You shouldn’t trust people who write a review based on one experience. That said, I had the Cesar Salad. The best Cesar I’ve ever had is the one I make. Their version is beyond basic, which for some, is exactly what you need sometimes. The dressing fell flat, not bold- but it wasn’t bad. You can tell a lot about the rest of the menu from the way they make their salad. The $11 sirloin add on was a 3.5/5. Tender, cooked well but under seasoned, which I think is the theme of this place. This was a delivery experience, the salad came intact and the steak was warm. I wouldn’t pay for a repeat performance here, but if my boss wants to buy me lunch again from here, I wouldn’t say no.

I LOVE coming to any Westville location when I am in New York! Today I went to the Upper West Side location with a huge group and they had a table for all 11 of us. There is always something for everyone to order including for any dietary needs. My favorite is the pesto mashed potatoes. I recommend Westville for any family or friend dinner.

Great family restaurant with a variety of options for all ages. The grilled cheese was delicious and so..was the freshly brewed iced tea. Great soups, fries and salads. We even got their coffees at the end. Overall a fun time. The service was a bit slow and off. They kept forgetting a couple of our dishes.

I love this Westville location! They have a wide variety of dishes and lots of vegetarian options. I especially love their kale salad, I keep coming back for that one. It's very reasonably priced and they usually have a spot available, even if you didn't make a reservation. Also very suitable for groups, they are very flexible with reservations! The servers are super friendly too.

Got a scrambled egg sandwich with Portuguese muffin and salad. Great quantity for $13. Taste is good too. Overall a nice brunch spot in a spacious place.

This place is cute, clean and the service is good. I had a the house veggie burger though and it didn’t have the vegan cheese, no black beans, and was basically a gluey mass of something with a few corn kernels in it. It had no taste and the texture was like sticky mashed potatoes. Really not good. The sweet potato fries were good but not very hot. Everyone else’s food looked good and they had no complaints except to say it was nothing special. So just watch out for the house vegan burger. And in spite of my complaint to the waiter, we weren’t comped for this disgusting mess.

The staff at Westville UWS were very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed their Westville Cobb salad - it had a good portion of protein and delicious feta cheese. My friend liked their steak sandwich with French fries. I would like to try that next week. Overall, it’s a nice neighborhood restaurant to hang out with friends.

Received a very sad version of the turkey burger tonight. One pickle - nothing else. Cold fries. Burnt bun. Confused how someone in the kitchen would feel good about sending this out?

My girlfriend and I came here yesterday. She had been to one of the other locations before and suggested it. We got 4 different veggies as an appetizer. Then we ordered off the brunch menu (it was around 3pm when we went but we asked and our server said it wasn't a problem). I got the breakfast burrito and she got the chilaquiles. We both enjoyed the food a lot. Service was good. The restaurant was clean. Sorry but I'm taking 1 star away because their bathroom had no paper towels. They use an air dryer instead. Everyone already knows those are gross.

Perfect meal to kick off my summer vacation! Filling, fresh, and full of flavor. The sangria is very mango forward. Didn't taste very forward of alcohol so if you prefer a stronger drink this isn't it. But it was sweet, cold, and refreshing. The pretzel bites were perfectly soft & warm with a tangy honey mustard. My salad had thick pieces of mozz which I love. The pickled onions are perfectly pickled. I wish the bacon was not as crispy but would definitely order again!

I had a great experience at Westville on my recent trip. I have been at this location 3 times now The menu is extensive and there are vegan options galore. I ordered the 4 market vegetables plate for dinner and they were all so delicious. The portions are really wonderful. The service was great and attentive. It seemed all the workers helped each other. The restaurant was clean and bright.

Ordered Uber eats. It was great quality and i was impressed. I wanted the greek salad with a kale base which I loved and I'm glad they were able to make the change. The bread with the goat cheese that came with the salad was also great. Great ratios of everything. I loved the bottled water they sell.

Westville is always a reliable option for a nice sit down place with healthy food and a menu with something for everyone. I've been to the UWS location several times now. It's always nice coming here and this location has the iconic Westville decor, with a vibe that takes you away from the hubbub of the city. Getting the market plate is always a good strategy for sneaking in some veggies into your day. I love that the veggies are not boring and are always well done for a satisfying meal. Be sure to make reservations since it can get pretty busy on weekends here. The tables can be tiny and they don't all have hooks on them. That being said, my visits here are always pleasant. Will be stopping by again.

When you order a salad online, this is the size of the dressing it comes with. It's absolutely ridiculous and barely covers a leaf. They used to give a normal sized dressing and then downsized for some reason. The salad is damn good but the pinch of dressing kills it. I used to order this multiple times a week but sadly have to stop now and it kills me. FWIW I also ask in notes for extra dressing and they just ignore it :(

Oof westville - we've been to your other spots and never had a bad time like this. We came in on a week night, no reservation, there were plenty of tables available. We were sat immediately and ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down, the ambiance was good. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable, just that alone would deter me from coming back. We then waited, and I emphasize, 48 minutes until we were able to flag down anyone to ask where our food was. We got a burger and the grilled chicken market item. Overall it took around ~55 minutes for our food to come out. The staff told us they had gotten slammed with delivery orders and attempted to remedy it with a cookie. Unfortunately we came to westville for a healthy dinner, so we gave the cookie away. -3 stars for the extremely long wait, lack of service and uncomfortable chairs Very disappointed with westville on the UWS, would recommend you lower your expectations if you've been to others in the city.

Enjoyed the California Benedict for brunch last week, food was great and the server was awesome. Great easy vibes here, highly recommend!

Westville is always a solid brunch spot. The ingredients are fresh and I always have to get an order of sweet potato fries every time I visit. Only con is that we feel a little rushed out from our meal.

**takeout only** I do have to say I was impressed with the quality of the product and food. It was pricey for what you got though. I ordered the chicken cutlet platter - I have to say I was very impressed with the veggie sides. I opted for green beans with soy sauce and pesto mashed potatoes. The chicken was very crispy and moist/chewy. I'd like to try their beet salad which also sounded amaze balls. The restaurant is technically not open right now, for dine-in anyway, but the takeout was very quick and seamless!

My roommate and I passed by Westville a few days ago and the food from afar looked amazing, so we decided to try it out. To be honest we were a bit skeptical... "is this one of the types of places that the food looks unreal, but in reality it's just mid". And to no surprise it is, but not in a bad way! The food isn't amazing, but does the job. They have a bunch of options, so would come back and try something else.

I had a Market Plate, with my choice of 3 sides. Everything was delicious: fresh, well seasoned, and reasonably priced. There were 17 different sides to choose from and was told they rotate seasonally. I will probably order a Market Plate every time I go back, and I will definitely go back soon. I'm not a vegetarian, but I love well prepared vegetables and Westville's selections were so appealing. The service was friendly and efficient.

Bella is the most phenomenal bartendress I have ever received service from! Friendly and professional, I can always count on a good experience at this location.

My favorite casual spot on the UWS! I usually get the market plate with a variety of vegetable sides for just $18. This place has great friendly service too.

Love Westville! I've been to several locations. The food is delic. Real BBQ vibe in nyc no less. I love the market plates. So tasty with the selections and sauces yum. Oh and the mint lemonade is fab. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great addition to the UWS! If you are looking for a restaurant that serves healthy, creative meals at a fair price, then Westville is the place to go. I've been there twice in the last week, once for brunch and once for dinner. Both meals were terrific. On both occasions my friends and I shared so we could taste various selections and all was great. For breakfast both avocado toast and mushroom toast were yummy. Each came with a side salad. Our recent dinner - a perfectly cooked turkey burger and the market plate - a selection of four freshly cooked vegetables. We chose beets with goat cheese and walnuts, cauliflower with Parmesan, grilled asparagus and roasted carrots. Can't wait to return. Westville is my new neighborhood "go to".

I've been going to the West Village and East Village locations for years and was super excited when this location opened up. My husband and I went for dinner last night. I made a reservation but when we arrived the bar was open so we opted for seats there. Food was great. Service was wonderful. I'm excited to have this as a reliable option for dinner on any given night. Hats off to the team, opening a new restaurant in this climate cannot be easy. Quick edit: The only other feedback I would add is that the overall ambiance could maybe be thought over a bit more. The lighting was maybe a little much for dinnertime.

My son and I dined here on a Friday evening. We had a great time sitting outside. The service was great. I had a refreshing Lagunitas IPA and the burger. My son had the Mac and cheese and enjoyed it. This place is right next to us so I know we will be back.

Received a fruit salad which was not fresh. Waiter took it back and charged for this dish. When we requested to talk to the person in charged, he insisted that we will pay for this dis (this was our tip for the server). One of the worst service provider restaurant and experience that I have ever had. Before they start to serve food, they need to learn what customer service means. Good was ok. That it. Not more not less. Total experience, I wish there was a negative rating. How to improve, explain to your managers that they are in the service industry. You will never see me again.

The new upper Westside place is well appointed and the food is delicious and fresh There is a large selection of healthy foods well done and very tasty

Very average but a reasonable addition to the fine restaurant-lacking UWS. Ambiance especially outside helps, but again a disappointment

Waste of time! Don't go without a reservation. We put are name down on the waitlist and was told it would be 20 minutes. Went to check after 30 minutes only to be told it would be another 20 minutes.

WOW this new place has a good reputation, so today we tried it. Tried the grilled salmon it had no taste. The garlic potatoes were very good and so were the string beans. The cauliflower were OK and so were the Brussels sprouts. All the food was room temperature! Might go back to try something else.

Was waiting for the UWS location to open and happy to report, it's as good as the other locations. Simple decor, attentive service and the food was excellent. Give it a whirl.

The dishes were mostly skimpy on the proteins. I had a chicken bowl over rice which came with 4 strips of chicken. My daughter, who is not a big eater, although thought she had a lot of carbs left over after finishing her fish. i would give it another try but not in a hurry to.

Was so looking forward to trying this new UWS restaurant. I ordered the vegetable platter. Tofu was two tasteless pieces of tofu with a little teriyaki sauce. Nothing special about the beef salad or Cauliflower. The chairs are horribly uncomfortable. Maybe they want a fast turnover. I did not see an interesting dish go by me.

I met up with some friend here got dinner. Food was good. My steak was yummy. Service started off slow but after that our server was great. Will definitely go back

My friend and I stopped by for brunch this afternoon and had the best time. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was joyful. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Oliver whom really left a memorable experience with us and is the reason I felt promoted to write this review. His hospitality was wonderful and we'll definitely be back. God bless you Oliver.

I had 4 different vegetables from the menu and it was so good I took mushrooms and brussel sprouts hone! Super nice service as well!

I cant give 5 stars to what is basically a glorified diner but that said, WV UWS is a winner. Fair prices friendly attentive service diverse menu and yummy food. Its become a staple for us in a short time.

The food is fresh and delicious but the service is spotty. Sometimes the wait staff is attentive and other times you can't find them. Sorry to say it's always very noisy probably because it's pretty popular. Call in advance for a reservation or go at an off time. My only complaint is about the drinks; you can get a free refill of regular coffee but not decaf coffee. What is that about????

We're so excited to have Westville in the neighborhood!! We were downtown regulars, and were psyched to find the same delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great service at the new location. We came for brunch with friends and our kids and it was just great. Will definitely be back, and definitely recommend.

I ordered the chicken breast and two sides. Sauteed mushrooms and fries. Wasn't exactly what I had in mind. The mushrooms were good. But the fries were not only scant but poorly prepared. Another member of my party had the grilled steak. Looked dry. The salad was looked really lifeless. My wife who ordered the fish sandwich found it to be a total disaster. The aesthetics are great, along with the 80s music. The service was a B+. They had a number of waiters, but not all of the seemed to be in the dining area working and making sure that everyone had what they needed....water...condiments etc. The prices were high relative to the quality of food we received. I think if you stick to the Salads and Soups you may get a beter experience. But this is the Upper West Side and with all the competition from other neighborhood restaraunts, they really need to step up their game, because the food served to us was really mediocre diner's food.
