I hate when I have such a horrible experience at a business or restaurant that my motivation for writing the review, is driven by anger and disbelief in the way people act. In my time serving food to others, whether through the window of a drive thru, or delivering the plate right in front of the guest; had I dared to be so rude, I would have been immediately terminated from that job. But as sad as it is, I could probably go back to the Wendy's on Park Ave right now and if it was this persons shift, I'd bet money that nothing happened and she is still handing bags out the drive thru as rude as ever.
I stopped quickly at this location on Park Ave in Worcester this past week. I went through the drive thru, only because I was super short on time and there was one car ahead that was already paying at the first window. I ordered 2 small Chocolate Frosty's, the son of a Baconator burger ( just the sandwich, not the meal), and a Chicken Sandwich from the value menu.
I paid at the first window, pulled up to the second window, and this is where their employee of the year stepped in. After she handed me a bag and one Frosty; she walked away, and I just waited at the window, because she said nothing indicating that she wasn't coming back.
Finally she notices me! So I said , excuse me, I ordered 2 small chocolate frosty's? She instantly took the attitude out and responded NO, you ordered ONE. I said well I had asked for 2 at the window, but I don't believe I received a receipt . I was barely able to finish talking , as she straight up walked away from the Drive Thru window obviously annoyed.
She comes back and sticks the receipt out at me. She goes "you ordered one Frosty and paid for one Frosty". So I look at her and go "well maybe the girl who took my order at the first window didn't hear me correctly ; but regardless, I still need another Frosty. Can you just make one and
charge me, please"? Her response to me was that if I wanted another small Frosty, I needed to either come inside or go back through the drive thru line.... even though I asked her before I paid for my order, so realistically all she had to do was add it to my order and it might have added an extra 30 seconds onto my time at the window. Instead she was so beyond rude, I ended up driving out of the parking lot. THIS RIGHT HERE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MAKES YOU GO BACK TO A SPECIFIC PLACE & CUSTOMER SERVICE THATS SO POOR, that you vow to never go back to a location again - even if it's convenient.
This person either needs a new job, or she needs to be retrained and learn that she has a job that serves the public - so treating them poorly probably isn't the best idea.
For what it's worth, the receipt she so rudely took time to grab from the girl at the first window did have a name on it, Kerelyn. I'm not one to usually take the time to give such lengthy bad reviews. But I have gone here and had the misfortune of being helped by this woman at least 3 times, and I have yet to catch her on a friendly day; so clearly she is allowed to behave however she feels at work. Lesson learned . WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS WENDYS AGAIN.
