Yelp
Tucked away gem with great food and vibes just needs more staff!
One day my husband and I were at Town Square looking for a place to eat, and we spotted Weera Thai, quietly tucked in a corner. From the outside it looked like a typical place, but we checked Yelp and saw 4.7 stars with 200+ reviews, so we said: Why not?
Right outside the entrance, there's a menu display with pictures, and I absolutely love that. It really helped us visualize what to order, and I wish more restaurants did this!
As soon as we walked in, we were honestly surprised, the interior is so pretty and luxurious, like a little boutique with colorful decor and thoughtful design touches. Definitely not what you'd expect from the outside.
It was a Monday night and still almost fully packed, which says a lot. We didn't have a reservation (you probably should), but luckily we were seated right away at the bar area. From there, we got to watch the cooks work the woks in the open kitchen, so cool to see.
We scanned the QR code and saw that the menu was beautifully organized like a bookshelf, separated into cocktails, happy hour, lunch, and dinner. Very user-friendly.
It was happy hour (Mon-Fri, 4-8PM), so I ordered the Tung Thon, crispy golden bags with shrimp and chicken, served with a creamy Thai sauce. Happy hour price was $9.95, BUT heads up: they accidentally charged me $13+, and only corrected it when I pointed it out. So double check your receipt!
We also ordered the Spicy Fried Rice Combination (shrimp, beef, and chicken). Portion was HUGE, definitely enough for 2 people. We couldn't even finish and had to take the rest to go.
Food was flavorful and well-prepared. Definitely worth trying more dishes on our next visit.
Only complaint? The service was slow. There were probably only 2 servers on the floor for the whole place. Our server was kind, but we had to wait a while for check-ins or follow-ups.
Pro tip: Come during happy hour and double-check your bill!
Can't wait to try more dishes next time.
