Austin’s Best New Restaurant Suerte Adds Weekend Brunch | Eater Austin

"Several environmental groups — Environmental Texas, the Surfrider Foundation’s Texas Coastal Bend chapter, and Care2.com — have delivered a petition of more than 50,000 signatures urging the burger chain to stop using styrofoam cups and containers; the petition was sent to the company’s headquarters in San Antonio and to locations in Austin and Corpus Christi. The company says it is exploring alternatives that will “keep drinks at the right temperature” and, until a change is made, asks customers to properly dispose of existing cups. A meeting between the chain and the groups is scheduled for Wednesday, December 19." - Nadia Chaudhury

Another pretty good Whataburger chain! Just don’t be surprised when you walk in though, it’s quite special! Food: 10/10 Great food, always nice and hot! Service: 10/10 Service is always super great, and everyone has endearing smiles! Super great service! Atmosphere: 10/10 Great atmosphere, not too loud nor too quiet. Has a lot of interesting stuff going on!

Its usually pretty decent but this time, not at all. Patty melt was a disaster and didn't have onions. They're not known for their salads but they usually come out quick so why not? The greens were so soggy and they added breaded chicken instead of grilled like I ordered.

Austin Hwy location @ 8pm on 10/10/2025... First, I was given someone else's order, then my Wrangler Burger was missing a beef patty & a slice of cheese. When it was finally corrected, it had regular pickles, not extra. They were not on their "A" game. The location was clean & the food was good as always.

I just went to get some hamburger at night and everything was okay the food was great. It took a little more time than expected to receive the food even when there weren't too many cars in the line. But it was ok for me at that time.

I love this wataburger this location is my favorite the morning staff is so delightful and I love that jolly manager who worked on November 6 2025 didn’t catch his name but he was great could tell his employees love him, his service was amazing definitely love this location in the morning with the employees. Too bad the customers give them a hard time but 10/10 overall.

Location used to be very good, but vegetarians beware--two trips ago I asked for a salad with no meat and it came back to me with no chicken but two strips of bacon on top and I thought ok sure, maybe they thought that meant just no chicken so when I went back last night I ordered a salad no meat and then specified no bacon and no chicken and when I received it there was maybe half a strip of bacon very deliberately broken up into pieces and hidden buried throughout the salad. I never had that problem in the past, and everything else looked fine there, but it is definitely a place for anyone looking for meatless options to skip.

I appreciated the manager coming out to greet the customers who were in the restaurant. Employees were kind and friendly, area was clean. No complaints.
