"Several environmental groups — Environmental Texas, the Surfrider Foundation’s Texas Coastal Bend chapter, and Care2.com — have delivered a petition of more than 50,000 signatures urging the burger chain to stop using styrofoam cups and containers; the petition was sent to the company’s headquarters in San Antonio and to locations in Austin and Corpus Christi. The company says it is exploring alternatives that will “keep drinks at the right temperature” and, until a change is made, asks customers to properly dispose of existing cups.
