I’ve now had multiple bad experiences at this lounge, both with staff and management.
During one visit with coworkers, we sat down in a section near closing (only 20 minutes left). A bottle service staff member immediately asked if we were going to pay the bottle minimum. When my friend (who is Black) calmly explained the situation, the staff member (who is white) accused her of “yelling” when she absolutely wasn’t. This was a blatant microaggression, and she escalated things by calling security to remove us. Management did nothing to step in or resolve the situation.
On a separate occasion, I went to speak with the manager about a deposit refund after our group couldn’t fulfill a reservation (one of our team members didn’t have their ID, so we had to go elsewhere). Instead of handling the matter with professionalism, she came out literally shaking her protein shake in front of me while I was trying to have a serious conversation. It was odd, and not at all how a manager should carry themselves. She clearly needs more training and oversight.
Beyond that, the bartenders are extremely slow, the inside of the lounge is dirty, and I even saw roaches. Completely unacceptable conditions for a place trying to brand itself as an upscale rooftop experience.
Between the microaggressions, unprofessional management, slow service, and unsanitary environment, I would never recommend this lounge to anyone.
