accent lighting. Service was great and the food came out quickly. The concept here is dim sum ordering off a menu (minus the carts). Everything was made fresh and it was fun to see them make some of the items in its open kitchen. They had all of my favorites on the menu and have nothing but praise for everything that I ordered. This included the taro croquette, lotus leaf rice, chicken congee, sing noodles, fried mochi and jasmine tea. Naturally the prices were higher due to it being in the hotel and being more of an elevated experience. Each dim sum seemed to be starting at $10 and $6 per person for tea. This place really satisfied my dim sum craving and made for a really good experience.

Yelp
YUM! We loved this restaurant. We came here for a light late night dinner and got chicken potstickers and fried rice. There was a sauce that was offered and we took it, i am bummed i didn't ask what it was, but it was so flavorful and perfect. I looked at my husband and told him this sauce would be something I would remember for the rest of my life it was so good! We stopped in here a bit closer to closing so it was not full. The staff was fantasic, super helpful and friendly. The vibe of this restaurant is amazing! Its darker, but you have lighting at your table and the dining space is raised. There is a light show per se that changes constantly in the top of the restaurant. Highly recommend anyone making a stop here!

Meichelle L.

Yelp
We had voucher so we ordered almost all the dimsum dishes. Most of the items were pretty good, but in this price range we expected better. Over price and food standard range.

Indra N.

Yelp
The dishes are excellent and we have eaten there twice and tried different dishes. Servicers are very helpful and attentive and the ambience is pleasing.

Jaimie W.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was at Washing Potato. Prices are pricier than dim sum places in Chinatown, but that is a given. Food all tastes very authentic . Very clean seating

Joyce J.

Yelp
There're lots of delicious dim sum store in Vegas. We need to used our resort credit that's why we came here. The store looks very fancy and food is good but a little pricey than usual dim sum store. Service is good!

Melissa P.

Yelp
Ok ambiance!! I was not expecting to have my standards blown away here at Washing Potato... they know what they're doing with elevating casual HK dimsum and cuisine. I've been here twice now, once with friends, and once with my family (including grandparents). Both times were great, even my grandparents who aren't easily impressed by gentrified Asian restaurants said this spot wasn't too bad. I love the different options of rice rolls they offer, especially the shrimp and the chinese donut. The fried taro ball was a delicate balance of crunchy on the outside, sweet and savory on the inside. They also have an excellent espresso martini! The best part is the ambiance and design, super sleek interior along with unique branding that leaves an impression. The booth type seating is super intimate and the lighting almost makes it feel like you're dining in a club (in a good way). The service is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable, even if you're casually dressed. I loved my waitress who went above and beyond to bring us a variety of sauces and even bring refills when she noticed we were running low. The sweet chili sauce was so good!! Definitely recommend this spot in the new Fountainebleau, one of the best options in the hotel.

Annette R.

Yelp
From the same Group that created Hakkasan comes this place specialized in dim sum. With a more casual approach it has a modern architecture, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dim sum we tried was an explosion of flavors, each coming with their own sauces to dip in, beautifully made with such craft. We also had the pork belly, with perfect crunchy skin and tender juicy meat. The menu is super varied and extensive. If I had any suggestion it would be to make half portions of the rice. We really wanted to try it so we ordered it but we were only two and ultimately was too much.

Tommy P.

Yelp
It was good. Food was good. Service was great. Room was okay. Demerit for poor ventilation: smell lingered on clothing. The food was solid and portioned in a manner that made sharing between a couple sensible. Non alcoholic drinks were a flat bargain and were remarkably and unexpectedly good. Everything we had was tasty and seemed reasonably priced given where we were and what year it is. The menu made sense in terms of finding and understanding the available dishes and was large enough that we regretted not being able to try everything that "grabbed" us (just don't have that kind of capacity anymore, especially not when we have plans later in the evening) so we're probably interested in returning. Service was top-notch Vegas professional: friendly and helpful, with numerous staffers pitching in as they passed by, without being asked - we never lacked for water or for dipping sauces; recommendations and explanations were made in such a way that we felt like honored guests. Every staffer was good at light chatter; every staffer seemed to care that we were having a good time. A birthday mentioned in the reservation was not noted, but it was an early supper (almost a snack) and we really didn't mind. The room . . . ah, well, it's certainly interesting. Almost to the point of distraction - well, maybe beyond that point. We were there before the DJ started and the music was reasonably chill. The lighting was sometimes kinda fun to watch but also sometimes maybe a bit much (and we were there early, before things get crazy). My biggest concern was that the open kitchen was not especially well ventilated given our expectations and the state of the technology (this is Vegas - a guy can smoke a cigar at the table next to you and you won't smell it) - we both noted that our clothes smelled faintly of cooking oil and fishiness when we left. That's an unforced error which makes this barely a four-star call (I'd say six-point-five to seven out of ten) but let's round up for the great service. My main hesitation in returning to Washing Potato would be making sure that I had time and willingness to change clothes to get rid of the smell before heading out to the evening. Other than that, the food was good, the service was great and the room was okay-to-nifty.

Rohan D.

Yelp
Mediocre dim sum with exorbitant prices in a beautiful room. Might be the best restaurant in the hotel, it is open a little later. Service is good, professional, prompt, as it should be at these prices. If you come from a town with a real Chinatown, like Chicago, you're going to have a hard time with the quality-cost ratio. If you're from a city with a really good Chinatown like San Francisco, you might want to eat somewhere else.

Connie K.

Yelp
Washing Potato offers a high-end dim sum experience at Fontainebleau with pretty good food, though it's definitely on the pricey side. I understand it's on the Strip, which explains the cost, but you can find equally good or even better dim sum off the Strip at more reasonable prices, like at Tea Palette or New Asian BBQ. The ambiance is nice but feels more like a cocktail bar than a traditional dim sum spot, which was a bit confusing. However, the service was good, and it's still a cool place to hang out with friends. Overall, a solid 4 stars!

Angela C.

Yelp
Hostess seemed slightly confused, maybe new but I got seated as a walk in and it was fine. The server was great and the place looked nice. Nothing extraordinary, nothing bad. The food was OK. The leek was a little fishy tasting. The veggies were cold. The turnip cake was oily, it looked nice and crispy on the outside but it wasn't crispy. Again nothing was bad, I've just had way better and expected more from a restaurant inside the Fontainebleau.

Todd B.

Yelp
The Washing Potato restaurant in the Fontainebleau Casino. We had a 6PM dinner reservation for two. Not your typical Asian restaurant. For the moment you walk in you will be impressed with the decor. The seating and tables are very comfortable. The interior walls have a very interesting light display. So neat! Our server Max took very good care of us. Answered all our questions and even made a few recommendations. We had three servers besides Max. The service was top notch. We had chicken potstickers as an appetizer. Yummy. We ordered fried rice, General Tao chicken, stir fried beef and noodles. Plenty of food. We also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay. 10 out of 10 for presentation. Max poured our wine and kept our table neat and clean. I would have gave a five out of five but I believe there should be a dress code. Fabulous place.

Yelp
The wife and I were joined by a couple of friends for dinner on a Saturday at the oddly named Washing Potato in the Fontainebleau. I love dim sum and was definitely motivated to check it out. Don't let the name and the fact that the dining room more closely resembles a nightclub with its lighting and decor than your traditional Chinese restaurant dining room with large round tables with "lazy Susans" and the fact that carts of steaming dumplings aren't being paraded around for diners to make selections deter you from dining here. The food and drink were damn delicious and the service was, not surprisingly, excellent. Washing Potato's service concept was simple. Food is ordered off the menu and delivered to the table when ready. The menu was far from encyclopedic, but it offered most, if not all, of the usual suspects. I found plenty to like on it. I started off with the Bourbon Falls cocktail while our party perused the menu. It was a well-crafted, boozy drink garnished with a Gummi bear that solidly hit the mark. Not long after placing an initial order, our food began arriving at our table. It came out hot and you could tell it was freshly made. Highlights were the XLB, Har Gau, and fried mochi sesame balls with the har gau and sesame balls probably being the best versions I've had in Las Vegas and maybe ever. Most everything we ordered was very good if not excellent. The only miss was the Squash and Pine Nut Dumplings which were surprisingly bland and one of the trio of dumplings we received wasn't properly sealed allowing the dumpling to open up during steaming. Washing Potato may not be the best dim sum restaurant I've found in town, but in my book, it is clearly one of the top ones. You could truly taste the quality of ingredients. However, it is on the pricier end of dim sum restaurants in Vegas given its Strip location. Still, I definitely enjoyed our meal and wouldn't hesitate going back again and recommending it to friends and family.

Yelp
I honestly wish I had another stomach so I could've tried more dishes, but alas. Fantastic restaurant with great food- I saw a post about it on Instagram and was excited to try. Located in the brand new Fontainebleau, this restaurant features classic dim sum in a clubby atmosphere (seriously, you'll think you stepped into a club instead of a restaurant). Service was attentive- our server was always checking on us and was very sweet. Take a look around at the open kitchen (and if you're lucky, you'll also spot the dim sum workers doing their magic!) I liked the style of the menu- minimalist lettering but lots of fun pictures of FOOD- we got the beef brisket noodle soup and beef chow fun- two simple dishes but with elevated flavors, I got goosebumps by how delicious everything was. The spices in the soup for the noodle soup were so delicate but so rich! Next time I will go and go nuts with the dim sum!

Mei-Lan C.

Yelp
First time here. Beautiful restaurant. Ordered a few dim sums and Singapore noodles. Everything was delicious The waiter was very friendly and attentive . It's a little more expensive, but it's expected for Las vegas hotel restaurants . It's worth every penny!

Yelp
For a full extensive review, I'd have to come back and try more things on their menu. My husband and I had an adventure night Friday and visited Fontainebleau. We grabbed a drink upstairs and and thought maybe we'll go down to KYU and have a few small bites and drinks but while we were walking to get to KYU the smell and the dark decor with lights attracted us to Washing Potato... I have no idea why but the name of this place was SO HARD FOR ME TO remember! I think I had to look it up at least 3 times before it actually stuck HAHAHA No previous knowledge and no expectation; we went in blindly. Luckily there was no wait and we got seated right away. Looking through the menu we realized it was a dimsum spot and was relieved because we wanted to get some small bites and wasn't hungry for a full dinner. As I sat there looking through the menu, I was not hungry at all and opted for only drinks. We ordered the Starlight and the Washing-- my husband ordered the beef chow fun; not going to lie, I ended up eating more than half HAHA The ambiance is great, it's hip, dark and "clubby" but surprisingly the music was blaring where I wasn't able to hear my partner but it was loud enough to lean in when my husband said something. The spot lights that travel make the place a bit more exciting too HAHA The chow fun was bit ... bland so we asked for some salt but the overall flavor of the dish was great; we just wanted a little more oomph! The drinks were VERY interesting! Both drinks were CLEAR - Washing was pretty sweet but it packed some punch and Starlight reminded me of a Japanese Soda candy. I do want to come back and have a full dinner to try other things but overall, it was a fun experience.

Yelp
When it comes to Washing Potato, there are just a few key points to mention. As for the menu, feel free to order anything - it's all fantastic! And don't forget to try the Lobster Noodles, they're a must-have. Washing Potato is a whole VIBE! The music is bumping and the staff is on Point! The art deco and Asian infused decor have you immersed in culture and tradition with a new age flare. And; for a guaranteed good time, make sure to sign up at the rewards center in the main casino at Fountainbleau. You'll receive food and slot play vouchers that you definitely won't want to miss out on!

Yelp
Washing Potato in Fontaine Bleau offered a delightful dim sum experience that tantalized both my taste buds and my sense of whimsy. Bourbon Falls Bonanza: My drink, the "Bourbon Falls," was a clear winner. It was a delicious and creative cocktail, and the unexpected gummy bear garnish added a playful touch. Beef Chow Fun Feast: Noodle Nirvana: The beef chow fun was pure perfection. The noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente texture, and the tender beef was bursting with flavor. Washing Potato offers a unique and delicious take on dim sum. The playful atmosphere, creative cocktails, and perfectly prepared dishes make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable Las Vegas dining experience. Trying the playful and delicious "Bourbon Falls" cocktail. The beef chow fun - a classic dish executed perfectly.

Yelp
Food: lobo gao, shrimp and chive dumpling, shrimp and crispy rice roll, leaf wrapped sticky rice, pork rice porridge, scallop shumai, lotus mochi sesame balls and jasmine tea. The jasmine tea is not on the menu but if you ask for it you will have it. They were out of the seasonal mushroom dumplings so that was disappointing. But the biggest disappointment was that the WHOLE reason we came here was for the lotus mochi sesame balls. They served it and when I bit in, it was red bean which I hate. They were like oh yeah we forgot to tell you we don't serve lotus anymore because all people wanted was red bean so we changed it! Ugh!! Everything was seasoned with too much white pepper and was a bit spicy. Ambiance: looked like a club with low lighting and colored lights. 90's music was a fun plus. Service: our waiter was attentive as well as the others that cleared dishes and gave us condiments. We wont be back. Better dim sum at Tim Ho Wan if you want to be in a casino. I'll have to go to Dim Sum Cafe for my lotus balls.

Yelp
Chef Alan Yau's noodle and dim sum rrestaurant at the Fountainbleau is named Washing Potato. The music is loud and it has a kind of retro disco atmosphere. It has an open kitchen concept, a huge dining space and at least 14 chefs laboring to timely provide freshly prepared Chinese food to the crowd that slowly keeps coming in. I started with two dim sum offerings. First, the pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings which were moist, succulent, fresh with intense flavor, texture and chew. Easily one of the best I've had. Second, the Chiu Chow Dumplings (comes with a pork filling) that were equally good. Finally (and it was difficult to choose), the Singapore Noodles. This dish came as a large portion and was also a hit. I barely made a dent. Service was high class and the staff was very friendly. You could see that if was infectious all around, everyone was happy, eating from the wide variety on the menu and its superb concoctions. This is a keeper. I have to go back on my next trip to Vegas.

Yelp
The taro dumpling was delicious. One of the best I've ever tasted. A must try item. You could really taste the taro and the outside is really crispy and flaky. The seafood crispy noodles was really good. My daughter very much enjoyed it. The Peking duck was a hit! The ambiance is unique, the dining area is open allowing you to see the magic happening in the kitchen. The dining is giving off clubbing vibes, very different from traditional places that serve dim sum. Service was on point, very attentive servers.

Yelp
The newest dim sum concept located in the brand new Fontainebleau definitely exceeded our expectations! We had a large party and guests coming from out of town, so I wanted to makes the we secured a lunch reservation. There were 7 of us and when I tried to make a reservation online, it wouldn't allow for more than 6 guests. I called the restaurant and they weren't able to reserve for more than 6 either. This is when Mitch, the concierge at FB, stepped in and went above and beyond in making sure I had the proper reservation by contacting Washing Potato's management directly to update the reservation. Excellent customer service and bravo to Mitch! We came to find out that the tables allow a maximum of 6 guests, hence we weren't able to select more than 6. This dim sum establishment is very different than what you'd expect, it is very upscale, modern, and has a rave vibe to it. We got seated quickly after checking in. The menu for dim sum lunch mostly consists of dim sum, with some noodles options and some kitchen options such roasted duck. We ordered a bunch of dim sum to share such as har gao, shu mai, spring rolls, sesame balls, etc. We also got some kitchen dishes such as wonton noodle soup and beef chow fun. Everything came rather quickly and they were steaming! This is a sign that they were made to order, not pre made and just kept warm in the steamers. The dim sum were excellent! Very flavorful and fresh, and we could taste the difference in the quality of ingredients that were used to create the dishes. Everyone was very impressed. Service was excellent as well, as we had a dedicated server that checked on us often and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The only thing to be aware of is that since it is located within a hotel, prices are definitely higher than you would expect from a normal dim sum place. Even then, it's worth paying for extra for quality dim sum in my opinion. We'd definitely be back to try out their other dim sum and kitchen options next time!

Yelp
Stopped in for some dim sum and was not disappointed. Had come by when it was still closed, looked cool so waited for it to open. Once we heard was open we made it in for a late dumpling lunch. Really cool inside, lots of lights and smoke and a really bumping soundtrack Was seated quickly and service was fast. Got water and some coconut ice teas. Decided to get 5 orders of dim sum, a little taste around the menu. Got some classics like shumai and some different ones like shrimp and chive. All were amazing but the scallop shumai was my favorite They were hot and delicious. Loved all of them. Didn't get any pictures as we jumped right in! Should have taken pictures cause I burned my mouth at least twice! Very hot, full of flavor and fresh. Can't wait to come back and try more stuff!

Yelp
We have been frequent visitors to Washing Potatoes Restaurant in Fontainebleau, enjoying their dim sum on five occasions. Unfortunately, our most recent visit marked a noticeable decline in quality. The Sesame Balls, once a favorite, were disappointing this time around. They were soggy and under-fried, lacking the usual crispness. The Thai Massaman Curry was also a letdown, tasting watered down and lacking its typical rich flavor. The biggest disappointment was the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, which was utterly tasteless and lacking any depth of flavor. The broth was bland and failed to deliver the hearty experience we expected. On a positive note, the Peking Duck and Lobster with XO Sauce continue to impress with their consistent taste and quality. Service remains commendable, as the staff is friendly and attentive. I hope Washing Potatoes can address these inconsistencies, as we'd love to return to the high standards we've come to expect.

Yelp
Awesome dim sum and fantastic atmosphere. Very well price too, especially for Las Vegas. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Modern decor meets china techno. Greeted by smiling hosts and seated in a nice location, albeit real close to a family at first but quickly remedied by my wait staff. Make sure you ask about the story behind the name. Service was excellent. Dumplings were devine and the General Tso chicken came out crispy and smelling good. The chicken was a perfect blend of crispy and sweet. My waitress was amazing, Irene was attentive, told me the story and was simply amazing.

Yelp
I'm sure you have heard the song yummy in my tummy. What you haven't? Well zip on over to washing potato and see for yourself. 1. Exceptional service. Our server was a rocks star. She asked upfront if we had any allergies, I noted a rare one, corn. She then not only checked but gave us updates on how the chef was seeing if this or that had it. My dish XO Shrimp did not. The spouse's initial lemon chicken did, so we went with Kung Pao. As a flexitarian (it's an actual word for folks who are 90 to 95% plant based), I can say the shrimp was fantastic. 2. Shrimp XO. WOW. The "gravy" is a black bean sauce that goes over the noodles. Not on the shrimp which were very flavorful. 3. The spouse raved about the Kung Pao chicken. Right amount of heat and mentioned the tenderness of the meat, and she loved the veggies too. 4. The portions are big. A full amount on a medium size plate. There will be leftovers unless you go full throttle and eat it all. 5. Ambiance is very cool and modern. And when I say modern I mean it in an eclectic vibe. 6. Pricing aligns with Vegas. The best restaurant in the Fontainebleau. Period.

Yelp
Finally checked out the Fontainebleau Casino and had dinner at the Washing Potato. The hotel casino is gorgeous but that's for another review. It was a Friday night and it was not busy. Decided on eating at the Washing Potato, a Chinese fusion restaurant. The interior had a night club atmosphere, with music and lights that made it seem livelier than it was. The food was very good to my surprise. We ordered Chinese broccoli, roasted duck, beef chow fun, and the spicy chicken wings. Every dish was on point and flavorful. Portion size was ok, and service was good. The one downside is the price point. While less expensive than other Asian eateries in the strip hotels, it's still high for the dishes offered. But if price isn't important and you're looking for good food and service, check out the Washing Potato...( weird name but there's a story behind it).

Yelp
Very nice. Cool setting in a fine dining, yet laid back atmosphere. Lots of very unique menu items and same for the drink selections. They have both entrees and small plates where you can build your own meal. An Asian flare, but I wouldn't call it Asian exclusively. Waiter seemed like he might prefer to work somewhere else, but overall helpful and acceptably attentive.

Yelp
The food was perfect. The services was amazing. It had a very modern decor with good music playing during the time I was there. A little pricey but everything was great! Not one potato on the menu!

Yelp
I really, really, enjoyed Washing Potato! Nestled in the new FountainBleu hotel, it has a quirky and fun vibe. I especially enjoyed the holographic pink menu casing and bill holder thingy. I loved the design inside, it's perfect for Vegas. And the staff were sooo attentive. We had three or four different wait staff help us with our order. They were very informative and told us all about the restaurant and the owner / creator! It's a bit out of the way in terms of walking, FountainBleu is technically on the strip, but we took the monorail. I'd definitely go to Washing Potato again! A unique and quirky place with good food :)
