The Best Chinese Food in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"In a space sparkling with a 27-foot dragon made of 90,000 individual crystals, chef Jimmy Widjaja puts a spin on Chinese and other Asian flavors. The restaurant’s drunken noodles earned a feature on the Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate, while dim sum like shu mai, har gow, and steamed barbecue pork buns; a Cantonese barbecue plate with roasted duck, barbecued pork, and red spare ribs; and more make for a varied menu." - Janna Karel

Good food and convenient to the poker room. Came here after seeing the gigantic line at the buffet. Prob ended up with the same fullness as I would have at the buffet for ~$65 worth of food(buffet price) with fresher and better food, so it worked out. Would return.

Google
Food was delicious! Service was good. Their Mongolian beef was tender and tasty, even the kid enjoyed it. Cucumber salad was fine. Pad Thai was plenty to share and tasty as well. Wasn’t a fan of the salt and pepper prawn but that’s ok, to each their own. Will definitely return.

Google
This is an over rated place. Ordered panang curry but there were no veggies except onions. No seasonal veggies and no white rice as well. No rice was given with curry and when requested they said rice was an extra cost. Never heard of it while I had Thai cuisine for my entire life. When requested for well cooked chicken they gave deep fried chicken. Brussels sprouts were way too oily !!! There are many options in Vegas. But this one doesn’t deserve to be in Encore!!!! This reminds me of - Jack of all master of none !!!

Google
Every course here was delicious. From small samplings of nigiri to a full serving of panang curry. The flavors are true, the quality is high and the experience is great. Service can be a little slow but average for Vegas. The crispy orange beef is perfectly crispy with tons of flavor. The cocktails were unique and flavorful with tons of flair

My visit to Wazuzu was nothing short of extraordinary! The restaurant has a stunning atmosphere that perfectly blends modern elegance with a welcoming vibe. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. The attention to detail in both the food and presentation was truly impressive. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. They made me feel well taken care of without being intrusive. Wazuzu is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional culinary journey. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu. Thank you, Wazuzu, for an unforgettable evening!

After much high praise from a friend by the name of Eddy, who is a consistent patron of this establishment, I was finally able to attend dinner myself. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anybody in the Las Vegas area! As for drinks, I had the "Land of Smiles" cocktail. It was very enjoyable from the presentation alone to the refreshing, and fruity taste to a whiskey and bourbon drink. I tend to like my alcohol stronger, this drink was very delightful and not crazy sweet like these drinks tend to be. For Appetizer, I had the "Pan Fried Soup Dumplings" with pork, shrimp, and cabbage as recommended by the waiter. The outside of this soup dumpling was crispy on the edges and soft and tender on the inside. It was amazing! The black pepper broth was so flavorful as well as the pork inside. Highly recommend. For the main course I tried the "Drunken Noodles with Shrimp" and the Panang Curry. The noodles were wonderfully soft and tender with nice spice and juicy shrimp that complimented their sauce wonderfully. The Curry was itself absolutely amazing with a subtle spice and fresh greens to compliment and mix with chicken and curry sauce. The bread served with this dish has a very slight sweetness in the back of the flavor profile that wonderfully compliments the spice of the jalapenos and the faint sweetness of the coconut curry sauce. I wish rice came with it instead of needing to order it on the side but either way it is not a necessity, more of a personal preference. For dessert, the "Pineapple Vanilla Soft Serve". After seeing someone else with it, The presentation alone drew me to get it myself. On top of the soft serve sit small lime cookie squares that are amazing with this sorbet. Perfectly semi-sweet without being a dry inconvenience for an ice cream topping. In addition are refreshing pineapple chunks that fall apart in your mouth. Overall an incredibly high recommendation. As for service, the waiter himself was very helpful in helping us choose what to eat, as well as making sure our water was always filled and offered a refill on my drink all the time! Aesthetically, this restaurant both inside and out have an appealing flashy yet elegant Asian influenced decor and architecture. Definitely photo worthy!

Wazuzu at the Encore is easily one of the most exceptional dining spots in Las Vegas. I’ve been here many times, and it consistently delivers on every level—flavor, presentation, and service. The Wagyu Fried Rice is my personal go-to and an absolute standout. It’s not just delicious—it’s precision-crafted. Perfectly seared wagyu, layered over beautifully seasoned rice, plated with care and detail. The flavor is deep, savory, and unforgettable. On my most recent visit, I tried the Mandarin Mousse dessert (photo included), and it blew me away. It looked like a piece of edible art and tasted even better—bright, balanced, and expertly executed. Service is top-tier: friendly, knowledgeable, and on point without being overbearing. The ambiance is modern, refined, and anchored by the stunning crystal dragon that spans the dining room—an iconic backdrop to an elite experience. Whether you’re a Vegas local or just visiting, Wazuzu is a must. If you appreciate world-class food, stellar service, and bold flavors done right, this place will absolutely deliver.

Google
Har gow (shrimp dumpling) was good, but nothing special. Duck bao was nice but extremely sweet and was served cold, which was disappointing. I also had the drunken noodles with chicken on the strong recommendation of the waiter because he said it was not heavy and specifically not a gut bomb like the Pad Thai, so I said okay and asked for it with very little oil; but it still came greasy and was a total gut bomb. I ended up taking it “to go” so that I could rinse the oil off in my hotel room and eat something that was a little bit cleaner and less greasy🤢

Yelp
Wazuzu at Wynn: A Vibrant Late-Night Dining Experience After watching Awakening at the Wynn, we were famished and decided to stop by Wazuzu for a late dinner. With its vibrant décor of red, golds, and crystals, the ambiance was a visual feast. The highlight was the stunning crystal dragon, reminiscent of the one we saw at the Wynn in Macau--a real treat to dine under such a dazzling centerpiece. We were seated immediately, which was a big plus, especially after a show. The service was impeccable--our server was attentive, checked in consistently without hovering, and handled everything with professionalism. The cocktails were light and fun: we tried the Lucky Cat and Spirit Animal, while others opted for wines, all of which complemented the meal nicely. The food was solid, though not particularly standout overall. The edamame dumplings were surprisingly fresh, and the Brussels sprouts stole the show--unexpectedly delicious and packed with flavor. The ramen satisfied my craving, making this a great option for those looking for a comforting late-night bite without leaving the hotel. Wazuzu is a good choice for its convenient location, stunning setting, and reliable service. While the food didn't blow us away, the experience as a whole earns a solid 4 stars. We'd return, especially for the Brussels sprouts and the ambiance!

Yelp
a massive disappointment. The food was completely bland, everything from the beef and broccoli to the wonton soup and lo mein noodles lacked flavor and tasted like no effort was put into the preparation. It felt like they put 0 care into what they were serving. To make matters worse, the service was painfully slow, which only made the lackluster meal more frustrating. For a restaurant in a property as prestigious as Wynn, this was shockingly subpar. It's surprising they're still operating at all, there's no way this place meets the high standards the Wynn name is known for. Save your time and money, there are much better dining options in Vegas.

Yelp
Lunch on a whim brought us to Wazuzu. ATMOSPHERE: Located in Encore, the quaint eatery has a striking glass or crystal dragon perched on the back wall. Seating is very limited so wait times can be long. Views are of the casino. RESERVATIONS: Not sure if they're taken but we had about a 75 minute wait for lunch on NYE without a reservation. MENU: Sushi, Chinese/Thai/Japanese selections. Full bar including sake. FOOD: Black Truffle Egg Drop Soup Big enough for two to share. Delicately savory and fairly hearty bowl of scrambled-in egg, fresh truffles, bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms. Pan Fried Soup Dumplings (3 pcs.) Not as soupy as others we've had but still very good. Thicker wrapper, moist pork filling and a little soup inside that will squirt out if you're not careful. Beef & Broccoli Tender meat and firm broccoli finished in a dark, savory and garlicky sauce. Tasty, traditional recipe. Salt and Pepper Prawns Ingredient simplicity makes this dish shine. Fairly crisp batter and perfectly seasoned. Cantonese Chicken Lo Mein Big portion good enough for four to share. Flavoring was mainstream and chicken chunks were moist. Pricey for a noodle dish. SERVICE: Host service was efficient. Texting system worked well and they even phoned when the table was ready. Waitstaff were professional. Food delivery took a while. OVERALL: Intimate selection of popular Chinese dishes. If you want the real deal authentic stuff, look outside of The Strip.

Yelp
This restaurant doesn't do reservations, they have a text message system of telling you when your table is ready. It is also the closest restaurant to the poker rooms, so it can get busy. Went for a late dinner, so there was no wait. Service was good. As with pretty much any casino restaurant, the prices are much higher for items you can get in Chinatown or any other good local restaurant. The trade off is the convenience and maybe the quality and presentation. We split a bowl of tonkstsu ramen. Then some nigiri and hand roll sushi. The nigiri was tasty bigger portions of fish than at typical AYCE places. The premium hand rolls were excellent. We even decided to have chocolate bar for dessert. A good meal for sure... we always choose Wazuzu when we're at Encore or Wynn.

Yelp
The restaurant is located just off the casino floor at the Encore. They use a SMS text system to message you when your table is ready. Having dinner here with the wife. Service is very good here from the hostess to the waiters and busboys. They are very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. The decor had a nice modern Asian fusion vibe. Food was very good. We had the Cantonese Sea Bass, Thai Basil Beef Stir Fry and the Choy sum vegetables. The sea bass was steamed and had a very nice buttery flavor. We ordered the Thai Basil Beef Str Fry to be medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Flavor was good but it had no spice. Lastly the Choy Sum vegetables were stir fried lightly with a nice garlic oil and were nicely crunchy. Overall a solid four star dinner!

Yelp
Food: * Salmon sushi: absolutely yummy! We couldn't have eaten this up faster. Paired with the ginger slices and homemade soy sauce, absolutely divine! * Pork Belly: my husband got this dish and OH MY GOD! It is absolutely delicious!!! it doesn't look like a lot of food but it's enough, especially if you get an appetizer. I'm not a pork person but even I have to admit this was so yummy! * Panang Curry: I got the chicken addition. I love curry so I'm going to be biased when I say it was so good! This one was different because the curry I've had in the past has eggplant only but this had bamboo sticks, bell peppers, onions. It was beyond delicious. * Lychee Drink: I don't drink so I appreciate when places have mocktails. This was really yummy. Service: Our waiter was really nice! He was attentive and very kind. He made sure our things came out expeditiously but maintaining quality. Ambiance: we went around dinner time and it was not too crowded (we were in Vegas around beginning of Dec). It was nice and chill atmosphere.

Yelp
I come to eat here EVERY SINGLE TIME I stay in the Wynn or Encore. I consider it my treat. Honestly as in this casino in general you may see a star or too just have to look around. That being said -- it is a chinese restaurant and I adore it. Likely because I adore the service here... Winnie is my absolutely favorite servers but a lot are good. A LOT of the dishes have fish sauce. Just be aware. Even the soy sauce is house made with fish sauce. The soup dumplings were amazing. Bite into them with the flavor that spills and almost pops out... so good! The Crispy Orange Beef is awesome. I keep trying other things and end up always coming back to this crisp but tender amazingly seasoned beef in an orange sauce. I just cannot get enough of it. I don't get it with rice but I could see how others would like it. Drunken Noodles are okay. Definitely had to add extra spice. Pretty average so I will keep to my Thai places back home for this one. The raspberry lychee sorbet is out of this world. Winny is a great server like super fantastic. Lorena is a great server super fantastic as well... very helpful. Definitely give this place a shot. Very clean. Very appropriate and you can still watch the casino activity while you eat!

Yelp
We came here right when they opened and were sat quickly. The servers were all amazing and the service was impeccable. It is a beautifully designed restaurant feature and exquisite crystal dragon. It is a casual yet upscale feel. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing was short of spectacular! I will 100% be returning

Yelp
Andrew is an outstanding server at Wazuzu, and I highly recommend requesting a table in his section for an exceptional dining experience. As for the food, the drunken noodles are my personal favorite. We also tried the edamame with garlic and mild spicy seasoning, and they were excellent. Your guests, David &Linda

Yelp
While passing by this restaurant a few times during our stay at the Wynn my husband and I decided to have lunch after a wonderful spa treatment. We walked in and were told to wait 30 mins which we didn't mind. The hostess was friendly so was everyone else we had a contact with. The ambiance here is great. Beautiful restaurant serving delicious food. We ordered a curry chicken dish and drunken noodles. Both flavorful and delicious. Our cocktails were also very delicious and beautiful lol. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here earlier today. Thank you Wazuzu for the great service and food.

Yelp
Very good Chinese food and sushi. Had the California roll with eel sauce and the spicy mayo I requested was the best I've ever had. Also enjoyed the chicken lo mein and shrimp fried rice. Also extremely tasty.

Yelp
Uhmmmm... Themey fun. Food and drink were terrible... ... It's like, really? Drunken Noodle with Shrimp - heard it's popular? Noodle selection is not authentic, Chinese noodle for Thai dish, on the dry side overall but the egg was saucy. Very meh. Truffle Egg Drop Soup - tasted so weird, doesn't make sense at all. Pan Fried Soup Dumpling - it was okay, concept is nice, but barely any soup, the the meat filling was very dense. Ordered a Whiskey Ube cocktail, it tasted disgusting, and the color is blue. It was served with blue colored sugar, seriously?

Yelp
Absolutely love Wazuzu and always make sure to come here when I visit Wynn. Being Celiac, they definitely cater to all allergies and food restrictions and the food tastes delicious! I'm able to enjoy sweet and sour chicken, pad Thai, Mongolian beef, and more, ALL GF! Service is always exceptional and food always high quality. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Beautiful dishes but EXPENSIVE (not a surprise though considering it's a Vegas hotel restaurant). I got the Azure Dragon Espresso Martini which is their twist on an espresso martini and includes coconut pandan shochu, kahlua, and black sesame. It was gorgeous and delicious! Also got the cucumber salad to start and the salmon tiradito as well as soup dumplings. The salmon was fresh and delicious but the chili strings were not my favorite - they were hard to eat and honestly the texture felt like they weren't supposed to be eaten almost like straw. Cucumber salad was good but I mean... pretty basic for a $12 cucumber salad lol. Soup dumplings were good but again nothing special and very expensive. Overall a yummy meal but if you have the option to go off strip I'm sure you can find very similar dishes for half the price! If you're stuck inside the Wynn and on vacation mode not caring about your budget.... Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
Long waitlist and food didn't disappoint 4.5/5. High end ambiance and service matching the Wynn hotels strive for excellence 5/5.

Yelp
My guy recommended Wazuzu for dinner since our picky toddler is pretty keen on Asian cuisine. More so than not, these type of options tend to be more manageable for her food palate. As an added bonus, Wazuzu offers fusioned foods, specializing in Chinese, Japanese, & Thai- PERFECTION!! Placing an order for takeout was super simple. I clicked on the website link found on the restaurant's Yelp page and it immediately took me to the order site. I liked how easy navigated through the menu was and appreciated the ingredient details provided. Dinner for the night consisted of: * JADE DUMPLINGS [$13] - dumplings filled with spinach & shiitake mushrooms * MISO SOUP [$14]- miso broth w/ seaweed, shimeji mushrooms, tofu, & scallions * BBQ PORK CANTONESE STYLE FRIED RICE [$27] * YUZU LEMONADE [$9]- sparkling lemonade w/ yuzu citrus The Good: Jade dumplings were amazing, bonus points because this dish is vegan. The filling details only list spinach and shiitake mushrooms but o am pretty certain that the light bursts of crunch that I randomly got was from bits of water chestnuts. Flavors are delicious and seasoned well- chili and soy sauce aren't even necessary. Miso soup was skimpy in its portion but the tofu chunks, mushrooms, and seaweed was generous. The broth was light, clean, and not overly salty as you may typically come across. Two thumbs up from both my toddler and myself. The Bad: Let me be clear, the Yuzu lemonade wasn't bad bad, it jsut wasn't good. Two flavor profiles that stood out was this lingering bitter taste that you get after you take each sip and a predominantly floral taste. Again, not bad but not good. I was totally missing where the lemon/yuzu flavors were. Biggest disappointment of the night was the bbq pork fried rice!! Like most people, I am no stranger to this dish and it should speak volumes when I emphasize how terrible it was. I have never seen fried rice so white or taste so bland. The plate upon delivery was sad regarding its portion size and it's unappealing sight. Besides the bits of pork being fairly tender, everything else was dry and flavorless. Thank goodness soy sauce packets were provided. 2 stars. I get that Vegas is going to overcharge for every darn thing but if the portions are shady and the flavoring isn't even there.... was the cost really justified?? On a positive note, the dim sum options look really really good!! I'd probably come back strictly to try more of these items.

Yelp
I've been regularly ordering from this place since I use my poker room comp for their food. I probably tried most of what they offer on their main menu and none of them failed me yet. Quality of ingredients they use are superior (I mean they represent the high price tag) and are always consistent. My favorites so far are drunken noodles with shrimp, pad thai, and all of their fried rice. You will never go wrong with any of them. I highly recommend any menu that consists of shrimp as their shrimp is possibly the best I've tried in Vegas. I also tried their wagyu fried rice but I honestly didn't think it was authentic wagyu, but the meat was tender and juicy regardless. Unfortunately, I've never dined in the restaurant so I can't say anything about the vibe or service but their food is really good.
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
Great restaurant located in the Encore Tower that is in their casino. It isn't too long of a line usually and the service is pretty fast. Although I enjoy lots of the fine dining upscale venues at the Wynn / Encore, this restaurant is perfect for those that don't feel like dressing up or don't want to spend 2+ hours eating. The one improvement I wish they could make is taking reservations as that could help get people seated faster. However their check in area usually goes by quickly. They have an extensive menu with the food always coming out fresh and tasty. I have been a few times with family and we have all enjoyed our meals.
google avatar

Liana R.

Yelp
Stumbled across this as the 1964 pop-up was closed for a private event tonight and was NOT disappointed! Relatively inexpensive given the rest of the restaurants in the area...service was stellar (see Guillermo) and they gave me extra chiles since I'm a 10 * kinda gal! They have a ton of options that are veggie/vegan friendly.
google avatar

Subhashish D.

Yelp
While the service, quality of cutlery etc. is top quality, the food leaves much to be desired. I ordered Thai Basil Stir fry but apparently you have to buy rice as extra. The quality of the dish was similar if not worse than the ones run by mom-and-pop restaurants or some common name Thai restaurants but certainly not top quality. I also ordered the Drunken noodles and it seemed too dry. To be eating inside Wynn, it's a more affordable choice but of average quality.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my all time favs! A tasty spot on the strip, business casual dress- Vegas style. This was our goto spot for many years pre covid, then of course things change. Living in Vegas it's easy to find fabulous food in every quadrant and get caught up in the hunt.. This year after a show @Wynn we decided to have an old fav- Wazuzu! Much to my surprise our OG server was still there and recognized us, as we did her! #lovethis Always fresh ingredients, layered in fabulous flavors with the ability to flex menu choices to specific food allergies. Tasty drink menu- my choice today: Espresso Martini-delish! Wazuzu, oh how I missed you! I'll be back soon.

Kay Y.

Yelp
No quality food vs high price I ordered Vietnamese Pho from the menu @$39.00 Came up small bowl noodle with Big bare beef bone stick in the noodles No meat on the bone I counted it only 6 pieces thin sliced beef under the noodles Then the worst was the soup tasted like during salty water cannot even swallow Called the waiter he only said he would bringing a bowl of clear soup for me to add in......no offer for replaced.... It was my nightmare dinner Never go there......
google avatar

Adam D.

Yelp
This is a delicious option at the Encore and probably the most affordable restaurant between the Encore and the Wynn, which are connected. It's certainly far more affordable than the other Asian options at the Wynn, Mizumi and Wing Lei. Wazuzu labels itself as a pan-Asian eatery is inspired by Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. We opted for mostly Japanese options, ordering a few rolls just to hold ourselves over before a heavier dinner within a few hours. Everything tasted fresh and not filling. Casual ambiance. Overlooking the casino floor, not much privacy is offered, but this made for a great late lunch spot. A fair amount of sake options. The service was friendly, helpful and prompt.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
We had wonderful food here. We ordered the kalbi and the shrimp fried rice and both were phenomenal. I took a star off because of the long wait, and it was very expensive (~$50 for 10ish small kalbi pieces) for a place that seems on the more casual side. The restaurant is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it's open to the casino and just doesn't feel like nicer dining to me.

Casey P.

Yelp
I have stayed at encore 3 nights and we had really bad experience with the manager on Wednesday afternoon December 25. She was very rude and disrespectful with us and others. Go to red 8 at Wynn. Very nice people
google avatar

Christopher P.

Yelp
Flew into Vegas and stopped here before a show. We had skipped lunch so we were both starving - hence the partially consumed photos. The food was very good - we started with the Roti and had two mains and a cocktail each. Roti served with Panang Curry - 5 stars for flavor but not enough Roti to soak up the curry so get a side of steamed rice. Crispy Orange Beef - very crispy and flavor was spot on 5/5. Very large portion - if we weren't so hungry we could have skipped the second main. Cantonese Noodles with Chicken. 5 stars for the noodles but the chicken wasn't very flavorful. For cocktails we ordered the Gold Leaf and the Spirit Animal. The Gold Leaf had a little bit of a kick due to the five spice. The Spirit Animal had little cucumber pearls - a nice touch. They were both good - maybe 4 stars but at $20 expectations weren't quite met. Overall the food was very good, and while overpriced , it wasn't crazily so and you are in Wynn/Encore so that comes with the territory,

Yelp
Stopped in here for a solo lunch after a morning of shopping. The dining room is rather small with a view of the gambling floor, but the decor is tasteful and elegant so it has a warm and inviting feel. The menu has a great variety of Asian-inspired cuisine. The hostess sat me promptly and the waiter was very professional and attentive. A huge plus: he immediately asked if i had any dietary allergies or restrictions. For lunch I order the Jade Dumplings, the Hamachi Chili Sashimi and an Asahi beer. The dumplings were plump and perfectly steamed, very savory. The Sashimi was good, although it seemed to lack any "oomph" as far as flavor goes, i probably would skip it next time. This is a classy restaurant with the prices to match. If you're on a budget you may want to skip it. But I loved all of it and I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely a 5 star restaurant. We were a little hesitant as it was late when we got there and every where else there were no reservations and we were seated right away. The service and food was amazing! I can't wait to go back and highly recommend going there.
google avatar

Krystal T.

Yelp
I highly recommend this restaurant! Honestly I enjoy almost all the restaurants at the Wynn. The service was great and the food was delicious! The only thing was the Wagyu beef was a little over cooked making it a bit tough, but other than that, I really enjoyed everything else!
google avatar

Tommy K.

Yelp
This cuisine was very delicious food for dinner. The unagi sushi was delicious, drunken noodles was extremely tasty, rock shrimp tempura was very good and salmon usuzukuri was very good and tasty.

Yelp
I went here with my family on March 30, 2024. I am a retuning customer. We checked in as they don't accept reservations. In about 45 minutes we were seated in their dining room which overlooks the casino. The waiter was attentive and quick. We ordered the rock shrimp tempura and orange chicken. I have to say this is the best shrimp combination I have ever tasted. The orange chicken was superb as well. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a crystal dragon on the back wall which is great for photos. My wife ordered The Spirit Animal cocktail and said it was amazing. This is our fourth visit to Wazuzu and we will return on our next visit to Las Vegas.
google avatar

Olga G.

Yelp
Wazuzu is a small but elegant sushi and fusion restaurant inside of Encore Casino in Las Vegas. The service is attentive but not overbearing. The decor is classy but not "luxury". I sat down after a 6-hour flight to get a light lunch. It was a very pleasant experience overall. I had an eel avocado roll and spicy sashimi. The prices are LV prices for sure but a great option.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Ordered 2 items off the menu for pickup 1: Crystal Dragon Roll $35 2: Baked King Crab Hand Roll $24 so with tip and tax the entire order came to $78. I brought the food up to my room and when I opened the container I was hit with a fishy odor! I couldn't even try the king crab roll because it smelt off. The crystal dragon was just "ok" and that had a fishy smell too and the tempura shrimp tasted like they had been fried the day before but at that point my mother and I were so hungry we still ate a couple pieces each. I'm sure this place had good items on the menu I just didn't pick them that day. What a waste of $$ and had to throw away almost everything.

Yelp
Wazuzu is always the place I would frequently revisit when ever I'm in Vegas. I haven't been to Vegas in 2 years and it seems like the quality of this place has gone down. I'm not sure if they changed the management or chef but the menu and the flavor of their dishes were not the same as before. First of all, the prices has gone up tremendously. I'm fine with increase in prices but the quality and portion has to remain the same for it to worth its value. One of my favorite dishes Nasi Goreng fried rice is completely gone. They no longer serve this dish. Ok, it is what it is. We ordered the spicy tuna on crispy rice and lobster tempera roll from their sushi menu. We also got the Pad Thai and our usual starter Roti Panang curry. Spicy tuna on crispy rice: One of the worst spicy tuna I've tried. It was not at all what I expected. The ahi was sauceless topped with a tiny amount of truffle that was unnecessary to this dish except to increase its price. The truffle creates no aesthetic nor flavor to this dish. The "spicy" tuna was not at all spicy. Their yuzu sauce does not fit well and the dry ahi on top of the crispy rice creates no balance. With only 4 pieces, this was not worth it. Lobster tempura roll: Another poorly made sushi roll. The tempura was very soggy. The lobster didn't taste like lobster. I think they replaced the lobster with shrimp instead. The gold flakes on top of the roll was again, very unnecessary. I really do not like gold flakes. Pad Thai Kon Kaen: We ordered this with shrimp. There were 4 pieces of shrimp on the Pad Thai. They were jumbo size and good. The Pad Thai was not bad. It was on the sweeter side but the flavor was there. Roti Panang: Our go-to starter. I mentioned on my previous review that this was the best curry we have tried. Unfortunately, this curry now lost its depth of flavor and it tasted watered down. The chicken in the curry was very dry. The roti was still delicious. We found out that Wazuzu now accept take out orders via online through the Wynn website. On our last night, we decided to try their Panang curry entree dish with shrimp and a side of rice. I placed the order at 5:30pm and the time it will be ready was estimated at 7:00pm. Ok, that's fine. Their ordering system also informed me that they will text or email me when my order was ready. I went to the restaurant at 6:00pm to check if my order was ready. Guess what, it was ready for some time and I did not received a text nor email that it was ready. By the time I went back to my room (I was staying at Wynn), the curry was no longer warm. If I've waited until 7:00pm, I'm pretty sure my curry will be cold from sitting out for too long. The Panang curry has their usual 4 jumbo shrimp but they were not deveined. The picture I provided has one of the shrimp with an obvious poop line on it. For a restaurant that likes to put truffle and gold on top of their dishes, I would expect them to at least clean their shrimps. The curry flavor itself was better than the starter dish I ate earlier during the week. Overall, this place has gone downhill in quality for both their foods and service. During our first night, we were informed the wait time to be seated was for 60 minutes. We were seated in 15 minutes. Our server, when we're were dining in, was ignoring our table. We had to flagged him down to refill our waters or when we wanted to order more. We also noticed he prioritized the larger tables over ours. Another time, when I was waiting for my takeout order, I heard the hostess informed a party of 2 that the wait time was for 90 minutes and a party of 5 was for 3 hours. The party of 2 was seated in 15 minutes. I am not sure why they do not give accurate wait times. They turned away and lost many customers this way. Their foods are still considered "elevated Asian fusion cuisine" even though they are listed as casual dining on the Wynn website. The flavors of their dishes are not as they were used to and the price increased did not match for what their dishes were worth.

Yelp
Located in the Encore resort, Wazuzu serves a variety of Pan-Asian dishes that combines Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. From appetizers to main entrees, the variety Wazuzu offers is sure to satisfy everyone's palate. We stopped by here during our last day of the SHRM conference for lunch, just before we hit the highway back home to Cali. Pretty familiar with all the dishes on the menu but also allowed my colleagues to select items that they've never tried before. We started off with Pork Pot Stickers, filled with pork and cabbage, that were plump, yet crispy as an appetizer. We ordered a la carte and dined family style to allow for sharing. When dining in an Asian restaurant, I always believe that one should have a dish of several proteins, either a soup or stew, noodles and rice. Therefore, we so happen to select the Wazuzu Pineapple Fried Rice. Also chose a few Wazuzu specialties from the menu such as the Wok Tossed Mongolian Beef and Panang Curry with Chicken. Lastly, the Cantonese Lo Mein as a noodle dish. Between myself and my 3 colleagues, our selection provided enough servings for lunch. The food was well seasoned, neither salty or bland in my opinion. Wazuzu also provides lots of options for vegans or vegetarians. The restaurant was classy and grand as evident by the crustal dragon that spans one side of the wall. The black and contrasting red decor really elevated the ambiance of the restaurant. Our server was an older Chinese man who was attentive and kept making sure our water glasses were filled. Looking forward to another stay at the Wynn/Encore resort in the near future. I would love to try a few of the sushi and hand rolls with a group or when flying solo.

Yelp
This was a last minute dinner pivot since we were short on time before departing for the airport. We were seated around 4pm with no wait. Our server was friendly, helpful with suggestions, and very attentive. She coursed out our meal perfectly. My husband and I started with the shumai dumpling. They were piping hot! Flavor was really nice. They came with a chili garlic sauce which slightly overpowered the dumplings but was still really good. For my main I went with the infamous drunken noodles (with chicken). The portion size was huge and clearly for sharing. Oops! The noodles did not disappoint. They had so much flavor! The noodles were tender and perfectly cooked. I asked for mine with a spice level of 3/5 and they were perfectly spicy for me! These might be the best drunken noodles I've ever had. I would come back!

Yelp
Typically, I love this place. Their food and service is mostly always impeccable. But i was disappointed today. The table, plates and all the glassware smelled like rags, you know that dirty cloth smell when something isnt washed or dried well. We got one plate replaced but gave up when we realized everything on the table smelled. We ordered the Jade dumplings (which are always amazing. Even today) and the chicken karaage as we came in for a late lunch / snack. I never had that here before and it was moist, crunchy and well seasoned. The shishito peppers accompanied were my personal favorite. I wish they had sides of just the peppers. And I had ordered a drink but it didn't arrive even after our meal and no one came to ask how our meal was, top off our water, anything so I just told them I wanted to cancel the soda and they took off the charge, no fuss at all. Overall, I enjoyed the food but was disappointed at their lack of attentiveness and the cleanliness of their servewear today. I will always come back for the Jade dumplings but I think this experience has given me a reason to maybe consider a different restaurant when at the WYnn/Encore establishment.

Yelp
Food:delicious but salty. Service: fast, and food. Ambiance: casual and comfortable, and fun! We usually dine here as soon as we check-in. But, we probably won't be order these pineapple fried rice and sizzling beef.

Yelp
I didn't catch the name of the manager today but he had glasses and dressed sharply. He impressed me because he remembered my name, checked on me many times and was so warm and welcoming. Michael was my server and like the manager, couldn't be more kind and patient. He answered questions and made excellent recommendations. Food quality was excellent, as it always is. Despite the fact that the place was fully packed with a long waiting list such that they had to turn people away, it didn't feel like that which is what makes all the difference and stands out. Everyone loved the food. Please see attached receipt for our choices. I think people make the difference. Thanks Michael and Mr. Manager for a great night.

Yelp
Wazuzu is conveniently located in the Wynn hotel- specifically the Encore resort, just off the gaming floor. We arrived without reservations on a recent Wednesday night and were advised the wait would be 25 minutes. No problem, we walked around, played a few slots and the time flew by! DRINKS we ordered the Spirit Animal and the Gold leaf( this one has a spicy finish). Both were delicious but expensive. APPETIZERS Penang chicken curry roti. The sauce was AMAZING!! MAINS crispy orange beef- my husband ordered and liked. Cantonese noodles with Chicken, onion, peppers. The chicken in this dish was just okay- but the noodles were delish!!! I would recommend Wazuzu next time you're in Vegas

Yelp
No reservations accepted!? Star taken off. Wait time one hour. Service - good, food - quality. Drunken noodles, crispy orange beef, and panang all very tasty dishes. Lychee martini refreshing. Nice touch to encourage hand washing before the meal.

Yelp
Excellent service. Ambiance could have been a bit better if the restaurant views weren't open to the casino floor. Lighted dragon is awesome though. Wagyu fried rice is a must have. California rolls were awesome. Panang and roti was disappointing.

Yelp
If you're a poker player, do yourself a favor and walk 25 feet to order takeout from the full menu. The poker menu is limited. 10/10

Yelp
A higher priced Asian (Chinese/Japanese) restaurant in the Wynn, serving well-prepared classic dishes in a high-end setting. The three of us came on a Thursday right when it opened at 11am without a reservation. All the servers and hosts were super helpful, keeping our water full and clearing the table when appropriate. The meal started with a magic handcloth (basically a compressed hand towel that you pour hot water on to hydrate and use at the table). It was our last meal before we left the Wynn, so ordered enough food to spend the rest of the hotel credit that my brother was given for his stay. The quantity of the food was on the smaller side for typical Chinese cuisine...each person could have easily finished their own dish and still have room for dessert or pre-meal appetizers. And in much of the cases, the food at the Wynn buffet was just as tasty or even tastier. Do love all the 8's in the prices. -- Drunken noodles ($29.88) - This is the house speciality. I could be wrong, but I don't think the wheat noodles were hand-strung, but machine made....it was fresh though. It came with large pieces of shrimp and a nice coating of brown sauce that wasn't too greasy. -- Maki - Lucky dragon Roll ($33.88) - a normal size roll with 8 pieces. It had microgreens on top and presented really well, and tasted fine. -- Yellow Fin Tuna HandRoll ($18) - very well presented, pretty to look at it. Almost a shame to eat it. Smaller than a typical hand roll. -- XO Lobster ($68.88) - Wok fired lobster, cut up into small pieces and batter coated. It tasted very good and had been expertly prepared. The XO sauce was good. The lobster head and tail were presented and were on the smaller side (probably no bigger than 1.5 lb lobster, probably closer to 1 lb). It was served in a beautiful 'bird's nest' made out of rice noodles. -- Panang Curry ($26.88) - chicken in yellow thai curry, coming with some roti. We ended up ordering some white rice, which went well with it. -- Mongolian Beef ($27.88) - wok fired, which reminded me of how they do it at PF Chang, but not as good. The beef should have been almost crispy because of overcooking in a wok...this version's beef reminded me more of the beef in a beef and brocoli. -- 3 scoops of lycee sorbet ($10 a scoop) - very good and refreshing. -- We also ordered some beef and brocoli to go ($27.88). Relatively small portion (It seemed quite a bit smaller than the portion of mongolian beef we had eaten in-house), and the beef seemed the same as most other Chinese restaurants, which was disappointing considering the price paid. Did bring the lobster, mongolian beef, and beef/brocoli home. There is also a beautiful crystal dragon that is the center of the restaurant. The Wynn does everything in style.

Yelp
I can't believe I forgot to write a review as soon as I ate here, but I've barely written a Yelp review in like 4 months so here we are. I was at the Wynn for the Ali Wong show in what I think was April so we decided to stop at Wazuzu for some dinner and I'm sure glad we did. This is a place I've walked by dozens of times but it's always pretty busy so I just keep walking, luckily we were able to get a table in dee twenty minutes. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and decorated from floor to ceiling in amazing heart, lights, and such lovely colours. The staff here was super attentive and friendly during our stay and didn't miss a beat even with the place being completely packed. For dinner I absolutely needed to order the pineapple fried rice which was literally shrimp, beef, and chicken fried rice served in an actual pineapple. This dish was not only incredible to look at, but it had so much flavour that I ate the whole thing and almost ordered one to go (not really, but I live here so I'll just come back). Overall, Wazuzu is a top notch dining experience and one I would recommend to just about anyone visiting the Wynn. The food was spectacular, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was impeccable. I would absolutely return here in the future!

Yelp
Dinner in Las Vegas was at Wazuzu at the Encore casino (Wynn/Encore hotels). We've been near a few time and always had a nice meal. Wifey stuck to her favorite Mongolian beef with a side of brown rice. She loved it as always. I choose beef with broccoli and a side of brown rice. I must say it was pretty bland. The broccoli was delicious and had a nice crunch with each bite. I asked for hot sauce and spiced up my meal. 100% better. Sticking with my wife's choice next time, plus hot sauce cause I love it spicy. Very good service and the casino is right outside the dining room. We didn't have a reservation and was told there would be an hour wait. They would text us but suddenly an opening popped up because someone didn't show up when paged. We were in like that. So remember to stick close by and win money in the casino while waiting for that text.
