Another pretty good Whataburger chain! Just don’t be surprised when you walk in though, it’s quite special! Food: 10/10 Great food, always nice and hot! Service: 10/10 Service is always super great, and everyone has endearing smiles! Super great service! Atmosphere: 10/10 Great atmosphere, not too loud nor too quiet. Has a lot of interesting stuff going on!

Whataburger is great. Can’t go wrong with anything you get here. Theres options for everyone. Food is always fresh and consistent.

Its usually pretty decent but this time, not at all. Patty melt was a disaster and didn't have onions. They're not known for their salads but they usually come out quick so why not? The greens were so soggy and they added breaded chicken instead of grilled like I ordered.

I had an amazing first time at WHATABURGER! The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help with the menu. The burger was absolutely delicious. I definitely plan to return soon and bring friends along for the experience.

This. THIS is how Whataburgers used to be. In recent years, so many of them give such lackluster experiences. This one was clean, all the staff were busy including managers, and the food was delicious. Whataburger might be back on top for #1 burger again.

Austin Hwy location @ 8pm on 10/10/2025... First, I was given someone else's order, then my Wrangler Burger was missing a beef patty & a slice of cheese. When it was finally corrected, it had regular pickles, not extra. They were not on their "A" game. The location was clean & the food was good as always.

I just went to get some hamburger at night and everything was okay the food was great. It took a little more time than expected to receive the food even when there weren't too many cars in the line. But it was ok for me at that time.

This is my neighborhood Whataburger and I have consistently received great service here. The food is good, but the service has been up to dealing with me. The dining area at the beginning of the week was cleaning. The drive thru had already muscled through its lunch time rush and was reset waiting for the dinner and evening rush later on today. I ordered a few sandwiches and a couple of drinks. The orders came out right, and there was not a dry in sight after we ate. My daughter was actually asking for more. It was a good time at Whataburger.

Would have preferred a receipt that had an in house survey, but alas, not on my bag Stole money from me Paid for a whole jalapeño on line. Did not get one Why? Ridiculous. Not busy in drive through. No one else in curbside. Why didn't they take control of order

Dennis made such an impact on my drive-thru visit! He's super friendly, welcome and obviously super passionate about Whataburger! Not to mention my food was hot, ready quick and of course delicious! 1000% will be sharing my experience and recommending this location to everyone!

On our crusade to find the best Whataburger breakfast in San Antonio, we found ourselves wanting to leave the west side and expand our "Whataburger horizons" so we ended up here. I have been here a few times before so this review is a reflection of all of those experiences. My friend and I went to this location around 11 p.m. for a late breakfast. We both got the spicy honey butter chicken biscuits. This new take on the honey butter chicken biscuit was recently introduced to the menu and we've been obsessed with it since it came out. Both of the sandwiches were good, nothing different from the breakfast we've been getting from other Whataburger locations. We got some of the sauces we asked for so I can't complain. We waited in line for about 10 minutes. It wasn't too busy considering how busy they can get at night. The staff were friendly and it seemed like they weren't too busy.

I come almost every other day to this Whataburger restaurant 1052 and it mostly great but every employee has a different experience. Like today I ordered some whatawings and they didn't ask me if I needed ranch the next customer in line ordered the same and he was asked if he wanted ranch. So I asked for ranch dressing and the lady said it would be 42 cents more . It's seems they make up their own rules on how you get treated. Be cautious when eating here.

Our first time trying Whataburger and it was at this location. We were sure what to expect or what to order but everything looked delicious. It's fast food so we're not expecting much as long as the sandwiches are made the way they are suppose to be made, presented nicely, and we're not missing orders then the place is considered good in my book. Check, check, and check! Fries were made fresh and hot, sandwiches had everything and was presented nicely, and it tasted pretty good. My kids loved it. My daughter had the chicken strips and she doesn't even eat chicken strips, but she did from Whataburger. Real chicken breast and good crispyness to it. My son had the chicken sandwich, plain with just the Whataburger sauce, and he loved it. He loved the sauce and he usually eats a plain sandwich with nothing; not even ketchup and mustard. So this is a plus. I had the sweet and spicy burger. I loved it!! It's definitely my favorite because I love anything sweet and spicy, but it had grilled onions so that made it even better. It comes as a double, but I will ask for a single next time as that was too much meat for me. Overall, we liked this location. Staff was nice and got all our orders. Hopefully, all the other locations are like this. I'm definitely looking forward to try the other menu items. Quick and really good family meal food chain *thumbs up*.

I went for a Dr. Pepper milkshake and they said the machine is down. What is this, McDonald's?

Our first stop after we landed. I originally wanted Texas BBQ as my first meal in this state but little did I know, my exhaustion weighed more than my hunger. I opted for something quick and inexpensive. Craig took me here and he parked. I was like, "There's a drive-thru" but he said it would take very long so in we went and I ordered away; a kid's burger (comes w/ fries, a drink, and a dessert (can pick from sugar cookie, fruit snacks, or chocolate chip cookie), a kid's 2 piece tenders, and I ordered a jalapeño burger (no sides). The wait was incredibly long. Ok. I am being dramatic but it wasn't at the speed of an ordinary fast food. There was a wait! I didn't have a problem w/ service. As we were waiting, I overheard a woman asking if they could make her burger lettuce-wrapped. She said the other locations did it for her. The 2 employees told her that they couldn't but I did not see any impoliteness on their part. OMG. Is that how I sound like at In N Out whenever I order a 3x3 protein-style?! Loved the variety of sauces they have. I enjoyed their spicy chicken very much. Tess finished her burger. Gavin ate 1 tender and his fries. I inhaled my jalapeño burger. Glad I tried it and I can finally cross it off of my bucket list.

Late night this spot is dangerous bc it may take 20-30 mins for them to take your order, and bc of the extreme delay, the other customers try to drive around you in the drive through (to get out), which can result in them brushing up against your car. If you have a nice car, don't do the drive through here late night. They are extremely slow, which will result in drunk drivers trying to exit

I was excited when Whataburger opened up a location on Austin Hwy a few years back. I would no longer have to leave my neighborhood to get my large unsweet teas (my caffeine fix of choice)! Unfortunately, I've had multiple subpar experiences here. For example, I picked up a late dinner with my husband tonight. We waited until 11 PM so we could cash in on the breakfast menu--Whataburger breakfast is special to us. We already knew going in that the wait time would be long (even if we were the only people using the drive-thru, which we were). It always is at Whataburger, but this location takes longer than most, imho. We were prepared for it, though; it's not like we had anywhere else to be. One of my few pleasures in life is a large unsweet tea. I gave up sodas a few years back, so unsweet tea is my new crutch. I had been looking forward to my tea all night. Lame, I know. BUT IT'S ALL I HAVE. Well, turns out they served me a large SWEET tea. Unlike my fellow Texans, I absolutely LOATHE sweet tea. And I didn't discover this until I got home; returning it would've been more trouble than it was worth, so I just threw it out. (We also didn't get any napkins, which is a minor complaint, but c'mon! We were the only people there!!!) So yeah. Not only are we out $2.24, but I had to drink water tonight. :( While the tea fiasco was a grave injustice, the food was good and the lady who took care of us was nice, so I'm giving this location 3 stars.

Terrible service, fries were overcooked and stale. The top bun broke apart and caused the burger to fall apart aft two bites. Defi not going back to this place.

Worst Whataburger out of all of them. I've even had the Whataburger(not worthy of the name) in Florida, and even they put this place to shame. Order is never correct, and drive thru wait times are ridiculous (30 min +) even on slow nights. Even when ordering through the app I have waited 30 mins. Like I already ordered and paid. All that was left was to cook the food? Set an order time for 2:05-2:10, was at the box to order at 2:07, and somehow they had gave my order away around the time I ordered in the app @ 12:00 for the above 2 o'clock and window. Then had the audacity to make me feel like it was my fault having 3 people check my receipt. Condiments and napkins are never in the bag. One time they even apologized and said they put an apple pie in for the inconvenience. Got to work started eating and then realized they never put the pie in the bag.

Would be 5 stars if they had a little bigger menu. The burgers are flavorful. I wasn't impressed with the french fries. Shakes are great too. Staff is also friendly, good company culture.

There are 36,864 different ways to make a Whataburger!! Who is up for the challenge to try them all? Good consistent regional chain that offers hot fresh food, prepared to order. The service is friendly. Whatapleasure is Whataburger.

This comment is NOT restaurant specific. The spicy chicken sandwich is not up to the normal standards for this company! If this is not a frozen, pre-breaded patty, it sure does look and taste like one. This sub-standard quality is not what you expect from a revered SA restaurant. Please offer a freshly-breaded higher quality product. I know you have the capability to make a better sandwich than that!

So I've seen the commercials of Whataburger on tv and I wonder what's good about it... So I decided to give it a try. These chains are open 24/7 so it's good for late night food. I ordered the Whataburger Party Melt mean to see how it tastes. Buns: they use regular toast as their buns Meat: it comes with two patties mixed with American Cheese and cooked onions. Fries: nothing fancy. Reminds me of McDonald's Fries but less flavor. Veggies: just the cooked onions... Meh Overall experience was acceptable if you are hungry and everything else is closed. Can't say it's healthy though but once in a while it's okay. Verdict: "A Texas Treasure" is what the brand says..... Not too much of a treasure...

Do not waste your money here. I walk in and immediately get denied service. This place does not value its costumers. I have been a customer at this location for over 10 years and I will never be returning. They used to be really friendly and clearly they got a new manager because whoever was working woke up with an angry scowl. This place needs to undergo new management. Do not go here. Terrible service.

This Whataburger is usually okay with getting the order right but tonight they forgot my extra chicken strips I ordered on the side. I called the store and they didn't answer. There were 12+ cars in line when I left. It's disappointing but besides the chicken strips the order was made correctly. The lady at the drive thru window seemed very unhappy to be there as well. It was a 5/10 experience. The missing chicken strips and the lack of enthusiasm was enough to make it an okay but not good experience. I'll return again.

Ok let me first start off by saying Whataburger has always been my first choice for a burger. I grew up loving the food and the 2 am BOB. Now let me explain the 2 stars. This specific location is very new and when it first opened the service was awesome!!!! We even knew the names of some of the kids working there. They were fast and friendly and I never had to check my food. I knew it was right. The last 2 months have been completely opposite. I feel rushed in the drive thru like I interrupted their good time, and for god sake can you please stop forgetting stuff i ordered. First you forgot a Bob, then a fry, and then a order of hash browns. Why is the service so terrible now?? I'm not even mad anymore just sad.

So I thought to try this location, after a bad experience before. And encountered some Idiot Guy workers..After sitting near a female worker, since most areas had the sun shining bright in the restaurant. Later on, the Idiots start laughing and saying towards My direction "she's taken..she has a boyfriend!.." Which, I'm not even talking to. This location, needs to get some Decent workers.

Absolutely terrible. Dining room is messy and floors are sticky. Plus the kitchen got my order wrong.

Whataburger is a Texas thing. I'm from California. It was fast and cheap, but that's all I can say about it. The service is the worst! Rude employees. All because my order was wrong. I've had better.

Never gets an order right asked for no cheese on a taquito and repeated that request multiple times because I had been burned before. I get home and guess what it has cheese.

It's Whataburger. Great food and open 24 hrs. People are quick to get your food out to you so you can be in your way. Need I say more?

Good place to eat. Nothing special about it. I prefer CA fast food but I didn't have any complaints nor was I excited about the experience.

Heard good things about this burger joint so I decided to try it out. I ordered number 2 in their menu, it was good but not as good as In-and-Out. Their patties are less juicy and their fries is not as great compared to In-and-Out.

It's 2018 and this place still sucks! I went through the drive thru early in the wee hours of the morning and the lady didn't greet me, the food was greasy and very old, and she didn't even let me talk. I was trying to add something to my order and she just had me on my way. Plus, it took forever. Why can't you all get things right? Do you just not care?

This is absolutely the slowest "fast food" establishment I've ever been to. Expect to wait 15 minutes in the drive thru even if no one is in line.

I loved my experience going inside last time I was here. There were a ton of cars yet my order was out in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, both times iv been through the Drive through it's taken Aaron least 15minutes. The first time there were only like two cars in front of me, this time there were 3. I'm assuming maybe there was an issue with one of the cars in front of me, but the idea is that you would have them pull up to keep the flow of traffic going. Food was good though.

Stay away! I just used the drive thru at this location. I was directed to the outside lane. Shortly thereafter, the runner came outside, with no mask on, moved to about 6" away from me and, while I wouldn't say screamed in my face, spoke way too loudly and way too close, with no mask or other PPE on. I had to tell him to stop getting so close, like COVID is news to him. Other restaurants, and other Whataburgers are being smart about this. This location is not. I called the manager, as well as Whataburger corporate help lines, and both were very polite. That said, I will be calling the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District in the morning when they open to report my concerns. This restaurant is irresponsible and is going to get people sick. If you've had the same experience there, call 210-207-6000 and also make a complaint. They are not cut out for this situation.

Forgot my fries. How are you going to ask me if I want ketchup twice. For what, my imaginary fries? Paid $8 for a burger. I was the only person in the drive thru. General Manager Alexandria Coskey care to respond?

So so sad I've been here before but this is so badd the people do not talk and we asked why it took so long and they just ignored us. Will not be coming back we wait for 15 minutes and there was ONE car in front of us. COME ON really?

My first ever experience at a whataburger and it did not disappoint. You Texans have no idea how lucky you are to have a fast food place like this, back here in Ohio it's unheard of to: 1) have someone bring your order out to you 2) have someone bring you condiments 3) have someone offer to get you a refill 4) have a manager stop by and ask what you think 5) have spicy ketchup 6) have patience as you look over the menu You guys are doing fast food right.

Jalepeno breakfast biscuit!! OMG!! So glad I ordered this for breakfast! It's not too spicy has just the right amount of kick!

This is the worst design for a fast food restaurant - EVER. First, there's nothing fast about it; the staff is surly and in no hurry at all. Secondly, the drive through system was laid out by someone who can't even spell GED. I don't care how good Whataburger's food is, it's not worth the hassle of this location.

I'm so happy to see that there is a page on Yelp for this Whataburger location because the staff there deserves a HUGE thumbs up for a job well done! My boyfriend and I stopped by I the way home from work at around 3 AM a couple of weeks ago and the manager, Luis, greeted us so warmly and made us feel so welcome we were in shock! He shook our hands (in the drive through!) and told us a bit about the new location and how it will differ from others and introduced us to the kitchen manager. And he was unbelievable too! Having just left McDonalds where we were told through the drive through window that we had to order breakfast but they weren't allowed to change the menu to show us breakfast, this was incredible. I'm a bartender, and spending 40 hours a week making sure others feel very well taken care of, I have pretty high standards for service when I go out. And I have to say that these guys would have knocked it out of the park even in fine dining; in fast food the level of sincere, excellent service was just astounding and we have sung the praises of this place ever since!

Slowest drive through in town. Waited up to 20 min with only two cars in front of me.

I'm not sure what's going on at this Whataburger--either they're short-staffed or extremely lazy--but I've been waiting in the drive-thru for nearly 15, almost 20 minutes. I know 15 minutes doesn't sound like a long time, but for fast food at 10:30 at night, that is ridiculous. There were two cars in front of me. It shouldn't take this long. I won't be coming back here if this is how customer service is treated.

Awful. I thought whataburger was supposed to be fast food. Took 25 minutes from the time I entered the drive through till the time I got my food. There was only one car in front of me and about 10-15 people inside. The food was cold when I got it and the fries were old. I love whataburger but I will never come to this location again

Oh my god yes! Spent two years in Alaska craving this. And it was one of my first stops once I got back to the 48. Everyone here was very nice and patient which made me feel welcome. Had the patty melt, yum.

Okay, I showed up at 3:00a.m and received the service of my life. The cashier was so friendly and helpful with my order. I ordered the apple pie. Upon eating it I had some criticism that it might not be that delicious but I was soon proven wrong. This apple pie was anything I could ever ask for in a pie. Y'all have to visit at 3:00a.m and get an apple pie!

almost everytime i eat at this location, i find a hair in my food. it's definitely not my hair either because it's always a black hair and i have blonde hair. idk if the manager doesn't require them to wear hats or hair nets but something needs to be done about it. it's disgusting

Great place!!! Such a friendly staff and they always make the order right!! And don't worry about the price because you are getting your money's worth!! Great place!!!

I love Whataburger, but the 2 main issues I have with this place is the wait time is soooo long, and the pricing has gotten too expensive. I love the food, so getting lunch or dinner here is a splurge since it's expensive. I am also not happy they have gotten rid of their Chop House Cheddar Burger, which was my favorite. Bring it back, and not just for limited time!!!

My friends and I come to this whataburger very frequently and have never received anything short of excellent service. Rhonda is an absolute joy to meet and be around, and the food is always too notch!

I've been to whataburgers all around the state and this is the most disappointing. Cold food and bad service. It's worth the extra drive to another location.

SLOW. All the workers stand around or hide in the back. Took me 30 MINUTES to receive my order. I had to go up to the counter, they took my receipt so they could make my order for me. Also, the place was empty and nobody in drive thru. By the time I left, there was 4 families in line waiting for someone to come out to take their order. Whataburger company should be embarrassed of this location.
