This place is beautiful and cozy with great vibes, great views and incredible food. Our server, Mia, went above and beyond to make sure my boyfriend and I were satisfied. Don’t forget to try their homemade sauce - mustardy and spicy deliciousness. Can’t give this place enough praise! Thank you, Mia! ♥️☺️

My coworkers and I needed to kill time before headed to the airport and someone recommended walking Pearl Street Mall. Thank god they did and we found this place. Stopped in for a late lunch Wednesday around 1:30 and got seated right away. It’s several levels so you think small and quaint but it was amazingly laid out. Server was fantastic and super nice. The food!!!! Between five of us I give five stars to the Burt ends, sweet potato fries, BBQ sauce, smoked turkey club, brisket plate, Brussel salad, and the biggest Philly cheese steak I have seen with a huge side of melted cheese. The food was priced great for how amazing it was and huge generous portions. We will absolutely be making this an annual stop from the conference. I always take pictures for my reviews so I’m sad I don’t have any, but this food was so amazing and so good! We WILL be returning!

Stopped in and had a Brisket Sandwich and a PBR. Sweet young blonde girl working the Bar. She was Friendly, The Sandwich was Good. The portion was good. The price was in line. I'd do it again. Give it a go.

I ate the brisket platter. It was tasty. So were the beans, coleslaw, Texas toast & pickles. Bbq sauce was good too.

Google
The West End Tavern was a pleasant experience with a few hiccups. We quite enjoyed the jalapeno dip, the peppers paired with the cheese so well and the portion size was far better than most other restaurants selling the same item. The fish from the fish and chips was crispy with a tasty batter and the fries were pretty decent. The sticky style chicken sandwich was an interesting take that absolutely had me reaching for the wet naps. It was sweet and crispy with a bit too much apple, overall nice but I don't think I'll go back to it. The kids food is where I question things. Kids are picky, sure, but why is the chicken breast and fries so plain? The service was ok, a bit slow at times and and definitely distracted.

Google
Amazing restaurant with delicious food and drinks!! Came here on a Friday at 6pm and got seated right away. Their rooftop atmosphere was nice and the service was amazing. While we were in the middle of eating it started raining and everyone in the rooftop moved inside. We got seated inside immediately which was super nice of them. My husband loved the patty melt and the turkey bacon on ciabatta was absolutely delicious!

Google
Classic traditional bar with lots of nice woodwork and a decent mix of draft local beers to choose from. They do have a rooftop terrace and additional seating upstairs but we chose to relax at the bar on this visit.

Yelp
Overall it was pretty amazing- the service, food and the atmosphere. I was looking for a restaurant that was family friendly but still had *Boulder* vibes. The reviews didn't disappoint when leading me to West End Tavern. I was a little nervous when we first walked in with the toddler and kids in tow but we were welcomed right away. It is dark so my toddler had to voice his opinion on there "not" being lights but he was fine We ordered the cornbread skillet with Honey butter- it is made fresh to order so it came out with our food but we didn't mind. The cornbread is jalapeño based so it had a slight kick to it but very good. The two littles ordered a cheeseburger and mac & cheese off the kids menu. The burger was huge and the mac & cheese was homemade and fresh. The boys loved it. Their kids meals came with the most chocolatey delicious brownie I've seen in a long time! I might've stolen a bite or two. I had two drinks off the happy hour menu- the house margarita and a punch- both we very good (and strong). Great value for $6! To eat the teenager ordered the patty melt- which he said was delicious. I ordered the west end Philly- it was so good! The cheese sauce paired nicely with the sandwich- so much food! The fries was great too! My husband had the smoked brisket and pulled pork combo which had a great char flavor. Also a side note- being from south Texas our kids love their sweet tea- which is hit or miss as we venture out of Texas, but our server said it wasn't a problem and they could made some (simple syrup + iced tea). Overall I'd highly recommend even with kids in tow. Hands down one of the best restaurants we've been to in Colorado.

Yelp
After reading the good reviews for this restaurant, I had hopes for a promising meal--unfortunately, that was not the case. For starters, maybe this is just me and my dining companions, but we had a bit of a difficult time finding the restaurant due to the poor signage. I noticed the banners on the corner of the street, but that was the only clear advertisement. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly employee and were seated right away. We ended up ordering a burger, bbq pork sandwich, and brisket sandwich, all of which were hardly lukewarm. The only sides that were served hot were the sweet potato fries and onion rings, my fries were cold. The consensus: food isn't great, on average about a 5/10, but we could see how it might be good after you've had a few drinks. 3 stars since our waiter was very friendly and gave us some menu suggestions, but if it weren't for him, I'd probably knock it down to a 1 star review. I definitely won't be returning.

Yelp
Let me start with the good stuff. The cocktails were good. I had the West End 75 and it was really flavorful and balanced. My husband had a milk stout --it was fine. Our server was nice. He was polite and efficient. He took care of us and made sure our waters were full and got our order in right away. My French onion soup was flavorful and the fries were extra crispy. But that's where it ends. I'm not sure if anyone in the kitchen really knows how to season things. My daughter and I split the steak wedge salad, and the tenderloin pieces were completely unseasoned. My son had the blackened mahi sandwich, and I don't know if anything was actually blackened. The fish looked blackened, but the seasoning was completely lacking. My other child had fish and chips, but the coleslaw that came with it was just cabbage. There was no seasoning or sauce to warrant calling it a slaw. For the price point of the food, I expected more. The descriptions on the menu made the food sound amazing but overall everything came out kind of bland and unseasoned. The vibes of the West End are chill and you'd really have a great thing going if your flavors could deliver.

Yelp
We came back again for Happy Hour on the rooftop patio. Not ideal weather, cloudier than earlier in the day for the perfect view but still worth the hike up the stairs. Good music too. Last time we were at West End, my husband . An amber/red ale drinker had an out of state option since the house draft, El Corn was out of stock. Yet again, though on the happy hour menu it was again out. Luckily the. Server was willing to sub the other for Happy Hour price which we appreciated. Maybe next time the house beer. Will be in stock. Only one other table was occupied midweek. Though I guarantee it would be hard to get seating on a weekend later at night. If you want the view and fun, plan ahead. We each ordered the higher end slider burger and shared the sweet potato fries. The Prairie Star smash slider is a great upgrade on meat and sustainable ranching. It was also the larger version of a slider and perfectly cooked. I would definitely get it again as well as in the full size burger. My iced tea was just right. Fries order, ample enough to bring some home for lunch today. At dusk , there can be gnats on the roof near the planters. Probably a bigger crowd would scare them away. Will be back another time and enjoy the updated interior inside. Loved the new floors and seating styles!

Yelp
This is a boulder classic that has been around for decades for a reason! Serving up American classics in a cozy environment. Almost always busy but the service is fast and food is great! Highly recommend the French onion soup

Yelp
Brisket sandwich? 4.5 outta 5 from me and a reason to visit this spot for sure. Heck, as our wonderful server said, and now I agree, if it involves the smoked brisket say yes and don't look back. We stopped in for a late dinner and the spot was still very much alive. The vibes were high, smiles and drinks flowing, and the first hint of fall was in the evening's air as we enjoyed a couple of seats on the patio. So why 4.5? I've gotta say it's the bread and the fries honestly. The bread was generic Texas toast. It had been well toasted but the texture was very dense and doughy, and the flavor generally bland. In addition to texture, I like the bread to add some character in a sandwich and this one just didn't do that for me. And the fries were just frozen fries. Nothing remarkable and kinda disappointing considering I'm assuming they spend some time on the brisket and other food. But the brisket? 5/5 perfectly rendered, juicy, rich, smoky and meaty. There's no shortage of it on the sandwich either. It's monstrous and so good. The roasted garlic aioli is a solid compliment too. Solid meal for sure.

Yelp
West End Tavern is a staple in Boulder and a place I look forward to dining at. It's a damn reliable local spot on Pearl Street. With a sea of restaurant options nearby, West End always delivers. After a long event day, I was craving a laid back dining experience. I also wanted some killer food to impress my out-of-town colleague. Although there are still so many places in Boulder for me to check off my list, I simply wanted a dependable spot with pub food and a good beer list. West End Tavern fit my food/drink/ambiance needs to a T. *Pro tip: grab a spot on the front patio along Pearl Street* *Double pro tip: if you have an adventurous diner in your party, go halfsies on the sandwiches so you get to try multiple items!* PATTY MELT ($17) // two house ground brisket patties, swiss, caramelized onion, kick it up sauce, buttered texas toast. Woah, this thing was meaty and unctuous. Though neither sandwich was nothing to look at, the flavors were great. My only ask was that the bread had a better toast and crisp to it. Still a very above average patty melt with great melty cheese. SMOKED BRISKET SANDWICH ($19) // smoked garlic mayo, red onion, house- made pickles, kc bbq sauce, buttered sourdough toast. You'd never know, but they're serious about their BBQ here. Again, the sandwich didn't look aesthetically pleasing, but the brisket was divine. I just wish the bread had more of a toast to it like the other sandwich. The fries and onion rings were standard, nothing to rave about. I do like their Colorado-focused beer list. I snagged one of my favorite IPA's from New Image. And I must give props to our server, who was polite, informative and extremely friendly.

Yelp
Sat down quickly for lunch on a Saturday. The place was slow so we were expecting some quick service. Waited almost 30 minutes before a server even came to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes to actually receive our drinks. We ordered a Coke that was flat and tasted awful. The peach no-heat-o was good though. Server takes our order and we wait another 40 minutes before they come back. They say there was an issue and our order was never sent in the first place, and our server asks for our orders again! Totally ridiculous, we walked out.

Yelp
Service was good' food I'm give it 3stars. I ordered the burger and onion rings , burger average onion rings came out cold. The fried pickles are a 10 out of 10 and the lemon-drop martini was absolutely amazing. One of the best I've had . Ambiance nice setting has a heated roof- top if you can take 39 degrees Wings and sweet potato fries I wouldn't recommend.. Food okay service good. Drinks are amazing. Customer Service

Yelp
Our very favorite local hamburger place located in the west of Pearl Street Boulder. We've been going to the same place for years the burger and the fried chicken sandwich never disappointed us and best fries in town. Service is always perfect

Yelp
The West End Tavern is a mainstay on the Pearl Mall if you want solid BBQ or great bar food and of course a great drink. I prefer to go during the week as the place can get crazy on the weekends so just heads up if you get there during a prime time that you might be in for a wait. The rooftop views are absolutely amazing which is a very good reason for the joint to be busy in the evening. The vibe is old school bar and the staff is always friendly. I like taking visitors to West End during less busy times as it has such a great feel and ambiance. My suggestion is their chicken wings and your drink of choice. You really can go wrong!

Yelp
Quiet bar on an early Wednesday evening. The bar itself is a few notches above "dive", in a good way. Bartender was nice and friendly and the overall vibe is good. Not too loud

Yelp
They have burnt ends!! Pretty unique find on Pearl Street tourist trap. Excellent smoked tomato bisque, hope to continue to see that on the menu. Patty melt lackluster in flavor. Steak burger overcooked but still decent. Brisket very good. Cocktails very good. French fries excellent. Kale slaw lackluster. Philly cheesesteak excellent. Value for said food, poor... (But hey it's Pearl Street) Service staff appear genuine and company was enjoyed. Great location for some people watching. Overall pretty good experience.

Yelp
We went here Sunday for lunch while we were out shopping. The rooftop was full so we sat out front on the sidewalk. Our server was great very friendly and helped with recommendations. We got the smoked jalapeno cheese dip to share which was really not spicy at all but tastes great. I got the Colorado Cobb salad and it was also very good and had plenty to fill me up. My husband got the brisket with Mac and cheese and he said it was good but could be more tender. He got the Mac and cheese as a side and it was delicious.

Yelp
Food good, service good. Beware of the lunch special that "includes " a drink......we were charged an extra $5.

Yelp
Called ahead as we were out of towners. "Do you have plenty of TVs for today's games"? "Oh, we have loads"! When we made our way there and paid 10 bucks to park, there was exactly 1 tv in the bar. About a 42 incher at the end not in the middle. Upstairs was closed for a function we weren't advised of. So that was a costly mistake. Ended up at BJ's and where the food was hot, and beer was cold. I would never recommend this place for a sports bar. You will get nothing.

Yelp
Most mid dining experience of my life. Came here for fish and chips bc we heard they were good here. WRONG better at long John silvers TRULY. tasted like dirty oil and no seasoning. Save your 20 and go get fast food. The only reason I'm not saying it was 0 stars is bc the drinks were fine.

Yelp
YUMMM this place is so so good. We went with a group of 5 plus a baby and we're seated right away. The service was quick and very nice. The food was excellent!!! Highly recommend pulled pork Mac and cheese and a big share plate of different meats. It was so yummy. Highly recommend if you are in the area! When we visit again next time we will be coming back.

Yelp
Burnt Ends were great! Nice ambiance. Service was good. We went in late afternoon. It was quiet and conversation was easy.

Yelp
I'm glad we decided to check out this place! One of the best brisket sandwiches I've had outside of Texas. My sandwich came with at least 3 thick slices of brisket that was perfectly seasoned and moist in the middle; I really liked that the Texas toast it came on was buttered and just lightly toasted rather than being crispy and overly toasted. The included seasoned fries were nice and crispy! It was definitely a Texas sized portion. The entire menu all looked so good, we had trouble deciding what to eat! I would definitely be back to trie the loaded corn bread and wings next. It is located on Pearl Street in Boulder, so parking can be a challenge with parallel parking or a nearby parking garage.

B R.

Yelp
Dark, atmospheric bar & tavern on the Pearl Street Mall. We went for the wings which were good but not great. However, my Cobb Salad was excellent and the fries were also excellent. We'll definitely head back here. Cool vibe, friendly staff. Apparently the rooftop is awesome in the Summer. Will check in out.

Yelp
I would like to give this place a zero honestly. Service sucks and food terrible. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch on our little visit to Boulder. We were craving barbecue and this place did not disappointed us. The food came warm and very tasty. The servers were great... the atmosphere was phenomenal and I really liked the fact that we were sit facing the mountains. I'd definitely come back when I visit Boulder again.

Yelp
It may have just been my choice in meal, but I can't say I'm overly impressed by West End Tavern - the experience was just meh. The waitress was friendly enough and it seemed like there were a few different regulars that knew the staff, but the actual food left a lot to be desired. We came in for lunch on a weekend right before the rush and were greeted and seated pretty quickly. There is a definite bar vibe but seems to be very family friendly during the normal dining hours. Late on a Friday or Saturday may not be the best for your little ones; if not for the bar scene, perhaps for the potential of very crowded spaces, but take that with a grain of salt; I am just assuming based on similar places in the area. The decor is really cool and there is a recurring theme of a mascot beaver all over the place which I thought was cute lol. Menus and an explanation of specials, including specialty cocktails they were serving, were given as we started looking over our choices right after sitting down. Pretty much your run of the mill dining out experience. The overall menu does have a decent spread of options, ranging from salads to your classic "tavern" type food that would satisfy most peeps, but this place strikes me as one that's probably way more popular during dinner time. Either that or something that would induce a post lunch nap if you order anything other than a salad. I went with the blackened mahi sandwich and bf had the brisket sandwich. It didn't take long for the meals to come out and they both looked pretty appetizing, but man... my first bite was not what I was expecting. I've eaten mahi many times in my life and I don't think it has ever been as strong tasting as it was in this sandwich. The combination of ingredients didn't complement one another, in my opinion, and I just had an overwhelming sense of fishy flavor that my mind became hyper fixated on and what was ultimately what made me lose interest in my meal very fast. It may have been an off day, I may have just picked the wrong thing for myself, or something similar but it was not very good. I think I took two bites before throwing in the towel. Bf also wasn't a huge fan of his dish due to the massive amount of sauce on the sandwich; he felt like there was no other flavor outside of the tang of the bbq sauce. On the plus side, fries were good lol. Very hot when brought to the table and a good combo of crispy and fluffy. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but will no doubt be choosing something different!

Yelp
Very delicious bbq at ridiculous prices. I ordered 1 lb beef brisket to go. Over $37 not including tax. It does not come with any sides, just meat. I believe I received a pound which was enough to almost satisfy us two hungry hikers but did a double take when opening my to go container and seeing how little that actually provides for the price. The meat itself was super tender and flavorful, smoky and came with a great apple bbq sauce I loved. The food was not packaged well unfortunately. Some kind of greasy-liquidy sauce opened and spilled immediately in the bag and made everything a big mess. If I was a local I still think Id go back again because the food was amazing. Just stunned by the prices was the main caveat.

Yelp
First time review: The food came quickly and everything tasted great! It wasn't too loud on a Sunday evening and the service was fast and friendly! We had a sizable party and no problems.

Yelp
This is in the running for one of the best meals we had in Denver. They had a wide variety on the menu and everything we ordered was incredible. My favorite part? The gluten free brownie sundae, of course.

Yelp
Made reservations for 530 on Open table (didn't really need it for a Thursday). The place looks like a typical pub/bar from the outside and inside. The bartender/host seated us right way. Server was out quickly with a carafe of water for us. Food was great and totally unexpected bbq for being in Colorado. We ordered the pulled pork & brisket combo, mac n cheese, and buffalo wings. Hands down buffalo wings were the crowd favorite. Second was mac n cheese and brisket. Pulled pork was good but nothing too special. The bbq sauce for the wings were really good. You can get 2 different flavors per order of 8 wings. Overall great first meal in boulder. Casual fun place to go with friends for a few beers and good food.

Yelp
Checked out this restaurant tonight because the food online looked like what I would consider upscale bar food. We ordered the cornbread skillet, corn ribs, iceberg wedge, fried chicken sandwich buffalo style, and BBQ pork sandwich. The cornbread was good; I liked the jalapeño. The corn ribs were over-seasoned and very salty. The salad was okay, a typical iceberg salad. The bacon was mostly fat, so I didn't eat it. I didn't take photos of the sandwiches but both were not good and they were mostly bun and not enough meat. The fried chicken sandwich was basically a large chicken tender dipped in buffalo sauce and it was sitting on pickles that were over powering. The blue cheese on the bun was too pungent. Overall, the flavors on the sandwich were overpowering and didn't work well together. The service was good. We had a reservation, we were seated right away, and the waitress was friendly. I wouldn't recommend the food here.

Yelp
I think this place is known for their BBQ and pub style food. We didn't eat much here, but just a few small bites. What really stood out for me is the selection of spirits here. It's a pretty extensive selection in an unexpected, at least for me, place. In terms of food, I think whatever we ordered here was good. The service was friendly as well. It really does feel like you're in a dimly lit old school tavern here. OK now for the whiskey - I thought what they had for the flights was insane! Such a great value and great coverage for the different types. I got a ride whiskey flight that included Thomas H Handy for line $25. This was a few years ago, but good luck find that type of price including that whiskey. Also, prior to coming here, I swore off any scotch with heavy peat. Then I tried a small poor of the peat monster here, and it totally open me up to how peat can actually be good. Prior to coming into Boulder, we didn't do that much research. But when we got here, we knew that we wanted some small bites, and to drink some whiskey, ha ha. That's how we came across this place Boy were we glad that we did. It was perfect for what we wanted. Also full disclosure: we were only in town for a USC/University of Colorado football game and this was prior to the pandemic. So the flight selection has most certainly changed, and the prices are probably higher now. But if I ever come back to Boulder, I'm definitely taking this place out and it's at the top of my list.

Yelp
Great barbecue and rooftop spot in Boulder! It has a gluten bun for the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was so good! The service was quick and friendly. A great spot after a hike or exploring the area. I had a great time of the rooftop & all in all had wonderful gluten free options! I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Had to make a trip to Boulder for some errands so we met up with sone of the family for lunch. The place smells amazing and I had a hard time choosing between the fish n chips and bbq. I went with the fish n chips and I definitely cannot complain. Best I've had in a very long time. My sister ordered the pulled pork which was really good as well. She did get a side of the beans which I tried as well and were subpar. Only negatives would be the drink o menu and the service. The drinks were either really sweet or really whiskey forward, nothing in the middle. I would have asked for something custom from the bar but the waitress wasn't very attentive and never even asked if I needed another. We also made a comment about the non eaten beans but she said nothing and just took them away. Overall, she he food was good so I would totally come back.

Yelp
Sat upstairs at the bar... lot of TVs to watch the football game. Friendly service from the bartender. All the food was delicious. I enjoyed the loaded or bread with burnt ends. The cornbread has just a hint of jalapeño, and not hot at all. It also was moist which is so important for cornbread. The Mac and cheese is one of the best I've had. The pasta is cooked perfectly and it isn't too cheesy or runny. Topped with breadcrumbs. Yummy fresh fruit (apple) crumble with cinnamon ice cream.

Yelp
Walking through a nicely lit Bolder, CO, street scene at night, this narrow pub stood out amongst the many dining opportunities offered. Maybe because I'm a West Side of NYC native, but on second and third look, it was just very inviting. Not too much, not too little. So, my son and I decided to immediately head into there. Great atmosphere, the dark wood, lighting just right, and an amazing selection of bottles at the bar. It would take forever to read all the labels. We decided to try out their kitchen. Be aware that they have live music and people reserve tables for that, so come a bit early, or reserve. We shared the best Burnt Ends appetizer and each had a Tavern Burger with fries. The burnt ends were of amazing consistency, charred, but certainly still moist. The burgers, I like mine as rare as they can make it, we're perfectly done. The beef was so lean and tasty. Compliments to the chef for getting both orders exactly right. The fries were not greasy, but perfectly crunchy and still not dry. And I have to mention their house BBQ sauce, with that slight sweet touch in its flavor. I bought 8 oz of it to take home, I think that is a first for me. Sadly, while they sell it, they do not sell it in their labeled bottles ... maybe an idea for the future? Overall, a true gem in all the culinary offerings of Boulder. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, talented cook, outstanding food quality, large portions (neither of us could finish our meal and we took some home), very reasonabley priced. I will be back soon, and then make a reservation to listen to the live music too. You should give it a try as well ... I doubt you would be disappointed.

Yelp
I've been vegan for over a decade and have eaten here a couple of times over the years, I always appreciate that they have a few salads and burgers labeled vegetarian & vegan. Ate here with my husband and son today and it was 1/2 way through my impossible burger that I realized my burger was not impossible, and the staff confirmed it. They handled it by refunding our meal, but unfortunately I had already eaten 1/2 of it. I'm nauseated and disgusted and don't quite know what to do at this point. I really appreciate that West End labels their menu but it's very important that the kitchen steps up to be sure they are reading tickets correctly and even labeling alternative meats, etc. Much more needs to be done to be sure that this mistake doesn't happen. Although my meal wasn't something I had to pay for, I will be paying for this mistake forced on my for a long time.

Yelp
Delicious food, a fantastic, warm and wonderful sports bar!! The upstairs bar is our favorite place to sit, and the service as always friendly and efficient. We love this place‼

Yelp
Post-hike and feeling hungry, my fellow hikers and I made our way to The West End Tavern to grab some bites and bevvies to top off our adventures. SPACE: The West End Tavern is located off Pearl and 9th in the heart of downtown Boulder. There's ample street parking nearby. During our visit, a portion of Pearl St was closed to vehicles to allow for more patio seating for the businesses that operate there. Inside you get those cozy old school tavern vibes. Apparently there's a rooftop patio that sounds divine. Definitely going to check that out next time I make my way here. SIPS: Apparently we were all feeling pink-toned bevvies during our visit - which I'm not sad about in the slightest. My friends opted for a beer from Funkwerks and a nonalcoholic hibiscus cooler, while I chose the Pearl St Punch (gin, hibiscus, cucumber, mint, lime, soda). It was wonderfully refreshing with a hint of sweetness. SUSTENANCE: We chose to nosh on a wide variety of menu items. I opted for the beef brisket plate, while my friends chose the pulled pork and the smoked jalapeño and pepper jack burger. We all happily ate our deliciously prepared meals. We also chose to split a basket of fries too. Everything had great flavor. SERVICE: There were only two other tables there during our visit. Our server was also the bartender. He was super friendly and made great conversation throughout our visit. The West End Tavern was a great way to top off our Boulder hike-venture. I'll have to keep it in mind for futures visits.

Yelp
We met a buddy there earlier after a hike and found a hidden gem. The bourbon selection was incredible and very fairly priced. I had a pour of William LaRue weller and my buddy had George t Stagg and both were under $40. They also have michters 10, old forester birthday bourbon and a few other bangers. They also have a good beer selection. For food, my fiance and I split a barbacoa quesadilla, which was on special. It was giant and delicious. We also got to chat with the bartender who was cool and overall the staff was friendly. We are just visiting but I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
The brisket is so good! We loved sitting at the bar. The bartender was friendly, and the whisky selection was impressive!

Yelp
Worth every Penny. Great service, friendly energetic staff. Food was amazing, brisket melts in your mouth, their special barbecue sauces are perfect, the spicy one is so flavorful and has just the right amount of kick, everything was cooked to perfection, bread pudding was 10/10 and the atmosphere was very nice, smells good in here and is very well kept

Yelp
We were here visiting Boulder, and checked the reviews of local restaurants. West End Tavern was among the highest, and did not disappoint! The brisket was simply incredible, and the service was outstanding! Highly recommended!

Yelp
I have been coming here for their wings and sweet potato fries since college. They are reasonably priced, big portions, and delicious foods to pair with quality beer selections. They have a cozy, classic British pub vibe. Their service is quick and very attentive even though they are busy most of the time, which is very much appreciated!

Yelp
This place got raves from a friend so I was hoping it would live up to it. Unfortunately, it felt overrated to me for several reasons. We sat on the lovely rooftop. While most of the seats only have a view of another building, from one angle it has a gorgeous view of the mountains. See if you can sit there. The food is more "pub" then tavern. First off though, the draft selection was delish. I had an amber from Breck and I thought we were off to a good start. But then the server informed us that even though it was Friday at 615, the kitchen was running low on its seasoned fries. That's a bit odd but ok. We started with the burnt ends, a simple portion of bite sized meat. It was a bit dry though the dipping sauce had a good KC touch. My dining companion ordered a simple cheese burger medium rare. It was well done. Not ideal. I ordered the brisket sandwich which came with a very average portion of meat for a big price. The pickles on the sandwich were a miss for me and it again the meat was just too dry for me. And they did have fries but they couldn't have been the seasoned fries. They seemed like they were from the freezer and were tasteless. Service was friendly and responsive I felt like she deserved better than the average food she was serving. Overall, I was hoping for better from a menu that was pretty simple.

Yelp
Only had the sweet potato fries but they were delicious! Beer is easy to serve - kindness is easy too. Bartender had a lot on her mind and wasn't easy to engage.

Yelp
It has been several years since we last visited one of our favorite cozy spots in Boulder. Walked in on a chilly Sunday and was sat at table right by the front door opening. What was different this time was there no longer any cozy booths lining the wall. Sat for a while with what felt like there was no heat on in the place and ended up leaving. Just not the same. Shame.

Yelp
Mac and cheese is absolutely the last meal I would die happy having . The brisket and pork 10/10 the baked beans were so different and absolutely amazing in a the best way! Cornbread never had anything compared to it and will definitely be back for strictly that and everything else there!! So delicious and wholesome comfortable spot. Beware You will leave extremely full and happy!!!

Yelp
I had this Irish Red beer and it was hands down the best beer I've had. The Caesar salad was also fantastic and a great size. Solid service, great heated rooftop too!

Yelp
I take my coworkers here for lunch when I meet up with them on business trips to Boulder. You can't go wrong with the BBQ here. I'm from North Carolina, so I have high standards for BBQ. I've sat downstairs and on the roof. I recommend the roof on nice days and downstairs on the not-so-nice days. I'm not a big fan of their slaw; maybe it's the red cabbage. Their cornbread is interesting; give it a taste. Usually, I go for either their pulled pork or brisket. You can't go wrong with either one. My coworker recommends their burnt ends. Another colleague had their St. Louis ribs. They both look good.
