Chef Adam Brick Previews New Restaurant Marinas With Neapolitan Pizza Pop-Up - Eater Austin

"Chef/owner Adam Brick is hosting a delayed pop-up preview of his forthcoming restaurant Marinas. The event takes place at Cane Rosso in Sunset Valley at 4715 South Lamar Boulevard. The menu features three pies, including a carbonara pie, using flour from Barton Springs Mill, a natural sourdough starter, and four heritage wheat varieties. Additional dishes include bread with seaweed butter, pasta with shrimp, pork belly sausage, Calabrian chilis, confit sunchokes, smoked tuna, spiced cauliflower with cashew yogurt, and a dessert of pistachio custard with strawberries and meringue. The pop-up was originally scheduled for April 9 but was canceled. Marinas will serve wood-fired dishes, Cuban sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, and coffee, and it is named after Brick’s grandmother." - Nadia Chaudhury

I am the caretaker for my mother and have been coming to this location for over 3 years. Our physician was Alejandra Garza, plus that speaks Spanish. However, this location's service has greatly declined. They sent my mother to get x-rays, never heard back. Requested a call back, never received it, they placed an order for a cane, never got it. My mother is in great pain and all they wanted to do was prescribe her pain medication rather getting to the root. This is extremely alarming to me considering all the patients that may come here without anyone else seeing for their best interest. Lastly, there is no physician available. You will only see RN's and PA's. Hope this helps. Plus is front desk is nice and staff.

WellMed's arrival is a pivotal addition for seniors in Sunset Valley and South Austin. Nestled near Stouthaus Coffee, behind AISD Burger Athletic Complex, it's a beacon of support for seniors. This comprehensive center boasts an activity hub and physician's office, offering diverse weekly activities from yoga to art classes. Free daily lunches for those aged 60+ underscore its commitment to seniors' well-being. Conveniently located, it ensures easy access to quality healthcare and fosters a vibrant social atmosphere. WellMed’s presence enriches our community, bridging healthcare and social engagement, positively impacting the lives of our seniors in a profound and holistic manner.

As a Medicare Advantage client, my primary provider has been excellent as has the walk in service when required. The facility is comfortable and the service being prompt and conclusive. A very good group of people! Update - February 2021 Since my original review the service level of WellMed at Ben White has taken a nose dive where it is virtually impossible to talk to anyone on the medical staff leaving the bulk of of contacts to the poor front desk folks. It seems that the professionals are hiding in the innards of the building complicated by a phone system that no longer functions. This organization has taken a steep dive as to the level of service to its clients and reluctantly I must reduce the rating a a single star...

Got to rate this low because the physician, Goldstein, isn't much of help with issues. Just says there's nothing he can do. Went to my doctor and something was done. Never going to vist the guy again. Word of advice: talk to your doctor as soon as you can. Talking with him is just a waste of time.

Altho initially satisfied and pleased with my PCP - beware!!! if you need a specialist! The subgroup of Wellmed coverage within a major insurer, e.g. Humana, is extremely limited to the point where I had to change my PCP to get a covered facility for PT needed following a major surgery. Research before you sign.
