My wife and I had just left brunch at a place on Hawthorne, where we'd just discovered a new hot sauce, manufactured and sold locally, and that we'd fallen in love with. I happened to look online on where to purchase it, and one of the two places mentioned was "Wellspent Market".
Never heard of it.
After leaving the restaurant, we got in the car and were headed across town, when we happened to drive right past Wellspent Market.
"Hey, that's the place that has the hot sauce!"
[braking noises]
Well, I may have never heard of it before, but Wellspent Market is now firmly ingrained in my mind, seared into my gray matter with a burning brand as hot as the hot sauce that I purchased there (Chelo, if you're curious). My wife and I both marveled at the exotic array of foods and spices, sauces, oils, vinegars, pasta, dry goods, coffee, cheeses, candies, cooking tools, utensils, and beverages, all crammed into a Tardis-like, "it's bigger on the inside" mini market. How we haven't heard of this place before is a mystery to us both!
Assuredly, I say unto thee, we shall return again! And even though, during this first visit, I may have only purchased the hot sauce, it was...
[pun/Dad joke trigger warning]
...ahem...
...money Wellspent!
