New Bay Area Restaurants: Bandit, Maker of San Francisco’s Best Breakfast Sandwiches, Opens Dogpatch Restaurant | Eater SF

"Taking over the former Cowgirl Creamery space in Point Reyes Station, this ferment-centric shop opened July 1 and brings fermentation production, pickled pepper ferments, and a takeout food counter led by Kendra Kolling (The Farmer’s Wife), with a focus on local brands." - Lauren Saria

Marina Pastry Pop-Up Butter & Crumble Is Opening a New Bakery in North Beach | Eater SF

"I see that the team behind Wild West Ferments opened in the former Cowgirl Creamery space on July 1, bringing West Marin Culture Shop and its ice cream floats to town, and that Kendra Kolling of grilled-cheese favorite the Farmer’s Wife will work a sandwich station at the new shop." - Paolo Bicchieri

How To Eat Your Way Through Pt. Reyes

"PERFECT FOR: PICNIC SUPPLIES || The agricultural darling of Pt. Reyes, Cowgirl Creamery left its small-town roots for an expanded space in nearby Petaluma. But the remaining outpost just around the corner from Bovine has everything you could need for an impromptu picnic in West Marin. In addition to their otherworldly cheeses (when in doubt, Mt. Tam), they have nice pre-made sandwiches and salads. For an easy hike to enjoy with your spoils, head out to Abbotts Lagoon, a quick 2.3 mile stroll to the beach." - calder silcox

Google
Really cute place with a variety of locally-made or sourced pantry items, cheeses, jams, meats, and more. Parking is free and pretty easy around the area! What really drew us to the place is The Farmer's Wife's new location! Kendra told us about it during our routine visit to their SF Ferry Building farmer's market booth, so we had to check it out - and the drive out to Point Reyes was 100% worth it. It's a section of the building and the menu has a lot of variety. We enjoyed our sandwiches immensely, as always, but the side salad that came with it was so good that we went back in and ordered a second salad to take home. Service was very friendly and we even got a couple of cookies to go too. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Google
Very fun spot to stop in. I didn’t think the seasonal fermented float was as good as the chronicle claimed but it was still very good. I think I would have liked it with the more flavorful chocolate ice cream as opposed to the fior de latte.

Google
Absolutely lovely local spot. There's cheese, wine, tons of pickled items (REALLY good kimchi!!), probiotic sodas, wool clothing, local art (seriously gorgeous botanical illustration!), soaps, and some of the most DELICIOUS sandwiches! highly recommend.

Google
The Farmer’s Wife has a location inside and not to be dramatic BUT the Belly & Jelly sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. The large side salad was also exceptional.

They have Wi-Fi in this store! It's a good spot to stop by, get some food, and get connected. I love the food here; you can't go wrong with the cheese. I enjoyed the Fromagea Trio sandwich.

The Farmers Wife sandwiches are off the hook! All local and so delicious. We had the trio grilled cheese and the chicken sandwich 10/10 and the owner is so sweet!

Google
Wonderful shop full of gourmet ferments, wines, cheeses, cured meats, and amazing wild sodas. The people are great and the food is top. The deli is yum and there’s also a yarn shop with local wool! This place has it all. Love it!

Yelp
I purchased the grilled cheese sandwich... It was a very basic grilled cheese sandwich. Nothing fancy. Slightly too greasy. The shop seems cool with a little more open space than I'm used to based on how the shop appeared when cowgirl creamery was in it, but I'm not sure how long this business has been here so maybe they are working to fill things out. I'll add photos. Good selection of natural wine. Friendly staff !

Yelp
We ordered two sandwiches just shy of $50 dollars. They looked like a greasy hot mess. Not appetizing or edible. It simply wasn't worth it and I wouldn't bother getting another sandwich there again.

Yelp
Spent 70 bucks on two mediocre sandwiches. Never making the mistake again. Price gouging at its worst. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
The sweet cream ice cream here is the best ever. So delicious. It was so creamy, sweet, and fresh. I would come back just for the ice cream. We got one and it was so good we bought another immediately. Joani (?) was really informative and friendly. They also sell really great coffee. The ice latte was delish. Will definitely try the cheese and meat next time too. Parking is a little difficult on the weekends, but is free.

Yelp
$28 sandwich LOL. If you go for just grilled cheese it's a snip at $19. I am sure it's very good.

Yelp
A real foodie paradise. Their house-fermented sodas are extremely delicious; I highly recommend getting one with soft serve to make it a float! Great selection of cheese, chocolate (get the Luisa Abram bars!!) and natural wine as well.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches, cheese, fermented fountain sodas, and saurkraut! It all tastes amazing.

Yelp
this place is so much fun! my kids love the fermented soda and my husband and I love the hot sauce! the service is friendly and knowledgable and I enjoy being able to see how the fermentation process works. it feels really special and unique. I have never been to any other place like it. it has a nice atmosphere.
