Whataburger

Had the patty melt on a texas toast, and the hamburger patties were so dry and unseasoned. Isn't the texas toast supposed to taste like butter, not Whataburgers... It tasted like they dipped it in leftover hamburger grease. Their fries tasted like the typical generic frozen kind. When I first walked in to pick up my order, the staff continued to do their tasks and did not greet us. After standing around for a few minutes, I finally excused myself for some assistance. The only thing that was appealing was the clean dining area, but there were only 2 other people there. Sorry, Whataburgers, after hearing all the hype on social media, you ended up disappointing us. Now it's time to go back to In and Out!

9/25/23 0800hrs $8.46. Breakfast burger meal small drink & fries. 4 Hash Browns, burger has Ham, Egg, Hash Brown, and Meat patty. It was delicious! I wish the had browns were fresh and hot. U can’t go wrong with spicy ketchup! Fast & Friendly service. Cashier has a welcoming greetings & smile!

I went here last night to get 2 meals. Always good service but we got food poisoning.. that’s a awesome way to start off our new years hoping someone see this who can make sure there’s no cross contamination going on love what a burger but definitely won’t be eating there for awhile also I’m confused on how they measure there fry’s because I’m sure I ordered a large not a small

My mom and I came to eat here. We were greeted and given the bathroom pass key as well. The food was fresh. They were cleaning the floor while we were eating and he was drying the floor with the tray and it came flying at my mom. And it smells like chemicals.

The food was pretty good I only stopped in for a short time so I was there about 20 minutes all together. I think the food took about 10 minutes and afterwards I grabbed some apple pies, I'll definitely be stopping back thanks.

Placed an order for pickup and waited 15 minutes pasts my pickup time. They also forgot all my sauces. Most of which I paid for. I had ordered a medium fry and a large fry and they gave me 2 medium amounts even thoe they gave me a large fry container ( should’ve just ordered 2 medium fries) Usually they’re pretty good with the order but tonight was different. Not good considering I paid over $30 tonight Update- I had asked and paid for bacon on my Green chile double and this is what they put on…

I do not live in a location that has a Whatburger, so I decided to give it a try, fresh off the plane, headed to my hotel. Sad to say, I would not recommend either this location or Whatburger as a whole. Unsure if the food is this way at other locations. How does one freshly order food and it comes out of the window cold and stale. I just ordered it. The young lady was very nice and courteous, but the burger patty had been sitting and so had the fries. I chose not to get a replacement as I didn't believe it would come out better, it was that bad. Anywho, they had a line of people at lunch time on a Monday, so possibly it isn't always this way. I did not go back my entire trip and it was right behind my hotel.

My order was very fast so I expected fresh and hot, not so much. When they deliver to your table inside they bring condiments, but not when it's curb side pickup? Also there was a guy on the roof throwing dirty air filters to the ground right in front of my vehicle.

Needed a small bite before the Morgan Wallen Concert. The front counter girl was friendly, young, African American. The food came out fast. But the burger tasted okay. Not sure if something happened, but it doesn't taste like it used to before. Overall, I gave them numerous shot in the past. I probably won't come back, unless I have to.

We stopped by Whataburger while in Tempe for graduation week, curious to finally try it. Sadly, the experience missed the mark. We ordered the #1 and #2 meals, plus an Avocado Bacon Burger without the bun and onion rings. The burger came with a bun, and the receipt didn't mention "no bun" even though the employee confirmed it when taking our order. To make things worse, the food was cold by the time we got it, which really took away from the meal. On top of that, one of the employees made us uncomfortable by repeatedly trying to chat and even coming up to our table. We didn't want to be rude, but it felt intrusive and awkward. Between the wrong order, cold food, and uncomfortable interaction, it just wasn't a great first impression.

Had the occasion to wait for a client and decided to stop at Whataburger for lunch. I never ever have Whataburger. It's not close to me, I don't think that they have that many locations in central Phoenix. This location was clean and had very retro fiberglass and vinyl seating. Reminded me of McDonald's or Taco Bell back in the 90s. I bought two Whataburger Jrs and added cheese. Their onions are diced and they always use mustard on their burgers. It's different... Maybe a little weird and definitely unexpected to get mustard on a burger from a chain. Tastes a bit more like something you would have a barbecue.

Best fast food burger in AZ! It is a must with every visit to AZ. Wish we had one in Carlsbad. On the same level as in-N-Out and definitely several levels above the others

Waited ten minutes for cold fries. No one in the drive thru no one in the restaurant. They also burped over the intercom while we waited to order so looks like it was a leisurely shift there at this whataburger. All other locations consistently give us fresh hot food not sure what's going on here.

The worst burger joint of my life. I don't even know where to begin. If you went to high school in the '90s or early 2000s, you'll know what I'm talking about. Those cafeteria burgers with buns way too big and patties thinner than a strand of hair. Now imagine something worse. I went to this place around 11 PM, and I was the only one in the drive-thru. There's no way they could've messed up the order, right? I ordered a bacon burger. Got home, and guess what? No bacon. The fries looked just like McDonald's but tasted like they were two days old, and the chicken strip? Chewing on rubber would've been easier. And to top it all off, not a single napkin in the bag. Do yourself a favor and never support this kind of business. Save your money, and if you're that hungry, just swallow your spit. It'll be better for you. Goodbye, trash burger.

Was craving a patty melt with onion rings so I stop by haven't been in such a long time the guy was a little confused in the drive-through not sure why they weren't very busy ordered my food got home the burger was kind of dry not enough sauce and the onion rings oh my God they tasted nasty like the oil was so old will not be going back

First I want to thank this establishment for not using kiosk. I don't like kiosk! So we ate there. The hamburgers are delicious. The store was clean. A girl brought condiments around on a tray. One guy who worked there saw I couldn't find napkins and went without me asking and got me some napkins. I WILL go here again.

So this is our third time having WhatABurger. First time I had it in Houston, the food was cold by the time I ate it and it didn't taste like much. I was thinking this place is overrated lol. Then I tried it again in Dallas and loved it. The staff at this location was very nice. Special shoutout to Mikela and Krista for helping us with our order and questions. I don't eat beef which I'm sure they're probably more known for as a fast food chain. Next time I order a WhatAChicken sandwich I'm going to request extra WhatASauce because my wife got an extra cup and it was pretty good but I didn't taste it much on my sandwich. Can't wait til bring a location in Vegas

My first time & surprised to see one in Phx!!! My son ordered the burger- which i found dry, but I ordered the patty melt & the best that I ever had! Don't forget to try their awesome ketchup. Servers are nice & the place looks safe

This location was great then something happened to it. My online orders are coming out like complete trash and I'm missing food!! I don't know if the drivers are stealing food or the employees are just not giving a flying F***. My most recent order today was a jalapeño burger with onion rings and a side of Nashville hot wings with a drink, but all I got was just the burger and drink! Like where TF is the rest of my food!!

polo is a very handsome man;) so sweet and hardworking man he greets very well. He's amazing , but his employees need to step it up, they be giving you attitude

STAY AWAY!!!!!! If you decide to eat here, unwrap ALL of you food items and examine to make sure they're correct and not burnt. I was missing items, burgers were burnt, no sauces, no napkins. Very upset

Rude staff member in the drive thru today! Was not polite I asked for extra napkins he gave zero in the bag ! You were purposely being mean for whatever reason I don't know. Also no manners what so ever. Guy in glasses your lucky your name isn't on the receipt or I would of contacted HR

3.5 stars. I had no idea Whataburger existed outside of Texas, so this was a pleasant surprise. I ordered in the drive thru and got the Hatch Chile burger meal, plus a cinnamon roll because "wait...you guys sell cinnamon rolls?!?" and took it back to the hotel. The drive thru took forever, which wouldn't have been an issue but the food wasn't all that hot once I received it. To my surprise, the cinnamon roll was good...like really good. But given that the restaurant is named after burgers, I expected better in that department. I'm left wondering if maybe Whataburger in Texas is better. Maybe it is? I suggest a name change: Whatacinnamonroll.

Whataburger is a Texas institution visiting Phoenix from the Northeast I was excited to visit Whataburger in Phoenix. It was fantastic just like I remembered the burgers from Texas. Service was great very attentive and the ambiance was awesome and fun like it should be at a burger joint.

Underwhelmed. Disappointed. Turned off. Probably one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. The burger was dry and unflavored. The fries were undercooked. The soda was flat. I couldn't even eat all of it. 1/5

Yesterday I had came here ordered chicken tenders with white gravy. Not thinking of anything but I had taken a bite of my tender with the white gravy. As soon as I tasted it but the gravy was spoiled & it smelt like sour milk. Manger kept refusing to give me my refund back just kept asking what I wanted to eat because the refund would have to have authorization & I refused to get another order.

the food was little expensive but the burger was good and the fries was a little too salty for my liking but overall it was good service was good

Worst customer service ever! I've ordered food for pick up 3 times in a row and still had to wait over 40 minutes after the pick up time. The app is useless at this particular restaurant. This last time i ordered the chicken strips with the white gravy. And an extra side of gravy that i paid for. Got home and there was no white gravy. I called and the manager said if i would come back, they would replace the meal and give me gravy. I told him I also wanted a refund if I have to drive all the way back down there. He flat out told me no. So i said " i have to drive there twice because of your mistake and you won't do anything for my trouble?" He said you can call back and ask Amanda in the morning. Whataburger's food is great but i will drive twice as far to avoid this place.

Curiosity killed the cat. Many people boast about this burger chain, and before my trip back home, I had to find out what this place is all about. I ordered the Whataburger, double burger, to see what the namesake would be all about. The burger itself was poorly assembled, with mustard dressing, pieces of iceberg lettuce, chopped onions and wet pickles. The quality control was incredibly poor and it looks like a terrible, sad burger. It tasted like one too, and I found myself more and more miserable with every bite. The place itself was clean, simple, and among the rush hour things seemed to work out. However, workers appeared to be confused at times, and there was quite a delay in getting orders. While there are many options here as to what to order, I found myself ending with a lackluster burger - the reason why I was here. Hashtag, as they say it, sad.

Visiting from out of town- This place is across the street from where we are staying- so it was disappointing that the food was room temperature at best. We didn't make any stops from their window to the room- maybe 5 minutes total and cold fries just aren't the best Giving 3* for the potential - I'm sure it would of been tastier if a bit warmer

So this review is from last Monday ... I am a little late posting. Anyhow, I waited in the drive through for 30+ minutes (not joking) but to make it worse, there was only two cars in front of me ... it wasn't like there was already a huge line when I pulled up. The total seemed really high for the very small order I placed which prompted me to inquire at the window why it was so high for two small breakfast sandwiches. The lady said because I added bacon. I told her that I did add on bacon for the apron $1.90 extra but that the total still didn't add up. She seemed super irritated as if I was trying to penny pinch. I made her go item by item so prove my point. Sure enough somehow they had added a $8+ meal to my order that wasn't even a breakfast item. Before this visit, I hadn't gone in for around a year because my last try, I went inside and ended up walking right back out. There was an overwhelming oder of rotten moldy mop water. Needless to say, I will not come back. Lesson learned.

HORRIBLE PLACE HORRIBLE SERVICE! I'm a vegetarian and do not eat hamburgers but I have gone here twice to pick up burgers for friends. I ordered curbside both times and forgot what a nightmare this place is. Whataburger has a pretty cool online curbside pick up option, if the employees follow it! I waited 10 minutes and nothing. I watched 1 curbside delivery from and employee and she stopped to talk with another employee. I was so frustrated I went inside to get the order....not one customer in line. Workers walking around, literally like zombies. They do not acknowledge you, look at you and walk away. The manager was wearing a face mask as a chin strap....really? What an example she was NOT setting for the other employees and what's the point in wearing a face mask if it's not on your face? I opted for curbside, not because I'm lazy....but for my personal precautions due to covid. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! I WILL NOT COME BACK AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!

I went in with high expectations, I've heard good things, but was starkly disappointed. Shit burger.

Was greeted politely when entered and the restaurant was clean and organized. Food was great! Thank you. The only problem was that there was Jesus music playing on the speakers and because of this there's no way I could eat in peace... I asked the manager to turn it off and he did. A reminder to whataburger employees this is not a Christian nation and Jesus is not real. non-believers don't want to hear your abusive and indoctrinating music and they shouldn't have to. Ramen

A whataburger is a whataburger. Always the same. Reason for five star review is the manager that was on duty tonight. He was the nicest guy and his customer service was impeccable. I saw the way he interacted with the employees and he was just stellar.

Waited for 12 mins at the curbside parking after waiting in the Drive thru.. There were 2 cars behind me that were at the curb and they got there food before me? I ordered a a #2 with onion rings and no mustard on my sandwich. The window attendent and the same person that brought out my food and he was courteous. No napkins or any ketchup for my onion rings in my bag. Seems to me the manager is in the office sitting or not not making sure that the line or the pickup window orders are coordinated and going out right?

Late night comfort food! I like there grilled chicken it's a some what healthy option at 12am! The kids and hubby love the burgers!

I tried to order a buffalo ranch chicken strip sandwich even though it's not on the menu anymore and told them I can just order the bbq chicken strip sandwich and sub the sauces on the side so I can make it into the buffalo ranch myself.. this is where it started getting f'd up... I took a couple of bites out of the sandwich and it was actually really good until I noticed I was about to bite into a lot of bbq sauce and realized they made me the sandwich I didn't want while also giving me the buffalo sauce on the side (they forgot to give me the ranch). I paid about 11-$12 for this so of course I'm gonna go back to ask them to correct this since I was eating with my friend in my car and the line wasn't busy. I went back and they made me a new sandwich, but this time I noticed once I got back to the parking spot that they didn't put the veggies this time that I ordered the first time, so I had to go back in line to ask for those. When I finally put everything in and started eating this sandwich I noticed the chicken tenders were super hard like they were old af. And I'm not surprised bc they gave me that new sandwich within 1 minute of me asking for it after I asked for a new one bc the first had bbq sauce in it. I don't think I've ever made a negative review for whataburger and I'm from TX I've been to a lot, but this was very upsetting because of how much time I wasted just to eat this sandwich after all and realize I'm eating an old azz sandwich. I'm never going here again. This review needs to be a lesson for everyone (customers, minimum wage employees, hiring managers/ trainers) I shouldn't expect too much going to a fast food joint so I'll just never come back. Easy. Whoever gave me the old azz chicken tenders this review is for you, and the one that took my order and f'd this up in the first place. And to whoever is reading this .. if you spent 25+ minutes just going in and out of the drive thru line trying to get your order correct after 2am you would be pissed too after biting into hard chicken tenders after everything. 2:27AM 12/21/23

It took 35 minutes to get through the drive thru. Out of iced tea. And the lemonad omg how much sugar do they put in there?? I couldn't drink it, I felt like the alien in Men in Black, drinking sugar water. Woman who took our order lacked customer service. Food was fine, Fries were hot, and burger looked good, but honestly I'm not a fan of the mustard. It was the delay that was the absolute worst. We should have picked Taco Bell next door. Won't be returning to this place again.

Being an In-N-Out fan, we heard about this place and thought to give it a try. Totally disappointed. My burger was tasteless except for the huge amount of mustard that was put in it (scraped it off and still tasted like mustard) and my onion rings were super greasy. Fries were just ok and the spicy chicken sandwich was mediocre. Liked that the food was brought to the table (felt spoiled). Overall, not impressed at all. Definitely will stick to my In-N-Out and won't be returning here.

Definitely not open 24 hours. Come at night and they will likely tell ou a reason why they can't serve. If you're not 24hrs then update your hours online.. On the last trip they forgot several items and were out of several others which required a trip back. I do t think they will be in my foreseeable future.

13 minutes for this Whataburger to deliver one burger to me using drive-thru. And I was the only one in line for the first 5 minutes. The burger was cold when delivered. This site is going bad.

Probably one of the worst Whataburgers I have been to. Out of pancakes. Out of shakes. Forgot the coffee. After sitting for 20 minutes waiting in the drive thru, fries were ice cold and we were shorted a burger. Tried to tell the lady at the window and she argued with us about what we ordered. After many explanations, she finally agreed she still gave us the wrong burger. Let me add that the bag with our fries in it is marked L onion rings. What a mess. Every time we go to this location it's something bad. Go to another location. This one sucks.

Love Whataburger, but this location... It's slow. The kitchen is dirty. You can see it from the ordering counter. There are flies everywhere. Disgusting. Not up to standards I'm sure. Posted pic of the sign above the ordering counter with flies all over. They land on you while you wait.

So, how is it that there is a debate between this burger chain and In n Out or even spoken of in the same sentence? Nonsense. Needless to say, I was underwhelmed. The burger bun and patty is noticeably larger, but bigger isn't always better. The bun was thin and not soft. I like mustard, but they put too much of it. The patty isn't seasoned well. I'll make it short and sweet and say that I will not go out of my way to try it again. The fries are ok and the drink was cold. The drive thru service at this location is slow. In n Out here I come.

I'm told this place is better then in and out. I preordered the mushroom Swiss burger, Patty melt, & whataburger. The receipt said the food would be ready at 11:30 but when we got there the drive thru was packed! Our food was ready for pick up though once we got to the window. I was surprised the jr burgers are actually the size of a regular burger. I was going to swap out the ai jus sauce in my burger but I'm glad I didn't because it tasted good. I got the jalapeño ranch dip for my fries and it was pretty spicy. They did forget my cousin's cookie so she wasn't happy about that because that's all she really wanted.

I wish we had these in Spokane, ended up eating there several times. I love the burgers and the fries, very fresh.

Came by as I was craving Whataburger since I dont have it in my neck of the woods. Gabriel took my order accurately even though I was a party of 7 with modifications. Patricia was great as well.

My order was correct and Larry gave me my food was fantastic and awesome he made it the experience pleasant I like it when you go to a drive-through window and the person down the other end is just kind as can be so kudos to Larry I'll definitely be back because of him this is 9922 at 12:30 p.m.

I think Whataburger is the best burger place it's clean the burgers are great. The food is great.

Came here last night for the first time and it was good! We each had the mushroom Swiss burger meal with a Dr. Pepper shake and a strawberry shake. They were good! The burgers were huge! So come with an appetite. The fries were eh. I would skip the fries or do onion rings instead. The Dr. Pepper shake was really good not too sweet and good taste for something outside your traditional shakes. I couldn't even finish half the burger it was so big. You can easily split the meal. If ur not that hungry look at the light menu and get the whataburger JR or ask for small bun with any burger. I wish I knew that ahead of time and I would of went one of those routes. They were fast and they were friendly. I can't wait to come back again.

I have seen this burger chain for years traveling across the country but have never eaten at one until recently. Like everyone else who enjoys a nice hamburger patty or two in between a toasted bun. I love a great burger. Something about the combination of good hamburger meat with some melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and bun bread in your mouth. It's just magic if the burger is done right. Whataburger does it right. Open 24/7, this place cranks out food nonstop. Delivered to your table, your order comes with assorted dipping sauces to pick from. I would recommend the spicy ketchup. By far my favorite condiment. While I stuffed my face with my burger oldies rock and roll played within the restaurant. Ever so often drinking my soda and eating a fry or two. The fries themselves remind me very much like Mickey D's fries which I like. I usually don't review fast food chains but this place seemed different than other chains I have been to as far as quality and practices. Overall a great burger place. I was completely satisfied with my meal after. I highly recommend. Whatabuger has a new fan, me. Eat burgers here.

Obviously not a restaurant burger but pretty decent! Fries are great and spicy ketchup is bomb. From another state and we do not have Whataburger so always go when I can.

So, I just came here and picked up my order. I came home and 2 items were missing. What pisses me off is 1. This is not the first time this has happened at this location. It clearly says on my receipt everything that was ordered. Quality control people! Don't you check the oder to make sure everything is in the bag that was on the ticket? 2. I called this location and the phone would ring and then they'd answer and hang-up! Whoever is managing tonight (9-18-2021), you're doing a terrible job at keeping up with calls and checking on your crew to make sure they're doing their jobs. 3. I'm pissed that I drove all the way home to see items were missing that I paid for as well as disappointed that these folks are picking up the phone and then just hanging it up. NOT COOL. and yeah, I plan to reach out to the franchise owner.

Should be called...Whataletdown....Under cooked French Fries. Needed at least another three minutes in the fryer. A burger that wasn't even like warm. I wouldn't call their bacon REAL bacon. Obviously made way in advance since I was there a mere minute in the drive thru. Wish there was a In & Out or a Five Guys nearby.

Came by to get a burger and not a single person in the store Is wearing a mask. I have been to many establishment and the crew is wearing a mask. Cashier said it was an option. Um, The option to be sick for 10 days before they show symptoms apparently.
