A quiet and classy spot. My New York Strip was savory with the sauce it was a buttery goodness. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and a salty savory! The service was white gloves without the gloves! The food was amazing but the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful what a change from the typical Manhattan chaos to dine. You get to enjoy your food and your guest and the conversation is easy to hear. It was a perfect meal and a perfect place I highly recommend it!!!

It’s a solid steakhouse in a friendly and comfortable place. What really touched me as a senior is that another customer needed help with his walker and they went out of their way to be accommodating and respectful. The steak was good, decent baked potatoes were delivered but the vegetable that stuck out was how they do their asparagus-simple and superb. The bread was hot and the onion soup was good. You might want to skip on the Caesar salad until better lettuce is available in the springtime. Wait staff was very nice.

The service is good, but I'm really disappointed with the food. We chose it because it had very good reviews, but we ordered Rib eye medium well done, which is not red, but a little pink, and it came completely raw. They sent it back and it was still raw, attached photo. I spent more than $200 on something that is not what I ordered and I still gave it a chance to correct it, but it's not worth it. A total disappointment.

Absolutely Fantastic Restaurant, staff were very attentive even though they were busy, the food was superb, the flavours were amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic. I had the bacon wrapped scallops to start, I would definitely recommend these as they were delicious followed by a 12oz NY strip steak with side of steak frites and sautéed mushrooms all of which was excellent.

Perfect. It's like a neighborhood joint, smaller, not loud or expensive. Friendly service, perfect Filet, rare plus! Best creamed spinach on planet earth. Oh, and warm pecan pie with Haagen Das to finish. Do yourself a favor...go!

We had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas dinner with some friends and clients. The atmosphere, food and service were exceptional.

What an amazing place. Our server was very attentive and polite. This is a charming little place with a great vibe. Definitely a good date night spot. (My dinner date was my daughter) We both had filet. Cooked perfectly. Quality is everything. The mules were great too. I had the baked potato. She had steak fries. We also had asparagus (best I've had) and broccoli. I definitely recommend Thai spot

Had a 8pm reservation for my birthday on a weekday. No issues whatsoever. My rib eye was so delicious, and cooked perfectly. The table had some wine sampling before deciding on a bottle. The ambiance was quiet, dark and attentive service. Overall 5/5 because I had a great time eating and celebrating here.

I was looking for a nice place for a birthday dinner and found this place. Ambiance was great, the lamb appetizer was amazing, the felt mignon was really good! And the mushroom risotto was incredible. My seat however was right in the path of the ventilation and was blowing on me the entire time. It wasn't a concern for me, but it did cause the food to cool quicker than I would have liked

So there is a caveat here. This is probably not the best steakhouse in NYC. However i had a 5 star experience here. And a pretty good steak. Came on a Saturday night. It was busy. But not crazy. Super friendly service. Had an espresso martini. Delicious. Slab bacon and tomato and onion. Bacon was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Braised pork shank with risotto. Not my go to. But it was very tasty. My friend got the Ny strip steak. Which was cooked properly. Could have used some finishing salt. But it was also pretty good. $200 with tip. And that was three martinis. Like i said. They were good. Good value for what you are getting. Recommended!

This restaurant was a diamond find. I had the fillet and couldn't finish because the portions are very large for the price. I got to meet the owner and he is so humble. I highly recommend this place. It's low-key amazing.

All I can say is wow! What a gem came on a Wednesday with some friends, and it was great from the food/drinks to the service. Our server, Nicholas, was wonderful, very kind, and professional. We ordered our drinks (aperol spritz, cosmopolitan, Russian mule, and negroni. We started with the shishito peppers, caesar salad, and a spinach salad with a bacon vinegarette. We shared a porterhouse (medium), mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, asparagus, and mushrooms. Everything was delightful . Serving size with all of us was perfect for 4 people. We wrapped up with the pecan pie (outstanding), key lime pie, chocolate martini, and frangelico. The decor was ok, I was a bit surprised based on the location. It was small and intimate, and I enjoyed that.

The crab cake is on point . Love the espresso martini. service was amazing. Place is clean . Bathroom is clean.

I visited on Christmas Eve, and must say this place was ran like well oiled machine. From start to finish, the service was incredible and the food came out in a very timely manner. The New York strip was exceptionally great, and honestly a very good price for NYC. We also got the sautéed onions and macaroni and cheese which were both great compliments to the main entree. The decor was very festive and made the experience even better. Despite it being busy, our waiter was very attentive and the staff really knocked it out of the park. The cocktails were also another highlight. If you're looking to get a steak in the Hell's Kitchen, this is certainly the place to do so!

Absolutely delicious! I came here on a Wednesday night after a convention for a work dinner. The food was perfect. The filet I ordered medium and it was actually medium. My coworker had the branzino and loved it. The cream of spinach side was the best I had. Potato wedges were very well cooked and crispy. Ribeye was also cooked and seasoned well. Shrimp cocktail is only 3 shrimp, but big ones. Scallop appetizer is 3 scallops but everyone adores them. The pepper appetizer too was a big fan favorite of the table. Drinks were good too! They have a good amount of liquor and their dirty martini and old fashion were spot on. The desserts- wow we had EVERY dessert. They were top notch. 100% will come back

The sides and drinks were great! We got the fried calamari and baked Mac and cheese, both of which were amazing. Got a bourbon smash, and it was delightful. We shared a ribeye steak and asked for it to be done medium, but received a nearly purple-in-the-middle and cold, rare-cooked steak. Asked them to please throw it back on the grill for a little bit, and it was returned with a medium-rare cook. Basically, charred on the outside, and raw on the inside. There was no seasoning to the steak whatsoever: no hints of salt or pepper, and was a letdown sadly. Nevertheless, our waitresss did come by consistently to grab us more water or help with the steak, and for that we were grateful.

We made it to our hotel from a day of travel and a scary cab ride. We were ready for a good meal...and we got it here! This is a hidden gem in the Manhattan area. It is small, quaint with high ceilings and music just loud enough to create a relaxing atmosphere and still be able to hear each other without shouting. Marta was our waitress and she gave us perfect service. We started with the Bacon Wrapped Scallops with a pesto sauce. Delectable!! The Moscow Mules were the best we've had. I had a Caesar salad leaving me wondering how I can recreate the dressing. My husband ordered the sea bass and me, the filet. We shared tastes and it was simply delicious! The sea bass and accompanying vegetables were cooked with subtle yet flavorful seasonings. The filet, 12 ounces, was cooked to my preference of medium despite the thick cut. We could not physically indulge in dessert because we absolutely cleaned our plates of everything. Thank you West Side Steakhouse for a truly memorable dining experience!

My friend and I were looking for a steakhouse for a nice dinner during our trip to New York City. We found West Side Steakhouse online, and we liked the menu/prices. It is pretty small inside, but I enjoyed the intimate feel. The employees were great even when we were 30 minutes late because of traffic. I ordered the chicken and shrimp served over garlic mashed potatoes, and my friend ordered the fillet. While we were waiting for our food, warm bread was brought out, which held us over while waiting for our entrees. I enjoyed my chicken and shrimp meal, but I absolutely loved my friend's filet. It was probably one of the most tender, juiciest fillets I've ever tasted. If I ever returned to this restaurant, I definitely would order the filet for myself as well. From the intimate interior, to the top notch service, to the delectable food... this restaurant provided us with a five star experience!

My coworkers and I ate here last night. They tried the ribeye and fish. On our server's recommendation, I decided on the braised pork shank over risotto. My meal was flavorful, tender, and paired excellently with her suggested Merlot. Other sides we had were the grilled asparagus, mac-n-cheese, and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted delicious!

No joke, one of the best dining experiences I've had. Food was incredible, service was great, drinks were amazing. Highly recommend.

Was in the city a couple days to meet a friend and really wanted a nice steak. We settled here and had a great meal. Good menu/ variety of options/ decent prices. I started off with an Aperol spritzer ($15). Then we shared a Bacon wrapped scallops appetizer that tasted amazing ($25). We devoured the scallops before anyone took a picture . The rib eye ($49) was cooked to perfection medium rare. I got a side of grilled asparagus ($12) that complemented the flavorful steak well. My buddy enjoyed his Grilled breast of chicken with sauteed shrimp ($35) that came with some garlicky mashed potatoes. We finished with a slice of Key lime pie ($10) and coffee ($3.50 each). All in all, a great meal to splurge a little on. I would definitely recommend this place.

I took my boyfriend here last night for his birthday dinner. I had made a reservation the day before. We were seated immediately. It was a 9pm reservation. And they did an amazing job off end of night!! Fred was our server and he was attentive, knowledgeable and excellent. We started with a glass of red wine, a beer (all bottles, no tap), the bacon wrapped pan seared scallops, slab bacon, and creamed spinach. For dinner we ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. Everything was brought out in a timely manner. We were also given fresh warm bread with individually wrapped butter. It was delicious. The slab bacon had a perfect char on it, so juicy and flavorful! 10/10. The bacon wrapped scallops were perfectly pan-seared. Delicious and juicy. Perfect size scallop and thin crispy bacon. There was a basil pesto sauce under them which enhanced the flavors. So good!! 10/10. The creamed spinach was very fine. Good but faint flavor. 7/10. The filet mignon is thick, juicy, and the perfect size. They cooked it perfect! It came out hot and it was melt-in-your mouth flavor. Wonderfully tender and salted.10/10. Highly recommended!! We finished with a pecan pie dessert with vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream and an iced americano (not on menu) and cappuccino. They surprised my boyfriend with a candle in the pie for his birthday! It was awesome!! I'm so happy they read my message on open table where I made the reservation saying it's his birthday. So, so happy!! The pecan pie was excellent and not overly sweet. 10/10. The vanilla Ice cream had specs of vanilla bean, love that it's fresh! So good 10/10. The cappuccino was excellent. Great flavor. 10/10. And he loved his iced americano they made just for him. 10/10. We loved our entire experience here! We appreciate that we didn't feel rushed even though we knew they all wanted to go home. Excellent service!! We will be back here again. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I were craving a steak dinner during our day trip to the city. We had a show to catch on Broadway in the evening, so we had searched some restaurants in the area with steak and come across West Side in our search. We were able to get an easy reservation. The restaurant was walkable from Broadway, which was super convenient and was in a nice area with lots of life around it to help us kill time before the show, after we finished dinner. Inside, it was small but nice. Had vintage New York City charm. We felt comfortable in casual attire, which was lovely. However, the restaurant still felt more upscale than your average, so people were coming in more dressed up, as well. Nicholas was our server and he was absolutely lovely. Service was quick and we appreciated his feedback on menu selections as we were torn between some of our options (especially sides!). We were impressed with every single item we got, between the two of us. My husband and I both throughout enjoyed our steaks. They were cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. My filet mignon cut like butter. The sides were equally as incredible. We especially loved the creamy, baked macaroni and cheese. The sauce was so outstanding that we actually finished our meal, dipping our steak fries into the remaining sauce (highly recommend!). The creamed spinach was another side to note because out of all of the high-end steakhouses we have visited in the city and in New England, this was hands down the best creamed spinach we have ever had. Pricing was reasonable, if not a great deal for the quality of food and the size of the portions. We really enjoyed our experience and would absolutely return.

I don't know why it has taken my husband and me so long to discover this gem of a restaurant as we live a few blocks away. We've been twice now in the past two months. The food is top notch. My husband had the steak and I had the grilled pork chops (I actually couldn't eat both chops so had lunch the next day). Besides the food, what makes the evenings so special is our server Fanny. She is so friendly and accommodating and we were lucky to have her serve us on both occasions. A couple of suggestions for the owners: include at least one vegetable with each main dish. It gets quite expensive to pay $9, $10 or $11 for a side dish. Don't put balsamic vinegar on your grilled asparagus; it takes away from the taste. And leave the tv off or change to a channel other than Fox News. We deliberately sat at a table so we didn't have to look at that for our entire meal.

Haven't went to a steakhouse/American restaurant in a while, and coming here, I'm reminded why. We ordered the mussels, pork shank w. risotto and a burger. The mussels were decent and the pork shank w. risotto was decent. However, the burger was the worse I've had had. I had requested that the burger be cooked medium rare and instead it came out rare. When I cut the burger in half, the burger was so rare that the bottom bun was soaked in blood liquid. On top of that, the server was rarely around, they took a while to serve the food and we had to wait a long while for everything.

Came here with a friend and we split the ribeye with peppercorn sauce, asparagus, mushroom risotto and chocolate lava cake. Portions were decently sized. The sides were flavorful. The dessert was delicious. My only issue was the steak being under seasoned but pairing it with the peppercorn sauce made up for it a little. Service was great. Waitress and bus boy were attentive and nice. We reserved for around 6pm on a weekday and it wasn't packed.

Randomly stumbled across this place, looking for dinner in Hell's Kitchen. Not too crowded, on a Sunday evening--we were seated immediately, choosing the outdoor space. The waitstaff was very attentive and the food was good. I had the baby back ribs. The portion was great. Enough that I had to take half of it home, which they boxed up for me with no problem. It's a bit on the pricier side but it's a steakhouse. That's to be expected. Will, most definitely, return.

The desert was amazing, and the food was appropriate and tasty. Service here is attentive and polite, easy-going, and informative. Small and cozy environment if an intimate experience what you're looking for but a party of six is easily accommodated.

This place was so nice I had to review it twice. Last time I got a burger and fries to go and it was amazing, probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. This time I went with my favorite cut of steak which is ribeye with fries. Once again the food was absolutely positively delicious. The steak was well seasoned, and super thick yet tender. The fries were great as well. My friends got filet mignons and they said it's probably the best steak they've ever had. As far as my ribeye it was amazing but definitely not the best I've had. As far as service, it was a little bit on the slow side but hey I won't complain, it's a fairly upscale spot and they want to get things done right. As far as spacing, it is a little bit cramped. Parties are kind of on top of one another. I had a party of four and right behind us on our back was a party of like 6. I'll say the food, cleanliness and staff friendliness edges out the 5 stars from me

I was contemplating giving 4 stars, but considering that this is a steak house, it could have done a bit better with the most important part of the meal - the steak. We started off with an espresso martini, which was good, and a bottle of red, the Unshackled - enjoyed both very much. The bacon was actually amazing and I would totally come back just for that! The tomatoes and onions were simple (I mean there's nothing much to that), but I love tomatoes and I loved that it came with a steak sauce! Now here comes the steak. We ordered a porterhouse medium rare. Initially I had asked also for horseradish but the waiter said they didn't have any so we got bearnaise sauce... I thought it was strange because what steakhouse doesn't have horseradish? Once the steak arrived, it was a shame that my medium rare was well done on the outside and rare on the inside. Even after having a few bites, you could taste the dryness from the outer layer. As much as I hate to say this, but it wasn't cooked evenly to the right temp and probably thrown on a high flame quickly which is why it ended up being "black and blue." It was literally like a medium well done outside and a rare inside in my opinion. At the end of the meal I ended up asking another waiter if they indeed did not have horseradish. He mentioned that our waiter was new and apologized for that. We took our rare pieces home and got the horseradish to go as well. If the steak was cooked perfectly, it would have been 5 stars from us. If it were a regular restaurant, 4. But because it's known to be a steakhouse, unfortunately thats why I dropped it down to 3.

This place is ok. Extremely slippery floor so if you do decide to dine here I would suggest something with a grip. We sat down quick without a reservation which was nice. I made a new friend.... A huge roach walking next to the table. Unfortunate. Martinis. No. Not the place for a good martini. Burger was ordered medium... received it after about 25 minutes and well done. I was too hungry to take it back so I made the mistake of eating it. Definitely hard to digest. Good meat quality regardless. Service, great. Server, incredibly accommodating. Very nice staff. The bug... The bad martini... and the thought that I should've just gone to bare burger.

This place was excellent!!! I chose it based on proximity to our hotel and that my husband didn't want to do his hair and wear a baseball cap . We were extremely pleased!!!!! Our filet mignon steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them and it was big filet for the price! Our daughter got the ribs and they were so tender and delicious. Their wine and cocktail selections were very good as well.

Everything was amazing- from the fresh baked bread, to the steaks, to the crazy creamy mashed potatoes, to the skillet Mac n cheese- definitely coming back next time I'm in town! Oh, and the prices were very reasonable-

Yay steak! Me and my partner wanted to do outside seating and the patio they have in front is so cute with the lights! I got the Moscow mule as a cocktail and ribeye, and my bf got Prosecco drink and lamb chops. We both got medium rare. The lamb was amazing! So good and tender. I liked my ribeye too and was so full at the end. We also got mashed potatoes and fries as sides. I loveddddd all the garlic flavor they gave in the mashed potatoes. Definitely did not have room for dessert but I wish we did!!! A go to steakhouse in NYC. I really liked our waiter too!

Great ambiance! This is one of those sleeper places that will pleasantly surprise you. The steak was delicious and flavorful. If you are looking for a great place to have dinner before a broadway show, this is it!

Good things first: The food and drinks are amazing. I had a New York Strip with blue cheese. The steak was cooked right and the blue cheese had clearly gone under the broiler because it had a crispy brown crust that just took it to 11. The creamed spinach was also very good, and I had an excellent Manhattan. Attentive service, too. Now the bad: A steakhouse needs to have rock-solid tables, because of all of the cutting. We had a wobbly table, which made it very difficult to cut our steaks without spilling our drinks. But that's a minor complaint at a place I was otherwise very happy with.

Fantastic place! Food, staff and space was fantastic. Apps and sides were all perfect! Good crowd but seating was nicely done so you could hear dinner conversations! We had a party of 12 and the service and timing of food was on the mark. Super spot!

My wife and I have been to West Side Steakhouse two times. The first time we enjoyed great food and service. Unfortunately, when we returned tonight to celebrate my wife's new job, the food was okay and the service was terrible. For Food: We ordered the Shishito Peppers, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, The 45oz Porterhouse for Two, Mushroom Risotto, Asparagus, and Baked Potato. The Peppers really had no flavor other than char from the grill. The Scallops, Risotto, and Asparagus were delicious. The Porterhouse was good but was medium rather than the medium rare we requested. If a Steakhouse can't get temperatures correct, that is a problem. The baked potato had nothing going on with it and is comparable to something you could make in a microwave at home. For Service: The service was terrible all around. We saw our waiter only a few times during the meal. The times we did see him he forgot our requests for straws and refills of my soda. This was especially frustrating because he was standing around talking to other servers while not bringing what was requested. Then, to make matters worse, when we were getting our leftovers boxed, we specifically asked to have the bone from our $99 Porterhouse boxed with our food. When we got home, we found out that this request was not honored. Next, when I called to talk to our manager about our poor experience, I was told that he was too busy, that I couldn't hold for him, and that I needed to call back between 930 and 10pm. There was no apology for the inconvenience or offer to take my information to call me back. Finally, on their door ,they indicate that they are going to check both vaccination cards as well as photo ID for inside dining. While they did check for our vaccination cards, they didn't check ID'S. So, they are telling customers one thing about their safety measures and doing another. All in all, even though we live only a 6 minute walk away and love supporting local businesses, we will not be returning to Westside Steakhouse because they clearly value profits over their customers.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR STEAK. WHAT A WASTE of $200 down the drain. Overly priced steak which is NOT AGED, but rather bland as if it was bought from Trader Joe's. No flavor, slow service and the place was empty. Trust me when the restaurant has no people, don't bother going. For rib eye it was not worth $50 each. It was cooked so poorly, the server didn't even offer to remake the steak. DO NOT RECOMMEND. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. WORST STEAK IN NYC

This is a grade D+/C- steakhouse. I went here with a date at a reserved time and they sat us in the back at a table next to the restroom. So, the entire night it smelled like cheap restroom soap as people went in and out. The place is also so cramped that people kept stepping on my feet as they walked to the restroom. Secondly, the service was pathetically slow on a Friday night. I had to stand up and go look for a server to take our order. Then I had to stand up and go look again when I needed some bread. Then, I had to stand up and go look for the server a third time when we needed the check. The owner is also a joke. He knows his restaurant isn't that good so he doesn't go to tables and ask them how the service is- as any usual owner would do. He blindly walked by my table without even looking at us as he made his way to use the bathroom and on his way out of the bathroom. He's just getting ready for his next Fox News appearance and trying to get the place ready to impress all the Fox News hosts who host parties there. The steaks were not cooked well. It was obvious that they were just thrown out of the kitchen as fast as possible and they didn't even let the steak rest for 30-60 seconds (the bus boy delivered them to my table). They also served mine medium rare when I requested medium. It's just not a good place. I will never go back. My suggestions in the area if you want a good steakhouse: Del Friscos, K Rico, Strip House, Gallagher's, and Keen's.

Yummy Bloody Mary with plenty of horseradish. Warm bread. Decent porterhouse, creamed spinach, and mushrooms that all needed a little bit more juice. We will go back and try more things. Good prices and service.

We were in the mood for steak for dinner and just did a quick search. We found this one, read the reviews and figured we would take a chance. It was delicious! My daughter and I got the lamb chops. They were absolutely delicious! The service was excellent. And the restaurant itself is small cozy and perfect.

Anywhere you can get in and out for under $75 bucks with a full steak, 3 sides and a drink, tax, etc. This is the best bang for your buck of any steakhouse I've been to in NYC. No rip offs here, just honest people running an honest establishment. Also great when I ordered in (through yelp) just a month before. Do it. everything, all the sides, specifically creamed spinach, garlic mash, and the mac n cheese. Just brazy. *chefs kiss*

Minus 1 star for playing Fox "News" at the bar. Decent steak and burger. Not as good as other steakhouses in the city but better pricepoints and less crowded.

New York Strip Steak was fine, but they thought me of as a Uber Eats driver at first. lol. Not that rare enough. They provided me with horseradish unlike the review.
