"This cozy niche at the end of Canton Street is the perfect spot to get your Cajun creole fix. Owners Mark and Ruth know how to do New Orleans cuisine right. Start your day with crawfish gravy biscuits or shrimp and grits, complimented by an endless pot of chicory coffee. Adele's motto is 'come hungry, leave happy'. Easy enough." - Nimble. Design Co.

"After partaking in an oyster or alligator tail po’boy or a hot bowl of crawfish etouffee from New Orleans native chef Marc Wegman during dinner, order a batch of fresh beignets to share with the table. Make sure to also order Wegman’s pralines paired with a cup of coffee or maybe a little bourbon." - Beth McKibben

Disclaimer. I'm from Baltimore, so my review of crabcakes is tougher than most. Honestly, felt like I was eating a salmon cake. It looks and tastes like a salmon cake. The 3 soup sampler was very nice, as was the Cajun coleslaw. Shrimp and grits was competitive with most. Comfortable and warm atmosphere. Dedicated parking! I would go back.

It was our first time dining here and we loved it! It was a great experience from being seated until the time we exited. Our server was great and knowledgeable about the options on the menu. Parking is a little tricky at this location, but the area in which this place is located is beautiful! It reminds me of a busy main street where you can stroll on the sidewalks and take in the nice views! I would recommend trying this place if you’re looking for good, comfort food.

We went here Saturday night and it was a great experience. Our server TJ(Thomas Jordan) was great. We enjoyed the food and the drinks. They had live music which was pretty good too. Try the shrimp at grits and the the Louisiana favorites!

Loved this place before and love it even more now. The new menu covers it all, love the fact that now there are so any different Po boy's. You can even mix and match them like I did half soft shell and half oysters. The Po boy was perfectly breaded and cooked. The bread is spot on, in fact in my opinion if you don't get this right the entire sandwich fails. The seafood gumbo was was delicious. A tad bit too salty but had great flavors. Girlfriend Breakfast sandwich and took it down! Atmosphere is laid back but fun. Not a lot of tables inside and out so call ahead as the place gets packed especially on the weekends. Service was with a smile and consistent. Plenty of parking in front and back of restaurant. Would I go here again? YES!!!

We found this little gem while visiting the area. The atmosphere was lively. The staff were accommodating. The menu was well stocked with delicious choices. I had the muffuletta and a cup of gumbo. The bread was amazing and the full flavor was very close to what you would have in New Orleans. The gumbo was also delicious, but the spice level was a bit light for me. Delicious, though. Don’t get me wrong. My wife did not bring home any of her roast beef (debris) sandwich, and that is saying something. Give this place a shot if you are looking for that New Orleans flavor.

Update 12/23/2023 one year later… Stopped in for breakfast as we are staying nearby. Waited over ten minutes for someone to come and offer us drinks, and another ten minutes just for coffee. Restaurant was not busy, maybe two other tables besides us and we were the only tables outside with our two pets as we made sure to arrive early to beat the crowds. Although staff was friendly and nice, service was just really slow and the fact that coffee was not ready at breakfast time was really disappointing. Syrup comes in small to go containers that was difficult to open and when I opened mine syrup erupted everywhere and got all over my clothes. Not sure why they use to go containers for syrup instead of syrup dispensers? Food was not hit when served, and shredded hash browns looked like mush. Was not shredded but looked flattened and smushed. I don’t think we’ll visit here again. Bottom review was from 2022 Ithink I love this place. Brunch menu was fantastic! Beautiful building inside and out, plenty of room and what really makes it special for me is it’s dog friendly. The whole ambiance was really great. Would have liked a little more attention from our waiter but it was brunch time and busy. Can’t wait to return and try their lunch and dinner menus.

We had an 11 o’clock reservation at Wegman’s and we were seated promptly. The biscuits with crawfish gravy, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and beignets (not pictured) were delicious. Our server (Ellie) was amazing. She was very attentive and our food came out fairly quick. I was very happy with the whole experience. We even got a visit from Chef Marc who greeted several patrons in the restaurant. The atmosphere and decor was also nice and cool. We were seated inside but there was outdoor seating available, which was nice as well.

Google
First time here, and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very inviting. Natalie, my server was fantastic and personable. The muffaletta was excellent, and the shrimp creole soup was good and a bit spicy. I didn't have a dessert, however the bread pudding sounds appealing. I look forward to going back and trying the brunch.

Yelp
If you're looking for Cajun food comparable to authentic New Orleans chow - this is the place! Formerly known as Adele's, Wegmans continues to satiate the taste buds with outstanding menu offerings. We dined on perfectly prepared fried oysters, a wedge salad, Calamari fries and a bowl of gumbo. The food was on point and fantastic! The manager, Ms. Smokey, warmly greeted us, was congenial and helpful throughout the meal. The wait staff rocked as they navigated narrow aisles serving the customers. Friday night featured live music by a talented gentleman who played a lot of late '70's music. Save room for beignets for desert. Love this place!

Yelp
I was in the area and searched for a brunch spot. I wanted something I hadn't had before. I chose this place because of the New Orleans flavor. I was disappointed. I got the Nola breakfast with two eggs over easy, a biscuit, breakfast potatoes, and bacon. I asked for the crawfish gravy and poured it on my biscuit and potatoes. I also got the French 75 cocktail. Here's the breakdown of everything: It's a small venue so I had to sit outside in the courtyard since they were full inside. But they had a heater out there (it's January) so that's cool. I don't care for country music and that's all they played. I thought it would be New Orleans music. But I didn't ding them for the music. It's not my style but I'm not their only guest. The bacon was delicious. Great flavor and crispy like I like it. The eggs were good, too (how can you mess up eggs?). And the biscuit was homemade and toasted on the inside. It was good, too. The French 75 cocktail was really good. So why was I disappointed? The crawfish gravy which cost $3 had no crawfish and hardly any flavor. That's the thing I thought would give me the New Orleans flair. I can get all this food at any breakfast place. I came here for the New Orleans flavor and I didn't get that. The breakfast potatoes were barely lukewarm and the flavor was decent but I've had better. The service was decent. I've had better and I've had worse. All in all, I doubt I'll come back here. There are just too many other restaurants I can visit. And I didn't get the New Orleans flavor I wanted.

Yelp
Looking for a po' boy sandwich? You've come to the right place. There's a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. We went for lunch and the breakfast and lunch items were available. Staff and service was friendly and accommodating. Establishment is nice and cozy with optional outdoor seating. Parking is on gravel so all you fancy car people, you have been warned. We got the po boy soft shell crab and Lobster bisque along with the Charlie's Wedge Salad. With grilled shrimp as an added protein. RJ got the alligator bites and fries. Food was filling. Po boy was a little bit salty to our liking and the salad was definitely a wedge of lettuce. The shrimp came out a little bit cold, like it had been sitting a while. Alligator bites were a little tough. Overall taste of the food for lunch was ok. I was hoping to get some crawfish but we were told it was out of season. The seafood entrees were only available during dinner. Kudos though for their Beignets. I definitely enjoyed that! We will have to come back here to try the dinner menu to give it a better rating.

Yelp
My partner & I brought a very dearly friend here today to Celebrate his birthday. Our waitress was Meribeth again & we couldn't have been more pleased to have her amazing service. We had a few appetizers, and drinks. Everything we had was super delicious. It was lovely seeing Smokie again, she's always so welcoming & delightful. We met the owner "Mark" & he was very nice & attentive. Once again we were very pleased with our visit & we'll be back for sure. P.S: Smokie, the Halloween decorations looked really nice . Thank you all for treating your customers soo nicely .

Rosemary A.

Yelp
We made lunch reservations for twelve and they had everything ready for us on the patio. Our waitress was lovely in every way. She "went the extra mile" to accommodate our large party. The food was delicious and the desserts were wonderful. I had a large salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Most people had seafood and raved about it. On the patio there was some sun for a while, but with the breeze it was very pleasant. Since we have some "older folks" in our group we especially loved that it was quiet so everyone could hear. I honestly had avoided this restaurant because I don't care for sea food, but the menu is diverse enough to accommodate everyone. Our experience was really good and I know we will be back.

Yelp
Great location with various sitting options (bar, indoor tables, courtyard and patio)! I never had this type of food before and it was great to get to try some of the dishes. We shared calamari, crawfish, shrimp wrapped in bacon, fried oysters, and a Bayou Burger. Oh yeah, and we could not say no to the coconut cheesecake...to die for! Everything is extremely flavorful, seasoned and often spicy. If you are like me, and you don't enjoy hot salty food, ask information about the dishes when ordering. The wait staff is amazing and so is the manager Smokie! Great piano bar and nice crowd!

Dwight M.

Yelp
Excellent little hidden gem. It was crowded at 8 pm but cleared out for easy seating. They were having a pig roast with great portions of smoked meat. There was live music as well. Wait staff was very attentive and had great suggestions.

Tara A.

Yelp
This place was very welcoming with great service. We sat on the patio with our dog. The Bloody Mary's hit the spot and helped me avoid my impending hangover. Also, the hot sauce is so good I almost stole it off the table. Great creole food and experience!

Paul F.

Yelp
I was in town for my daughter's basketball tournament. On my first day there I decided to eat at a Mexican restaurant. While seated at the bar I came across and made conversation with Marc. Come to find out he was the owner of Wegman's Bayou Louisiana Kitchen. Through our conversation I promised him I would visit his restaurant. I am a man of my word! The next day I made a trip to his establishment. I was greeted by the manager "Smokie"". The whole staff was extraordinary- Chris made the excellent smoked bourbon! You want great Bayou food this is it! The best kept secret hands down. I have no horse in this race except my tastebuds! When I come back here this will be my first stop. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and great food!

Cathy P.

Yelp
Nice place in Roswell. The chargrilled oysters were amazing and my scallops were cooked perfectly. I ate every bite! It's a small place so get there early!

Tim P.

Yelp
Enjoyed visiting this restaurant after six years away from Roswell. Last time we were here it was Adele's. We met a friend for lunch here. Started with a fried okra appetizer. It was whole fried pieces of okra with a spicy dipping sauce. I got the crawfish po boy with homemade chips and an excellent creamy slaw. My wife got a lunch size bowel of crawfish etoufee. She was amazed at the large serving size and enjoyed the taste. Our friend got the she crab soup with an appetizer of fried shrimp. She enjoyed both. The service and the server were spot on enjoyed a great lunch.

Bill H.

Yelp
If you haven't been there, you need to go. Celebrated my birthday with my family and it was fantastic. The food and service can't be topped. They even had an artist playing and singing that was soooooo cool. Needless to say, I will be going back there again!!!!

Bob S.

Yelp
Good, not great meal tonite on Valentine's day 2024. Sides arrived cold but were reheated, then bisque turned watery instead of creamy as is customary. Staff always treats us well here but entire meal took 2 hours without appetizers due to spotty service. Will keep returning as food is good, atmosphere is great, & we are always treated well.

Laura N.

Yelp
Our experience here immediately took a turn for the worst as soon as we arrived. When we were seated outside on the patio, we decided to move one table over adjacent to us to be more in the sun. The female manager came running over and loudly stated multiple times that there was a "special" party with their dog on their way and that this table has been reserved for them. At this point the whole patio was staring our way. So yes, we had to move tables to accommodate an animal. Then after moving tables, we waited 10+ minutes to be seen by a server, all while the special party next to us had just arrived and already was being attended to by a server. The manager then sat down with the special party of 2 + their dog and proceeded to talk very loudly, including cursing during our Sunday Brunch. Our server, Grady, arrived and apologized for the delay- he was great, which gets this place at least 2 stars. We did not appreciate the preferential treatment by the manager being shown to this special party and their dog all while we felt like a nuisance for being in their way.

Keith W.

Yelp
The food here is very good, seasoned very well, and fresh. I appreciated the attentive service from our server, as well as what seemed to be either the female owner or manager who walked us through her favorites, and made great suggestions. Tucked away in a quiet little space great for lunch or dinner!

Jared B.

Yelp
The best poboys around, oyster poboys, grilled shrimp poboys complimented by a cup of Shrimp creole, oh so good. Dinner ambience is nice with a New Orleans feel, especially when a second line band plays, a little pasta and lobster bisque, it makes for a great night.

Lauren S.

Yelp
I gave it 3 only because it use to be a wonderful place with a great chef. So fast forward to today and name change it was really disappointing. Had brunch.. ordered the quiche w salad. Salad was fresh and good. The quiche was dryed out and tasteless. I think they took the quiche and microwaved it. So they did take it back and I went with my standard shrimp PO Boy.. and OMG they messed that up too. It was a fried shrimp sandwich w mayo. No remoulade sauce.. really? It's sad to see what divorce does to a restaurant. I hope the chef/owner reads this and bring his game back to Roswell. OH,, the bloody Marys were great...

Shani B.

Yelp
Visited for a holiday party. Quaint decor. Service was good. Food was decent. I was not blown away by the food.

Ginny C.

Yelp
Great food, great company, great service! Can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Feels like I'm home in New Orleans having drinks and food with friends. Considering how hard it is right now to get good service (thanks to labor shortages), we were blown away by the outstanding attention from our server. Marc and his team not only bring a wonderful experience, they also support their local community. There's nothing better than that kind of hospitality! Looking forward to coming back soon! Should have taken more pics of the food, but ate it too fast.

Heather K.

Yelp
You gotta check out this place for real Louisiana cooking. Whether a po-boy, a muffuletta or their famous jambalaya, it's all delicious. Reasonable priced lunch too! And don't miss the lobster bisque!

Mary Ella C.

Yelp
Always enjoy the pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Good food so fresh. I always want to try new things because their recipes suit my taste buds.

Fran T.

Yelp
Food is always delicious. Never disappoints. Our favorites are the Crawfish Bisque, Fried Alligator, Dinner Special Scallops, Pasta Opelousas, Bread Pudding & Beignets. Live music on the weekend nights are an extra treat.

Jordan S.

Yelp
This place struck me as somewhere that might've used to be tasty and adequately-staffed, but is now sitting on a very inflated review-score while the actual experience is a husk of that.

Nick S.

Yelp
Cool spot in Roswell to grab some Bayou flavors. Other reviews had my nervous, but the wife and I figured we would make our on decisions. The place was fantastic, the hostess' carved us a spot at the bar even though we didnt make a reservation. They went above and beyond. Food was amazing and the portion sizes seemed normal. Started with the calimari fries which were fried perfectly and had a sweet taste to them. The wife ordered the Pasta Lagniappe which was a lightly fried seafood pasta dish with old bay butter sauce. deliscious. I got the soft shell crab Po'boy and the barkeep suggested the crawfish etouffee. everything was great. I suggest grabbing the etouffee. The prices seem in line with anywhere else these days. We will be back ASAP.

Lillian P.

Yelp
Nice little southern cooking restaurant went here for brunch and got their lobster omelette which was awesome. Only grip is for brunch no alcohol is served prior to 11-12 but overall great food.

Dave S.

Yelp
I hate leaving 1-star reviews. You could easily note that I don't do it often. But holy mother of all things food, this was the worst brunch/breakfast I've had in so many years that I can't help but comment. I came here often when it was Adele's, we live close by, and we decided on a Saturday to check out the updated spot after it changed to Wegman's. Calling it a disappointment would be kind. Folks, this is not good food. If you want to come drink at the bar, do it - it's overpriced and run by ADD bartenders who barely pay attention to you, but go on. Just don't get the food. We ordered the simplest things for brunch/breakfast, and they were simply atrocious. I ordered the "NOLA breakfast". I split my time 50/50 between Roswell and NOLA, so I know Cajun food and a NOLA breakfast it ain't. Here's how bad it was. Eggs ordered over well (hard) - came out over easy. Sausage patty - one, small, CHARRED brick of a patty. Biscuit - hard as a rock, and not even good (honestly felt like a Costco store-bought biscuit or one left over from a week ago). Asked for hash browns to be crispy - they were mushy as hell and terrible. Literally every single thing in the "NOLA Breakfast" was crap. My wife got the special, chicken and waffles. Waffles were cold (like, cold. Not lukewarm. COLD.) and the chicken was overdone chicken strips. STRIPS. She's not 8 years old. Where is the actual chicken? Did I mention overdone? They were rubber. And about that bartender? She had to be flagged down continually with a mostly empty bar. Gave zero f**ks. I'll never come back, sadly. Adele's was pretty decent. I liked having some Cajun food and drinks close to me in Roswell, when not in NOLA, but this is so bad it doesn't ever deserve my money again. I'll just wait until I am back in NOLA. This food (and frankly the whole vibe of the new place) is modeled after the crappy places on Bourbon close to Canal that any local avoids like the plague. Don't come here.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Great Atmosphere and located near downtown Roswell. Friendly staff and the food was good. It was fun to try the alligator bites. Soft and tender meat. The Blackened Fish Po' Boy was delish.

Andrew R.

Yelp
Food and ambiance are exceptional. Best place in Roswell for true Louisiana cuisine. Food and ambiance are exceptional. Best place in Roswell for true Louisiana cuisine.

Xiomara S.

Yelp
I just love this place! The food is delicious, the staff is attentive and friendly and the vibe is laid back. The food is consistently flavorful, i returned for the biscuits with crawfish sauce... yummy

George C.

Yelp
I've been here twice. The first time the food tasted pretty well seasoned but I'm going to assume because the dishes we got came with the "cup" sized portion of rice and beans so it's easier to overlook the fact that it wasn't seasoned well when you get a "costco" sample portion (not literally but the cup size is small. Appetizer: Colossal Crabcakes - the best thing ordered that day. Tasted very good. Main Entree: 1. Red Beans & Rice - no seasoning aside from some black pepper (ordered the plate size) 2. Shrimp Creole - no flavor whatsoever and overcooked Shrimp (mushy; also ordered the plate size) 3. Jambalaya - no flavor (ordered the plate size) I asked the waiter to please re-do just the shrimp. It came back looking paler than Marilyn Manson (you could have prepared it in butter at least and not by passing running hot water on them). It was actually to the right texture the second go round but was unseasoned. I replaced the new shrimp in my shrimp creole to see if I can liven it up and it was a tough swallow. Ended up not eating the food (took it home but it stayed camped out in my fridge for about 2 days before I tossed it). The bread pudding I purchased "to-go" wasn't bad at all. Overall, the food needs flavor for sure. Having gone to NOLA and eaten at establishments there this spot needs a LOT of work in the flavor department. Sorry to be blunt.

D R.

Yelp
Our first and last visit. Service was awful and when we finally involved the manager she made ridiculous excuses for the poor service and delays. There were four people in our party and two of the meals came out a full 10 minutes before the other two. The manager did take the last two off our bill but by then (after an hour and a half in the restaurant) our meal was ruined. To boot, the food was just not good. Very disappointing.

Jason L.

Yelp
A favorite staple place of mine in the Roswell area. All po boys are great but the Hot Sausage is my fave. Gumbo and Lagniappe pasta are also must try

Jeanne D.

Yelp
I was in a party of 8 seated outside in a buggy dilapidated area that might have been nice but no longer.the hanging baskets were literally hanging with dead plants. The waitress was rough and not accommodating. She would make statements like this is the best I can do and another server stated only pass out the drinks don't know what they are.... Huh? Food was below average unless it was fried. I will not return

Chad R.

Yelp
Awesome gem in downtown Roswell. Wonderful ambience where fine dining meets rustic Louisiana vibe with live a really good musican singing Motown and RnB ( sadly didn't hear any jazz) Our server Eric was attentive. I had the Lagniappe that sautéed shrimp& crawfish tails tossed in lobster cream sauce served over angel hair pasta & topped with fried oysters. Wonderful story flavor profile guaranteed to satiate. Lobster cream sauce was a tad runny otherwise this dish is perfect. The pan seared halibut was served with lobster ravioli, roasted corn, tomato and spinach with brown butter sauce. This dish was magnifico . Great for date night, leave the kids at home. Would recommend without hesitation. Definitely will be back soon.

David C.

Yelp
I always enjoyed Adele's and this was the first time I've dined here since the change to Wegnan's. It seems to be mostly the same menu and the quality of the food and service are still high. I should have gone to my "regular" shrimp PoBoy and Cajun side dish just to make sure it was still awesome. I went with the Shrimp and Grits and the flavor was great, but honestly, I prefer grits, not a grit cake. I've got nothing against grit cakes, but it wasn't enough and it didn't add any flavor to the dish. I recommend going back to a nice helping of Parmesan grits or something similar. All said, I'm thrilled to have a great Cajun restaurant like Wegman's in Roswell.

Bob K.

Yelp
Cajun pasta was on point. The crawfish dip was amazing. And the service was great. Highly recommend this place.

Teddy B.

Yelp
The best way I can describe the food is OMG...it's AMAZING...also we had the world's best server ... ask for Eric he is the man!!!

Stacey G.

Yelp
First time there, not that impressed. The service was extremely slow however friendly. Tried the calamari fries which were good, not outstanding. Did not love the crab cake either. The beignets were awesome!!

Frank R.

Yelp
The portions and the prices are not ok. I was excited to try it for the first time but both my wife and myself were both very let down. For Louisiana or NOLA food, I recommend Flatlands Bayou which isn't far from this location. Amazing food and good ambiance.

Charles G.

Yelp
My wife and I made a reservation here for a random date night, and it was a great choice! So, first, why is it missing a star? Because I'm a miserable curmudgeon. This likely is the actual reason, but for more detail I was confused trying to find where to park in the dark here. Signage is not incredibly clear, and I would have probably paid a decent amount for valet parking not to have to deal with it again. The other reason is that the hostess seemed overwhelmed and kind of laughed at the idea that we had made a reservation at all. But the rest of those stars? Shiny as heck! We sat at the bar first, even though we were kind of squeezed in. The bartenders were doing some great work keeping up with the orders for those eating at the bar and making some pretty great (if strong!) drinks. The food was beyond amazing. Now, much like my disclaimer about Italian food (I'm one of few Americans without a mythical Nonna somewhere making the world's most-whatever-[generic Italian offering]), I have no dog in a fight for cajun food. My wife, however, went to Tulane and worked at one of those hoity-toity restaurants where she got to experience cajun food done at a high level. She approved of the atmosphere right off, and the food matched that New Orleans vibe for her, so I'm a happy customer (sorry to those who say it's not New Orleans food!). We had the trio appetizer so that we could try the gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice. I was disappointed at what looked like a small offering at first, but as we ate we realized it was plenty for an appetizer for two to share with bread. My wife got the crab cake entree, and I had the redfish special - we were both extremely satisfied with the quality and presentation of the food! We also had some beignets (my first time having them!) and a slice of key lime pie, which was a great and refreshing way to end the meal. Our server was extremely nice, although somehow a couple of orders got accidentally added to our bill by mistake, which she took care of quickly. Is it cramped and loud? Yes. Is it a small menu? Yes, as it should be. Was there a wait for things? Yes, but that's because people want to eat here and quality seems to be important to the cooks/servers/bartenders. So if you have the time, come out and enjoy this place. It's certainly not a secret, nor should it be!

Leigh W.

Yelp
Was a bit hesitant to try this place in the heart of Roswell but left thinking I found a regular spot for brunch. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating both indoors and outside on the covered breezeway. We were seated immediately and our waiter was great. The food specials sounded wonderful and portions are perfect sized. Some perks include being open early on Sunday, private parking lot and relaxed vibe. Glad we have this one a try.

Karen C.

Yelp
The young waiter did a great job. Pretty standard Cajun menu. We sat outside with our dog which was nice.

Shannon L.

Yelp
I was meeting a date there at 6 p.m. on Friday and specifically picked this place because of its atmosphere, live music, drinks and exceptional food. I met my date there at 6 p.m. before it got too crowded. I was feeling the vibe enjoying my glass of wine, the live music and conversation. About 20 minutes in the owner of the restaurant came up to us and said we had to move because she has a lot of regulars who come in and always sit at the bar and we had not made a reservation, though my date tried to on Resi to no luck. I've been in the restaurant business for over 35 years and never ever heard of a restaurant holding seats at the bar (even when I worked at Horseradish Grill and we would have busy crowds for Chastain Park concerts). She asked if we wanted to sit outside and I declined so she brought a 2 top in and we moved to a table at the bar. Just when I saw a couple take our seats at the bar. I felt like the red headed stepchild sent to sit at the kids table on Thanksgiving. It really spoiled my evening. The place does have great food but obviously they don't want to make new friends!

Gia W.

Yelp
Cajun cuisine? Maybe. New Orleans food? No ma'am! The charbroiled oysters were dry and not good with absolutely no cheese or favor. The crab cake was less than tasty but edible. Nothing special. I had the seafood platter with oysters, shrimp and catfish with a side of jambalaya. The catfish is not whole! It is strips! The jambalaya is not authentic. But okay. It's just not what I expected at all. This place is just okay. Nothing to write home about or a must do.

Michell W.

Yelp
Really nice Cajun joint on Canton street. The aesthetics of the place was really good, it reminded of home (SE Texas); it had a huge comfort level. The staff were super nice and attentive. The food selection was good and our order was tasty. I got the seafood platter with shrimp, catfish, and alligator. All of it was good, but all fried and I couldn't tell the difference between the alligator and catfish strips. Also the fries were a little off color, but tasted fine. We also had the roast beef po-boy. My husband loved it, I was looking for more of a beef roast consistency and this was more of roast beef slices. We also had some pralines, these were 'Poches' brand and not house made.

Yelp
Been coming here for years even when they were under another name and in their previous location. The food was always good and the folks were friendly. I always liked coming her for the Po'Boys because I lived the bread, homemade chips and slaw. Well I guess with the name change the food has changed. Small portions with big prices. I ordered a seafood half and half and was charged $17.95 and an additional $6 because I got 2 meats. It's mind blowing because you only get half a serving of the meat so why are they charging more for less? The chips were salty, the bread was just run of the mill bread I could get at a grocery deli, not the chewy New Orleans style they use to have. Also the coleslaw was soggy, wilted, and looked like it had been sitting out overnight. On top of that it was barely 2 tablespoons. Maybe it was because it was lunch and the good cooks work nights. On top of the food not being good the service was worst. I ordered a pick-up and waited over 10 minutes for the young lady working the bar to stop talking and walking around the restaurant to take my money. I had at least 3 waiters ask me if I need help and when I said I had a pickup they just said ok and walked away.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for a date night and we haven't stopped talking about going back. The service is great and the environment is so fun. I got the fried shrimp po-boy and it was top notch, just like something you'd get in Louisiana. We got the trio of soups as an appetizer and all were amazing, especially the etouffee. We can't wait to come back here soon!

Yelp
Wegman's was a great spot for a drink on the patio and some dinner. The portions were generous and the service was great!

Yelp
Delicious Louisiana food. Feel like I'm back in New Orleans where we never had a bad meal. Can't go wrong grabbing lunch or dinner here.
