This is the closest ramen place I know in National City and their food is🔥🔥🔥!!! They don't just serve great ramen, they got all kinds of other awesome japanese grub. I tried these tofu karaage that Chef Dom made and doesn't taste like tofu and the inside texture is like meat and the seasoning is on point. But if you can eat meat, I definitely recommend their chicken karaage! 😋🤤 I'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for an impersonal and tough experience, look no further than Weapon Ramen at Market on 8th in National City! My wife and I decided to give it a try, and let's just say we were less than impressed. We ordered the Batchoy Ramen and the OG Ramen, hoping for a taste bud explosion, but instead, we got a workout for our teeth. The pork belly was so tough, we felt like we were chewing on a tire! And let's not forget the process of ordering - you basically have to shout at the lone cook in the back, who seems to be daydreaming of a better place. The iPad-like device for ordering was cool, but it felt like we were ordering from a vending machine. At the end of it all, we were left feeling unsatisfied and ignored. The only thing that got us excited was the text message telling us our order was ready, but sadly, the food didn't match up to the hype. Maybe Weapon Ramen should focus on improving their customer service and tenderizing their pork belly, instead of relying on technology to do the job.

The food was pretty good I wish it was just plain white rice though but it was still bomb. Service was just a self order kiosk the guy in the back seemed like he just wanted his shift to be done so was very enthusiastic.

Overpriced ube horchata that tasted like water but with purple food coloring. Ramen was okay, but I think it gave me food poisoning

UPDATE: Weapon Ramen has now become White Rice Panciteria. They resolved the issue from my old review by placing an automated kiosk outside their order window. You can now order yourself as long as you have a debit/credit card and a cell phone (for order updates). My wife and I ordered the sisig bowl - the presentation wasn’t a traditional sisig but the flavors were excellent! Excited to come back and try more. OLD REVIEW: I was at Market on 8th from about 6 to 7 PM on a Friday. During that entire time, there was no one available to take orders at Weapon Ramen. They were clearly open because the lights were on and a cook was busy in the back. The cook made eye contact with me several times but did not approach nor attempt to communicate. I gave up and ordered elsewhere. After me, I noticed three other groups walk up to order but they all ended up leaving like I did because they were not entertained.

This place is mediocre and the food is terrible. I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a more bland broth in my life. Limited selection on toppings, noodles were OK. Chicken Paitan tasted like it wasn’t cleaned properly .. Also this places gives you your food in to go containers no matter what, it’s a window / to go type place.

Located in a food court type setting. The plant based ramen was decent, not very hot or flavorful.

I think their food is decent but the primary problem I have is that they’re out of stuff a lot of times. It’s fine if it’s just a one time occasion but it does get annoying when that seems like the norm.
