Love Waystone. Every time we've been, we've had a great time. Just with the whole ambiance and service they knock it out of the park. The live music is always fun and they have a pretty packed events calendar too. The food has always been great but most recently the whipped feta was an absolute winner. Finally, the wines. Gah, so many great wines! There's also always something new. I love that even on a packed night, they will help recommend something you'll enjoy that you've never had. Also super plus, they are very dog friendly.

This was our second time at this wine bar! We came in on a Saturday night. I really like this wine bar! It’s so cute and vibey. I really like the lighting here as it set the atmosphere. The selection of wine was great too! We didn’t get to try the food but maybe we will next time. I also love how attentive the staff are- I appreciate how the staff would check in on us every now and then to see if we needed anything. This will def be a go to wine bar spot for us.

Well well well this is in fact the place to be on a Wednesday evening! The wine tasting is an 11/10 experience- shoutout Tom. Came here the other night and learned much about the various wines that were offered during the tasting but also got to enjoy a delicious meal. I highly recommend the fried chicken bites, the grilled cheese, the tomato watermelon salad, and the old bay french fries! Will definitely be coming back here soon.

One of the best wine bars in the city! Totally unpretentious, incredibly welcoming, and always a good time. The menu has a few changes regularly and there's ALWAYS a fantastic and varied wine selection. You can tell that every person who works here is passionate and loves what they do, one of the true gems of North Beach. Great spot for a romantic date in the evening, perfect place to chill with friends in the afternoon. Highly recommend the tastings - especially on Wednesdays! If you get a chance to take a class DO IT! You'll learn so much!

Tom is super knowledgeable on his selection of wine and totally has great taste in music! Tom in general is an awesome individual that has a great personality. The atmosphere and decor are nice and brings a nice levity to the neighborhood. If your looking for a nice wine and food spot, look no further, look for your waystone!

A true gem in the heart of the iconic North Beach area of San Francisco. Billy and Erin are amazingly talented and have turned this little place into a wine bar/ aka heavenly oasis. The ceiling is cloud-like art form unto itself as are the seemingly floating lanterns overhead. When Erin is at the bar, you feel like you have been welcomed into a friend's home. Its cosy. Do enjoy the eclectic food offered to nibble on or create a full on meal. The grilled cheese sandwich with asparagus for example, is not like anything you have ever experienced! Deeelicious! This bustling place is crowded to over flow most nights that one of the owners are there but there is a covered parklet outside if you need more space. I Local artists have set up showings monthly. We enjoyed a very talented artist recently who did mainly very intricate black and white drawings, checkout their Instagram ifillspace.com This is definitely a find not to be missed.

Super cozy wine bar in North Beach! Matt was so awesome and gave us amazing recommendations based off each of our individual preferences. He was so knowledgeable of all the wines - it truly made our experience so enjoyable. We also got the grilled cheese and it was the perfect pairing! Waystone has themed weekly events such as jazz nights and wine tasting Wednesdays! They're also starting up wine classes if you're interested in learning more about wines! Overall we had a great time, will definitely be adding Waystone to our rotation and be back for some of the events!!

One of the coziest wine bars I've been to. You know this is going to be a great place when everyone there seems to be a regular. The bartender was greeting people by their first name and giving great recommendations. My friend and I decided to share a bottle of white wine. As we were debating which bottle the bartender was super friendly in letting us taste both wines before committing. On Wednesdays, they also have a wine flight special where you can taste 6 wines for $40. The hummus was also fantastic with delicious bread. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Superb food. One of the best ones (and better than many restaurants). The spicy yogurt sauce is to die for. Their chicken fry is like none I have had before. So yummy. And their warm spinach dip - wohooo so yummy. Please come to this place. It's a gem. The ambience feels like you are among the city's people. Warm, friendly. And the staff is ultra super friendly. Waystone is a super cute neighborhood wine bar. I highly recommend going here for a little happy hour after work or to enjoy on the weekend with friends. The bartender name is very kind and helpful and educating you about which wine you'd like most. In addition to wine we also ordered the chicken bites and the spinach dip which were both delicious.

My partner and I visited Waystone for the first time this weekend and had such a wonderful time outside on the parklet with our pup! Despite being outside, we were still able to enjoy the live jazz being played inside. We each had a wine flight and shared an order of ribs. We really appreciated the education that came with the flights, very practical and non-pretentious - this really made the experience stand out to us. And the ribs...fall off the bone fantastic! I loved whatever spices were used as well, so flavorful! And the acid from the pickled red onions was just perfect. Overall, we can't wait to come back and can't believe it has taken us this long to find out about Waystone!

**This review is for using the space as a private event only.** Had a wonderful working with Tom, Erin, and Matt on making sure my party was a success. The Waystone space looks deceptively small from the outside but once you enter, you realize there is so much room for people to walk around and chat. I had a party for about 50 people and the space definitely allowed for a lot of movement and mingling. The hanging lanterns and artwork made everything feel very cozy and at home. We ordered a lot of food and I could describe every single item we ordered and how amazing it tasted but then this review would be an essay. My top 3 choices for that night would be the fries (I love when fries are seasoned--a win!), the ribs (they fell off the bone), and Waystone salad (so refreshing). They were also very accommodating and reasonable about dietary restrictions. Price was reasonable especially for a party of this size. Everyone who attended the party loved the space and the food and really enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend Waystone if you're looking for a place to host your next party or event.

I loved this wine bar. It's more of a neighborhood wine bar but I'd travel to come here again. The atmosphere is super cozy and there was a live jazz band (every Sunday and Monday). Wednesdays they hold a wine tasting flight of 6 tastings for $40. The space was small but so lively.Highly recommend the Riesling wine, with the sausage plate and spinach dip. Definitely will come back and hope I become a regular!

Obsessed with this new wine spot!!! Especially love it for the picnic tables out front. Could bring cards with a bottle outside. A large list of wines to choose from - we loved the Pinot noir rose (even orange ones). We got the humus plate & one of the salads with fried chicken. Delicious! Reminds me of a wine bar you'd find in the mission, going to be my new favorite spot.

Completely adorable hidden gem- tried a lovely orange wine here that was super crisp/fruity/refreshing, and some small bites (loved the fries and house made aioli)! The staff was also very attentive/friendly. It's small inside but fits enough people to make it cozy. Perfect for a little happy hour!

Oh Wine Not! I happened to find this gem based on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. Fantastic selection of wine from all over the world, and amazing tasting experience provided by the staff. Don't forget to eat something, solid food options. Such an amazing place! The ambiance is great and cozy. The service was so attentive and sweet despite being busy. We also enjoyed all the bites we got - chicken bites, artichoke dip, bread and butter and sausage! YUM

The bar also has a great selection of local and regional craft beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Its is a great addition to the North Beach scene. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat and drink.

EXCELLENT customer service, delicious wine tastings and AMAZING food choices! I loved the warm and friendly feel at this wine bar! I even bought a few bottles. WILL be going again!!

Waystone on Market was my go-to for work lunches and dinner before going to shows at the Golden Gate Theater. I usually got the ham or braised beef sandwich, with a glass of whatever Tommy recommended. Needless to say, when it closed I was devastated ... so when I noticed it opened just down the street from me, I was ecstatic! Tommy and Matt are incredibly knowledgeable about wine that I often don't order off the menu and let them educate me on some of the best bottles to sip on. The food here is a little different than the original Market menu, but it's still yum! I haven't tried all the new additions, but I don't doubt they're great. I usually go with popping some of the chicken bites while enjoying my wine(s) ;) If you're not in the mood for that loud sports bar vibe and instead want to opt for great wine poured by some of the sweetest people in SF (who have good taste in music!) do not snooze on Waystone! xoxo

This place is awesome. It has the homey-ness of a neighborhood dive, but has great wine and food. Bonus points because there's usually a dog running around :)

Such a lovely evening with generous proprietors and fantastic food and wine! We loved that they had live jazz music and Tom and team had fantastic recommendations on what to drink to pair with the food. Elegant service where we got to try sips of wine before committing and we left with several delightful bottles to go. Have already recommended it to several friends and family. Great eclectic and uniquely SF spot!

I went to Waystone for the first time last night and left very satisfied! Matt couldn't have been more hospitable and poured us delicious wine from California and France. The ambience is warm and cozy, perfect for a date or night out with your friends to indulge and be merry! You could go there with a large group too as there are large tables towards the back of the space.

I am a big fan of this place not only is the food delicious but staff is great as well! Every time I have gone they have been very welcoming and helpful in picking wines.

The BEST new addition to the neighborhood!! Amazing and unique wine selection that doesn't cost a million dollars a glass, alongside a thoughtful and delicious food menu that pairs perfectly. Matt is a wine-guru that teaches you about wine in such an unpretentious and simple way (love his maps!!) that's beyond anything I've learned from any winery. Tom is so friendly and puts together a killer playlist. Definitely check out Wine Wednesdays for intriguing flights. Love, love, LOVE this place!

I popped into Waystone shortly after they opened for a first date and really enjoyed the vibe. The owners are really friendly and welcoming, and the selection of wine and beer is solid. The snacks we had were good but our Brussels were a bit soggy. Will definitely be back to try again now that they've been open for a while!

Might be my new favorite place for wine in the hood! Tom and Matt were both so knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely enthusiastic about wine education. The food there is lovely as well. I hope these guys stand the test of time as they're my most favorite new addition to the area.

Waystone is incredible in every sense of the word. You can go have wine and food in many places throughout the city but you won't get the experience you have at Waystone. This is because the people who run Waystone care about the customer and make sure their experience is exceptional. On top on that the wine selection is superb and unique and the food is thoughtful and very flavorful. I've had many meals here and love it. These neighborhood spots are priceless and we need to support them. Get there soon and experience an excellent time.

This place is amazing! The wine selection is interesting, and even challenging if you want it. We also got the ploughman's board, which was a nice slight change from the usual charcuterie boards. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to become regulars here!

Google maps and the sign on the door show they're open Sunday 11-7. They were not open when we showed up at noon on Sunday. Incredibly disappointing.
