"Tofu pudding is freshly made on the spot – just add toppings such as grass jelly, red beans or lotus seeds. Or try their drinkable versions, in which the soybean flavour is complemented by the velvety texture of a smoothie." - Michelin Inspector

The Breakfast Club: 6 Soya Beancurd Places To Get Out Of Bed For

"This corner stall at Whampoa Market opens at the crack of dawn and serves only hot beancurd in their signature red bowls and metal spoon. Long lines are a usual sight but the wait is short and well worth it for tau huay that is still made traditionally using gypsum rather than commercial lactone. The result is silky soft beancurd that melts smoothly in your mouth." - Rachel Tan

I'm really fond of the soybean aroma in this dish. Even from a distance, I could detect the enticing scent of soybean milk and the sweetness of the traditional syrup as I approached the hawker centre. Priced at an average of $1.30 each. For our drinks, we opted for a Hot Soy Milk and an Iced Soy Milk, each offering its own unique appeal. My dad preferred the hot version for its creamy texture and nutty fragrance, whereas I found the iced version to be more refreshing and lighter. The highlight of our meal was definitely the hot soybean curd (Tao Hway). It was exceptionally soft, incredibly smooth, and delightfully light, reminiscent of eating soft-boiled egg whites. The sugar syrup added a nostalgic touch to the experience. Rating: 5/5 🌟

Reliable spot for some good soy. I love the grass jelly desserts with palm seed. One thing to note is that you should ask for less sugar bc I find it a bit sweet, but still overall quality very high.

Heard so much great things about the wonderful soya bean curd, etc. My first visit to eat at the stall did not disappoint. It was indeed very good and it lives up to its much talked about reputation. Smooth. And a joy to swallow every spoonful. But be prepared to queue. The long queue is perpetual and never ending.

Soya bean milk was fragrant and full bodied. It was also relatively cheap at $1.30. However, auntie didn’t give me the option for less sugar. Cash only. Also would prefer that it was served in proper cups instead of disposables for dine-in. Expect long queue.

I ordered number 13 which was a mix of grass jelly and beans curd but look at the tiny amount of grass jelly she gave?!! (Granted I had already eaten the dessert before I decided I was gonna give this place a review because I was pissed hence the photo taken was after eating it) When I pointed it out to the lady could she give more grass jelly instead of beancurd, she sniped back saying they don’t customize etc (this was adding on to her refusal to accept my request of rose soy milk drink to the dessert despite saying I’ll pay additional)! My point is she was very rude and impolite about it which I feel made eating it very unpleasant! The sad part was it was actually quite a nice beancurd taste wise but her attitude left a very unpleasant taste in the mouth ☹️ My mum later on told me years and years ago she had a row with this stall because of her rudeness / horrible attitude in serving customers- I guess things don’t change but it’s worth boycotting for sure!!! 😾

Look for the long line. It moves very fast though. Great silky texture on the 豆花 but maybe too fall-apart. I’ve had their red bean and red bean/lotus/ginkgo combos and appreciate that the toppings are soft but not mushy. The toppings are the most fragrant out there - more sweet than any other note - but I’d say better than most.

i love their soya bean and grass jelly its the best however the queue is long and you have to hope you queue at the correct timing , unpleasant for me as the queue initially wasnt even that long , due to so many regulars they have some of them dont even queue and just order by cutting queue. if they were like seniors (elderly) i would have understand but most of them are like just past 20s was stuck in the same for a good 5-7min with like 2-3 different regulars the last did a bulk one which threw me off and the line builds up gets longer. i would queue for the soya bean but if constantly they just let their regulars cut it would be unfair to those who queue-d for it as we wait longer some more in a sunny morning ! service wise they are fast but still its not fair for us who queue-d and the aunty is quite rude.. so be prepared if you get agitated easily other than that the soya bean is amazing so is the beancurd ! silky and smooth , its really handmade , the grass jelly is just there the same as most places
