Beer was great and the open atmosphere was really nice. Everything opens to the outside and I bet it's even nicer on a cool day. The modern design is really cool. There's a nice fire pit, I'd like to sit around when it's cool out. I wish more of their gear indicated CO Springs because I like to pick up brewery gear from all the places I visit. The Jamaican food truck they had parked outside at the time was really good as well.

Google
What a terrific brewery to kill 1.5 hours waiting for your casa bonita reservation to start. I drank an urban lumberjack ipa and then to really mix it up from an ipa, I tried the hop garden double-ipa. I liked them both but preferred the hop garden one. They only had popcorn for food. I think a food truck was warming up too. But I did t want to fill myself up before cb. Last thing, this was surprisingly a Buffalo Bills backing bar.

Allison D

Google
Love coming here for the Buffalo Bills games! The staff are so friendly and provide awesome service throughout the game. The beers are really delicious too (and have fun names). They have a great patio to enjoy. Go Bills!

David Sanden

Google
A group of us stopped by and I am so glad we did! The service was friendly and we tried nine different beers and all of them were either above average or excellent. I am so happy to hear they are opening a second location in Colorado Springs. I can't wait to come back.

David Empey

Google
Possibly the best brewery in Colorado. Tasty beers, great service, and in the shadow of Casa Bonita. Kelsee is the best bartender we have ever met. We are grateful she was here for us today!

JMPJOSE

Google
Great spot for a cold one. They have a good selection of beers and food. Did not try the food on this visit, just the beer. Place has plenty of sitting and great staff. Good location next to other restaurants. Cool decor in restrooms that I had to share on my review.

Whit Breeden

Google
Truly one of the crown jewels of the Denver, nay, the Colorado craft beer scene. Some of the best IPAs in the state and just a really great brewery overall. Keep in mind once Matt and Trey's place opens later this Summer, this will be a mad house so get here soon! Thanks, guys!

Erin Price

Google
Awesome brews, great staff & vibes! No kitchen, so they’re dog friendly inside and out. There’s always a food truck outside though! Kelsee and Kevin were super friendly and had great recommendations. Definitely check them out!

Crystal R.

Yelp
One of our favorite drinks is Peaches Be Crazy! This place is so fun with the very best people working here serving and the owners are fantastic! For those who know us, we're originally from Northern New York (Massena, to be exact), and I was born into a BILLS family . It's fun to run into other people from NY! We can't wait to come back again soon and highly recommend you pop in, whether it's Bills season or not. They often have live music and comedy and Ryan and I both highly recommend you checking this place out!

Lauren A.

Yelp
Not a huge beer fan but had to check this place out because of the views of casabonita (if you can't get a reservation just pretend, right?) tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly! The sour beer I tried was really good.

Edie A.

Yelp
Interesting place for a microbrewery. It might be missed if you weren't so focused on Casa Bonita. I had their Tears of our Enemies which was a nice dark beer. Chill, laid back place to enjoy a variety of brews.

Janet D.

Yelp
Being at Westfax Brewing is the best spot to wait for Casa Bonita to open with a Mexican Lager that's called the "Line Starts Here." Pink cans no less; obviously to match the infamous neighbors color. Or plant yourself in their front patio and just people-watch while sipping their Flagship IPA CALLED Urban Lumberjack. The only IPA on draft that @casabonitaofficial will be pouring. Or try my new favorite Strata Outta Colfax. A hazy DIPA! It has a 9%ABV! Waiting for Casa Bonita's opening date announcement a bit more tolerable with their #2flight. Four samples that I lean towards more. But I'm no expert. You do you! WestFax opened its doors on March 2nd, 2016, Lakewood's 4th brewery was born (and the first ever on West Colfax Avenue). Within it's first 10 months they brewed 250 barrels to 751 in 2022. Flight #1: Line Starts Here Mexican Lager  Pilleve Italian Pilsner Urban Lumberjack Hazy IPA Mixed Berry Fruitshake Smoothie Sour Flight #2: Cilantro Lima Blonde Ale Sandy Sunglasses Hazy IPA Strata Outta Colfax Hazy DIPA Hometown Coffee Stout

Yelp
I don't understand why folks wait in line at casa Bonita next door, when they could escape the heat and have a drink here before their reservation. This brewery has a good selection of rotating beers with beertenders that are knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to catch the Bills games in the fall or just hang out with some friends on this side of town.

Trish A.

Yelp
It's been a while since we've been here. It was fun to see the progress of Casa Bonita. They added more outdoor seating. Good beer.

Eddie C.

Yelp
This was my final stop on a night of brewery hopping. I came just before closing time and the bartender was nice enough to let me order a flight. Out of my four beers three were a hit. The only one I didn't like was the Mexican lager. Only complaint is that I would like them to write which beer is which. I'm pretty good at being able to tell the difference and distinguish flavors but after having been at four other breweries that night I was close to being tapped out. I had to ask the bartender which was which one two of them. But, this is a good place with good beer. Highly recommended.

Dana W.

Yelp
Service was NOT ok. Like the female blonde bartender went out of her way to be especially rude. Me I ordered a drink I thought was too syrupy, so I walked up to order a new one and she charged me after making sure to look around me multiple times to let me know there was a line and I was bothering her. She then acted like I've never had a beer before, mind you I'm 43 and I am familiar with beers.. and tried to explain to me that the beer I ordered was supposed to be syrupy. That might be the case, but it was the same consistency as pancake syrup, so I apologize that I did not wanna drink that, did not appreciate the attitude and will never ever ever return 100% because of your attitude. You charge me $10 for a drink to watch me take a sip and get right back in line. NEVER hace I had any other brewery do that and at least let me sample beers, but not this girl. She did not like me for whatever reason and was abundantly clear.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Close to living areas. Easy to grab a drink and there was a food truck the evening. Also close to Casa Bonita.

Lorraine R.

Yelp
Great beer and very friendly server, Carrie is the best. West Light Lager -clean and crisp, Line Starts Here - bright, Mexican Lager, 40 West IPA (very piney), Spirit Guide Number 15 IPA, Bootylicious - blueberry wheat. Food truck available to feed those hungry. Also has roll-up doors to bring a little outside inside. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Dogs are allowed inside. Diverse playlist to entertain your ears.

Mateo E.

Yelp
While yes, it's on Colfax like a host of other breweries, that's America's longest street. WestFax feels like it's in a different dimension than the likes of its East Colfax counterparts. The unique, somewhat surreal patio view of Casa Bonita should be a draw on its own. Maybe not, but no matter. Westfax delivers the essentials of a great taproom experience--great beer, a welcoming, comfortable space, and knowledgeable, friendly service. Today, we got a ticket for the pictured flight, fare $12.50,. We chose a patio table over sitting inside, but either setting is roomy and chill. Strata Outta Colfax, a hazy DDH double IPA featuring strata hops, was the best brew today, with a silky mouthfeel and as much strata goodness as I could stand. A blackberry lemon sour was crisp, fairly clean, and definitely hit the spot. Black Diamond Imperial Stout boasts roasty chocolate notes, but was just ok. The bartender was friendly and efficient. People around us looked happy. This is not your everyday strip mall experience. Check it out. Maybe you'll see Eric Cartman waiting outside next door.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Had a Sunday Funday at Westfax Brewing complete with Bingo and a lobster food truck. Amazing service, great beer!

Nilda L.

Yelp
Service sucked. Make sure you do not stop at this location. The bartender was very rude and didn't smile, she had an attitude problem. She would get upset when I asked for a taster.

Alden C.

Yelp
I believe I heard statistics that about 20% of the population feels like cilantro tastes like soap. It seems to be a genetic situation of the taste buds. I never had this experience and had a mild obsession for cilantro years back. Whenever I made tacos there would always be cilantro involved. Still enjoy that herbal freshness in a bite with my dish. So when I saw that Westfax had a cilantro lime beer I simply couldn't pass it up. As far as I can recall I don't think I've had a cilantro beer before. I'm very grateful that Westfax brewed it and was daring enough to make it for the risk of some thinking it tastes like soap. So thank you for not tip toeing and making something unique! I really enjoyed the Lime and Cilantro beer and would be perfect with tacos or even with a burrito or nachos. The lime zest and flavoring I felt balanced the cilantro flavor quite well. I'm glad I got to try this beer and additional kudos to Westfax for this experimental type beer. It's something I always am looking for in a brewery!

Lindsay M.

Yelp
I've been coming to Westfax since last year and it just is such a homey brewery to post up at. Staff are always friendly, location is prime and the beer is great. My fondest memory was the bills playoff game with the buffalo wings food truck, place was packed and it was overall super fun. Don't miss out on this brewery, when visiting be sure to add to your list! I've always appreciated the great service here and will enjoy coming back.

Yelp
In a sea of microbreweries, WestFax deserves a seat at the table. Nestled next to Casa Bonita, WestFax cranks out very tasty microbrews in a part of town one might typically neglect. I actually go to the Planet Fitness in the same plaza, and recently discovered WestFax was in walking distance. It's a hidden gem! Call me hazy, but I'm a not-so-secret admirer of the NE IPA movement over the last few years. WestFax brews one called the Urban Lumberjack. It's juicy, tropical, and utilizes six hop varietals. Flannel not required for this hoppy giant, but trust me it'll sneak up on you. They boast a rather small tap list, though it appears they're concocting fresh creations on a weekly basis. As for the space, it's relatively simple with four top tables, high tops, and a few couches. When it's not too chilly, the small patio is an option. Plus, DOG FRIENDLY! I recommended this spot to a friend for a space to cowork the other day. Football in the background with a tasty brew in tow, while catching up on emails? Yeah, it was an easy going Sunday. Thanks for the vibes, WestFax!

Stephen P.

Yelp
Having a wide range of styles on offer is becoming harder to find at breweries, as many find a niche to focus. But we chose this one because the choices spanned from blueberry wheat to a few IPAs to a stout, and everything we tried was very good. Pretty classic hipster brewery decor, with lots of wood and an exposed industrial touch, despite being in a sort of run down strip mall adjacent to the worst Mexican food in the US. Comfy couch, lots of tables, and very shaded patio. The server was friendly and prompt. I heard another customer ask her, "What do you have that's like Bud Light?" -- extra credit for handling that one well.

Dale Z.

Yelp
WestFax has continued to be ahead of the curve during these trying times. The beer is excellent, the people are great, the atmosphere is wonderful, the place is super dog friendly, and the hygiene protocols are beyond reproach.

Carly W.

Yelp
Dear Westfax Brewing Company, There's so much I love about after just one visit; I just don't even know where to start! Your beertenders were so incredibly friendly. They made wonderful conversation and helped assure us that splitting one of your bottle brews was a phenomenal choice. Your beers were not only creatively named, but killer in flavor too! I sipped on Sunny with a Chance of Unicorns (saison) while Marissa C. opted for Snuggle Bunny (coffee stout). Both were amazing! I had a bit of beer envy over the rich chocolaty coffee flavor of the stout. However my saison had some killer tropical fruit flavors. Yum! We then split a bomber of Silently Judging. Whoa! That Laws Bourbon barrel aged nectar of the Gods is what dreams are made of - rich with vanilla, caramel, coconut, and chocolate notes. Mmm... The things a stout-lover's dreams are made of! Your taproom is perfect. It caters to groups of all sizes. Whether you're there to have a couple beers with friends, craft, or play some board games; you're bound to feel right at home! I just love the reclaimed wood mountains and local art you use to adorn your walls. Plus, the hop pillows on the couch are the sweetest touch! Westfax Brewing Company - I am smitten with you! I can't wait to return and sample more of your tasty brews. Perhaps next time I will bring my pup to accompany me. After all you are dog-friendly! With all my beer-loving heart, Carly "Gimme All The Beers" P.

Susan M.

Yelp
The staff is more often rude than not everytime I have gone in. The tenders have an attitude. My friends along with myself were treated like an inconvenience. We were in there a hour before closing. One girl was training and awesome. However trainer was rude and short with us tonight, this was my tipping point. Then there was 2 other employees hanging out, which I didn't have problems with interaction wise. Another issue was there happened to be another person in there (not an employee) they should be thankful they are getting business. This bothers me since I am familiar with how tight the brewery industry is. I didn't feel like family or like they appreciated us not going elsewhere. Also we went to Casa Bonita next door, you should appreciate the business. Next time I am going to more appreciative breweries that know customer service. Even if this is convenient, there are much better breweries around. I understand this is a Buffalo bar, but I expect this crap service from a dive bar, not a brewery, the attitude that was received. Maybe the tenders shouldn't feed off the attitude that comes off of being a Bills bar. Thanks but no thanks after many tries. I am surprised it's still open.

Maria E.

Yelp
Cool brewery. Great place to come wash the taste of Casa Bonita from your mouth (it's next door). There was a food truck parked outside when I came. Found a sour beer on their menu (That's My Jam) and it was tasty. Dogs welcome so there are adorable pups everywhere. Friendly staff.

Mo C.

Yelp
Just a solid, local brewery. They always have a nice variety of styles on tap. I am a hop head, so there is always a tasty IPA or two to try. There is plenty of parking. Every time I have been here there has been a food truck on site. And they have great events like "keep the glass night" and free comedy shows.

Robin M.

Yelp
I did a flight of 4 and although the beer was good, I can't believe a flight costs $15- seriously outrageous

Pmcnulty15 ..

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries in Denver. Always have something new that is delicious, along with their staple of good beers. Great place to stop in for a beer or two or grab some bombers to go.

Shar S.

Yelp
Came here for a pup-friendly Yelp! Elite event tonight, and was highly impressed. This place packs a punch to be so tiny! The staff was super friendly, the beer was good (and a great variety), and furry friends are [always] welcome. There's a nice patio to enjoy the weather and scenery as well. We'll definitely be back!

Autumn E.

Yelp
Premature pumpkin beer! Order it while they still Have it. Awesome brewery and it's next to casa Bonita what more do you need. James was our brew master and he was awesome letting us taste and recommended some awesome brews. We will be back!!!

Glenn G.

Yelp
Seems to be a good bar with a good layout not sure the beers there this IPA drinker games play games play families coming out to get juice boxes so I guess there's a few things are good and it does have an outside patio have to search the farthest to the menu beer menu

Dhyia T.

Yelp
I would say I've been beer-agnostic for quite sometime. And usually accompany my good friend who is a beer expert. When ordering flights she typically selects the beers she thinks I will tolerate the most. So of course, she was my plus 1 to an awesome Yelp Elite event cause I wanted to bring an expert. Well, she loved it and she recommended three beers to me and for the first time ever, I was ready to purchase a glass of the Inside Joke AND Colfax Cream Ale. Also, the IPA wasn't too hoppy too. I was super impressed with not only the beer, but the hospitality of the owner. He's a real community guy and shared his passion for neighborhood and the commercial coming into the area. There was an cool food truck parked outside selling delicious sandwiches and that guy was great too. Plus I mean...come on, it's right next to the legendary Casa Bonita! Bring your dog, friends, kids and your love of craft brewskis (is that beer slang still any good?). Westfax won't disappoint.

Brittany C.

Yelp
This cozy taproom has yummy beers and is super dog friendly - there were as many pooches as there were people when we visited on a Sunday afternoon. It's a bit hidden in a strip mall next to Casa Bonita and has a small outdoor patio, board games, and popcorn for sale. Friendly service and a fun place to visit with friends and our pups!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Great beers and decent food truck outside but watched multiple people looking through car windows and trying to get into vehicles. Will not be back unfortunately solely due to the bad location.

Chun G.

Yelp
My fiance and I love visiting the breweries around Denver. This one had always caught our eye, but we never had a chance to stop by. But we are sure glad that we did! This is a dog friendly brewery that let's your buddies hang out in the tap room. We brought our pup and she had a good time meeting some of the other dogs that were there. However the beer here is definitely amazing. Very full bodied, well flavored, and unique recipes. We shared a flight paired with a popcorn tasting at the time. The tap room is pretty spacious and would definitely come back here again!

Shea S.

Yelp
I have high standards for breweries, of which many new(ish) breweries often fall short of. Not the case here. Really well done brews and nice laid-back atmosphere with friendly and dedicated staff. Their Urban Lumberjack NE IPA can hang with the best of them. But they have something for everyone, ranging from hoppy to malty, dark to light, and typical to unique. Honestly, very pleasantly surprised. Have been several times in the past month, and will continue to visit when in the area.

Andrea S.

Yelp
WestFax was a great little brewery right near Casa Bonita. They have a beautiful wooden mountain scene on the wall and great decor. I'm not a big beer fan, other than sours which they don't have, but my husband said they were definitely 4 star beers. Will definitely have to go back so he can try more of them!

Julie F.

Yelp
Great place to stop in for some beers. Located right next to Casa Bonita.... sharing for landmark purposes only. They do a great job here switching beers up but you can count on the staples like blootylicous. Amazing blueberry beer, you need to try it! Recently discovered that they televise buffalo bills games. They always have a great food truck parked outside. Great hidden gem in Lakewood. Look forward to spending many fall Sunday's here. Cheers! And Let's go buffalo!

Jenny D.

Yelp
Had a fun time playing cards and drinking the local brew. The bar tender was extremely helpful in my selection.

Ellewynn T.

Yelp
By far my favorite brewery in the Lakewood area. Ambiance was relaxed and not pretentious. Bartenders were kind and didn't mind answering questions about the beer. Enjoyed a double IPA and I can't remember what my partner had but he enjoyed it very much. Found this brewery perfect because it was a Friday evening but not overwhelmingly busy. We made some friends who had a bulldog next to us. Enjoyed playing scrabble from their board game selections! Parking was convenient and the playlist set a very chill vibe. There was a food truck available outside if you got hungry. The cuisine that night was Indian. VERY DELICIOUS. Can't wait to go back!!

Sabine M.

Yelp
The beer is ok. Our favorite was the Coffee session. A delightful surprise. Unfortunately we could not hang out here. The music was so loud it was like being in a night club. It was a Sunday at 2 pm. The music was so loud it was painful to hold a conversation. Know your audience. Customers in the tap room were in their late 30's and 40's. We are OVER the loud music! I even made a comment to the gal behind the bar. She was oblivious. Too bad. We won't be back.

Christopher B.

Yelp
I didn't know this place existed until a friend recommended it. It was a pretty nice atmosphere and pretty full for a week night. I did my standard - asked for 3 tasters and saw what they recommended. All of the options were really nice and I'm curious to come back again to try a few others. This place definitely has potential and has a benefit (IMO) that it's away from a lot of other breweries so it could draw on the local crowd.

Andy C.

Yelp
I was in Denver for a conference and had some down time to check out the local beer scene. I basically picked this place out of a hat and am so grateful I did. The beers were excellent. I had the 40 West IPA and the BA Concussion Protocol (which kicked my butt) and both were legit. The owners were there and were really cool down-to-earth people who love their beer. I had a great time talking with them and the other regulars at the bar. The food truck outside was on-point (can't beat a good Arepa) and the atmosphere was just right for a chill place to hang and enjoy some good libations. If you're in the Denver area and looking for some good beers, I definitely recommend giving this place a shot.

Sara C.

Yelp
Westfax quickly became my favorite Denver area brewery. The variety of beers is good and I have many favorites including the Tears of our Enemies, Urban Lumberjack, and the Amber. If you don't find one you love the first time you visit, they frequently rotate certain beers, so it's worth a second visit! The prices are reasonable, especially with the Tuesday deal where one beer is selected as the $3 pour for the night. They have a lot of events, including comedy shows and trivia, and there's almost always a food truck during the warmer months. They are also really cool about letting you bring in food that you might order from the surrounding restaurants - there's a Chicago style dog and beef place across Colfax that's really good. The bartenders, James and Austin, always provide great service and are just really nice, cool people. They also have a nice loyalty club.

Malone M.

Yelp
The pup and I stopped by WestFax for a beer today during the broncos game. One couple reading the paper and a single girl sipping a beer watching the futility on the screen. But we just sat outside and chilled with our beer. I have been here before and came for the Colfax cream ale which is a personal favorite. They are having a dark beer event so I pulled a 180 and went with the mango habanero stout. It just sounded like the most interesting beer on the menu. The beer is a success. Dark in color with a creamy tan head, it's very appealing at first glance. The flavor was very good. It's not too malty as I find some dark beers and balanced some sweetness of the mango and had a nice back of tongue after kick from the chili. 4 stars - would recommend

Jesse C.

Yelp
Great brews! Great games and GREAT ENVIRONMENT! I even love the names of the beers " 40 West IPA " is what I chose! Came in a tulip type of glass! Super fancy!!!! I can hear the waterfall from Casa Bonita, & it sounds lovely! Nice experience! Oh yeah!!!!!! DOGS WELCOMED

Laurie F.

Yelp
amazing! Fair choice of beers that are very well balanced..i lived the blueberry something, it was actually a med purple color!!, and hubby fell in love with the 99 problems ipa. Even left with a crowler of the latter! We are lucky enuf to score seats on the couch by the front door and just watch the world go by! Great relaxing atmosphere.. we WILL return!

Ben W.

Yelp
Really solid beer. The specialty beer options were different, but not too over the top. The limited edition tart cherry cream ale was delicious as well as the half and half tears of our enemies mixed with the nitro stout. Could use some more board games (I may have just missed them) or something else to entertain yourself. Will be back.

Shane T.

Yelp
Very good selection of beers on tap and a pretty cool setup. Small patio area but connected to the building with garage doors which was nice to be able to hear the stand up comedy show that they were hosting. I believe it's the 3rd Saturday of every month. Food truck was available but they were packing up as we got there and WestFax said they only serve their pizzas on Mondays & Tuesday's. I assume the reason one is they have food trucks on the other days.

Gordon F.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of this shopping center, so I usually come in and pick up some beers to go. The cilantro lime ale was a favorite from the summer. The blueberry wheat was tasty, but I've tried a couple other beers that I wasn't a fan of. I like how open the layout is inside, and they have games!

Christopher H.

Yelp
Dropped in for some happy hour brews on the recommendation of a friend. The tap room has plenty of seating and a good variety of options on tap, including a black IPA that I don't believe I've seen anywhere before. After sampling a flight and couple pints, I can say my two faves were the Short and Wide (Stout) and Tears of our Enemies (Scotch Ale). Props to one of WestFax's founders, Anthony, who chatted with me for a couple of minutes at the bar. Very personable. He mentioned they are celebrating their one year anniversary next month with a big party. Congrats!

Kellen A.

Yelp
Been in Denver for several months now and have been trying as many places as I can. This is my favorite local haunt. Love the atmosphere, they almost always have a food truck, and the staff is genuine and knowledgeable. One of the few places that doesn't only serve IPA instead they have something that appeals to a variety of tastes and palettes. Keep up the good work!

Hector B.

Yelp
Well...I went w. my lovely wife yesterday late afternoon. We wanted to see Casa Bonita, but it was weird maze. We noticed Westfax and thought - Why not! GREAT CALL. Their beers were VERY good - we did a flight of 5 beers (std 4 + 1). Their cilantro lime was amazing. We are literally headed back today to get a full pour of it. The rest of the beers were good as well, but it's a treat to have ONE WINNER that pulls people back in. I'll try a few more today, but I was impressed.
