Dear [Santa Photo Stand Management/Team], I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at your Santa photo stand, which unfortunately fell short of the joyful atmosphere that I had anticipated. We were excited to create a magical moment for our children, but I was disappointed by the unwarranted rudeness displayed by some employees. While I understand that busy days can be stressful, it is essential to remember that customers are there to share in the holiday spirit. Specifically, I encountered an employee who, while handing out information cards, seemed dismissive and unwelcoming. This experience was disheartening, especially when we try to fill our kids’ heads with the joy of Christmas. I believe that every interaction with customers should reflect the joy and wonder of the season. I hope that you can address this matter to ensure that future visitors have a more positive experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I truly hope that the holiday spirit can be restored for everyone visiting your stand. Sincerely, Rodi

Very professional and inviting atmosphere. I had my eyebrows done by the owner they looked exactly how I wanted. I went today and another girl helped same results I couldn't be happier I found my forever place💜

This is one of the very small numbers of malls left that still have a full selection of stores & food spots. Most malls now are empty & have nothing worth going there for. Plaza bonita still has restaurants & cafeteria area AMC movie theatre, a VR playground spot, and a gym! This Plaza is still good & thriving. It's fun to even just walk around To hang out.

Google
This place has been up since I was a child I love going there because they always have the cutest things. And now they have a really nice food court

Claudio Cruz

Google
Pretty cool experience, good prices, I like that it is a covered mall in case it rains. There is a great variety of stores and the food court has plenty of options to choose from. Definetely like walking through here and get a little of exercise window shopping.

Google
This mall is a South Bay Gem in my opinion more convenient than the other malls easy to navigate best part it’s the only indoor mall in San Diego so hot weather, cold weather, and rain proof. Has AMC , Target, Round 1, good food court options and EV charging stations. They are constantly updating with new stores and attractions. Every year pumpkin patch, circus Vargas etc.

Nice mall. Reminded me of being a teenager. Been a long time since I've shopped (or walked around with my teenage girlfriend) in one, lol. Although it's pretty well maintained inside, it fails to impress on the outside (stairwells adjoining the parking garage, large swaths of construction and/or maintenance around the outside perimeter, and outside elevators which are not maintained well but necessary to traverse floors are a few disappointments).

Yelp
Good mall to go to! Always has a bunch of things to do and has a movie theater inside by the food court. They just opened up Round1 (huge arcade) and I would highly recommend the place! It's clean and super easy to upload $$ onto your Round1 card. (KEEP CARD! It works at any Round1 place and can be refilled anytime!) Anyways, the mall always seems clean every time I go there and we haven't ran into any issues coming here. I recommend coming here for some fun! A good place to hang out and enjoy the ambiance.

Yelp
Might not be the right place to review but couldn't find and actual review page for Cherry Hill Programs. For the past few yrs... Christmas and Easter pictures have brought a great amount of traffic to the malls. I believe is time to actually get the big boss to review/look into who gets hired to take pictures. The prices are VERY expensive, YOU CAN'T TAKE personal photos and just to top it off same crew keeps on getting hire year after year, not a bad thing but most of the employees might need to be evaluated. I drove to 3 of their malls in San Diego and it left me wondering if anyone else has experience anything like I/we did. The Team and Management were unprofessional, rolling eyes, serious face, bad language ( I'm very Caucasian and my partner African) we both speak Spanish. Long story short we understood everything one of the manager was saying (short dark hair hispanic lady, Otay Ranch) we bought a frame she said cash only didn't get a receipt for it. The Next mall is outside, super cold night and everyone was taking more then 10 min with Santa, the team was mostly new, they said no training was given to them and had no idea how to edit photos. The last mall was the worst Plaza Bonita the manager is a young lady who by the way was showing all her chest tattoos, chewing gum and the attitude that came with her was poorly. She told the couple infront of us she doesn't speak Spanish and roll her eyes, luckily we were there and help the couple. The pictures are expensive I'm assuming the families are expecting a good treatment and beautiful pictures. The gentleman working with her was just staring at the couple it look like they we're talking about the situation and laughing. It made us feel unwelcome and we were not the ones who need it help. Once our turn came to pay same gentleman, was touching his nose piercing and then grab our pictures(unsanitary) I can see myself coming another year or on Easter to the same treatment. The We don't get pay for pictures we sell or get pay good comments just made me want to write this review. Hope Cherry Hill gets to read and take action on what's going with the employees and not just focusing on the cash.

Yelp
From the many malls that are from the North County Fair there have been many malls that have many years for the many malls that are located in the city that started with their own theater. For the one that had been here in San Diego with the greatest place you can say that it had its own Ferrel's Ice Cream Restaurant. One of the many malls that had many years of History for the mall has had many historical restaurants for when the mall was opened for Plaza Bonita one of the many that had its own merry go round . The area of the Plaza Bonita the mall area has many restaurants for the mall and restaurants to the outside and the ones that are located at the top floors of the Parking Garage. For Plaza Bonita has been one ma that when the holidays come to the season they decorate from the front door to the food court. one of the greatest that had caught my eye was the introduction of one of the tallest Christmas trees and the ever popular Christmas plant tree. The size of Plaza Bonita is one that when you come to the mall you have many parking areas for the addition of the parking garage that is attached to the mall's food court. Taking the bus to the Shopping mall saves time and the bus stops at the front area you can walk to the front where you come through the front doors takes you past the famous restaurant of the Broken Yolk that has some the best dishes with the many groups that come to the restaurant. For the holidays coming up and the black Friday shopping Plaza Bonita Mall has the many stores where you can find the best sales the kids will like new arcades that have opened on the main floor. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer for the many that are going shopping Plaza Bonita is one place that you can find so much for the holidays the shopping mall does get crowded. Plaza Bonita is one mall that has many things to do for shopping you can have the best coffee drinks you can relax in the food court .

Yelp
Best indoor mall in San Diego in my opinion They are slowly adding new restaurants and stores. They are opening up a Round 1 early 2024, can't wait! Plenty of parking! Lots of food choices throughout the mall. They have an AMC theatre. I like that they have a Target incase you need to grab last minute essential. Lots of stores that fits your budget or high end needs, this mall is great for any crowd.

Yelp
The hostess was delightful. The waitress was just as sweet as can be. Started with coffee. It came out the temperature of cool tap water and was old. Offered to bring fresh, which the did, hot but not flavorful. Ordered boneless chicken wings. Hard and dry and touch to chew. Sent back, they brought a new plate, we each ate one and done. Not as bad, but still overcooked and the breading was really hard. Sirloin steaks, over cooked and tough to chew. Mashed potatoes were alright, broccoli was the highlight. Left most of our food on the plates. Took meat home for stray cat. Horrible meal, great service, but we will not be patronizing any Applebees ever again. Coffee should ALWAYS be fresh and hot. We were weary and hungry, and left so dissatisfied.

Kalo K.

Yelp
Plaza Bonita management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this disgrace of graffiti in the stairwells next to the elevator. Smells like piss everywhere you walk outside. Looks more like an abandoned mall rather than one that actually is open to the the public

Jomar A.

Yelp
It's alright. The first mall I have ever been to when I was a kid-- when Jollibee was a thing in this mall. This mall is alright, nothing too special about it compared to other malls. Which is also why it's a 3-star-- it's pretty bland. Again, it's not different compared to other malls. Most of the time I come here is just to window shop and not really buy anything from the stores, and maybe go to the food court and buy some food. That's about it. It's meh. 3/5.

Yelp
TEEN SOCIAL MALL The first shopping mall in South San Diego, and it's still standing strong. I consider this the "teenage break-in social mall." Here are amazing things you can do at the mall while keeping your teen and their buddies near without hovering: *It's indoors and air conditioned. *There's a movie theater. You can finally catch the rated "R" flick. *Target-you can successfully complete that errand. BTW, the line is always long. *Or if you want to catch up on work in the eating plaza, bring a book or your laptop because there's plenty of seating, chairs and free Wi-Fi. *It's a smaller shotgun mall end to end, easy access to your teen. Stores I like: (Mac, Pandora, JcPenney, Cinnabon, Baskin Robbins) "Wanting the best for your child means giving them freedom." #juken123 #westfieldplazabonita # plazabonitamall #teenslikethismall #teenmallexperience #parentboredatmall

Yelp
One of the few indoor malls in San Diego. I don't recommend it because I'm comparing it to other malls in San Diego. There are much better ones compared to this one. The stores are pretty similar here at Westfield. Mostly shoe stores, off brand sports stores, animae and a few chain stores sprinkled out. The food court is decent, but it's always packed and lines are long. I prefer fashion valley or Westfield mall in mission valley. My absolute go-to mall is the UTC outdoor mall in La Jolla.

Mai H.

Yelp
I've only frequented this mall few times prior, and I would usually just go straight to the store I need to visit; but I never actually explored and walked around the entire mall until last night. There's so much to do! Food court has a variety of cuisines ranging from Mexican, Pizza, burgers, Ramen, Japanese, Korean hot dogs, bubble teas, etc... outside the food court, there are also standalone restaurants inside the mall, such as Cajun/Seafood, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Manna KBBQ inside! There are your typical stores; but also unique stores, such as Miniso that have popular brands: Sanrio, Disney, Hello Kitty. There's also much to do: AMC movie theater, VR park/gaming lounge, bowling and arcade is coming soon. Honestly, I could spend all day here: eat, shop, games, watch a movie, walk around... Definitely coming here more often!

Maureen J.

Yelp
This mall has evolved. I remember coming here as a kid when it was mainly brown lol The mall has gotten bigger, but parking sucks when it is busy. There is a lot of stores I like to go to and a pretty good food court. I'm not as familiar with the mall, but it's ok to navigate through. The crowds suck... my kiddo found a lot of empty boxes from which appeared to have stolen items. I only like to come here when I'm doing online pick ups. I wouldn't say this is the friendliest mall either.

Yelp
I purchased a wedding set, was not aware lab grown diamonds have no resale value. The manager was quick to tell me how to pay extra on the account, but was not quick to tell me if I was not happy with purchase I could return it in 90 days. Granted this is being pointed out to me more now that I am trying to get my money back. I am being told this is on the receipt. I have been trying to get my money back since the end of May a few days past the 90 days once I learned there is no value to these "diamonds". I contacted Synchrony Bank, who holds the credit for this account with JCP, you know it, they told me I have to deal with the store itself. I also looked up who owns JCP and many more, they too shoved, the little fixed income consumer aside. I will be taking on a job to pay these wicked, but smart companies off. I am going to be more an advocate for the consumer now since these big companies feel we don't matter. Do not purchase lab grown "diamonds" they have no resale value.

Dee Dee K.

Yelp
I like this mall quite a bit during the week. On weekends it can be somewhat of a nightmare. I parked on the top level this time and since the elevator was taking so long to arrive, my sister and I opted for the stairs. Never again! Very wall was covered in graffiti and there were puddles of what smelled like urine in the corners. Shame on Plaza Bonita for not cleaning up this awful mess.

Fernando R.

Yelp
I truly love this mall! I grew up coming here! My gosh so many memories at this mall! Also this mall have some of the best clothing stores! This is a great place to hangout! This mall has everything! All the good stuff! You will find everything here! I highly recommend this mall! Also such a beautiful indoor 3 story mall!

Yelp
Black Friday total fail. The worst experience I've ever had at Plaza Bonita, in the 15 years I've been going to this mall. I woke up early because I wanted to go to "BoxLunch" at the mall, the hours shown on the store website stated that it opens at 6 am, We arrived at the mall around 6:20, and none of the doors were unlocked, except for one, My Wife and I, along with a few other people walked into the Mall. Nothing appeared to be open except for Bath & Body Works, We assumed that whoever was supposed to open BoxLunch was running late in opening, We walked into Bath & Body Works, and shopped their sale, we then went back to BoxLunch, and it still wasn't open. We decided that we would wait until 7:00 and if no one showed up we would just leave. Just after we sat down after about 3 minutes, a security guard walked up to us and demanded we leave the mall immediately, we tried to explain why we were there and what we were doing, but he said his boss had seen us sitting down at a table and wants us to leave the mall. Why was it so important that we leave so promptly? Especially when there were stores open in the mall? When we asked about that, he just said, it was because they were having sales, it was Black Friday, and EVERYONE IN THE MALL IS HAVING SALES. It was unnecessary and uncalled for, to force us to leave when we were just sitting, waiting to see if the store would open soon.

Shania N.

Yelp
I've gone to this mall for many many years. I have seen changes, and I celebrated one of my birthdays at the John's Incredible Pizza during my elementary school days. But, it's now a liquidation store or from when I was last there. Personally, I like this mall! It's indoors. I love the food selection especially Potato Corner because where else can you find that in San Diego? Everything is run so casually, and I think it's worth going to this mall.

Derick M.

Yelp
I visited on the 16th of April 2023. At around 6:15pm someone was running through the hallways yelling nonsense and people including employees ran in a panic. The police came as well. I think it's spineless that Plaza Bonita doesn't address this anywhere on social media etc. By word of mouth people have been hearing that it is no longer safe here. It's important to keep people informed and show that you're doing something if you want people to continue shopping here.

Ashley L.

Yelp
**** PANDA EXPRESS *** Love Panda Express ! They are great and always have military discount.

Phuong G.

Yelp
Definitely doesn't have a lot of well known stores here compared to other malls but based on the location the stores here have more discounted clothes and deals. Spacious, clean and bright, this inside mall is one of my favorites. I come here often during the summer to stay out of the heat and get my shopping fix. They have a nice food court area as well on the second floor. Good selection of food. A lot of small kiosks here as well. Parking is crazy during the weekend and can take a long time to get parking. I always end up parking in the back and just walking. They have restaurants here as well, if you're looking to dine in and then shop or shop and dine in afterwards. There is even a target as well. Pretty much you can do a all in one stop shopping spree here. Eat, shop, get groceries, etc. Beware, the target parking is the worst. It is always packed.

F V.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and was looking for the nearest Tilly's location to see if they had any shirts I wanted. Plus, I needed to go to Target, which there's one attached to this mall. Score. There's plenty of parking for both the Target and the mall. The mall was clean and pretty large. The majority of the stores I wasn't interested in except for maybe 3. There's your typical mall stores plus a few eating places or places to get coffees or smoothies. There's also an AMC theater in here. I don't often go to the mall but every now and then it's nice to walk through and window shop.

Lani M.

Yelp
Mine & my husband's go-to mall. It's indoors. Especially great when it's cold out so our baby doesn't get sick. Food court has many options. They don't have high end/brand named stores here unfortunately. But we like to go grab food usually, walk around to see if we want to purchase anything after our meal, & usually stop by Target. I love the food court options. The mall stores are so/so. Only thing missing is the high end stores. But I doubt they will do that. Gotta go to Fashion Valley for that.

Leo V.

Yelp
This shopping center has all I need. I get groceries shoes and clothes here. Also did my Christmas shopping here. The prices aren't bad.

Frank N.

Yelp
I grew up in the Southbay a 59 year resident, I watched them remove the old golf course and build the original version back in the day. The expansion is world class and rivals any mall in San Diego. Thanks to Westfield for keeping great tenants and an awesome food court. My only problem is the lack of street sweeping to the west parking lot outside of the Men's Warehouse, every foot of the parking lot is splattered with bird poop, it's so bad I'd think you couldn't set your bags down or wear your shoes into your home. The mall operations folks really need to take care of the filth this lot contains. It's a possible health hazard. Clean it up.

Taura G.

Yelp
Open and pretty light traffic inside. Shoppers all had on masks. Mall was super clean and many stores had specials for COVID-19 Shoppers. We will come back in about a week to get Cinnabons again.

RunDisney M.

Yelp
I was very impressed with this business establishment. From the very moment I walked in, my family was greeted with a smile and a genuine hello. The employees here were so kind and friendly. You can tell that there are good people who work here. They take pride in their jobs and serving customers. I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. That really says a lot about this business and their employees. I will be back to patronize this business and would recommend it to anyone in the area. A+ service all the way. Five . Highly recommended in my opinion!

R O.

Yelp
Broken AC, employee said it's because its hot outside and there's nothing management will do about it.

Maricela C.

Yelp
Maintenance of the air returns could use some improvement, it was disgusting to look up and see them so dirty. Cleanliness should be a priority, especially during these times.

Narissa M.

Yelp
This place is A-ok. Stores: It has a Target, Macy's, Hollister, American Eagle, Forever 21, H&M, Zumiez, Tilly's, among others. Movies: AMC movie theater Food Court: Subway, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Stone Oven, Panda Express, Cinnabon, etc., sit down restaurants like Red Robin and Applebees, Outback Steakhouse, and John's Incredible Pizza is perfect for kids parties. They have all the trendy stores for clothes, jewelry and makeup, and after coming here for over 15 years, people still can be found wearing the most ridiculous fashion, trying so hard to see and be seen(insert gagging noises). One other thing I despise about this mall is the overly aggressive sellers in the pop up stores in the middle of the walkway or whatever you call it; you know, the ones where they try to straighten your hair, give you lotions, clean your sneakers, and then proceed to do their hard sell on you. Parking: On any regular day, it's not too difficult to find parking here, but I usually try to avoid this place on holidays and weekends. Definitely, you will not see me here around Christmas time. The last time I attempted shopping here in November/December, I circled the parking lots for almost an hour before I threw in the towel. Never again.

Alexander G.

Yelp
On our impromptu adventure day, Kristine C. took me to an old stomping ground in National City. One of our stops was the Westfield Plaza Bonita; a large mall with character near the border. They have tons of surface lot parking; it's easy to enter from any side. It was also refreshing to experience a completely indoor mall. The mall is deceivingly large. Entering at the one end, when I explored it felt it just kept going. They have all the mall staples; lots of clothes, shoes, food court, and anchor stores. The most novel for me was the Target with mall entrance, it was a nice one. I liked how roomy and airy it is; high ceilings and large open spaces. Near the food court you'll also find the movie theatre; I loved the big mural. The mall has an older vibe but it's well maintained and kept up to date. Prices here were more reasonable than other places we visited. It was a fun place to shop and explore!

Veronica A.

Yelp
No fittings rooms open at any stores. The only store (revolution) with their fitting rooms open told me I could only try on 3 items in the store. Period. Not try on 3 items at a time and switch out for 3 more items when I'm done. Just 3 items and then I won't be able to try on anything else. No wonder there's a bunch of vacant store spaces here. I was planning on buying 7 items and walked away with 1. Even worse the return policies are trash. If something doesn't fit I can't get my money back just store credit. I go to the mall in person as opposed to shopping online because I like to try clothes on before I buy them. Since I can't do that here I might as well do my shopping online. Not coming back here.

Kaylah A.

Yelp
I just want to give a huge thank you or shout out to Adriana the custodian or janitor of the mall, I was completely irresponsible and left my purse in the food court and she was an angel sent from heaven and turned it into mall security. She SAVED my life!!! I just want to give her the recognition she deserves! Thank you so much Adriana!

Janet A.

Yelp
This review is for the JC penny fine jewelry dept. Arlene Morales was friendly and efficient!! Purchased several pieces-fun experience. Thanks Arlene...

James B.

Yelp
They painted over the kids hand prints that have been there for years? Why? My kids loved to look at those every time we went to the family bathroom... just poor management!

Charlotte R.

Yelp
My daughter bought nose rings from this store. The store claimed the product was surgical steel. It was not surgical steel. The nose ring turned green. Caused the area on her nose to turn green. Went back to the store and spoke with manager Valentino. We showed him the earrings, a copy of the receipt and the actual transaction copy from the bank with the last 4 digits. He would not replace, exchange or refund the earrings. He clearly saw the earrings were green. He even said it was the fault of the manufacturer. I have shopped at the store in Irvine, never had an issue. Always great customer service. The store in Plaza Bonita, San Diego is a different story. The employees need customer service training. The store is liable for selling a product that someone is allergic to but they have labeled it falsely. The manager could have simply did a refund or exchange. The product was less than 20.00 dollars. Bad employees will bankrupt a good company.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Not cool seeing this in the food court area. Imagine the ones you don't see. In plain sight. Can say I'll be eating at this mall.

Galina B.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Westfield Plaza Bonita. It's the only mall I know of with so many different options to eat, from fast food all the way to fine dining. I've also found some great clothes for less than what you would pay for at some of the other malls around here.

Breeana A.

Yelp
this is for the santa photo op, not the plaza bonita mall. the people who work at santa's photo area are terribly rude. the website says they accept walk ups and we even came yesterday asking if we can come again today, they said yes. when we got there at 2:30, they wouldn't let us even line up! they said it was our fault for coming late but they don't close until til 4!!website even says walk ups are still welcome!! this was a terrible experience and the manager definitely needs to learn how to be nice! especially during the christmas season! we weren't the only families turned away either, i hope the staff enjoyed their christmas eve because my family definitely didn't.

Vaani S.

Yelp
I went to this mall for the first time recently and Man I am impressed. Many great stores and the food court is super big. One major thing which drives me to drive till National city is the parking. The parking scenes are a lot better than Fashion Valley or UTC. They have a super huge lot with many spots which is great.

Jackie T.

Yelp
I ain't gonna front. I love this mall. I was initially looking for a particular store which led me to the mall, and I am so glad it did. The first time I pulled up, I think I parked in the back so it looked very nondescript. But once I walked inside I was pleasantly surprised. It's not fancy like Fashion Valley in San Diego with high end stores. What Plaza Bonita has is stores that caters to most demographics. Need a haircut? They've got you covered. Need to pay a cell phone bill or get a new phone? They've got AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile stores in this mall. They've got a Target in the mall!!!! They've also got movie theaters Want to take the kids out for a great meal? They've got a Hooters (okay, just kidding, but they really do have a Hooters up in this mall). They also have a lot of the stores you expect to see in a mall, like Victoria Secret, Footlocker, Bath & Body Works, Lids, etc. So in a nutshell, you can totally spend a full day here hitting up a lot of different stores. I can totally envision one just coming to the mall and staying all day without leaving and have a lot accomplished (especially during the holiday season approaching).

Leaf K.

Yelp
decent mall. not dead like many others. slightly crowded when I went on a saturday in the middle of the day. bathrooms are somewhat lacking. single ply or rough toilet paper in the bathrooms. some hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. a few candy shops, pretty interesting. transit helpfully located nearby. good amount of food offerings. escalators in macy's were out of order. honestly, not that many interesting or unique stores that I saw. standard mall fare, similar to north county fair but, again, not obviously missing many businesses. hey, the water fountain did taste slightly like grass though. what's that about? it's acceptable regardless.

Chyna L.

Yelp
Love this mall nice variate of stores even though the people in the target are rude and dont know how to do there jobs that is another story but i feel like a lot of people are not social distancing and its a good way to get sick i also dont like how sometimes the bottom of the mall is closed but you can still walk in its very confusing then the escalator is sometimes avalibe sometimes not and you will not find any parking.

Chai L.

Yelp
My fave mall here in san diego. It has most of the stores that i like, forever21, h&m, victoria secret, macys, guess, vans, footlocker/nike, gymboree, and a lot more. If they will have zara & topshop then this will be just the mall i need. I like that this is indoor since sd gets really warm/hot in the afternoons & summer and really cold sometimes during winter. This mall is very family-friendly, i would always go here when my baby was just a few months old and I didn't have problems breastfeeding her coz there's family lounge with 2 private rooms where i can nurse her and there are some stuff to play with for smaller kids and tv toop. Theres also play area for kids and the train that goes around d mall's ground flr. I hope they have more food choices in the foodcourt.

Maritess C.

Yelp
Plaza Bonita has been my go to for an indoor mall that is close by where I live. My daughter wanted to go here to play on the playground. We got here early on a Sunday morning around 9:30 am but the stores don't open until 11 am on a Sunday. We ended up going to Target since they open at 8 am. I love how Target is open early. Hubby went to look around while my daughter and I stopped at Starbucks. I got a passion fruit iced tea with a pumpkin bread. My daughter loves the pumpkin bread. She ate the bread while I sipped on my passion fruit iced tea. I was not awake yet at 9 am. We ended up waiting for hubby. I figured I will start walking around the mall since we needed to walk to the other end to get to the playground. Once we got to the playground, we killed time before it hit 11 am. My daughter played for an hour and a half. Plaza Bonita has new stores. I did notice that the AT&T store is double the size and takes up two stores! The food court has different eateries such a Chipotle, Panda Express, Subway, Johnny Rockets, and a lot of other choices. I did not feel like eating at the food court so we ended up at Red Robbin. There is plenty of parking around this mall. Depends on what entrance you go to at this mall. Overall, always a fun experience here!

Yelp
Best mall to come too when it's raining & when it's too hot in the summer cuz it's a indoor mall I love that. One of my fav malls. I've been coming here since I was kid & yes back in the days in the 90's this mall was kind of ghetto & had wanna be thugs starting trouble but I'm glad to say they have really cleaned it up & brought the movie theater back! The food court here is one of the best you'll find in SD & you can eat there without birds trying to eat you're food or pooping on you (it's what happens at outdoor malls). And they got good restaurants to eat at from OutBack Steak to Appebees & El Torritos & they got a Gym here that is very affordable. And this is the place I come for my shoes they have a lot of stores my fav is Champs. The little train here for the kids is great. And for the most part it's very clean & you got friendly security here. A lot of good clothes stores here but mainly for woman more then men but it's cool cuz you can come here shopping for you're lady when she's mad at you cuz you came home drunk late smelling Iike cheap strippers & weed (they got a Kay's jewelry here go there). Yeah it's a pricey mall some stores are over price with there items & parking on weekends can be hard but over all a good mall to come to shop with the fam make it a event & eat later with them here & get something for everyone. And you can shop comfortable with no rain or hot sun hitting you.

Yelp
Food is great but we miss the singer/band. It lacks entertainment when we were there.

Yelp
Today I went to Plaza Bonita Mall and notice some changes. * O's American Kitchen shut down and will soon be "Broken Yolk" * Play Area got moved in front of Macy's. * Disney Store got a new location on upper level near JCPenney. * Burger King got added to the Food Court. * Now have animal carts to ride around the mall. * Hooters got added to the mall on Lower level next to Target. So that's what changed since the last time I came to this mall. But I gotta say, I had a good time. I love to walk around and go to the stores I like. I like H&M, Spencer's, Disney Store, It's Sugar and Target.

Yelp
You think Plaza Bonita is ghetto or hood?? I don't, at least not anymore. Plaza Bonita has come a long way since I first step foot in here in the mid 80's. I actually remember my very first visit here, when the hang out was Gold Mine and the movie theater was downstairs. Talk about ghetto or hood. It sure was in the 80's and 90's, but definitely not now. I'm sure the element is still there because Plaza Bonita is in-between National City, Spring Valley, Eastside, and Southside. However, you have to give Westfield props for cleaning this mall up. You'll find plenty of eats, stores, a Target, and a big AMC movie theater at Plaza Bonita. Only issue I have is their parking. This mall has a ton of parking, but on the weekends are hard to find.

Yelp
Kids play area is ridiculous. There's a height limit and middle school sized kids are in there playing. Climbing on stuff and knocking all the smaller kids down. And when parents say something the other parent gets offended or wants to fight. They need to put a security guard or employee there to monitor the kids area. Mall is ok. A lot of no name shops with cheap clothes now.
