Texas Crawfish Pop-Ups Bring Cajun Boils to Austin | Eater Austin

"In Corpus Christi, Water Street Oyster Bar is a longtime seafood restaurant where Sergio Lazo began his career as an oyster shucker, honed his skills there and at oyster-shucking competitions, and carried that shellfish expertise into his Austin pop-ups." - Taylor Tobin

It was very crowded, but there was no long wait. The oysters were fresh, clean, and there was a wide variety. The seafood was fresh and well-prepared. After the meal, you can visit the warship or take a walk along the coast; there are stairs to sit on and enjoy the view. I will come back again because I love seafood.

Google
We were staying on the Island for a weekend getaway and decided to head into town for dinner—so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was just as amazing. The Oyster Rockefeller was some of the best I’ve ever had. Even though it was busy, the service was still excellent and the wait time was minimal. They even had a specials on mocktails which was perfect for people who don’t drink! Highly recommend!

Google
Someone recommended this restaurant and I’m glad they did! Our server Marty was wonderful. She recommended my plate and man it was good! Real friendly and made us feel like home. Over all food was delicious the atmosphere was pleasant. My wife and I will definitely be back. Thank you Marty!!

Google
Great restaurant in downtown Corpus Christi. Excellent oyster menu with lots of variety, raw and cooked. Extensive menu options including seafood, sushi, pasta, steak and more. Bar serves food as well.

Google
Great place, we will definitely be back! We went with the Elevated Margarita, Grilled Sampler, Woodfired Oysters and some sushi. Delicious!

Vidal S.

Google
One thing I can say is the atmosphere and vibe of the place was really good. There's a raw seafood bar where you can watch the workers prepare. Plenty of seating but I admit it was VERY busy. We had to reserve 5 hours in advanced to secure a spot. The food was OK, not bad but also not mind-blowing. Everything was fully cooked and presented beautifully but the flavor was lacking. (The dipping sauce was really good though). Overall personally I wouldn't recommend this. But dont let that deter you from trying it. The waiter and staff were super friendly, just the food I tasted was not up to my standards.

Guy A.

Google
The hype is legit. This place delivered. Sat at the bar because that’s where the action is. Staff was great. Let them pick everything for fun and it all was amazing.

Google
This is a great little gem in CC. The building was remodeled and done very modern and cool. At the back of the bar, they have this cool wall done in oyster shells. The oysters were on point. I could have eaten a million. The service was terrific. We will definitely be going back. I will say I will most likely skip the sushi next time. It was dry for sushi.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Nice venue, long bar. At the suggestion of staff, I ordered a 3-type sampler of oysters. They were delicious! Free parking on right side.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that the food was really good; our waitress was wonderful, and the ambiance is always great here. I took 2 stars off because 1) $38/dozen raw oysters is absolutely ridiculous! We're literally on the ocean. And secondly, from the seafood gumbo to the mesquite grilled mahi-mahi, everything was room temperature at best. I like my gumbo HOT temperature wise and spice as well. Bring your wallet, because it aint cheap.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice downtown eatery. I leaned toward the sushi tonight. Ordered the edamame appetizer which was hot and salted. Pretty standard. Followed it up with a spicy tuna roll and Spider roll. The spicy tuna roll may be the best I've ever eaten. The rice was soft and sweet and the tuna super fresh. Bravo on this one. The spider roll was excellent as well and had little herb leafs in it. A couple of mixed drinks and was out the door super satiated.

Yelp
We picked this place for our New Year's Day brunch and it was outstanding! The oysters were delicious as well as every other dish that we chose. The service was exceptional and quick! Not only was the food delicious, but the recommendations were on point definitely going back.

P T.

Yelp
Once again, Water Street Oyster Bar was perfect! We began the meal with shrimp cocktail & hush puppies & both were excellent. The salad with walnut dressing is my favorite & the grilled redfish was cooked to perfection. We had 3 different sauces & each was outstanding (not as fantastic as the walnut dressing but still outstanding!). Our server, Alexis G, must be a pro as she timed each course to arrive at exactly the moment we were ready! We asked to sit in the side room as it is a bit warmer. We old folks get chilled easily, so there's a very chilly dining area & a less chilly one! The food was great! The service was excellent & the surroundings were very pleasant. We will come straight here on our next visit!

Lisa H.

Yelp
Food is always of good quality and freshness . Staff is pleasant and prompt . New Business manager, Jack, made rounds to check on customers and make them feel special . This place never disappoints ..... check out their brunch menu . Great food and good prices .

Yelp
So we have been staying in the area for the past week for a reunion and have enjoyed the local cuisine. The Water Street Oyster Bar had been the highlight of all the places we have visited. It is a really scenic walk from our hotel and when you walk in it is a fresh open area that is well set up. With the oyster bar adjacent to the main restaurant. The service both visits has been top notch! The greeters are so friendly and welcoming. The first visit I had the seafood jambalaya and man that was amazing. I kept try not to eat too fast because I wanted to savor the flavor. My wife had the blackened trout and really enjoyed it. We were with a group this particular visit. So the next night we snuck off alone and went back. Same great service. But this time I got the crawfish stuff chicken breast with what I think was some dirty rice. Wifey got the bacon wrapped shrimp with the same rice. We also ordered our own oysters. Mine were raw and wife had the oyster Rockefeller. This food is delicious and is a must visit if you are in the area. If I was a local I'd be here all the time.

Yelp
I have been to Corpus Christi several times and have never gotten the chance to dine at Water Street, but have always heard so many compliments. FINALLY got the chance to go after many years to check it out for myself. This day we went for Happy Hour. From 3 to 6 they have half priced oysters and sushi and drink specials. We had a dozen gulf oysters for $1.50 each, Calamari $16, Margarita's $6.50, Cabernet $7, Black Tuna Roll $8 and Rainbow Roll $8.50. Everything was amazing and fresh! I would just probably skip the Black Tuna Roll next time. It was ok, but not something I would order again. Service was top notch and quick considering how busy they were. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Our last meal in Corpus was amazing! Started with an extra dirty martini and an old fashioned. Our apps the oysters Rockefeller and wood grilled oysters. Wow! We shared for the main course, the ribeye and shrimp. Let's not forget the loaded baked potato. Everything was incredible. And yes, we rolled out of there. Till next time.

Yelp
I was Visiting the city for a celebration and returned to one of my favorite restaurants when living here years ago. It's Still a location with great ambience and a lively crowd enjoying their food and drink. It was lunchtime so I headed over for a chicken Caesar and a Loanstar. As always the bread is good and the service welcoming and efficient. The generous serving of blackened chicken on a bed of romaine was delicious. I must admit the Romaine could have been less wilted but still tasty. The restaurant sits in a complex of great places to have a casual meal and often outstanding entertainment. It's nice to return and enjoy another satisfying experience in the downtown area!

Yelp
If you're ever in the mood for some really tasty shrimp poor boy and sweet potato fries, head on over there. Great service, lively place with upstairs sitting as well, and the staff are amazing. Katie (I'm hoping that's her name) at the bar, will take really good care of you. It was my first time visiting Corpus -- Water Street Oyster Bar became one of my favorite spots. Cheers!

Yelp
Only 4 stars because we came for a little snack of Mexican shrimp cocktail and miso soup. Well....add a glass of wine to that too. Ha Our server Sarah was a nice breath of fresh air and took excellent care of us for the short time we were there. She gets 5 stars. We will come back and try out some of their main courses next time in Corpus. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great!
google avatar

Fanci C.

Yelp
Oysters always on point! Sushi is great as well as soups salads and seafood! Don't eat out often but when downtown and looking for excellent food visit here!

Yelp
The place was excellent - the service was on point- the food was delicious especially the hush puppies .

Yelp
Stopped in for a meal with a coworker here and had the Lulu poke bowl. Very tasty and refreshing. Our server was very helpful in deciding what we should get for dinner. The outside instead of rocks has oyster shells, which is very cool. I ended up having the Venus 83 drink with empress gin, and it was a delight. Nothing makes a drink pop then some purple gin. The meals are reasonably priced for downtown. Hoping I get to visit Corpus Christi again so I can come back here.

Yelp
Their food is so good. All the fish plates and also We love their Caldo and also the wedge salad. Their bread they bring with the food is not that great. Basic white loaf. I wish they would change that to sourdough or somthing else. Their service is great also.
google avatar

Rach C.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner. The drink was amazing...had two ..my blackened chicken Alfredo was ok...more watery sauce then a thick cheesey Alfredo sauce but good. My son did enjoy his meal but the oyster Rockefeller was not my cup of tea. They had chunks of onions under the cheese and just not the flavor profile I enjoy but others seem to love them. All in all....I would definitely recommend this place and would for sure come back.
google avatar

Robin W.

Yelp
The service was very friendly! I definitely enjoyed the sushi, however the hubby found the burger very bland. We did enjoy the ambiance. If we visit again we will stick to sushi and go during happy hour!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Probably the worst food I've ever had. Calamari was so bland and tasted rotten. Burger was the most well done burger I've ever had with old, wet lettuce. This is supposed to be a crown jewel of Corpus and it's awful! Please do not come here--Go to a chain restaurant--this place will absolutely disappoint you. Took 35 minutes for this awful burger to come out. When did restaurants stop caring about making good food?
google avatar

Krynn L.

Yelp
We had high hopes and were pretty disappointed. It's a super cute place and our waitress was friendly but the food was sub par. We tried the oysters Rockefeller and they were ok if a little dry. We split a fried shrimp & oyster platter. The shrimp were overcooked and the oysters had a strange flavor. Also, I feel like. If you're going to charge $20-$49 a plate, you'd better make your own sauces and they better be GOOD!! These were NOT

Yelp
We called the restaurant ahead of time to check if they allowed dogs. The first person we spoke with said they did, but the patio was under construction. We called again later, and this time they confirmed the patio was open and dogs were welcome. So we decided to go. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Parking was available on the side of the restaurant. The place was already busy, but we were seated right away since no one else was sitting outside. The patio was still being renovated, but it was open and usable. They still honor happy hour on Saturdays from 3 to 6. Our server brought us a menu that had dinner options on one side and sushi on the other. About two-thirds of the sushi was included in the happy hour deal and was half off. They also had a variety of beers and wines on special, along with several food specials not listed on the regular menu. We started with oysters. They were large, fresh, and not too salty or briny. They came out quickly. For entrées, my wife ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops, which came with parmesan zucchini, stir-fried rice, and a Caesar salad on the side. We were also given complimentary bread. The scallops were perfectly cooked--big, tender, and wrapped in bacon that had a nice char. Possibly wood-fired, but we're not sure. I ordered the blackened red snapper, which was one of the specials that night. It came with rice, seasoned vegetables, and a buttery, garlicky sauce that reminded me of a beurre blanc. The fish was fresh, cooked well, not dry, and had great flavor. The sauce was a perfect complement. Overall, everything came out fairly quickly, especially for a Saturday night. Even though the patio was under renovation, it was still comfortable, and we appreciated being able to bring our dogs. The food, service, and atmosphere made for a great experience. We'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Great place for oysters. Fresh fish specials daily. We went there for my dil birthday and enjoyed out meal. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the shrimp picayune -BOTH were delicious. Be advised the picayune sauce - order a side of it for any and everything! Yummo! Great service, friendly folks. Fun atmosphere with friends, family and small children menu too. A must stop in CCTX!!

Yelp
First time dining here and it was eh. Server was great. Drinks were good. Biggest issue I had was the steak. Now to be fair this is a seafood restaurant, but since they were touting the steak as a highly recommended dish, you would think they would know how to cook it. It was not a good cut, and the first time it came out it was medium well when I ordered medium rare. The second time it came out, I'm not sure what happened, but short version is I just decided to not bother with it after a few bites. Atmosphere was upbeat but relaxed. When I'm back in the area, I may give it another shot, but I won't be ordering the steak.

Yelp
Went for a birthday celebration and out our waitress Marty hooked us up! She chose a dozen oysters that she thought we'd like and she was spot on. The yellow sauce was also my favorite with these guys. The. She brought us a key lime pie to go for his birthday which turned out to be absolutely delicious. A great spot with amazing food. Their margarita was on point too. Next door there happened to be an open mic night happening on the patio and that was a beautiful spot to end our evening.

Sharon M.

Yelp
Seafood is exceptional with imaginative, well prepared specials on a huge chalk board. Tables are very close to each other. If you are portly, you may not appreciate that. Exceptional service. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Oysters are always spot on.
google avatar

Yelp
The greeter was nice.. the restaurant was beautiful to walk into! I definitely loved the atmosphere. Perfect for families, friends, and even if you want to be solo. Our waitress Stephanie (Steph) She was AMAZING! From the start to the finish. Excellent customer service. Great personality! Infectious positive energy. I loved the service we received. Thank you for making my first time here a great one!!! The food was delicious! The raw oysters, the gumbo and the Philadelphia sushi were to die for! I can't wait to come back. The dessert was also delicious! A definite must try if you are in the area!

Yelp
Everything at Waterstreet Oyster Bar is incredibly fresh and flavorful--oh my goodness yum! It's a beautiful location and bar. Pretty drinks! Come grab a quick bite or have a special occasion here! Great first date vibes! With charming ambience, friendly staff, and a lively happy hour scene, it's a true downtown Corpus gem. Plus, it's just a short walk to the waterfront and surrounded by fun little shops. Perfect spot for locals and visitors alike. I've included footage of the beauty that is Corpus Christi!! Water Street Oyster Bar & Sushi is definitely a fav. Thank you!

Yelp
Service: 5 stars Food: 3.5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars First meal in CP that was recommended by locals. Summary of ratings are above and the service really made the trip worth while. Call it the TX or southern hospitality because everyone is really kind here. We arrived a few hours before closing but did not feel rushed. I ordered the miso soup for starter but couldn't finish because of the high salt. The item was removed from our bill after I shared my review with the server. Both dishes were good, but hubby's dish had more flavor. The rice made the dish for me and the Black and Salmon meal that I ate was okay. The salmon was flaky and cooked perfectly I just wanted a bit more seasoning besides salt and pepper. I was hungry and it was late so very minimal options to be picky. We will give this location another try in the future. Again, the service made our time worth while and I want to try other dishes on the menu. See ya'll soon!
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I popped in there on a Saturday and sat at the bar. Christian took care of us. My husband loves how he makes old fashions. We started off with a dozen raw oysters. The were great from Clearwater, then we heard about the huge oysters from the gulf so we ordered just one, it was so big, too big and we were glad at the recommendation from Christian. I had the striped bass, it was cooked perfectly. My husband had blackened redfish, he loved it. Both were served with delicious seasoned rice and squash. We have sat at a table and at the bar, each time the service was great!
google avatar

Yelp
All around great atmosphere for friends and family. Food quality was excellent also. Location and wait times can be a bit long depending on when you get there.

Yelp
The last two times I visited Corpus Christi I stopped by here for dinner. Is it amazing? Not really, is it solid? Yes! Everything on their menu is decent, especially their oysters! It's near by the Selena monument so you can eat and check it out afterward to digest your food.
google avatar

Vanessa H.

Yelp
Loved visiting this place!!! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. It was a great place to spend with my friends and celebrate! If I'm ever back in area, I will definitely check them out again and explore more menu options.
google avatar

Yelp
Service, food quality & value has slipped a long way since my last visit here. I ordered a Cajun style seafood pasta that turned out to be very disappointing. I'm not likely to return here anytime soon.
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
Been here twice and both times have been very good. The stuffed mushrooms are top tier. The bacon wrapped shrimp were pretty good too. Volcano roll is great for everyone and the sweet potato fries are perfection.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I were in Corpus this past weekend and staying downtown. We decided to walk to dinner and chose Water Street as it was close by. We happened upon happy hour with some great deals on sushi and drinks. We both ordered two rolls. Everything came out quickly and with generous portions. We really enjoyed all the food and the service was really well done, including for our little one. Would definitely recommend hitting them up for happy hour!
google avatar

Lana K.

Yelp
Cute, modern place with on-site parking, which can fill up fast. We had wood grilled oysters, crispy calamari and Bloody Mary's along with oysters on the half shell and some rolls. We waited 20 minutes or so and with good reason. The sushi, oysters on half shell, and U Peel shrimp are on Happy Hour from 3p-6p daily. Sadly, the service was slow and our server was inattentive. Tidal wave (recommended), ocean roll, spider roll were the rolls we tried, which were displayed a bit sloppy like how a buffet plate would look. There were plenty more rolls to choose from, but we weren't satisfied with the ones we received. Honestly, I don't know if I'd go back due to the service versus the prices and the money spent.
google avatar

Marc R.

Yelp
Went here for a work conference and our party did not make a reservation which caused a significant wait time. When we finally got seated our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and made suggestions since most of the party was first timers. I ordered the halibut and the fish was cooked excellently. It came out glowing and the lemon/butter sauce on top was delicious! The mushrooms and rice were excellent sides that paired well. The zucchini didn't need the tomato sauce on top but they were still good Thankful the waitress suggest the halibut I loved it!
google avatar

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
So we returned home with our leftovers, which were packed with utmost care by our server, Lauren! There were extra rolls, butter, and dressing for the leftover salad... And everything was labeled so we knew exactly what was in the containers and how to treat them... we don't want sauce falling, dripping out. It was like we were at the restaurant all over again but at home, so thank you Lauren for doubling our wonderful experience! Always great to enjoy the food the exact same way at home as you did at the restaurant.

Yelp
Good service at the bar great drinks. Enjoyed sports bar talk at the bar. Had some happy hour sushi rolls and my wife had the jambalaya pasta. pretty good spot in downtown Corpus.
google avatar

Camillia E.

Yelp
While on a work trip, I went here with a few coworkers and was very impressed by the ambience service and price point for the food. If I ever go back to corpus, I will definitely go back to this restaurant and take more advantage of their happy hour as we arrive last minute.

Yelp
Almost wanted to give a 2 but hospitality wise they are top notch. Food wise not good. No it's not restaurant's problem, it's probably Texas problem, they don't know how to make seafood. Only way to cook oysters is raw or fried? Shrimp platter only comes with stir fried or fried? The seafood platter was so oily that I almost thrown up. The typical raw oyster also felt not so fresh and salty (I assume it's very fresh so it's the way they processed it), without using the lime (which I never do) it was not easy to gabble then down. The pasta also, very heavy cheese. It's almost New Orleans style or just any typical seafood restaurant would have the dishes, but simply not good. I love New Orleans food, every restaurant is 4 stars there, somehow Florida and Texas don't make good seafood (so not just you if it helps). Vibe and service were excellent, I should have just gone with jambalaya, nothing can go wrong with that right?

Yelp
We had an awesome experience here. We sat at the bar to watch a football game and all of the bartenders were friendly and attentive. We ordered the artichoke dip and fried oysters platter. Also had one of the best espresso martinis yet! Everything was delicious and the place had a great atmosphere!

Yelp
If you are hoping for good fresh fried shrimp, you won't find it at Waterstreet any more. They used to have delicious fried shrimp. We live in Rockport, where Pier 77 has just that kind of scrumptious shrimp. But we had to be in Corpus for the day and thought we'd eat at Waterstreet since I was in the mood for fried shrimp. Oh my gosh! The shrimp on my plate were rubbery, tasteless and flat. That's right, they were FLAT, looking like they'd been stepped on and smushed flat. I've lived on the coast all my life so am no stranger to what fried shrimp SHOULD be. Big butterflied, lightly battered and fried quickly so they're almost fluffy and should have a delicious flavor. These tasted like I would imagine cardboard would taste. No flavor whatsoever, difficult to cut through, just awful. My husband ordered the shrimp po-boy. His shrimp were fresh breaded, tender and tasty. The vegetable of the day was chopped squash with onion and corn mixed in. That would have been very good, but for the fact that the plate came with a thin parchment-type paper under the food where it had absorbed the grease and veggie liquid. I soon realized that some of the paper had become soggy and mixed in with the vegetables. That was a shame, as I enjoyed the veggies...they were good, but then inedible. They do still offer the same delicious tartar sauce so that's a good thing. If you want good fried shrimp, this is no longer the place to get them. I'm very disappointed in Waterstreet. I asked the waitress to send over the manager. She did and I told him the shrimp were either pre-breaded and frozen or they had been fried earlier then dropped back in the grease to heat them up. Either way, it wasn't good. He tried to tell me they would never reheat them like that and their shrimp are always fresh. I told him he was wrong. He said he was going to the kitchen immediately and find out what was going on. Oh he found out...I think he already knew and was not being honest. He never showed his face again before we departed. Obviously this manager is not taking care of business. Just before we left, I happened to look up, there is mold growing really thick on the AC vents. Nasty...see picture. We were seated off the main 1st floor dining room near the parking lot. As we were leaving, my husband declared we won't be eating here any more. I agreed. What a shame. I've always loved eating there. Don't waste your time folks.

Yelp
The reason I'm giving them three stars is because the food itself was by and large anywhere from OK to solid and they did the right thing by taking care of my check. However, service was disastrous--if they hadn't done the right thing, the meal would have been a single star. I came around 5:40, slightly before the end of their happy hour. Accordingly, I ordered a pair of rolls (half price) and a margarita. While the drink arrived fairly quickly--as did some bread--I had to wait for the rolls. And wait some more. At one point the server thought it would be another 10 minutes. It wasn't. I think it was probably about 40-45 minutes from when I ordered them. The rolls themselves were fine. Not spectacular--I didn't get a ton of flavor--but fresh enough and decent. They were, not, however, worth waiting all that time for. Having waited that long, my appetite had waned a little--I was tired--but I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which I was told was not a heavy dish. The server told me this would be out faster. It wasn't, though a salad appeared at one point. And then I waited for the shimp. Somewhere in the middle of this--I think before the shrimp arrived--another service miscue: a manager (I believe) came by, picked up my mostly finished but not empty margarita, asking if I wanted another--the answer was no--and whisking it off before I even knew what hit me. He did not ask me if I was finished with it. I wasn't quite. By the time the shrimp arrived, I'd been at the restaurant for an hour and a half. I ate a little, but having had the margarita as well as plenty of water, the inevitable happened: I had to go to the bathroom. I was clearly not finished, but when I came back, the check was sitting at my place next to my less-than-half-eaten shrimp platter. You just don't do that, especially when you've already had a conversation with the guest about dessert. Seeing my dismay, a female manager who seemed to be the person most in charge and with whom I had interacted a bit earlier, came over and checked on me, at which point I explained everything that had happened. She offered to have them refire the shrimp dish--I thanked her for the offer, but I didn't want to waste food--and she also made it clear that dinner would be on them, which was the right thing to do. The server came over and apologized after--which I appreciated. I definitely don't believe she intended to push me out the door, and ultimately I finished most of the rest of the shrimp and had a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake (which was tasty for not being in my wheelhouse), and the manager assured me that she'd looked at my ticket times and would be addressing the various issues with staff. So...Water Street, if you're reading this: 1. I'm not sure if you were understaffed that night at the sushi bar or in the kitchen, but if that happens, I'd recommend being upfront with people about the potential wait. Having said that, if it takes 40 minutes to get two rolls out, something's wrong. Either there need to be more chefs or better chefs, or people need to be retrained. 2. Don't remove someone's drink or plate without asking unless they're absolutely empty. It only takes a few seconds to ask, "May I clear that for you?" or "Are you all finished with that?" and it prevents any kind of misunderstanding. 3. Standard protocol is to ask the guest if there's anything else you can get for them before you bring the check. You never just drop it on the table, especially if the guest may not even be finished their main course. In any case, I hope the restaurant gets things sorted out. I will likely be back in Corpus next year for the same conference, and I'd be happy to pay for a meal that makes me happy. Whether I would risk it here, we'll see...

Yelp
"Great food, but disappointed with the limited oyster selection--all Texas-grown. Ordering experience needs improvement, and don't bother asking for tartar sauce, they were all out! " Keylime pie was amazing

Yelp
Popular spot serving up some delicious seafood with excellent service. Grilled oysters were So GOOD, and I regretted not ordering another dozen. Fried shrimp basket was OK. It was tasty but not something I needed to order again. Make sure you check their special board. I was here around Mardi Gras time and received a complimentary slice of King Cake. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant, but it fills up quickly. Overall, it's a great choice for lunch.

Yelp
For the first time, I got the wood grilled oysters! They were good but not the best. Water Street is a go to for seafood. It is fresh and delicious. The service was nothing to brag about. I do love the ambiance.

Yelp
Stopped in for late light lunch on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. Great design in the interior. It's a very cool venue. Kaitlyn, our server, was terrific. Excellent Old Fashioned if you're a cocktail fan. The fresh Gulf oysters were good. They're served with 3 very different sauces. Save some of the lemon shallot dressing for dipping calamari and other things. The nuclear horseradish is excellent! Get a side salad with walnut dressing - very flavorful. The lettuce was cut too large, though, and was hard to eat, but tasty. Don't miss the surprisingly good smoked Gouda Mac and cheese- it's not overwhelmingly smoky like some and the shells are perfectly cooked and not too soft. They also make excellent fries. The shrimp cocktail was tasty and the shrimp fresh, but they were too soft - overcooked? The shrimp po'boy was good but not as crispy as it could be and again, the shrimp were quite soft. The tasty calamari came with welcome sweet potato fries and fried jalapeno rings. Spiced batter, crispy not greasy, no fishy taste. Nice spot-recommended.

Yelp
Fresh fish in downtown Corpus. It was a hot one, so the icy cold AC was nice! They had a great local beer list, which I dove into. Lots of great space with a friendly staff. Don't forget to walk around the building and take a look at the local celebrity walk of fame.
