Great place. Visited yesterday afternoon, only had a couple of drinks so can't comment on the food but it did look good. Owner was great and so was his wife. Was quiet at the time but can tell it would have a good vibe when busy.

Excellent place. We cycle to Abbey mills and always end up eating here. Great staff. Portions have got smaller recently. There is a chicken toastie that they have on the menu but never have it. Shame

Quaint café/grill in old windmill building and nice exterior covered extension. Excellent service, and very reasonably priced food! I had the half a vegetarian breakfast and nicely done toasts! Was filling and nice! Tea was seriously spot on. Nicely brewed and smooth! One of the best teas I have tasted! By that I mean, I could taste the tea's natural quality without having the urge to add a little sugar. I also got 2 and a half cups from the tea pot! Ambience nice and cosy. If you want to feel like you're at a day theme park, just step into the extension at the front of the café/grill. Overall nice food at a very reasonable price near a windmill. You don't need to go to Holland now!

First impressions I like this venue You order food at the bar, and pay before you eat and drink one's Meal is brought to your table. Quick service under 5 minutes Attentive staff No sooner have I eaten than my. empty plates are whisked away SOMETHING I HATE. All the more so, once I had finished my drink the empty glass was whisked away within seconds of it touching the table as if they wanted you out If it was not by chance that I Came here on a Saturday when a brass band was playing under the squares bandstand which added to the ambience I would have given this place Two stars Will be back to try out their Sunday carvery next time to see if it fairs better to other venues I frequent. Post scrip, Sunday Buffet disappointing

Arrived to what looks like a junk storage yard then found it was a cafe. Ordered food and was told card machine “broken” and i need pay cash. I said i had none so was told try sainsbury over road. It was early sunday so due to stupid english law was all locked up. Next cash point miles away. After 20-30 walk got some cash and the lady said ok now you pay we cook the food. My wife and child sat there in freezing cold waiting and was not even allowed a drink until i came back with money. Total jokers. After all that food was not even that good.

Lovely coffee thank you! I wish I’d come for a meal having seen everything being prepped from scratch. Next time!

I attended a wedding at The Watermill in September. The venue was warm and inviting and we had a wonderful night of drinking, dancing and catching up with old friends. The staff were friendly and the buffet we had was delicious and plentiful. I’d definitely go again and I’d love to be there and see if it’s as wonderful when they aren’t hosting a wedding.

Yelp
The food was fantastic and tasty as well as piping hot. Friendly service as well. I wanted to eat out in the Merton abbey mills local area but did not want KFC or Pizza Hut so I was glad I decided to walk round to abbey mills & found this gem of a place. I had the moussaka it was delicious. I will go again.

Yelp
Poor service rude staff would not go here again or recommend this place to anyone , a afternoon out with a group of young people with disabilities in wheel chairs , it was made clear by the staff's attitude we werent made welcome and didn't want us in there
