Hey Hilton guests, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Hilton at 1919 Connecticut, where I experienced several issues that significantly affected my experience. As a Hilton Honors Member, I have always had positive stays at Hilton properties, but unfortunately, this particular visit fell well below the standards I have come to expect from your brand. While the room itself was aesthetically pleasing, it lacked basic amenities such as a microwave and refrigerator, which I discovered only after overhearing toward the end of my stay that these items were available upon request. At no point during check-in or my stay was I informed of this option, nor was there any mention of how I could keep my food cooled during my five-day visit. This lack of communication was frustrating and inconvenient. Additionally, after my first night, I began experiencing discomfort with persistent itching. I changed the bedding myself on the second night, but the problem persisted, and by the third night, I noticed raised bumps, primarily on my sides. Concerned, I did some research and found information about bed bugs, though I didn't observe any clear evidence of them or any other pests. This situation was deeply unsettling, particularly as I was traveling alone, far from home, and dealing with a history of personal trauma that made the experience even more distressing. When I approached the front desk to address the issue, I was met with poor customer service. I was referred to security, who, while not overtly rude, seemed eager to rush through the interaction and move on. I was eventually relocated to another room for the last night of my stay, where thankfully, I experienced no further issues with itching or discomfort. Hilton staff steamed my clothes as a precaution, which I appreciated. However, I was told that an investigation would be conducted, and I would be contacted with the results. Several days later, after I had returned home to Oregon, I was informed that no evidence of bed bugs or other issues was found, and the case was closed. This response felt dismissive and lacked any empathy or concern for the distress I had experienced. To add to the disappointment, as I was checking out, a staff member pulled me aside and offered me a discounted stay at another Hilton location in a different state. While this may have been intended as a goodwill gesture, it felt inappropriate and out of place given the circumstances. I left this Hilton location with an overwhelming sense of frustration and disappointment. I no longer feel confident booking future stays with Hilton, especially not at this location, and I cannot recommend this property to others. I feel that my concerns were not taken seriously, and the customer service I received was far from the standard I have come to expect from Hilton hotels. Here for a conference and had to wait 7 hours for a room. With no apology just an attendant who said you can’t prepare for a conference this big. Waited until I finally got my room. Bathroom for me is pretty small. Walls are thin I am able to hear the conversation of the person in the next room which makes it hard to go to sleep. Note: no microwave in the rooms.

I've attended events here before and noted that the hotel has had a renovation. Check in staff was friendly and pretty quick. Rooms are typical a bit smallish with a comfortable bed. The view is good . Used the $25.00 room credit per night towards food at the hotel.

Even a Lifetime Diamond member does not get an upgrade, and they do not have the slightest respect for specific room requests. I always ask for a room on a high floor in a quiet area, and they had assigned me a room on the first floor in a noisy area. I had to complain in order to get my room changed. I have stayed here nonetheless several times, because of work, and keep hoping that one day this place will be operated as a Hilton should be. I am still waiting, and hoping...

Be mindful they'll sneak in a destination/resort tax at check in. The rep at the desk stated you can use the total credits paid anywhere within the hotel, but at check you get another surprise the credit is per day not cumulative--so I got an extra bill...terrible communication and lack of transpency! Definitely would not stay here again.

Amazing front desk service. Nicole Clark was truly exemplary when I went to check in. She was very professional yet equally personable. The exchange with her led to the highlight of what was an otherwise difficult week. She absolutely represented the Hilton brand well!

I stayed here twice, two years apart, for a conference. Both times my rooms were nice and clean. The water pressure is great and the water gets very hot which was a nice bonus. The conference is largely attended. In my experience the staff from the front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, etc. have always been kind and patient. I look forward to our return!

We stayed there for two nights in the end of September. Main reason we chose this hotel was the pool. It's one of the few hotels that have outdoor pool open till the end of October. (6am-10pm daily) I went swimming there twice around 9pm, it was perfect. Pool is large enough and clean. The only thing which was unexpected was the $28 daily fee, which you can use as a credit for any food purchase. Accounting for the prices it would barely cover a coffee & a bagel.

Beautiful hotel... However first experience was not the greatest. I was here for a conference and multiple things went wrong including me having to wait 2.5 hrs for a room when check in is at 3 or 4pm. The staff was friendly and courteous but seeing the many people waiting around that was there for the conference was crazy. I headed to their restaurant McCellans sports bar to hang out. Good eats and drinks. Room very clean and nice. Squeaky bed but hey things happen. The hotel was working on the Internet while there so where I usually don't allow for room service during my hotel stays but they needed to come in to complete the wiring. Thus making me compelled to stay in my room while they complete the repair. I love the amount of restaurants in walking distance. The coffee shop had Starbucks which was great after a long day. The conference rooms are beautiful and the temperature was great. The hotel had hands sanitizer throughout the place which helped you feel safe. I would visit here again but I hope they have a smoother process and are ready to check people in in better timing. One consideration Homecoming weekend was taking place so the hotel literally could have been swapping out individuals simultaneously to us arriving for our conference. Although I didn't use these services they have valet, a city parking garage around the corner, liquor store on the next block and in the market area, as well as a Walgreens. There is a little store in the hotel...it was cute lots of Washington DC stuff including President bobblehead like statues.

Service is not there. Most employees didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Minimal effort if there at all. Only 1 employee at our entire stay greeted us with a smile. AC didn't work in room either. Allergies were horrible i don't know why. Old building I suppose. Lobby was well kept, it's a shame the room floors including the actual rooms have not been updated as well.

The lobby area and conference levels are updated and clean. The lobby store has a Starbucks but each time I visited, the service was slow and employees didn't seem anxious to help people. In one case, I just wanted to buy a can of soda, but the lady at the front register said "oh I'm not open" and I had to wait in the Starbucks line instead. For me, the hardest pa the rooms need updating, specifically the bathrooms. The vanity is small and a good portion of it is actually over the toilet! Just kinda yuck.

Wow! Only been here for one day and I am so ready to leave. There are no refrigerators in the room. I called downstairs to the front desk to ask for refrigerator. They told me there was none available. I asked to be put on a waiting list. They told me that they do not a waiting list that I would just have to keep calling back. The woman was very abrupt and rude. I asked if I could at least have an ice bucket and I was informed that it was under the nightstand. Maybe it's just that the building is older and needs some renovations. And while they're at it, they can renovate their customer service too!

Disappointing for the price. The walls are so thin you can heat your neighbor's conversations. The air conditioning goes from letting the room get warm to then blasting the bed with freezing air. No mini fridge. The room was clean but house keeping never brought new coffee cups, clean glasses, or emptied the ice bucket. And to top it all off, we received a call at 9:15 pm on our first night saying we had to move so they could do maintenance the next morning in the room! I said heck no. We were already in bed. So they said the would move US the next morning. I refused! I had only picked the room the day before but upgraded to get a high corner room. I was NOT moving. I expect more from Hilton.

There are some great restaurants within walking distance, and you can easily get an affordable ride to nearby attractions that are slightly farther away. Avoid the hotel's restaurant and bar, as they are overpriced and not worth the money. However, the small store in the hotel is convenient for grabbing a snack or drink. The rooms are adequate and clean, but the walls are quite thin. The pool is a nice addition and is open from 6am-10pm. Although I thought there was a hot tub, it's actually a kiddie pool, which is a nice addition for families with little ones.

The gym is super crowded and I think a lot of employees of the hotel use it as a side gig to do some personal training. I only went once because I found them rude, and the gym was very dirty. OK housekeeping. Kind of famous since Reagan was shot here. Good for large conferences.

Mediocre at best. The TV stopped working during my stay. The bathroom is really tight and minimal counter space. The cafe in the lobby is outrageously expensive. The room wasn't cleaned at the greatest level. The room temperature wouldn't go past 72 degrees. I had issues with my digital key and I had to go to the lobby a number of times to just get a hardcopy key. However, the staff at the front desk was very condescending when I informed him that the key wasn't working as if I hadn't tried all of the different options before having to walk down an extremely long hallway to go back to the lobby and get a new key.The convenience of the convention center is the upside to this hotel. You also are in a great location for walking around to local restaurants.

The Washington Hilton has a lot going for it. Location is great if you want to be near DuPont Circle. Easy walking around embassies, shopping, a few parks, and the Adams Morgan neighborhood. Its not a great choice if you're going to visit the monuments or the Mall as those are a pretty decent walk or ride away. Amenities are solid for a hotel of its vintage. Rooms are clean and comfortable but inconsistent. For instance, I had a mini fridge in my room but another guest I talked to did not. Now, the fridge I had was just plopped in front of the full length mirror and hadn't had the protective plastic removed, but it worked! The hotel has a distinctive design with long, curving, stretched wings. I normally choose a room away from the elevators for noise reason, but the walk to those end rooms on the curving hallway seemed endless at times. The gym was on the other side of the hotel from my room and it was a tenth of a mile walk (I clocked it). I wasn't particularly thrilled with the service at the in-hotel shop The District. The got my coffee right the second time around after I asked about the hold up on the first attempt. There's a great deal of history in the Hilton as well, showcased by the framed photos of US Presidents who have visited. There's also a plaque out back commemorating one President who almost didn't leave in 1981 which has also garnered the hotel its unofficial nickname of the "Hinkley Hilton." The hotel is aging with some issues, but definitely worthy of consideration if you're in need of lodging off the Circle.

We were staying in this hotel over Mother's DAY weekend. We chose it because our daughter lives nearby. The location and hotel itself are very nice. The lobby has a restaurant or two, as well as a market to buy quick items like coffee and bagels and croissants. We had a corner room, so a lot of windows and natural light. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was nice but a little small. The only negative was that our room was not cleaned between days of our stay.

Visited the Washington Hilton on a four day conference with work. Overall the hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Accommodations are reasonable and location is perfect for those wanting to do touristy things. During my visit we were provided with lunch and the conference ended with a formal black tie event. Food was very much okay. The desserts were quite frankly the star of the show every time. Bar serves strong drinks too! Banquet rooms were very large and bathrooms were always impeccable!

Decent hotel, for the price it gives you accessibility to many near by food and embassies. Larger meeting spaces so good for conferences. Breakfast is extra through Four Oaks restaurant. Beds are comfy. Small bathroom and oddly shaped to access the sink and toilet next to it which makes harder to get ready in the morning... No mini refrigerator in the room I stayed for deluxe king bedroom... it only accommodates 2 adults. Good view of the monument, nice terrace space. Definitely horrible lighted hallways. Staff is great and beautiful lobby entrance.

This place has one motivation. To RIP YOU OFF. When I book a hotel for business purposes, I always prepay because I am usually booking multiple rooms. I reserved 8 rooms and paid up front. Done right? Wrong. During check in they tried to charge my guests a $25 dollar "destination fee" and an additional $100 "security deposit" despite me dropping thousands up front. After check out they charged me AGAIN, more than doubling the amount. When I corrected them on their error, they came back with a spider web of amounts designed to confuse me in an effort to try and keep as much money as they can. I have spent countless hours trying to get my money back and I am still dealing with the mess. This place has zero accountability. Zero customer service. Zero communication skills. When you have an issue, they pass the buck over to corporate which is another nightmare. If they manage to get my money returned to me, I'll remove this review. I am just hoping that going to the public will get someone there to get me and my small business my money back.

First off, the staff here deserves 5 stars. This was by far the best customer service I've ever had at a Hilton property. The doorman was very helpful with directions. Check-in was swift with the check-in clerk kindly finding me a room available with a view. Housekeeping and room service were super friendly. The staff working the conference were above and beyond and kept the spaces immaculate. The rooms are decently sized and the bathrooms look brand new. The light in the bathroom is very dim so I had to just pray I was putting my makeup on ok. My room had 2 double beds. One bed I never touched since the pillow looked like it had foundation smeared on it and a hair. The bed I slept in was super comfy. Bonus was the very large TV with tons of viewing options. Room service food was delicious! The farrow salad was fresh with an snacking dressing. I also got the kid's flatbread pizza with pepperoni. It was hot, fresh, and perfect. The in-room dining menu does not have many options. If you are looking for basic drinks, just ask since not everything is listed. They were able to add sparkling water to my order without issue. The food at this conference with hundreds of attendees was the best I've had compared to any I've been to. The buffets for breakfast and dinner was always hot and fresh. They made sure to refill the dishes etc so the lines always moved quickly. They always made sure snacks, water/soda, and coffee were full in between sessions. Parking is pricy but it's an underground garage so my car was out of the hot sun and surrounded by security cameras. Elevators from the garage will take you right to your hotel floor. When accessing the garage on the way down, you have to find the elevators that show P1 or P2 (there's only one or two). I had to transfer elevators on the lobby level. All in all, a great hotel where the staff makes you feel spoiled.

Yikes The lobby and entry are deceiving Once you enter any of the floors it's dark, dimly lit and dingy Awful Actually kind of scary to walk through the curvy dark hallways to get to your room Key isn't even required to get to any floor And the people staying here were as scary as the decor When you enter your room it isn't any better. Lighting is terrible even inside the bathroom. Wallpaper seams splitting and peeling off Bonus.....if you book with a third party you don't even get points towards your reward program with Hilton Nothing seems or smells clean. This was a huge disappointment Was here for work so I couldn't leave but I am definitely reporting this to my employer Two stars due to ok bed and pillows

Here for a conference and it is nice to be located in the middle of everything. A nice historic hotel with architecture like no other. Staff is nice and professional.

The Washington Hilton will be the last time I stay at a Hilton property. Upon entering my first room, the bathroom door did not work as it was a sliding door that required the glass door being on the railing. I did not want to adjust the glass door myself as it was a safety hazard and when addressing this to the management, they moved my room. The evening went down hill as there was music playing throughout the night as my neighbors partied the night away. I called security twice to complain about the noise. The next morning, I woke up to speak to the management of the hotel about my situation. I simply wanted to have a room where I would sleep quietly, and ideally without neighbors. I didn't ask for a refund or upgrade. The response I received from the manager Alisha (sp?) was that they were "fully booked" and could not guarantee me a room that did not have neighbors to my left or right. I asked Alisha, "What would I do if I heard more noises through the night?" and Alisha informed me that I would simply call security again. That's simply not acceptable. Looking at their website, I was able to attempt to create a reservation for that night so the management was not honest in their assessment of a "no vacancy" status. I left the hotel the next day in the middle of my stay. It's the first time I've ever left a hotel during my stay. Upon calling the Washington Hilton the next day in an attempt to receive a refund for my stay, I spoke with a gentleman named Godfrey. He reinforced that Hilton would not issue me a refund as their attempt to move my room was deemed sufficient in their eyes. Godfrey informed me that guests have different expectations of their stay and service. Upon hearing that, I asked Godfrey if "a quiet night's stay was too much of an expectation for the Hilton brand." Godfrey simply reinforced that the Washington Hilton will not issue a refund for the stay as they feel they had a sufficient solution for their guests. Simply put, customer service is not within the ethos of the Washington Hilton or their staff. Alisha called me "combative" when I never cursed or raised my voice. This type of service is why I will never stay at a Hilton hotel again. Prospective guests, beware.

We stayed here as this was our conference hotel, but I would definitely choose another hotel on the next trip to D.C. Our bed was clean, but the mattress itself was very uncomfortable and the furniture in our room was filthy and you could tell that they don't clean the furniture often. The heating/cooling unit in the room was also very poor and didn't work well throughout our stay. Even worse than the room itself was the restaurant in the lobby; we came here for breakfast and were completely forgotten by our server; they seated us and got us drinks, but then never came back to our table until we complained to the manager. I know this hotel has a storied history and it's in a nice location, but they need some serious upgrades to this hotel to make it a place where you'd actually want to book a room.

Conference rooms were accommodating but bring a jacket because its cold. The in house catering was decent but the ambience was beautiful. The hotel is older but it iconic because of the history within the hotel.

Stayed here one time second time I ended up switching hotels because their price got outrageous, must have been the season, the time I did stay there everything was fine, parking was a little convoluted and difficult to find, room was clean, however somewhat small; not that I care since I was only there for one night for business. I would stay here again if the price is right.

The food and stuff were really expensive. The quality of the food was just okay. The Starbucks menu was limited and the prices high.

Located near the bustling DuPont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods, this Hilton hotel is ideally located for your next DC adventure. The hotel is not far from major tourist attractions, including the White House. The interior is modern. If you are a Hilton Honors member with status, there is a designated check-in line to the left of the general check-in line. The lobby level features three restaurants--Sidecar, McClellans sports bar, and a breakfast/lunch restaurant. I preferred McClellans over Sidecar-superior service, menu selection and ambiance. The pizzas here are quite tasty and of generous portions. Be advised this location charges a $20/day "destination fee," which provides $20 credit for on-site restaurants and market or $10 toward bike share rentals. The rooms are well appointed. Hilton beds are generally super comfy and this location is no exception. Counter space and the overall restroom could use some cosmetic improvements. Also, shout out to BayLee at the front desk for a great, smooth check-in and assisting me prior to arrival via the Hilton app. Fundamentally, this is a nice hotel, well-located, and a perfect home base for your next DC adventure.

Mrs. Picante and I visited DC in early November 2022 for a work-related event/conference, hosted by the Washington Hilton. The hoteloffered a promotional rate for the room during our stay, with the option to "upgrade" from the two-double bed room to a single king for a nominal additional charge. We made this upgrade decision easily. The hotel building is an interesting curved design, such that the hallways on each floor don't offer the long straightaway view, but likewise curve to limit your view to just a door or two. There's certainly some privacy offered with this arrangement, but also a bit eerie, augmented by the relatively low fluorescent lighting and the generally drab shades of gray used on the carpet, walls and ceiling. This curved design also seemed to influence the room floor plans; some rooms had a door on the hallway, while others had non-uniform entrances and off-shoot smaller hallways. Room numbering was also non-linear, so we sort of just kept walking until we found our room. The room had what I'll call a "creative layout": a narrow entryway off the main hall, a door that opened essentially into the bathroom, a sitting area way too close to the chest of drawers and wall-mounted TV, and a separate-ish area for the king bed that made watching that TV a bit of a head-turner. A smaller recessed area nearer the bed was probably the former location for a 1980s-era desktop TV, but was only a blank wall now. The TV remote did not work from the bed, requiring one to sit up and position the remote about 3 feet directly in front of the screen. We called for someone to come up and fix it, but they were unable to do so. The bed was comfortable and clean, with plenty of light and electrical outlets for chargers and such. The shower water pressure and temperature were awesome, but the shower itself was more narrow than my shoulders, and the shower head was not centered, so there were no right angles in there for my 6'3" self. Coffee maker worked fine, no mini fridge. View from our upgraded 9th floor room from two windows (on either side of the TV) was of the adjacent apartment building. Lots of uncurtained windows to make that interesting if you're into the Peeping Tom thing. The lobby features a coffee shop, a bar/restaurant, and several sitting areas. Staff, bell, and concierge services were all very friendly and helpful. Conference facilities in grand ballroom downstairs were fine, too. With only 8 US states left for us to visit in our travels, we've stayed in a lot of hotels, and this one was fine. It's an older building, but a nice place to stay. Proximity to several small restaurants, and within a couple miles of the White House and National Mall.

For the price point this hotel is decent, but not excellent. If it wasn't for the exceptional weight staff concierge service in the folks at work in the kitchen I would've rated this place much lower but those being a factor I would give it a solid three but I would say shop the area they were other boutique offerings at the same price. Also friendly staff also great views, but I think you might find yourself better serviced but shout out to all the ladies that were working and clean up laundry and those awesome woman that worked in the kitchen shout out to you because you're the quiet heroes of this establishment.

This has been the worst hotel stay! I arrived in the evening. And then went out for a business dinner. I returned late. Settled in to discover he room had no working TV. I called down and after waiting for the technician to come in and out of the room multiple times he announced that the TV could not be fixed. The following morning I awoke, an attempted to turn on the TV to watch the morning g news and was reminded that I would get nothing but a blank screen. Determined to do something other than stare at myself I attempted to call room service. Now the landline phone in my room was not working properly. In the middle of one call the phone would mysteriously start dialing another coupled with loud static on the line making it unable to hear the person on the other end of the line. I the attempted to call the manager and had to suffer through the static as I was placed on hold. After ten minutes I decided I also try my cell phone to reach the manager. Now I waited on hold on two phones for another 10 minutes. After a largely pointless exchange with the manager for another 10 minutes, she offered me Hilton honors points. I can assure you if I use them it won't be at the Washington Hilton.

I will not stay here again. The service is pretty much non existent! We were there for a convention and looked like they might be fully booked but the lack of and, extremely slowness of service is totally unacceptable.

I stay here several times a year on business as our professional association tends to hold its meetings here. Hotel is nice, rooms are clean and comfy, and I like the DuPont Circle neighborhood for great places to eat. What I like the best is there is a grab and go coffee shop/bakery where I can pick up a quick bite or something to drink without having to leave the premises when I only have a few minutes between meetings.

Great room, great staff and great location. I would definitely return to DC and stay in this location. The concierge is super helpful. The rooms were a tad small and needed a little updating, but overall a quality stay.

The hotel is in a nice area (Adams Morgan), near enough to walk to the Zoo and local parks and not a bad walk from Dupont Circle Metro. The staff are very friendly and polite. The hotel was clean and housekeeping very attentive. The rooms have windows that open so you can get fresh air. The rooms felt a bit small. They don't all come with a fridge. You have to ask for housekeeping. Worst was I could hear both my neighbors every day. I've been in 2-star roadside motels with better soundproofing between the rooms. This was the biggest surprise, especially from a top brand like Hilton. The in-hotel convenience store is crazy expensive. I'm prepared to pay a bit extra because I'm in a hotel, but this was just outrageous. $10 for a yogurt parfait, $14 for a pre-made salad. And the service there is slow, seems perpetually understaffed. I was there for a conference. The meeting rooms are good, acoustics are fine, though there are some dead spots because of the curved walls and ceiling fixtures. The food was good but the servings always felt a bit short. The coffee was bad, I think they serve Starbucks so it always tasted burnt.

TL; DR: Run! Do NOT stay here! My family and I recently stayed at The Washington Hilton primarily because Hilton has a connecting rooms thing going and we wanted two rooms with a king bed in each. The first set of rooms assigned did not have a bed at all but a mess with bed frames and sheets in the bathtub. So we requested we be moved to a set of rooms with a king bed in each as promised. The second set of rooms had one king bed in one room and a tiny couch in the other, nowhere someone could sleep for four nights. By this time we were tired and hungry and I asked that we get a refund of our money for at least one night. We were told that it would not happen because we were getting upgraded to the "executive floor." In this set, we had two beds but shower heads that did not work and a fridge that well...had seen better days. When we contacted Hilton via email they said they couldn't do anything and we had to resolve the issue with the hotel. The hotel said they had done everything they could because well...executive floor. I should add that we totally get that the industry is completely overextended. Which is why we didn't ask for a complete refund, only one night's stay. It doesn't cost anything to refund a night's stay in exchange for a lifetime of loyalty. But after this experience, we will be sticking with Marriott as we usually do.

Conference hotel but it is a Hilton. My room was small but clean and had a great view out front. Bars were probably subpar but there are many other places to go hang out. We attended a 2200+ three day conference here and the wait staff in the ball room was fantastic. Food was mostly better than average. (We had both breakfast and lunch provided). Coffee shop was stellar! Remember that the ballroom has seen some pretty historic events and if you go to the circle drive outside of the terrace level, you can see the plaque denoting where Reagan was shot.

Attended a nearly 2,000 person event here. The food was delicious! It started with a two-shrimp appetizer that was cooked to perfection and very yummy sauce (butternut squash purée). Everyone cleaned their plate. The main course was a beef tenderloin that was NOT over cooked! That's a first for me. The plate had variety of color and textures. The person next to me was pleased with his vegetarian option. The lighting and ambiance was nice. Sound was a bit loud but that may have been where my table was located.

To be fair, we had a beautiful room with very comfortable beds. That about covers the pros. The cons were: we checked in around 4pm but we had to sit in the lobby with our luggage amid hundreds of other people attending the same event because our room wasn't ready for another 90 minutes. It was nightmarish. The hotel lobby is large and confusing as it is not well-marked. The hotel clearly caters to a particular class of traveler that doesn't mind not having home-like amenities in the room, like fridges and microwaves. Unless you bring your own plug-in cooler and some way to warm up food, there's no way to purchase/save food and eat it later. You're basically hostage to the restaurants and what amounts to a commissary downstairs or room service. And you can't save any money at any of them because they're pretty much all priced the same. Due to certain circumstances we were unable to go out exploring to find other options for meals, and delivery looked like a nightmare because our group was so big that the lobby was always crowded. The saving graces were certain people on the staff, who deserve to be mentioned by name: Aster in Housekeeping, Dora in Guest Services, and Fetya in the gift shop. We thank them for doing an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and cared for.

wow shockingly bad for somewhere upwards of $400 a night. First, there was someone occupying my room when I used my key to enter after checking in yesterday. Then they moved me to another room, which they hadn't bothered to make up today by the time I arrived back here around 1pm. When I finally asked about it around 5pm, they said housekeeping had already left and so it was too late but I could have some towels. I was hoping they would actually make up the room because there was no shower gel in the shower when I arrived (and, I guess, there won't be any for me tomorrow either). and now I'm out of regular coffee in the room too. Highway robbery!

Nice hotel in great location near heart of Adam's-Morgan & DuPont Circle. But BEST thing: an amazing yoga instructor daily (M-F at least)--as good as I've had anywhere. If in shape and looking for great yoga-he's the guy.

Beautiful hotel, convenient, and good service. We live nearby but were having some work done on our place and unexpectedly needed a room for the night. This is the hotel I recommend to all of my out-of-town friends to stay in when they come to town. Cons are the amenity fee (forget the amount, but silly when the pool isn't open--they say it goes toward "free" internet, expanded channels, fitness center, etc. You get a $20 room credit for food and $10 for Lyft...?) and the parking fee: $52 for self-parking. Which is silly even for DC. Pros are the location, pool during summer, and quality of the facilities and the room--the beds are nice and the pillows are actually comfy. We ordered dessert from the restaurant, and while the folks there were great, we were not impressed with the quality of the food.

A nice hotel with great staff & a good location. We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights and enjoyed it. The kids loved the big pool. It was super convenient to have a Starbucks in the lobby. Amazingly our room was quiet! We slept well on the comfy beds & pillows. The thought occurred to us to order a roll off bed/cot...after we left. We will be back!

If I could give a 0 or negative number, I would. This was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. When we checked into our room, we saw the sheets had blood colored stains on them. It wasn't just one little small red smear. They were significantly stained in several places. When my husband called the front desk to tell them about the sheets and request that they be changed, they asked him what the stains were. How were we supposed to know what it was? All we knew is that the color of the stains were a dark red, like red lipstick or blood. After he got off the phone with them, they called back to tell us that rooms were not being serviced at this time. The condition of the sheets was unsanitary and totally unacceptable. The fact that hotel management would not do anything to remediate the situation was unacceptable.

Really nice hotel with good restaurants, friendly staff and a pretty neat history. However if you're planning on getting any work done in your room, the Wi-Fi never seems to be reliable. So that is unfortunate.

I was staying here for several nights and needed drinking water BADLY one of those nights. I went to the vending machine and the card reader wasn't working properly and it didn't accept cash. So I go downstairs thinking I'd just buy some water at their 24/7 Cafe. They were closed. Keep in mind that they told me it was open 24/7. So I approach front desk, and there's no one there. Finally, a staff member comes out and she tells me to go to 7/11, in the middle of the night. Why would I walk to 7/11 at almost 3am, alone? I only needed some water, a simple request. And there was literally no option, and they told me because the machines were operated by a third party, there was nothing they could do. I've had other hotels who have been so accommodating. And this was the simplest request, drinkable water....... Other than that, rooms are standard and clean enough.

Stayed for a conference and wish I would have stayed anywhere else and walked to meetings each morning. CONS: - 20 dollar daily destination/resort fee. But this includes free internet (that every hotel has) valued at $12.95, so there's that. - Shower is dirty with very few towels. Also, the wall-hung body wash dispenser that everyone hates was empty for my entire 3 night stay. - TV and iron weren't fully functional. TV had a DirecTV-only remote, but the TV itself had continuous closed captioning with no corresponding control. Iron didn't stay on. - Room was old and dingy. Stains on the ceiling, chips in the 30 year old wood furniture. God Knows What in the carpet. - No USB charging ports. Insufficient lighting. - Housekeeping came once during 3 day stay PROS: You'll get your steps walking the never-ending, dark and curved hallways.

Have only been here today but so far would give 0 stars if possible. Check in - huge line of people checking in for a conference, only 2 front desk attendants. Then I'm accosted by a Hilton honors employee to try to sell me a vacation while I'm holding a crying baby. We get up to our room and it's very far from the elevators. One star because the bell man helped us get moved, but then it was to the wrong type of room. So crying baby in tow we then have to go back to our original rooms. Then we are finally in the room and we had requested a refrigerator and microwave two weeks ahead of time since we must have these for baby care and sterilizing his bottles. I call the front desk and get horrible attitude and am told my request by email isn't valid..... they only honor requests at the time of check in. So I request it then and I'm told there's no guarantee I'll get them.... This is why I requested them two weeks ahead of time???? Rooms are also tiny, in disrepair, and staff so rude. Yikes.

I planned to check out and not say anything, but it was too egregious to walk away. I also felt like Hilton would see me as a problem because I complained and still had poor experiences. Therefore, I decided what the heck, it's paid for and people should hear about it. So it's an immediate no for future stays. Please know there is a $100/per day deposit required. The hotel is a bit older, and I've encountered some grumpy & unsavory responses; I hope NEVER to stay here again. I stayed 6-days and was happy to leave. I have experienced nothing short of shenanigans since I arrived. In the first room I was given, the bed was wet, the soap was used, the bathroom counter was damp, and the room smelled. I switched to another room, and the chest below the television looked like it had burnt holes; the ceiling had water or smoke damage, and the bathroom mirror cracked. I was moved to the third room, and the television didn't work. An engineer came by to look at the TV, and he could not fix the television and said I would have to switch rooms. I've been to the front desk so many times, trekking from room to room, issue to issue, that I am sure I have taken 5,000 steps. Finally, I went to speak to the manager, and I think he was eating because he reeked of onions, or at least I hope it was onions. I have moved again, and it is my 4th room. I went to the front desk after having dinner in the hotel because the room was cold, and I asked for a blanket. The associate at the desk tersely and rudely responded, "Oh, I remember dealing with you! I said, "Dealing with me? I resent that, and your comment and tone are disrespectful, have a good evening." When they "accidentally" forgot to clean up my room, I called about it and they placed toiletries and towels on an unmade bed in an untidy room. The whole experience was terrible, and I wish my conference were at another hotel. I am a Hilton Honors member, and staying here has not been an honor. I spoke with Hilton customer service and they're response was, "we've learned the hotel has been in touch with you." The hotel staff are the problem, and you believe they will responsibly correct it? Of course you have to reach out to them to investigate and to say the hotel has been in touch have a great day, didn't sit well. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this experience - I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Hi - the "business owner" has commented asking me to call. I did, no answer. I also sent an email almost two weeks ago. No response. It's nice of them to pretend to want feedback and communication on this app - but never actually follow through with that. (Especially given that we are unable to comment back to her....)

Still a 1...more comments are coming out to show the response to pests was inequitable. Another woman who also attended Go Wild and doesn't look like me or my roommate, had part of her stay comped and I can't even get a reply. I even had a follow up email sent to me from Hilton Honors when I emailed them trying to resolve it with them because I felt like the front desk dismissed our concerns.

Was a bit disappointed in this Hilton. Rooms are a bit small and cramped with very, very small soap, and shampoo bottles, so I was concerned about 2 people to share, for example. ( not enough) The hotel seemed large, and we got in late but got the wrong food credit information from the front desk upon check-in. ( said I had to use it by that first night. They also didn't mention I would get an additional bonus- gold member of more $ to spend and said on the $20 we had to use that night which was untrue. Also, no refrigerator in the rooms either, which was disappointing. We couldn't find an ice bucket either, so we used a paper cup which, of course, didn't work out great. We noticed the day we were leaving-Apparently, the ice bucket was hiding under the night table on the bottom, which we were frustrated to find after the fact. Not sure we would come here again, but we picked this Hilton for the location to where we needed to be. In addition, we looked at the bill then sent to our email- we were charged $56 for parking when we had paid for room and parking in a package price. I called the hotel, and they sent another copy of the bill- apologized, but I'm not sure if they even credited me back as I didn't see it on the second invoice to see the credit slip. They only sent me the bill again. Good luck if you stay here - keep on top of your account and check. On the plus side, parking on 19th Street- we got confused because they said parking around the corner. It is not. There are two parking garages. Go behind the blg for guest parking. Not the one by ballroom parking but the one saying Hilton parking. Good luck

If you're visiting Washington, DC, the Washington Hilton is a great place to stay. It's known for its rich history, massive size, and convenient location (just a short walk from the Dupont Circle Metro station). I've attended the annual NCURA conference here for years, and the hotel always impresses with its ability to accommodate large crowds. The staff is exceptional - attentive and kind. The restaurant employees even remember my daughter, who has been coming here since she was three years old (she's now 13!). While the restaurant's prices are high, the food is delicious. The executive rooms are especially nice, but the standard rooms are perfectly adequate. Overall, the Washington Hilton staff is dedicated to making your stay enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel.
